A Fractured Leg Won’t Stop Harry From Finding His Future

Harry was just a street puppy, living alongside his littermates and trying to navigate life on the streets. Then a Good Samaritan noticed something was wrong. Harry was limping badly and struggling to keep up. The Stray Animal Foundation of India stepped in to help. Veterinary examination, diagnostics, and X-rays revealed a fracture, likely caused by a dog bite. But Harry’s injuries weren’t his only battle. He was also found to be anemic and suffering from an upper respiratory infection. Thankfully, Harry is now receiving the treatment he desperately needs. He’s being cared for while his fracture heals and his body works to recover from the infection and anemia. But getting Harry through this recovery will take continued veterinary care, medication, and monitoring. All of those costs add up quickly for a rescue already caring for so many animals in need. When Vida was found, she was barely hanging on. She was severely emaciated, covered in ticks, dangerously anemic, and suffering from unimaginable injuries. Half of her ear and part of her neck were missing, and maggots have infested multiple wounds throughout her body. No animal should ever have to endure this kind of pain and neglect. Thanks to Compassion Kind, Vida is receiving emergency veterinary care, where doctors are working to treat her wounds, stabilize her condition, and give her the chance to heal. The road ahead will be long, and her medical care will be extensive, but this rescue refuses to give up on her. Vida deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and free from pain. 10 years ago, Emmy was rehomed and became part of my family. From the moment her cage door opened & she ran up to me, we formed an unbreakable bond. She has been by my side through my hardest moments, offering unconditional love, comfort, and companionship. Emmy isn't only my dog- she is family, my best friend, and almost my entire heart. She has never given up on me or herself. Emmy is a fighter. She was seen at VCA Animal Hospital for a limp and leg pain but referred to MedVet for a Cardiology evaluation after a heart murmur was detected before proceeding with X-rays. There's a chance it's a CCL tear and arthritis. She cannot walk properly. Emmy was only seen before for having enlarged lymph nodes, once under her neck, and they resolved completely 2 years ago. She's otherwise been healthy For over a decade, Emmy has been the heart of my family. She adores our children, loves making friends, and greets us like we've been gone for years, even after 10 minutes. She's gentle, affectionate, endlessly loving, and fiercely protective of her family--even getting upset when she thinks we're hurting. From cuddling under blankets to making us laugh every day, Emmy is far more than a pet to me Financial help would mean giving Emmy more time to live the happy life she loves, and I want to be there for her now too. While I recover in a wheelchair from my own leg injury, I dream of the day we will watch each other heal and can walk and run side by side again.

Finny has been a part of our Family since she was 9 weeks old. She is a great big sister to our human children and two other pups. She loves long walks and spending time in the backyard. In April 2024 Finny has experienced her 1st seisure...the episodes have been rare at first, but unfortunately progressed to be more consistent and regular. Since January 2026, after a very scary cluster episode she has been administered Phenobarbital. Unfortunately the seisures continued, and it was necessary to add Keppra in July 2026. We have been under the care of NSALA pet health center. Finny is like an old soul, she understands emotions of humans better than any dog I have encountered. She will follow you everywhere and wants to be near everyone all the time. We are a family of 5 humans and 3 dogs. With pressing testing, medication fees and constant monitoring of Finnys conditions its been very challenging to be able to pay for her medical expenses...Every little bit helps us help her...

Hi, this is Royal and he is 1 years old with a big big head. His mom had a very difficult pregnancy and had to have surgery - at the time during surgery they announced that all babies were passed then after the surgery that they were shocked and found 3 puppies still alive! Til this day there all big healthy babies. He lives here with his brother goku, mom, nala, ace & our cat Oreo. Loving home🫶 Just a few days ago, he had gotten onto the counter and got ahold of some candy, starburst and I believe he ate the whole wrapper and he’s been very sick, not eating and struggling to go to the bathroom. I go to pomeroys animal hospital and if I need more of an surgery then mission animal hospital. His best friend is his brother Goku they’re inseparable!! He visits his sister diva time to time and loves it. He’s a mamas boy but he loves loves everyone always wants too talk to everyone inside and out on walks, everywhere!! He’s such a big lover has a big personality. I had lost my job and I’m struggling to find another one, I do everything I can for my babies and I hate seeing him like this, I want him better, I can’t afford anything but he sees I’m trying so hard to get him better.

Jake has been part of my family for years and lives with me and his brother, Finnley. The two of them are deeply bonded and are a huge part of my everyday life. Jake is normally loving, expressive, and full of personality, so seeing him suddenly become sick and uncomfortable has been frightening. Jake has suddenly become very unwell. He is barely eating, walking stiffly, and has developed a painful lump near his shoulder that caused him to cry when touched. He has also had unusual scabbing that was not healing normally. He urgently needs veterinary testing and treatment to determine what is wrong. Jake is the post polite and personable dog I have ever met. We connected for the first time when he was a puppy and I pointed at his favorite toy and called it ducky. He looked down my arm to see what I was pointing at and realized I was talking about his toy. He lit up and bounced over to pick it up and bring it to me and his favorite game is now fetch. He is very communicative, outgoing, sweet Jake has suddenly become very unwell. He is barely eating, walking stiffly, and has developed a painful lump near his shoulder that caused him to cry when touched. He has also had unusual scabbing that was not healing normally. Before anyone really knew her, Arthi was wandering the streets alone, weak, exhausted, and clearly in need of help. The gentle Labrador Mastiff mix was found with large patches of missing fur, appearing lethargic and confused. Concerned rescuers brought her in for a veterinary evaluation, where testing revealed she was facing much more than skin issues. Arthi has severe hypothyroidism, anemia, alopecia, and a small tumor-like growth on her upper lip that requires close monitoring and treatment. Thankfully, Arthi is now safe, and her treatment has already begun. She is receiving the medical care she needs and finally has a quiet place to rest as her body starts the long process of healing. But recovery won’t happen overnight. Managing her thyroid disease, treating her anemia, addressing her skin condition, and monitoring the growth on her lip will all require continued veterinary care. After surviving on the streets while feeling so sick, Arthi deserves the chance to regain her strength and experience the comfort she’s been missing for far too long. A Split-Second Accident Put Draco's Life in Danger—Now He Needs Your Help

WHITESTONE, NY • NYC Second Chance Rescue

Draco has already beaten the odds once. Now, he's fighting through another life-threatening emergency. Nearly a year ago, NYC Second Chance Animal Rescue saved Draco from the New York City Animal Care Centers (ACC) after he developed a serious upper respiratory infection. The municipal shelter didn't have the resources to provide the medical care he desperately needed, so the rescue stepped in, giving him the chance to heal and start over. Draco recovered beautifully and settled into a loving foster home, where he has been safe, happy, and deeply loved ever since. Then, in a split second, everything changed. After accidentally swallowing a piece of a rubber yoga mat, Draco's foster family rushed him to the emergency hospital as soon as they realized what had happened. Veterinarians explained that the rubber material could absorb stomach fluids, expand, and create a life-threatening intestinal blockage if it wasn't removed immediately. The veterinary team first attempted to retrieve the object using a minimally invasive procedure, hoping to spare Draco from major surgery. Unfortunately, the procedure was unsuccessful, leaving the team with no choice but to perform emergency abdominal surgery to remove the foreign object and save his life. Draco is now recovering, but this unexpected emergency has created overwhelming veterinary expenses. NYC Second Chance Animal Rescue never hesitated to approve the lifesaving care Draco needed. They made the decision every rescue hopes they can make—that cost would never stand in the way of saving one of their animals. Now they need your help. Emergency diagnostics, anesthesia, specialized procedures, abdominal surgery, hospitalization, pain management, and follow-up care come at a significant cost, placing an unexpected financial burden on the rescue. Charlie is a 5yr old Maltipoo who was a loving addition to our family when he was 8 weeks old. So he has been with us for 5 yrs. He is very loving and a happy little guy. He was a great companion to my husband who passed away 2 yrs ago. Charlie had a fall recently and broke his right front paw. He had splinting of that leg for few weeks but the fractures didn’t heal. So the orthopedic surgeon recommended fracture repair surgery. He was seeing Dr De la Vega at Revive Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital, Prosper TX. Charlie is very special to our family. He brings joy to us. His presence and love has been a therapy for us when we were going through grief and difficult and painful situation when we lost my husband and father of my children 2 yrs ago. He loves to run around and play with us but his leg injury has made it hard for him to get around much. I lost my husband 2 yrs ago. As a single mom of 2 children both starting college this month and with the income from my only job I can’t afford the surgery & vet medical costs. It’s heartbreaking for us to see Charlie suffer by not being able to get the treatment he needs.
