Peanut

Peanut is a 8-year-old in Canonsburg, PA, who needs $655 for Dental surgery.

Canonsburg, PA

Peanut came to me from an older woman who couldn’t care for him anymore. He had a lot of issues I decided to take him in. He has had three partial bladder blockages luckily he’s been okay for a year now. He now needs a dental procedure he has a sore mouth. He has a few brothers and sisters. He lives in a wonderful loving home. Peanut is very shy but loves everyone including myself. He’s a great cat and has lost weight as well. He was 22 pounds now down to 18. He is on a specific diet. He’s really a sweet boy and just adores his life and brothers and sisters. I just want to get his procedure done because his mouth is really making him miserable. Peanut is special to me just like all my animals are special. He’s had a lot done traumatically in his life. He means the world to me. He was saved three times from PVSEC with his partial blockages. He fought everyday he was at the hospital. He enjoys me and loves being pet and snuggled when possible. This is a dental emergency. His K9 teeth are affecting his ability to eat. He is in constant pain and has been for a month. I’ve luckily been able to boil food and etc… to keep him okay until the April procedure. I’ve got another cat Earl who is a hospice kitty so I have a hard time sometimes when unexpected emergencies happen. His vet is Pleasent Valley Vet in McMurray PA My hours at work were cut. I have other cats one hospice kitty who is diabetic that is also being cared for. I pulled from my 401k to get some kind of money for peanut surgery.

Tator

Tator is a one-month-old Golden Retriever puppy in Grant, MI, who needs $1,500 for urgent surgery.

Grant, MI

This little tot was born out of my litter her mother was tested for lack of folic acid as soon as I found out tator had a cleft palete. She has been a fighter since day 2 we didn't notice day one there was anything wrong it was day 2 that caught our attention everyone else grew and she didnt. Then we noticed she wasn't latching on. It was the next we found the cleft palete. So in the beginning she had to be fed by a very tiny dropper with a very long nipple every 2 hrs she slept in bed with me. During the day I would take her to work and feed her in between. She went every where I went to make sure we never miss a feeding. Then we moved on to bigger food. Which brought us to the specialist vet. She has to have it made a little different then the other pups yet. She is spunky but yet a cuddled she loves all animals she follows you every where comes to her name. She loves to play with little cat toys believe it or not she also loves the toys that rattle.she also loves to play with her mother and her grandmother the most one on one time. And then back to sleepy cuddle time Tator has what they call a Secondary Cleft palete it's where the hard and soft sport down the centerhave a spilt all the way down but no cleft lip. She will have to have surgery to repair this I would love for us to help out her new parent who is getting her. He picked her out from birth still knowing she had a medical issue said I love her. So she is going to the perfect home. This new puppy owner just got a new job. Just moved into a apartment. And now his car has to have somethings repair he plans to put tator first. But I want to make sure this helps him out.

Suki

Suki is a 1.5-year-old American Shorthair Tabby in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $450 for Tx for Possible Poisoning / Urgent Care, Sedation, Blood Sample, X-Ray.

Minneapolis, MN

Suki was found along with two siblings the day after they were born. The mother cat was nowhere to be found so Suki and her siblings were taken to an amimal rescue organization in Madison. Of the three kitties, Suki we the only one to survive. Approximately 2 month later, I was able to adopt her. I adopted her during the first wave of Covid, so we were able to spend alot of time together. Suki is very special to me, and I find her to be a wonderful companion. She is not overly snuggley, but has a sweet personality. Suki does not warm to strangers and has a difficult time visiting the vet, so the cost of her care is increased because she has to be sedated. I hope Suki will get more comfortable with the vet when she gets older! Suki loves to explore my apartment and always finds interesting places to hide. She likes to chase toys and pretend she is in the wild. Every morning Suki will stretch out on the floor in front of me looking for a belly rub. She doesn't like laps, but I will take any moment that she comes a bit closer to me. Suki is being seen at Access Veterinary Care in Minneapolis. She has been vomiting and not eating. I think she may have eaten something poisoness to cats. She is still being assessed but the bill has already reached $450. I hope that this is all of the care that she will need. The next step may be an x-ray. I am a recent graduate of the University of Madison and am currently working in a lab. I have several expenses (rent, etc.) which quickly use up my paycheck. This vet bill is unexpected and will be difficult for me to pay. Thank you in advance if you are able to help!

Iggy

Iggy is a 8-year-old Short hair in El Paso, TX, who needs $1,950 for Removal of gallbladder.

El Paso, TX

About 7-8 years ago my kids and I were informed about a box of kittens abandoned behind a shop here in El Paso. We went to go see them and immediately fell in love with the little black runt of the kindle. He had spunk and made us laugh as he chased a ball around the room. We decided he and his beautiful sister were coming home with us. Iggy has always been quite a talker. If you talk to him, he'll meow right back. It feels like he can carry on a "conversation" at times. I've always loved that about him. When he brushes up against one of us, you know he wants his scratchies. He'll even nudge us if we stop before he's had enough. He just loves the attention. Iggy, or as we usually call him, Booboo, grew to be our biggest and heaviest cat. I'd say he was like our own version of a black panther. We often compared him to Toothless from How to Train You Dragon. He has those big bright eyes and cute little fangs that protrude when his mouth is closed. He'd definitely make a good vampire for Halloween. Last month in January we noticed he was rapidly dropping weight. He became lathargic and jaundice. We took him to his vet, Dr. Snyder and he recommended Iggy be hospitalized. That evening we took him to El Paso Emergency Center where he was diagnosed with a large mass in his gall bladder that could rupture. It's been causing his liver to fail. They have been keeping him stable as he awaits surgery. So far my balance is $3,800. That's not even including the surgery and next few days of hospitalization. They've requested $1,000 for now to continue with treatment. I'm currently unemployed and it breaks my heart to know our baby will be euthanized due to a lack of money.

Winter

Winter is a 10-year-old Domestic shorthair in Camp Hill PA, PA, who needs $1,940 for Chemotherapy.

Camp Hill PA, PA

I have a domestic short-hair named Winter. She is 10 years old and has been with me since she was 4 months old. She found me in the Winter time as a stray and has been with me ever since. Even escaping to be with her cat friends, she always came back, so I made her a forever home with me. She is my first fur friend. Winter likes to sunbathe in front of a window while at the top of her cat condo. She enjoys her ball track and toy mouse (as long as there's catnip). She takes to women mainly, and was comforting to her cat brother Tux, when he was not feeling well (he passed from an undiagnosed heart condition, unfortunately the vet did not hear a murmur and we could not find the issue in time). Winter has given comfort after I lost my mom; she helped me get through health issues; and she helped me get through a masters program. She is playful and loves to be petted, and is very inquiring about what I do at the computer. She likes to sit with me while I work or study at the computer. Winter also provided comfort after I lost another pet from an undiagnosed heart condition. Over the Summer, I noticed a small swelling on her left hock. I took her to the emergency vet hospital (Shores in Harrisburg PA), her vet at Colonial Park and a specialist in Lancaster. She has a growth on her left lung along with the hock growth. It was confirmed after several tests that she has malignant lymphoma. Last treatment payment was approved by Paws 4 a cure for one time treatment. I lost my job in August due to downsizing because of covid. I am on unemployment and food stamps. I cannot afford her current treatments which are at $400 a treatment for chemotherapy. Currently, she is on gabapentin, prednisolone, cyclophosphamide and vincristine.

Buddy

Buddy is a 3-year-old Dachshund mix in Dallas, TX, who needs $1,850 for Medical Treatment.

Dallas, TX

During a winter ice storm this sweet terrified little doggie was waiting on a porch for his previous family who had abandoned him when they were evicted. With the help of dedicated neighbors we were able to catch him and take him in. He was so skinny and it took a while for him to trust us. He is now family. My 2 boys adore him and we can’t imagine our home without our sweet Buddy. Buddy can jump so high and he does make everyone laugh by bouncing up and down like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. He really shows that he loves his new family and we love him. He is the sweetest most loving dog. He has huge baby eyes and the softest ears. He loves attention and will guard our house and family like we are royalty. He’s really helped both my boys with invaluable life lessons. He chases every squirrel, bird and suspected living creature he hears. Buddy naps like a newborn baby, but really most of the time he is very busy and always curious about everything. He was nervous and scared when we first took him in but now runs the roost. He’s very smart. We were just about to start working on getting him better socialized around other dogs so that he can be on walks safely. With no warning, Buddy became unresponsive and collapsed. We are now 3 days in the ER and it seems he was stung or poisoned by something that sent him into anaphylactic shock and his tummy is shredded. The ER is working so hard to get him stable. Today they said he’s really been fighting and has made amazing progress. We were just unprepared for a young animal to have such a serious issue. We consider ourselves fortunate given Covid, but we did lose 1 income, which won’t be replaced since we now care for not just our 2 boys, but also an elderly parent. We thank our lucky stars, but always fighting to get ahead. This large vet bill is incredibly stressful.

Angel

Angel is a 9-year-old Mix in Manchester, NH, who needs $2,000 for an Ear Canal Ablation.

MANCHESTER, NH

I purchased Angel as a gift for my sister Betty, when Angel was only 8 weeks old. At that time, Betty was at Stage 3 Kidney Failure. Angel gave her years of faithful companionship. Betty passed away in June of 2021, due to Renal Failure. Angel faced placement in an Animal Shelter. My heart knew Angel's faithfulness deserved so much more. 3 Ladies under my care offered to "Foster" Angel. Fostering Angel met helping her find a home. Angel was sad & withdrawn. I watched as they nurtured her back to life. She was happy again. Playing with toys, running out side & snuggling to sleep. After weeks, someone asked to take Angel. We all talked. The Ladies asked "Can we Adopt her?"l just got over the loss of my sister.Leaving could break her heart again. Yes was the best answer for! Angel give what she receives from the Ladies. She has added a special quality in the lives of Rolita, Evelyn & Julie -Her "Adoptive Mothers" Together,Life Balances. She loves chasing leaves in the yard! The smell of Coffee in the morning is like her Alarm for Breakfast. Angel sits like a Prarie Dog to get your attention for treats. Angel arrived with an ongoing ear infection. The only reason we know is because of paper work we found in her box. She had received 3-4 treatments of antibiotics since in the ladies care,to no prevail. She requires Surgery to remove an Ear Canal. Angel's file is under - Angel Boston Center for Advanced Veterinary Care. Angel belongs to Rolita, Evelyn and Julie. Their SSI is used for Room & Board & monthly personal needs. What they lack in finances, they make up in Love. Angels can attest to that! They worry about Angel.Angel will be so much "Happier"if this taken care of

Sergeant Tibbs

Sergeant Tibbs is a 1-year-old Tabby in Woburn, MA, who needs $2,000 for perineal urethrostomy.

Woburn, MA

Sarge and I have been together for a little over a year. I got him off Facebook, and he has been the light of my life ever since. He’s been there through me at my worst and now I’m here to do the same for him. Sarge is a year and a half old and has gone through so much in the past week. I’d do anything to help him Sgt. Tibbs has been my best friend since the day I got him. He’s always so lovable, social, and just flat out amazing. He loves going on the roof of the house, and playing with his best puppy friend Monte. Tibbs loves his scratching boards and laying under blankies. He loves getting treaties (chicken is his fav) Tibbs is so easy going and lovable. He turns dog people into cat people with his personality. He will climb up on your lap and cuddle with you without a question. He never hisses, bites, or scratches. He is very much a lover not a fighter in that sense. Everyone that comes over says how cool my cat is In October, Tibbs had an obstruction of his urethra. I was told he could become blocked. Well he did. He has become blocked 3 times in the past 5 days and now needs surgery for a more permanent catheter. Because of the blockages, his kidney levels have been very off, making him susceptible to kidney failure. This was all so sudden. I’ve been trying to cover what I can but it’s not enough. I’ll do anything to save Sarge. Pets aren’t just animals. They are family. Please help me

Boogie

Boogie is a 1-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier in Timberlake, NC, who needs $1,600 for Femoral head osteotomy.

Timberlake, NC

Boogie came to us from a backyard breeder. He had been taken from his mom at only one month old and was being given adult dog food. We felt like we could give him a good life and he would have a chance at being a happy family pet for many years to come. His name was initially Dexter but the nickname Boogie stuck very quickly so we decided to change his name officially to Boogie! Boogie is a super silly puppy. He enjoys playing with his fur-brother Shadow but his favorite hobby is napping! He has a best friend named Squish the pug! He enjoys his feline brothers and sisters and can often be found curled up with one OR chasing one! He loves all the members of our household, human or furry! Boogie is super smart. He has learned several tricks along the way including sit, paw, lay down, and the newest “stretch “. He is afraid of the vacuum and loves to bark anytime mom gets that out! He has built a super close and special bond with his mom and follows her every where she goes. He is very friend and has never met a stranger! Boogie has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Upon having a orthopedic surgery consult at Triangle Referral Vet Hospital. We have decided to move forward with a femoral head osteotomy. This would create a false joint at the hip and relieve any pain associated with the dysplasia. It is also a more cost effective alternative to complete hip replacement. He can live a long happy healthy life! We have a family of five so coming up with $3,600 spur of the moment is no easy feat. I’ve been on disability for 2 years so income is limited as it is for many families.
