My cat was born under the couch I was sitting on 10 years ago. I was given his mother who was just a farm cat and she was pregnant and she only had two kittens him and his sister I gave his sister away and kept him and he's been bye my side ever since. He's grown up with my son Alex and he has a huge part of our lives I just lost my father about a year ago and I'm not ready to lose my best friend. Two weeks ago I took my cat to Camden veterinary hospital because he couldn't breathe well they took an x-ray and told me he had asthma they gave him a shot and a prescription that I couldn't afford to fill and so I took him back because he wasn't breathing well again and they gave him a corticosteroid shot but now he is panting not breathing well again and I have to take him back with no money. My cat has been there for me when nobody else has, I was really sick for 4 months at one point and that cat laid in bed with me and only got up to eat and use the litter box and got right back in bed with me and laid there with his head on my chest just loving me. He's extremely loving he's my baby losing him makes me just feel like I'm dying too he needs help that I can't pay for I'm a mess My father died about a year and a half ago leaving me the house that we were living in with a mortgage all financial responsibilities I'm a single mother to a 9-year-old boy the van I was driving the transmission went I'm from Maine I have no family here besides Alex.

Tiny lives with me and my family. We also have another cat named Toby’s be their best buds. Even since Tiny has been in the hospital Toby keeps looking for him and smelling/sitting at his favorite spots. Tiny was perfectly healthy his whole life with us which has been since 6 weeks old. He is good a drink in water, eating wet food, and dry food. This has all come a shock to us. We are devastated. On 9/22 he was spraying outside of his litter box, even though he has been neutered. He kept licking himself after spaying and he was walking like he was hurting. Knew then and there he had to be having a UTI. I took him to the vet and sure enough he had a UTI. 5 days later it’s 9/27 and now he’s not eating, throwing up, and laying in bed all day long. Took him to vet, he had a crystal blockage. Tiny is the soul of my existence. He greets me at the door every time I come home. He’s always watching me cook and waiting for me to turn my back so he can take a bite of my food. He’s a sneaky little baby and it keeps us both on our toes. He’s so forgiving, friendly, and always looking for a way to make my life more enjoyable. I hate to see him in such pain and suffering. This is was an unexpected situation for my fur baby. I am a full time student with a full time job that is barely covering the cost of my classes. I am unable to work a part time job due to my schooling in the evenings. After my rough days I like to come home to my fur baby.

Kitty-kitty was originally just a TY beanie baby that my special needs son happened upon and fell in love with in 2016. We had no cats then. In 2017, my husband and I discussed maybe getting a cat but would mostly love to find just a similar cat to our sons TY beanie. Believe it or not Dec of 2017, a week before Christmas; my husband got a message from a coworker with a pic of her!! Kitty is 7 yrs old and we haven't had any issues medically until recently. She injured herself jumping onto the toilet while the lid was up. Slipped and fell, which cause joint fluid build up that was looked at in Aug. She also was diagnosed with peridontal disease and need 4-5 molars removed. With the lump on her joint, it was fine till two weeks ago (early Sept). Not it's inflamed and large! Kitty loves to seem like she is not happy with our dog, but she will get caught laying and cuddling with our dog Nova. Kitty is sweet and silly, she acts like such a queen. At 7 yrs old she still acts entirely "kitten" like. Chasing her tail, chasing the dog (playfully), rolling on the floor and attacking her tail around the leg of the table. But she is also the most calm and loving, cuddle bug! Kitty was initially my son's companion until we rescued a polydactyl black cat; and then Kitty became a mother figure to our Black cat Link, while Link bonded with our son. Unfortunately, Link had a heart event at 4 yrs old this past July 21, 2024. We love her dearly!

This beautiful long hair tabby is a stable to our family, she has been with our family for 7 years now, she is an inside cat and loves her siblings. Nala is my daughters cat, we noticed that she was having trouble breathing my daughter had her in Kalamazoo mi where she goes to. College at Western university., she called me and told me what was going on. She took her to the vet and the immediacy said take her to the ER she went there and discovered she has water in her lungs they drained it out and gave her meds she was there for 6 hours Nala is special because she is our family, my daughter Lyndsey is her mommy, and she will do anything for this kitty. She is amazing with her siblings and always happy but since she is a princess she has to get her way:) she loves her mommy and lays with her and follows her Around in her apartment in Kalamazoo mi. This angel need to live on. Nala is a angel with myself being a single mom and working all the time it still isn’t enough to cover the vet bills we are trying to get help from family and friend but they can only do so much. Please please help Nala be healthy again.

We adopted Coco kitty in October of 2009. Coco has had a terrifying year. We had a really bad house fire due to faulty wiring and the smoke nearly killed her. We had to move our horses to a new stable where unbeknownst to me, they got Tungiasis. I caught it too, but I had no idea that I’d infected my coco kitty. Now Coco has an enormous wound that looks right out of the movie “Alien”. I have taken Coco to two different vets, but niether had ever even heard of Tungiasis before. So they had no idea how to proceed of what to do about the problem. To Coco is sweet and gentle. Shes not pushy or demanding. When I get into bed, she just quietly gets on the other pillow to sleep next to me. She loves catnip and she loves to nap on her cat tree. I was diagnosed with some degenerative auto immune diseases in 2013. But, I tried to deny that I was sick and continued to run myself into the ground. Then in the r ed nd of 2022 I had a stroke and it caused me to have severe double vision. So I couldn’t keep up with my job

I got my cat gibby as a stray, Outside of a Walmart dumpster. he was just a kitten and we became inseparable he is my emotional support animal and my best friend. I’ve had him since he was a baby and he’s three now I have agoraphobia And some other mental issues and he has been with me through everything Gibby I has always been very good health, I think that he might have a urinary blockage which I know is an emergency… emergency vets demand upfront payment, and I just want my baby to be okay. He is straining in the litterbox, and in pain.. and I’ve done everything in my power to try to keep something like this from happening. I have multiple water fountains, etc.. Gibby always talks with me. His favorite toys are string, even though I’ve spent so much On getting him nice toys he’d rather play with the string. He’s so funny and he follows me around everywhere. He’s like my little shadow. He’s helped my mental issues so much. He’s cured my loneliness. He’s my best friend This was totally unexpected. I don’t have much income because of my mental issues. I’m waiting on disability which hasn’t happened yet so it’s just my fiancé’s income, which is a lot. It’s enough to pay the bills and that’s it.

Dakota came to Nebraska Loves Cats after being abandoned on a farm near Chappel, Nebraska. Although, we know little about her history before coming to the farm, at first believed feral, she is actually very sweet natured. She is inside with Diector Michelle receiving the best care and food she deserves! Last summer Dakota took on a foster "mom" role for several kittens born to community cats. She is friendly with the other Nebraska Loves Cats residents, but when healthy, she enjoyed exploring outside around the farm and lounging in the sun! She occasionally likes to play as well, chasing the other cats! Dakota is especially endeared to the NLC team because of her care for last summers foster kittens. She has a beautiful calico coat and eyes! She is also a manx cat with a super cute bob tail! She can sometimes be vocal and talks to director Michelle! Probably complaining about something as most calicos like to do! Dakota's care is urgent! She began losing weight and losing interest in food. This caused her two need a visit to our vet in Sidney, Nebraska. Once there, she received fluids and was radiographed. A mass in her kidneys was discovered. She needs to see an oncologist that can reccomend and perform any needed treatment. This may include surgery. Nebraska Loves Cats is located in Chappell, Nebraska. This area is very rural and the treatment she needs is only available in Colorado. Her treatment by a specialist will be very expensive. The initial visit will cost $2500. There will also be expenses for travel.
