Beauty

Beauty is a 14-year-old Norwegian Forest Cat in Frederick, MD, who needs $2,000 for PU surgery.

Frederick, MD

Beauty was an unclaimed stray that came from the DC Metro area and was adopted there. He has lived with his human dad for over ten years. He has a few cat friends that live with him. His mom and dad do TNR and foster/adoption of cats. He is indoor only and loves his wet food and getting brushed. He lives close to veterinary care luckily but finances are a hindrance with rescue and his special diet Beauty is a gentle giant. He loves his human family and is very patient and calm. He grooms the other cats and they like to lay on him and you’ll hear him talking to them. Beauty reminds you of a wild cat you’d see frolicking through the snowy forest. In fact he loves the snow and used to play in it but he’s now an old man and would rather lie on his couch. Beauty is a special boy because he seems very wise. He will lead you to what he wants and talk to you. When he was younger he used to go out in the yard to play supervised but he would often bring presents home to his family so because he’s such a good hunter, Beauty doesn’t go outside now but he will give up his food dish for any other cat so they can eat even if he’s hungry. Beauty had his first urinary blockage in 2014. He was treated successfully and placed on a special diet. In 2017, Beauty was found again, lethargic one morning. He was rushed to the vet and he yet again had urinary crystals. He started on a supplement and more litter boxes added. Beauty did well until yesterday he was taken to the emergency vet and his family told he would need surgery. Beauty’s parents are on a fixed income and the emergency vet bill was already 1k to stabilize him for transfer to the vet that’s seen him the previous times. His family does TNR. Beauty is special and deserves to live a long life after being abandoned.

Diva

Diva is a 11-year-old DSH in Lincoln Park, MI, who needs $1,502 for Dental Surgery.

Lincoln Park, MI

Diva came into my life in 2010 as a rescue. One of my neighbors at the time's cat had kittens and he was very abusive to them. My son rescued one and I rescued another. I had another cat at the time, and Saya just loved Diva, right from the start. They followed each other around, and followed me around. After Saya passed away, Diva became more attached to me and I to her. Over the years, Diva has literally become my emotional support animal. We live alone, and it's probably a good thing - Diva is very spoiled. She follows me around, she talks to me (and screams at me, if I've been gone, as soon as I walk through the door). She lived the laser pointer and the kitty fishing pole. She gets excited when she sees the chewy box, too (lol - she knows them). Diva is my emotional support. She has gotten me through some episodes of very severe depression. We have conversations. She LOVES her tummy rubs, both on the couch and when we're going to sleep. She comes up to me and just flops over... it's so cute. She yells at me when I've been gone, and has a very specific yell to let me know it's past nummy time. I noticed her doing some bizarre things after she ate (I tried to post a video, but it wouldn't let me), indicating she needed a trip to the vet. As soon as Dr. Dizik at Downriver Veterinary Associates could get a look at her teeth, it was apparent she needed dental surgery. She has nerves exposed, as well as severe tartar buildup. I am on a fixed income and have very little left after I pay my bills. This is an expensive surgery, but necessary for my baby to get healthy again and not have this pain when she eats. I hurt watching her after she eats.

Dobby Shirley

Dobby Shirley is a 4-year-old Mixed breed in Concord, NC, who needs $1,400 for TPLO surgery.

Concord, NC

I found dobby on Facebook back in 2018. Somebody was giving away free puppies and I did not want him going into the wrong hands. We are living with my parents still and he honestly has the best life a dog could ask for. He loves his sister and LOVES his mama. He recently had TPLO surgery in his right leg and now has to have his other leg done. Poor guy has been through it! Dobby is a lazy, but also the sweetest dog you will ever meet. Everyone loves to spend time with him. He’s so good with my nephew and they love to cuddle. He is the calmest dog I have ever had and even comforts people when they are sick or hurt. He has the most amazing heart and such a beautiful soul. Dobby is one of a kind. He loves everyone he comes into contact with. He’s never been aggressive a day in his life. He will give you the biggest puppy eyes in the world. He loves so cuddle with his mama and sister all the time. He has such a special heart. He captures everyone’s attention and most people want to leave with him and keep him as their own pet. Dobby had TPLO surgery less than a year ago on his right leg. The curvature in both his legs were pretty bad. Since his recovery, he has torn his left leg. He had his first surgery at Carolina vet specialist in huntersville. Now he’s getting his next surgery at Fosters animal hospital in concord, NC. The surgeon only comes into town once a month to perform the surgeries. I just want my son healthy and pain free again. He is so young to be going through this. I am still paying off the last surgery, but I’m struggling to make ends meet with this upcoming surgery. I made a gofundme page but no donations have been made.

Little Bear

Little Bear is an 11-year-old Pomchi in Maple Rapids, MI, who needs $1,500 for amputation of the right leg.

Maple Rapids, MI

Little Bear has been with us for his entire life. He was born June 10, 2010. He was on of 7 and all his sibling went to their forever homes but no one seemed interested in him so he stayed. He is the best. He has been an emotional support for my son who just loves him. We have a step down into our kitchen and it is getting hard for him to walk He sleeps with my son and loves to sleep in his crate as last ng as the door is open lol. He loves to play with his ball and loves the rope. He is a Barker for sure. He loves other dogs at least ones his size, and he don't care one way or another about cats we have one and he don't care. He likes other people and loves getting scratched under his neck. His favorite hobby is to run full speed out into the yard to just look at the woods and bark at absolutely nothing but it's his favorite thing and playing with his ball. He likes to play in water but not keen on baths. When we play rope with him he jumps up to get it and will hang from it it's the funniest thing. I am looking for help with a full amputation of his front right leg. He has a tumor that will kill him if not taken care of soon. His vet at Sheridan animal Hospital are the best and they recommend the full amputation. He has dental issues also but right now we need to get this leg off so we can have more time with him. My husband and I only receive SSI and are on an extremely tight income and need help PLEASE He is our "boy dog" that's his nickname. We need our Boy dog please don't make us have to put him down before his time!

Photo of Sam

Sam

Sam is an 11-year-old Maine Coon Mix in Worcester, MA, who needs $671 for Abdomen Ultrasound.

Worcester, MA

We found Sam living in our backyard when he was a kitten. His mother was pregnant with another litter and had pushed him away. Although his mother was friendly with people, Sam was skittish and fearful. We would sit in the yard and talk to him and hand feed him tuna fish to gain his trust. After we brought him inside, he was happy to be safe and loved and quickly became part of the family. Sam can be very chatty and will talk back if we talk to him. His favorite toys as a kitten were small foam balls. He would carry his balls around, bounce them, and bat them around the house. Sam's favorite toy now is his stuffed bunny that he hunts and then presents to us. Sam is a sweetheart who loves to lay with his mom or get petted by his dad. He wrestles with his brother Roo too. Sam is a smart cat! He has figured out how to open kitchen drawers, probably looking for his toys! He can also sit and shake for his treats. Sam is very affectionate and gives lots of head butts. When Sam was a kitten he would suck and drool on his mom's shirt. He now has one of his dad's old shirt as a lovey that he still drools on when he is feeling snuggly. His cat mom was a drooler too! Sam has always been a big cat, weighing 13-14 pounds. He recently lost a bit of weight quickly and we are trying to find out why. Our vets at VCA Abbot did routine lab work but need to do an ultrasound to find out what is causing the weight loss. He also has resorptive lesions on some of his teeth that may need treatment in the future. Sam's dad is currently out of work due to mental health issues. This has severely limited the family's income, making it hard to afford all of the veterinary care that Sam needs. We are heartbroken at the thought of not being able to provide the care he needs.

Ginger

Ginger is a 7-year-old Pit Bull in Sugar Grove, OH, who needs $2,000 for testing and diagnostics.

Sugar Grove, OH

Ginger's mama (Honey) was dumped right after she gave birth, and most of her puppies were sold off. I helped Ginger come into this world, and I have been responsible for her since her first breath of life. She was born in February of 2014, and after her mama was threatened to be put down, I took them both, and moved far away from all of the people that wanted to use them, or cause them harm. Ginger is a companion animal to my boyfriend, and has been since she was very young. She is fully bonded with both of us. as well as her mama. She stays by one of us at all times, and has anxiety when we are not close to her. She knows as soon as your mood changes, she knows if you are hurt or hurting, she reacts to it, and does all she can to make it better. Ginger feels your feelings, she lets you know when she wants to make it better. She does it in such a way where everything is just okay in that moment, and all you can focus on is her. She gives the best puppy hugs, and always means it when she gives you her kisses. As soon as I got her and her mama my life changed, and I couldn't possibly imagine where I would be without them. 2 days ago Ginger started to shake. We do not know why this started. I have a video of it, but it is too big to post. She doesn't drool, pass out, or have any severe symptoms, except the shaking. I woke up to her shaking my whole bed. Everything I have read points to seizures, epilepsy, diabetes, pain, or potential poisoning. She is eating, drinking, and going potty fine, so I'm not sure what it is We are both disabled and on social security. This has made me physically ill to the point where I can barely get out of bed. We are doing our best to be strong for or baby. We need her as much as she needs us.

Bubbles

Bubbles is a 1-year-old Chihuahua in Modesto, CA, who needs $2,000 for Bilateral RU fractures.

Modesto, CA

Hi my name is Felicia, and I received my fur baby Bubbles on 5/20. Bubbles became a member of our family as a gift. We got Bubbles when she was 8 weeks old. She was just the tiniest baby, and she already had such a big personality. Bubbles is now a year and a half old. We have other fur babies in the home, and though Bubbles is the smallest she seems to be the leader of the pack. Bubbles really enjoys cuddling with her family, and doesn't really matter the occasion.Bubbles loves movie night, long car rides, visiting Grandma or great Grandma's house, or just taking a little nap with one of her favorite people.S he is very special to my entire extended family. She really is family. Bubbles is definitely a talker, and she's not afraid to express herself. She really gets to talking when she spots one of her favorite people. Not only does she talk but she jumps like she's wearing springs on her paws. She gets so excited that she can't stop kissing, jumping and talking. What can I say she really loves her people. So a little over a month ago Bubbles had an accident which broke both of her front paws. So on emergency basis she has been treated. The vet set her bones and splinted them. We have been back and forth with Bubbles to check the progress of her healing. Our hope was the splints would do the job. However there has been no progress. The bones are still separated. My poor baby Bubbles needs surgery to heal. I'm a single mother with 3 children and 3 fur babies.I was working full time until I was injured at work.I have been off work for 6 weeks with my injury. So at this time I'm barley able to pay rent to keep a place for our family to call home.

Kobe

Kobe is a 0-year-old German Shepard in lorton , VA, who needs $735 for X-ray and analysis.

lorton, VA

Kobe came into my life after a long road trip to Tennessee. Initially I was on my way to pick up another black German Shepard named 'Max" but when I finally got to Tennessee I found out that I had been scammed by a fake breeding website. I looked on craigslist after and found another german shepherd that ended up to be Kobe. I am so grateful that Kobe has came into my life and want him healthy! Kobe has a bed on each floor of our town home, and loves to play around in our backyard. Kobe enjoys walking around the neighborhood and playing with all his toys as well. He also loves water and won't miss his chance to get wet. When Kobe needs to go potty he will sit at the back door and wait. He is exceptionally smart and follows me around the house no matter where I go. Kobe is 4 months. I lost my job recently and my family has already put in money for his visit today. Getting kobe healthy again would mean more than the world for me and my family. I look at Kobe as my son and don't know what I would do without my pup in my life. Kobe needs an x ray and an IV My family and I took Kobe to the vet today and they can not give us a definite answer to why Kobe is sick. They told us his Kidney enzymes are high but not too high, and gave us antibiotics. They tested his blood work and tested him for parvovirus. His blood work is good and he is negative for parvo. Kobe will not eat or drink water willingly and does not have energy and also won't leave his bed. Kobe impresses me everyday. Training him is super easy and he does not like to fail. He is always happy and chasing me or my younger sister around the house. When I step out the house my sister tells me that he nibbles at her ankles and acts like he can get away with anything since I'm gone, that always puts a smile on my face. Since being in my life kobe has impacted me emotionally in great ways.
