Toby is a 12-year-old Maltese cross who came to us as a senior. He'd spent his whole life with an elderly couple who loved him but could no longer care for him. Rather than let him go to a shelter, we welcomed him into our home in Prince George, BC. He now lives in a quiet, loving household with our small family and spends his days close by our side. Toby was diagnosed with Grade 2–3 dental disease at College Heights Veterinary Hospital in Prince George by Dr. Saporito. Several teeth are painful and need treatment under general anesthesia — a full dental with bloodwork, x-rays, cleaning, and extractions. Left untreated, it causes ongoing pain and risks infection spreading to his organs, so the procedure is medically necessary. Toby is the gentle heart of our home. He's small, sweet, and endlessly patient — he follows us from room to room, curls up beside us in the evenings, and greets our daughter every day like she's his whole world. After a lifetime of being someone's faithful companion, he's shown our family nothing but calm, loyal love. He asks for so little and gives back so much. A recent car accident left our family stretched thin, and Toby's dental is more than we can manage on our own. Any help means he can have his procedure sooner and spend his senior years free of pain. Seeing him healthy and comfortable again would mean everything to us.

Rocko is a hurricane puppy. I found him through a rescue last March and my heart had melted.. he’s the sweetest and cutest thing I have ever met. When I had brought him home my whole world changed. It honestly felt like having a baby all over again. When rescuing him we had found out he had heart worm. Thankfully, he was able to be treated. Now, a year later, he fell ill due to blatter stones. I took him to the Animal Emergency Clinic in Rockford and now I’m afraid I can’t save my baby due to the costs 😢 Rocko has been amazing since he walked through the door. His facial expressions are enough to light up the room. He is his own little character. Talking to him almost feels like talking to an actual person. Rocko is really mine and my kids best friend. He loves everybody and everything. He even does this little thing where if you ask him a question he’ll grunt or snort to give a yes or no. Unexpectedly, I’ve encountered a sudden major expense due to my dogs blatter stones. I’m currently on a fixed income and don’t have emergency fund to cover this unforeseen veterinary bills. Having my dog healthy again would mean the world to me; they’re not just a pet.

I met Lucy when she belonged to a friend of mine and she was 1 years old at the time in 2014. She immediately got excited and wanted to be close to me and give me kisses. I believe she bonded with me at that moment because even when she didn't see me for a long time she would do the exact same thing every time she did. I told my friends if she ever needed another home I would gladly take her. Yesterday on July 30th Lucy was laying on the floor and wouldn't get up. I tried treats and showed her leash to her and neither worked. I had to lift her to her feet to get her to go potty. She stumbled a couple of times and walked really slowly. The Emergency Vet said she has a mass on her spleen that is letting too much blood in her system and it makes her sick. It has to be removed soon. She is there most loving dog I've ever met. She never growls or barks at anyone. My new born niece was here earlier this week and Lucy was interested in her and sniffed her and that was it. She came into my life as a re home and had been with me since 2020. She is my emotional support dog and I call her my Everything. When I'm depressed she's they're. When I'm upset she's there. I love her so much We just moved to Washington state from Atlanta GA after I had a divorce. We drove 6 days across the country to live with family. I am staying with my niece and staying over. I can't afford her surgery right now. She is my reason to keep going. She deserves the best life.

Bruno was adopted at the human society in Hawaii. We adopted Rosco first and then went back with Rosco to let him choose his friend and he picked Bruno. They have been inseparable since Bruno is doing fine till the month of May where he got diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and we thought great. It’s easy to manage and then two weeks later he was not eating wasn’t doing well and we found out that he wasn’t diabetic ketoacidosis so he spent four days at the emergency room fighting for his life and now we are managing it, but it is not recovered 100% yet Bruno is a special little boy because he is always looking to make sure that everyone is OK he comes and he licks your hand the minute we walk in the door he can sense if we’re sad or not and he’ll just like follow us around lick our leg and make sure that we give him attention and then when we pick him up, he’ll kiss us and just be so sweet he’s just such a good little boy. It will mean the world if we can get help to cover this bill because we do not believe in euthanasia and that’s what the hospital offered even though diabetic dogs are treatable and it will mean the world if you guys can help us because the bill is insane

Hope in the Desert: Give Egypt's Forgotten Dogs a Second Chance

Before sunrise, a small team ventured into a remote desert region of Egypt where survival is a daily struggle. With little access to food, clean water, or veterinary care, countless stray dogs are left to fend for themselves. For many, hunger, illness, and untreated injuries are simply a way of life. These five dogs were among the lucky few. Thanks to the dedication of Paws & Claws Animal Welfare Inc., they were safely trapped and brought to a veterinarian, where they received care that most stray animals in Egypt will never experience. Four of the dogs were spayed, one was neutered, three desperately needed dental procedures to relieve painful oral disease, and every dog received a rabies vaccination and deworming treatment to protect both their health and the communities around them. For these dogs, this wasn't just a trip to the vet—it was the first time anyone had ever shown them compassion. Animal welfare resources in Egypt are extremely limited, and stray animals often face neglect, starvation, and little to no access to medical care. Even providing basic veterinary treatment can be an enormous undertaking, requiring dedicated rescuers willing to travel long distances and stretch every available dollar to help animals that so often go unseen. Now comes the next challenge. The rescue is carefully evaluating these dogs to see if any are friendly enough to safely enter their adoption program. If space allows, they hope to bring at least a couple of them into rescue, giving them the opportunity to experience something they've likely never known: regular meals, safety, love, and a family of their own. Eight hours later, on the drive home, they were still there—waiting, scared, and alone. Somewhere along the way, Ellie suffered a serious injury, and they believe she may have been hurt when she was thrown from the car. Now, this sweet girl is facing a major surgery that will cost between $2,000 and $3,000. Her mom helped deliver Cookie when she was born, and from that day forward, the tiny Chihuahua became more than a pet—she became family, a constant source of love through life's highest highs and lowest lows. Recently, that bond was put to the test. What started as a small lump on Cookie's abdomen quickly grew larger, leading veterinarians to diagnose mammary masses. Her family knew she needed surgery, but when Cookie was finally in the operating room, the veterinary team discovered the tumor was much larger than expected. The procedure became more extensive than anyone had anticipated, requiring a much larger incision and significantly increasing the cost of her care. Thankfully, Cookie made it through surgery and is now on the road to recovery. Her devoted mom is incredibly grateful to everyone who has already helped make this lifesaving procedure possible, but she's still left with a remaining veterinary balance of $482 that she cannot cover on her own. Clyde is a goldendoodle. He is five years old and is a precious family member. He has been with Cody since he was a baby. He loves to take rides in the car and go for walks. Since the time he was born, he has had the sweetest demeanor. He and Cody go everywhere together. Clyde is truly like a son to Cody. From chilling at the house or going on a drive, the two of them are always together. Clyde had two emergency pleural effusions. The fluid keeps up and pushing his lungs and heart to the side. He has a CT scan tomorrow. The ultrasound and bloodwork have shown no reason for the emergency issue. He has been going to Mission Emergncy Vet Clinic. Clyde is very sweet and loving. He is truly a family member and like a son to Cody. He is very calm and happy go lucky. He loves to hugs and loves to give them back. Clyde's medical bills have grown to 10K and we have run out of funds to pay for the vet costs while they run tests and do the effusions to keep him alive while the doctors find a resolution.

As a veteran household, both my partner and I served our country, and Se7en immediately became an essential pillar of support. Over the years, he has lived with us alongside his Boerbel sister, Angel, who adores her "bubby." They are completely inseparable household companions. Se7en is facing a life-threatening emergency at Animal Emergency Hospital & Urgent Care in Raleigh, NC. He has a severe intestinal foreign body blockage requiring immediate emergency surgery (gastrotomy/enterotomy) to save his life. The estimate is $9,002.61, and the clinic requires an upfront deposit before proceeding. We attached his emergency X-rays to show his exact condi Se7en is the anchor of our home.
