Molly is a new Maltipoo puppy to our family. We did extensive research on the Maltipoo breed and all of the breeders in the country. Finding her was a gift from God, the breeder is incredible and Molly comes from a long line of calm therapy grade dogs. She has proven to be the best puppy we have had in our home! Unfortunately our sweet girl was playing with our other dog and her leg broke. We took her to Gulf Coast Veterinary Center Spring Hill and they have been an amazing team to provide the top care for Molly. Since the break is in the elbow growth plate, she requires surgery to pin it back together so she can live a normal life with full movement of her leg. We got her as an emotional support animal for our Mayley. They have bonded so quickly and Molly is always at Mayley’s side! The connection is unmatched between the two of them. Molly has a very special awareness of Mayley’s needs and is always right there to calm her down. Molly has quickly become a very loved and valued baby in our family! It would mean to much to our family to be able to get Molly the surgery that is needed to live out a full life with full use of her arm. This girl is already a huge blessing to our family. We need to do everything we can to get her this surgery.

Mini

Mini is a 1.5 year old Perro de Presa Canario in South Salem, NY, who needs $7,000 for TPLO Surgery Both Rear Legs.

We were in the pet store getting treats for our other 2 rescue dogs. We saw Mini, and could not leave her with the rescue organization. She is the joy of our lives. Mini is a 1.5 year old sweet, mostly mastiff, female dog who can no longer walk without pain. She needs knee surgery on BOTH her rear knees. We’ve tried EVERYTHING to raise the money for the surgery but are falling short. Mini has 2 brothers, both rescues and both are also suffering while watching Mini in pain. Mini keeps us safe from all the animals on TV! She barks furiously when she sees one and looks at us as if to say… don’t you see what I see? Mini is the baby of the family and loves to play with her older brothers - but she can’t now and that is heartbreaking. We recently lost water to our home and had to replace the well and the line to our house. We did not have enough money to cover that expense and have nothing left for this surgery. I have applied for a care card-only approved for 20% of the total cost.

Lottie

Lottie is a 5 year old Old English Bulldog in Greenwood, IN, who needs $2,350 for Heartworm Treatment.

Lottie is a 5 y/o female English Bulldog. She was given away to me because her owner was moving away. When I picked her up I found that Lottie was living in a barn. The owner/breeder kept her from one of her litters. Lottie had one litter of puppies. Then was shifted to the barn. Lottie was never spayed. She had no recent vaccines. She had an abrasion on her left eye and a sore on her foot. When I took her the vet, she was found to have bacteria, yeast infections in her ears, on her mouth and feet. When her blood work came back she had also tested positive for heart worms. The treatment has not been started yet. This is not just due to cost, but also, she has been gaining weight and possibly be pregnant. The abrasion on her eye, which needs surgery, was from a dog trying to breed her Lottie is a charmer. Very obedient. She just wants to be near her people. Lottie is very loving. She is tolerant of other dogs. I would love to be able to provide her the home she deserves. I have 4 other dogs, that require care. That has become very expensive. Pinky has cancer that is returning. She was treated with surgery and radiation. Scout and Freddie require special food due to pancreatitis.

Our rescue mission began when we took in Samson, a dog from Austin, TX, who is 98% blind and in need of real care and a real chance. We stepped up out of compassion, knowing Samson deserved safety, comfort, and hope for a better life. While working full time, we are doing everything possible to provide the support Samson needs. At only seven years old Samson is still a relatively young dog The lenses of Samson’s eyes have become detached and are moving around in the socket, which not only took his vision but could also cause pain and discomfort for the rest of his life if not treated. The surgery will reattach the lense of Samson’s eyes so that his vision can be restored. The surgery will be at Eyecare For Animals in Wheeling, IL by Dr. Neal Wasserman DVM and Caroline Treadwell DVM Samson lives with another chihuahua named Goliath. they get along great with only minor issues when Samson bumps into him or jumps and lands on him. Both sleep in bed with us at night and Samson will velcro himself to one of us so that he knows someone is there. Samson has become a big part of our lives and we would love to help him see again if at all possible to improve his quality of life The condition of Samson when he arrived was a bit alarming he was really underweight and mostly blind. We were told by animal control that he had difficulty sometimes bumping into stuff and come to find he is 98% blind but repairable. I want to give this boy every shot I can

Luke is a 9 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Norfolk, VA, who needs $7,000 for Mandibular Fracture Repair.

Luke has been a part of our family since the very beginning of his life. My family had both of Luke's parents and I'd always say "I'd love to have a brown/tan dog one day" and years later there he was. A precious, mama's boy with the most lovely underbite. He has been in our lives for 9 years and counting. He was born in 2017, when I was still in high school, so he's been a part of EVERYTHING. Luke was attacked by a larger dog leaving him with a broken mandible, which was detected by the vets of VEST, located in VB, Virginia. And they have referred us to go to VVC Short Pump (located in Henrico, VA) to the specialty vets. Because of the severity of the break and his age, this procedure is urgent and costs more than our family can afford. Luke's favorite person would have to be his mama. We have been through it all together. Moving, marriage, me having children, and me going through loss. Luke's been my safe place through it all. Leading me to who his other best friends are, my daughters. He is so fascinated by them and loves all the rubs. He's with us through it all, rather it's a trip to the mailbox or a roadtrip to see family. We are a military family living off one income. My husband is a E-3 airmen who works extremely hard to support us, but between three children, Luke, and ourselves it is impossible to come up with $7,000 for the procedure. We need our community more than ever.

Giselle’s Road to Recovery 🩷

Giselle’s story started outside a Dollar General in Colony Ridge, Texas, where this sweet girl was confused, alone, and wandering through a busy parking lot. At one point, she nearly followed a bicyclist into traffic and later ran across the street, narrowly escaping what we feared could have been a devastating accident. Thankfully, Giselle made it safely under a truck with only a scraped paw. We brought her into our care at Poofer’s Place Rescue, and it didn’t take long to see what a sweetheart she is. We were hopeful she’d be ready for adoption soon. She’s potty trained, wonderful with cats, and has been nothing but loving. But then came the news we weren’t hoping for: Giselle tested positive for heartworm. Before treatment can begin, she’ll need 30 days of doxycycline, followed by injections to eliminate the adult heartworms. She’ll also need to be spayed before she can find her forever home. Her journey will be a little longer than we expected, but Giselle is safe and, most importantly, getting the care she deserves. 🩷 Please help us give this sweet girl the chance to become the healthy, happy companion we know she can be. Giselle is worth it.

Charlie is only about six years old, but he has already endured more suffering than any dog ever should. Before coming into the care of D&A Animal Rescue, Charlie was kept chained and left severely malnourished—little more than skin and bones. But the cruelty didn't stop there. His former owner began chaining Charlie to his car to supposedly protect his belongings. Then, one day, something horrific happened: Charlie was dragged behind the vehicle for several blocks. That was two years ago. D&A Animal Rescue immediately stepped in, determined to give Charlie the care and compassion he had been denied for so long. His rescue team spent more than $7,000 on his medical care at the time, fighting to save him and give him a chance at a better life. Today, Charlie is still in their care—and he is now paralyzed. His paralysis has brought new challenges. Because Charlie cannot move normally, he has developed painful wounds and blisters that require constant attention, treatment, and careful monitoring. His caregivers work tirelessly to keep him clean, comfortable, and protected from further injury. Charlie has already survived unimaginable cruelty. He should never have had to fight this hard just to be safe. But despite everything that happened to him, D&A Animal Rescue never gave up on Charlie—and they won't give up now. His ongoing care is expensive, and the costs of medications, wound care, veterinary treatment, and supplies continue to add up. At 11 years old, Wee Wee has already entered her golden years, and after being surrendered by her family, she found herself needing a new place to call home. Despite being blind, Wee Wee doesn't let the world around her slow her down. She is an incredibly sweet, gentle little girl who is quiet, loving, and happiest when she can simply be close to someone she trusts. All she wants is to feel safe and loved. When Wee Wee came into the care of D&A Animal Rescue, they took her to the veterinarian to find out exactly what she needed to keep her comfortable and healthy. Because of her eye condition, she was referred to another veterinarian for a more detailed ophthalmic examination. The results were difficult, but they also gave her rescue team a clear path forward: Wee Wee will need Latanoprost eye drops for the rest of her life. For a senior dog who has already lost her vision, keeping her eyes comfortable and managing her condition is incredibly important. Thankfully, her blindness hasn't taken away her ability to love. Wee Wee is still the same affectionate little girl who just wants to curl up beside someone and know she's safe. Now, D&A Animal Rescue is committed to making sure Wee Wee receives the lifelong medication she needs. Help Jedidiah Learn That the World Is a Safe Place

At just 8 weeks old, Jedidiah was thrown from a moving vehicle like he was nothing more than garbage. The terrifying incident left this tiny puppy with severe road rash, a broken clavicle, and a broken leg at the elbow. But his physical injuries were only the beginning of the challenges Jed would face. For the next six weeks, Jed was on strict crate rest and unable to put weight on his injured leg. Instead of spending those important early weeks exploring his world, meeting new people, and learning how to be a puppy, Jed was confined to his crate while his body healed. By the time he was ready to experience the world again, he was afraid of almost everything. People scared him. Leaves scared him. Doors scared him. And going outside? That was especially frightening. Jed had survived a traumatic start to life, but he still needed to learn something just as important as healing from his physical injuries: that he was safe. That's where behavioral rehabilitation came in. Maybel's Legacy has invested $3,000 in behavioral modification training to help Jed build confidence, overcome his fears, and learn the skills he missed during those critical early weeks. He is currently halfway through his training, and he is making amazing progress. Jed is learning how to be a dog. He's learning that new experiences don't have to be scary, that people can be trusted, and that the world around him can be a place to explore rather than fear. His physical rehabilitation may not have come with a veterinary bill, but helping Jed recover emotionally has required a significant investment of time, training, and resources. Donations to his campaign will help support the behavioral care that is giving this sweet puppy the opportunity to overcome his past and build a confident future. At only 6 months old, Jed has so much life ahead of him. He survived being thrown away. Now, with the right support, he is learning that he is worth protecting, worth loving, and safe in this world.
