Valerie has been my boyfriend Jeremy's dog since she was 6 months old. When she was around one I came into her life and she has been my daughter ever since. When we aren't at work she is always with us. We just found out during Val's exam at Orchard Hills Animal Hospital that she has at least 5 tumors. The Vet said that they want to do blood work and x-rays to see if the tumors are spreading and more tests to see if they are cancerous. If the tests come back that they are cancerous then she would need surgery. Val isn't friendly with strangers or other dogs but she is everything to us. She is 12 years old but you would never guess that she is. To us she is so sweet and just a different kind of dog. There is something about her that connect us to a deeper level. She is in our soul. I couldn't imagine my life without her and I'm scared for that to ever happen. About a month ago I got laid off from my job with an expected return date, thankfully. The estimated quote the vet gave me is between $722-$838, way more is surgery is required. It would mean literally everything to have her healthy again.

In spring 2014 a local Italian woman's cat wandered away, returning with a litter of kittens. She was unable to care for them and in the box one kitten stood out among the rest, It was love at first sight. My husband, decided to name him Magneto, a name that seemed fitting for a little creature with both mischievous and loving qualities. From that moment on, Magneto became a member of our family. Maggo has lost his hearing and more recently developed some balance issues. After a trip to our vet we were referred to SEVN as something more sinister seemed to be at play. After our initial visit we were told his loss of balance among other serious symptoms points to a defect in his brain most likely a tumor or an infection. He now requires an MRI of his brain so he may be diagnosed and treated. Maggo was our emotional support during the loss of my first dog, who took it upon herself to train him as a kitten. Thus Maggo has inherited many dog-like traits which shape his unique personality. Fast forward, and Maggo has become my son's best friend, they spend every minute together. His presence is a reminder of the joy and love that pets bring into our lives, making each day brighter. We always have an pet emergency fund, but the near $6000 for his MRI and unknown treatment cost is more than we had planned for. Our upcoming move and our recent auto/ home loan leaves us in a tight financial spot. Please help our sweet boy with his imaging and treatment.

Marley Bob had 5 different owners before he had turned a year old. Passed from home to home, he was just looking to be loved. As a junior in college, I took over ownership and built an incredible bond with Mar. He fell in love with visiting my family (mostly his grammy), walking around my college campus, and being spoiled with toys! He’s always been a happy, healthy boy. On January 2nd, 2025 Marley was diagnosed with IVDD. We brought him to the emergency vet where they were able to quickly get him back on track. On January 28th, 2025 we woke up to Marley being unable to walk and in worse pain than the first time. We brought him back to the vet where they had provided pain medication and further advice. Now we need your help to get Marley laser therapy treatment. Marley shares a special bond with his dog brother, Kobe. They love to spend time together sun bathing, going for car rides, and running in circles around the couch. Marley also loves to give hugs to his humans as he stares into their eyes. He has been told many times by friends and family that he is an emotional healer and likes to hear he’s a “good boy”. With the sudden progression of his injury, we need help getting our good boy back to being his normal self again. IVDD is more likely to reoccur once a dog has had it before. Laser therapy will help Marley walk without back pain by reducing inflammation and repair tissues.

Cybil

Cybil is a 3 year old Great Dane in Buena Vista, VA, who needs $1,600 for Surgical Toe Amputation on the Back Left Paw.

I got Cybil as a surprise Mothers Day gift in 2021. She was the runt of the litter and the last one left. She was born with a condition called Mega Esophugus, no one was willing to take on that challenge. I fell in love with her immediately. She thrived once we figured out feeding and necessary routines. Currently, we have been told that a broken toe she got as a puppy never healed properly and shows signs of having had a chronic bone infection in it. We are facing toe amputation with her being high risk for, if not already, cancer. Cybil is my angel i never knew i needed. She is the 1st Dane i have ever owned and has made me fall in love with the breed. She has 1 sister and 3 brothers of all different breeds and she rules them all. She is truly one of our kids with her diva ways, demanding attention and funny personality. The bill for the procedure itself is est $1350-$1600. This is unexpected and as always, bad timing since we dont have emergency funds put aside. Ive never asked for help in this fashion but humbled for my pup's sake as i dont want this to get worse.

We got Nellie in Kentucky when she was 8 weeks old, for my son who is adhd and has anxiety. We love her so much and she is such a big part of our family, she has a sister that is 3 and an australian shepherd brother who is 3 as well that we rescued in 2023. Nellie loves car rides and being outside with the other 2 dogs she loves to play and be lazy in your lap and give you lots of kisses. Nellie has always been a very healthy and friendly pup, just in the last year we have noticed lameness in her rear legs, we have taken her to Village Vet in Maryville and they diagnosed her with her knee problems with both her knees have an ACL tear. Nellie is such a great girl she loves everyone and her best friend that she grew up with is her now 10 year-old brother they always sleep together every night and she makes sure he is protected. She loves to play with her furry siblings and will lay in anyone's lap to get some petting and give away her kisses to anyone who will let her Our situation has changed because my husband has had a huge change in his pay, he has been in car sales for 5 years. Our pets are like our kids and to see her not able to live her best life a just be happy with her furry sister and brother and with us.

Me and my husband wanted to get a dog for our son. So we started looking on KSL and we came across our brownie girl, and just immediately fell in love with her. We call her brown brown or brownie girl. So we went and saw her and just said yes as soon as we saw her. We just love her so much. She’s so sweet and gentle. And absolutely adores our son. They are the best of friends. We just love her! Around New Year’s Eve we started noticing that brownie’s eating was going downhill. She started getting very skinny, too skinny to walk even. So we took her millcreek veterinarian hospital. And she had ingested a rag of some sorts and it had balled up in her intestines. They took out the rag and stitched her up. Lake adores my son so much! She has a sister we call her the baby hippo. She is a half blue heeler and pit bull. She’s very gentle around everyone she meets. Such a love bug. I had knee surgery a few months back and haven’t been working. I’m still recovering from my divorce. Times are tough. My surgery really cleaned me out. Times are tough.

We rescued Arlo three months ago under heartbreaking circumstances. He was being sold outside a Walmart by his previous owner, and since he was one of the last puppies left, they were planning to throw him in the dumpster. Thankfully, friends of ours stepped in and saved him just in time, and we were lucky enough to bring him into our home. Arlo, our sweet 4-month-old pug, recently fractured his elbow after jumping off the couch. We took him to VCA Animal Hospital, where the vet confirmed that he needs surgery to heal properly. Without it, he may have permanent issues with his leg. As a college student, I can't afford the cost, and I’m asking for help to give Arlo the care he desperately needs to walk and play again. Arlo is the sweetest, most playful puppy. He’s full of energy, loves snuggling, and follows me everywhere I go. Even at the vet, despite the pain from his injury, he was still licking the doctor, showing his loving nature. He’s brought so much joy and light into my life, and I want to give him the chance to heal and keep spreading that happiness. He truly deserves a pain-free life. As a first-generation college student working two jobs, I wasn’t prepared for Arlo’s sudden injury and the cost of his surgery. It’s been overwhelming. Having him healthy again would mean the world to me. Any support would give him a chance at a happy life.

In April 2019, my daughter who lives in Grand Bahama caught glimpses of a male & female kitten playing in her yard. Her 6 Golden Retriever dogs welcomed them into the pack, but the cats would only let her feed them. Years later, after all her dogs died, she was left with the 2 cats, Rebecca & Snagglepuss, who preferred to stay outside but would come inside if it rained or was cold outside. Rebecca did not come for food on Sunday, 8th December, 2024 and showed up on Friday, 13th with serious facial injuries from an apparent dog bite: dislocated jaw & facial fractures. She is currently being treated at Freeport Veterinary Hospital, but needs to be flown to the U.S. for treatment from an orthopedic vet, as there are none on that island. Rebecca is a very dainty and loving cat. She is very close to her Brother, Snaggy. She is a fiercely independent huntress and is not afraid of dogs. She evidently crossed paths with a dog that was not friendly and paid a great price. If she survives this, I will keep her confined to my home and care for her as my own. We do not have the means to get "Becky" to Florida to receive the surgery she desperately needs. Her vet bills so far total over $ 600. We desperately need help to give her a second chance at life. Thus far, she has shown that she has the will to survive! Please help us!
