It was 2 years since my old cat passed away and I was ready to get a new cat. I looked on Craigs List for free kittens and located a family that had kittens from their cat. I originally wanted to get a female kitten so when the family came by with their van they showed me 3 kittens, 1 male and 2 females. One female kitten ran away and hid. The male cat ran to me and the rest is history. I really don't know... My cat is eating but is losing lots weight. He still has a lot of energy. Sometimes he drinks a ton of water but then he also drinks normally. He can still jump from the floor to my lap when I sit on my chair. He acts normal but I know he is not well. The cat hospital is Nob Hill Cat Hospital. I have had Honey for 7 years. Since the moment we met we have had a loving relationship. As you can see in my video and pictures. I live alone in a studio apartment and he is my roommate that does not pay rent. He only was with another cat was when I had a heart procedure done and he was with the other cat for 3 days, that was the last time he was with another cat. I'm a 69 year old with a fixed income living in San Francisco. Half my income goes to rent, so living monthly is a challenge. My best friend and companion has been a joy in my life since day one and losing him would be a terrible thing for my life.

Gracie was adopted from the animal shelter in 2021. I actually went to the shelter to look at a cat for my mom. My mom didn't end up adopting one, but I found the perfect little girl. She is currently living with one other cat. He's our big boy named Duke. He is 12 years old. In January, two months ago, we noticed Gracie was breathing differently than normal. We took her to a nearby vet. They told us she had fluid in her chest and that we should think about putting her down. For me that wasn't an option. We decided to transfer her to Marqueen Pet Emergency & Specialty where after much testing she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Chylothorax. We have always said Gracie only likes us because she runs when others visit. She's a skittish kitty who doesn't respond well to any kind of change. She adores both of my boys, and especially loves to sleep with my oldest son. She's sweet, shy, funny, and really smart. She loves to play (when she's breathing okay). Her favorite toys are string and these small nerf balls that my boys have. We were unprepared financially for Chylothorax. Gracie has needed eight chest taps so far, and we have spent over $10k on credit cards and she still needs a $15k surgery. My husband and I are both teachers with two boys in college living at home. Gracie is our family.

I've fostered Toasty since he was a tiny kitten with his bonded brother- Hazy. They began as Chubby (Toasty) and Nubby (Hazy) - they both don't have tails— leading me to believe that they are Manx cats. From day one, he's been playful, affectionate, and full of personality. They've grown up side by side, and their bond is unbreakable. Lately, Hazy is confused and calling out for his brother😞 Toasty is facing serious health challenges and is currently in the ICU. He's receiving blood transfusions, steroids, and monitoring for an immune condition. These treatments are critical to stabilize him and give him a real chance at a happy, healthy life. The medical team at Veterinary Referral Associates is providing thorough and thoughtful care while they determine a definitive diagnosis. is a friendly, social, and loving boy. Toasty greets me at the door everyday when I get home and follows me around until it's time to cuddle. Toasty is the dominant brother (about 2lbs heavier) and caretaker/groomer of Hazy. He loves laying in his perched hammocks, bird and squirrel watching, and cuddles with his mom and brother. He also loves a good box and wrestling with Hazy. Toasty’s medical care is costly, and I can't cover it alone. Every donation helps pay for ICU care, medications, and life-saving treatments. I adopted Max from a Petco in 2018 when he was just about six months old. He's a goofy boy and loves his cat brother. He was specifically adopted because he needed to be in a home with at least one other cat due to his likely coming from a hoarding situation. He's the epitome of no thoughts only vibes. Max has severe dental disease and needs most of his teeth removed. He can't chew and is in a lot of pain even with pain meds and preliminary dental work. He's currently receiving care at Pacific Grove Animal Hospital. He's just a cat, but he's special to my husband and I. Anyone who has an animal they love knows the joy they bring just be existing. He always has wide eyes and a head tilt, the cutest kitten meow even at 8 years old. He plays fetch and loves to be held! We had unexpected income loss due to a disability that's put us in financial strain. With cost of living increasing and other expenses, the $5,000 they are requesting is just too steep. We already paid half the cost but without the rest he won't be out of pain or able to eat

Hello! I bought Tea when I was 22 years old. I’ve had him for 8 beautiful years and he’s supported me through my own cancer diagnosis 2 years ago. He is the SWEETEST bunny ever. Unfortunately, Tea has also been diagnosed with a skin cancer. He is on medication to hold off infection, but he will only have 3-6 months if he’s lucky without treatment. His surgery is 2,000. Anything helps! Two cancer patients trying to stay together a bit longer. Diagnosed at: Mount laurel animal hospital. Approximately 3 days ago. The vets fell in love with him! Very sweet and loving. Runs up to you for treats. Not aggressive. Kisses. Clean. Fluffy! My daughter and him are best friends as well. Anything helps 🙏🏽 I am in college right now, work PT. currently being treated for a rare cancer in my throat that stemmed from thyroid. Not only that, I have had to go into one surgery and about to jump into another for something else myself. Having Tea around has made some days more easy.

We got Charli from my cousin (because she was allergic) and she has been with us for the past few years. She lives with me, my mom, my sister, and our other cat, Wall-E. We started to notice that she wasn’t really walking and it was getting worse, and it turned out to be a neurological problem (syringomyelia, there is cerebral fluid in her spinal cord, causing it to swell and she has little function in her front paws). We’ve taken her to four different vets in the past 2 months, and she is on various medicines, but we don’t have the money to help her medically, Charli is a very special cat and she means everything to me. She’s the sweetest ever, and is always purring whenever I’m hugging her. She’s loves being pet and sleeping with me and always starts licking my fingers. She’s a sweetheart to everybody and always makes me feel better, as well as my mom. She loves to cuddle, treats, and is so lovable. My mom is a single mom and can’t afford her vet bills anymore. She’s trying her best, but if we don’t have enough money to help her, then she’s going to have to get rid of her, and I can’t lose her.

My dog is named Chompy after the Brown’s mascot’s dogs name and I felt like he kinda looked like a choppy when we named him, my toddler also had a huge part in his name. We have choppy since he was six weeks old, he is now six years old, he has been the most protective, loving and caring dog since week 6! Chompy is also very active, he loves to run, and fetch. He would run all day if I let him! So I noticed Chompy was limping heavily on one leg. I eventually took him to Groveport animal clinic in Columbus, Ohio, where they did an x-ray and determined that he had an ACL tear. They highly recommended surgery because he is almost 100 pounds but however, I’m not able to financially support that. They have him on two different pain medication’s for now. Champy is so sweet. He is the most protective dog, especially with my kids! It’s so funny. We always say he’s like a human dog because he gives hugs. He will put his arm around your neck. It is quite funny. He can also recognize when the kids or I am upset anytime my kids are crying. He goes over and lick their tears. It is the sweetest thing. He is one special dog. Unfortunately, even with CareCredit, I am not able to make those payments. I feel so bad because even with pain medicine he just looks at me. He’s so miserable. I know he’s in a lot of pain and it would truly means so much just to have donations for him to get his surgery..

We adopted Onyx at Pet Smart 9 years ago. He is a pot cake breed, he came from the Bahamas. He has brought such love and life to our family! He makes coming home from work everyday a blessing! He is always so happy to see us. He has been a wonderful addition to our family and furr babies. he got really sick on Saturday and has not eaten and been throwing up everyday, we took him to vet on Wednesday and got what we could afford to try to make him feel better. Today we took him to Access vet care, they took x-rays and found out he has a foreign object in his intestines', He needs surgery to have this removed by tomorrow 1/10 or he will not survive. Onyx loves to be with his mom and dad. He has a new baby sister Shih-Tzu who adores him more then anything. she loves to play with him and would be lost without him as well as us! our lives will not be the same without our baby boy. we are facing an unexpected emergency expense to save our baby boy. He has a lot of life left in him and any donation would help save his life. Prayers are welcome.

Rocko was a foster and 7 years old His owner left him at the groomers and said she didn’t want him anymore. Owner instructed groomer to take to animal shelter. Groomer had been grooming him since he was a baby and told her she would find him a home. I offered to foster him and fell in love with him. He has an older sister Roxy who is a 18 year old peekapoo. We found a lump on his neck a few days before Christmas and took him to vet. He needs surgery to remove lump off his thyroid. Hopes it will be benign and not require chemotherapy. In just two years he has become a member of our family. We love him so much and can’t imagine a life without him. I believe in his previous life he was caged 24/7. At our home there is no cages snd he has blossomed. We love him so much. I’m a 67 year old widow and my pets are now my family. I live on social security and the cost of surgery is over 4,000. He means the world to me and his sister.
