MeeKai was born in Colorado, I drove 4 hours to get her. Our bond was instant. Even a gf from Colorado, later the SAME day I got her, said to me: "We have 15 ppl in the house, & the min you speak, MeeKai recognizes you & goes crazy for you, She knows you are MOMMY" I flew to FL 2 days later, next day went to VET, & find out she was a born with DEFFECTIVE heart. Vet suggested to give back, but MeeKai is a 7-month Alaskan Klee Kai presenting multiple congenital cardiac defects. 2 echocardiogram in 3 months, reveal severe aortic stenosis, with a hypoplastic annulus. The aortic annular area is calculated to be 0.57 cm², resulting in an approximate 86% stenosis of the aortic outflow. The orifice is reduced to roughly 1/7th of its normal size. There is severe (3+) aortic insufficiency. MeeKai is very loving, she gives so many kisses to Mom & I every Morning and night. She guards us, she barks at strangers that she doesn't like. After having 2 other beLOVED doggies, She is special, MeeKai is alert and smart. She's a great companion and full of life, and wanting to play with other dogs, but we don't allow it due to her heart condition. \*Trigger warning\* She has only been in this world for three months, yet she's already endured unimaginable cruelty. Someone repeatedly struck this tiny puppy in the head with what veterinarians believe was a heavy metal object, causing catastrophic trauma. The force of the blows were so severe that her eyes were displaced from their sockets. A compassionate local found her and contacted Pawsitive Sanctuary immediately, and they rushed to get her the emergency care she desperately needed. When their rescue team arrived, they weren't sure she would make it. She cried constantly, shook her head in confusion, and struggled to walk, unable to understand the pain she had been forced to endure. Watching such a young puppy fight through that kind of suffering was heartbreaking. Leaving her behind was never an option. Veterinarians believe her injuries are consistent with repeated blows from an object such as a metal pipe. The trauma to her skull is extensive, and she now faces a long, difficult road to recovery. Despite everything she's been through, she's still fighting, and so are her caretakers. As they searched for more information about what happened, they learned that approximately three months ago, another puppy believed to be from the same litter or family died after sustaining nearly identical injuries in the same area. They cannot confirm the cases are connected, but the possibility is frightening. Their team is working closely with local residents to gather information while doing everything possible to save this little girl's life. She has been stabilized, but her journey is only beginning. She will require multiple surgeries to repair the devastating injuries to her head and eyes, followed by extensive medical care and rehabilitation. The cost of treatment will be overwhelming, but they're committed to giving her every chance at the future she deserves. We're asking for your help today. The Pig came into our lives 6 years ago when she was just 14 weeks old. She was born at a local shelter after her mother was brought in pregnant as a stray. She was born deaf and stole our hearts right away being one of the last of her litter to get adopted. After a short walk The Pig began to limp on her hind leg. It was really only noticeable after chasing a few birds in the yard. Then it became more frequent leading to having an X-ray done. This X-ray showed that she has torn her CCL (equivalent to an ACL in humans) in her right hind leg and a beginning tear in her left. Pig now needs to have surgery on both her legs at ProFormance Canine surgical. The Pig is special in so many ways. She was born deaf and has learned many signs for us to communicate with her. She is an absolute love that just wants to be next to her people at all times. Her greatest joy is laying under a blanket with someone she loves. While her official name given to her at the shelter is Pockets, we call her the Pig because she loves to snort around for all the smells. The cost of The Pigs surgery is about $6,000 per leg. So roughly $12,000 all together. Unfortunately we do not have the financial ability to pay for the surgery the pig needs at this time. It is crucial for her to have this surgery and be able to walk without pain.

For starters, it is suspected that he was hit by a car—given the significant damage to his hips and hind legs. But what is even more mind-boggling to us is that, sometime BEFORE this happened, George was shot, point-blank at close range, MULTIPLE times in the head and right leg—with his bullet wounds indicating this happened months, possibly even a year, ago. Despite all that he has been forced to endure at the hands of humans, George STILL remains one of the sweetest boys. He loves everyone and everything, and everyone adores this huge teddy bear right back!– He is an absolute snuggle-bug, who adores his foster family and loves nothing more than being spoiled (*us too, buddy, us too…). George is the absolute sweetest boy! He's never met a stranger! His tail never stops wagging and he just loves to cuddle! He met a girlfriend in his new foster home, who he just adores! Then, when his emergency medical needs are tackled, George will also need to have a full veterinary workup, neutering surgery, and have his injured eye examined (and possibly removed). He may need to have a hip replacement down the road, depending on how his appointment with the Orthopedic Specialist goes. George is also heart worm positive and will need treatment for that This boy's ongoing medical costs have already run our Rescue well over $2,750, not including George's upcoming specialty exams, follow-up X-rays, surgeries, etc. The total cost of all of George's medical care is going to be extensive and we need any support we can get

My wife rescued Piper June 6, 2016. They are two peas in a pod! I met Piper in April of 2022. She wasn’t a huge fan of me being the new “lady” in her moms life and bringing a brother she never asked for, but over time we have become best friends! She lives in an apartment with both her moms and her older, big brother, Beastly. She’s the boss though! Piper had 8 teeth extractions 2/17/26. She has a history of dental disease, but she is other wise a very healthy pup. Wednesday, her left eye was very swollen and not tracking. After two ER visits she was given eye drops and medication. Her dental surgeon saw her 2/20-21 and found abscesses and an ulcer. She went critical 2/21 and transferred to ICU at Vet Specialty Hospital. She is the best cuddles and occasional nurse for me when I am sick. She is my little shadow and loves to give kisses even if they are a bit aggressive and invasive sometimes! She has the best side eye and little attitude. She knows how to wrap you around her paws. She makes the rules, and we just provide her with love and a home! It is impossible not to fall into a spell under her adorable charm! This medical emergency is completely unexpected. Her care for the weekend alone is $12,000 dollars. She is fighting hard but after this weekend we financially can’t help her fight longer. We don’t want to say goodbye to our baby girl, but we just are not financially able

Hello my name is Alexandra I currently live in NYC. My lovely dog Saturn was a gift for my son who has Autism. We got him about 8 years ago at the age of 2 months. He is an emotional supporting dog. My son named him Saturn after his favorite planet. Also he couldn't really speak at the time and that was one of the few words he was able to say. At the moment Saturn has cysts that developed on his back paws. He suffers from really bad environmental allergies. He's being treated currently at URVet Care Midtown in NYC. He's going to need surgery to remove them. Hopefully with this treatment and medication he will recover. Saturn is a very important part of the family. He is truly like another child. He will get upset and throw tantrums when he doesn't get his way. He will be the first one greeting you at the door. When someone is upset or having a bad day he will come up to you and put his head under your hand. Making you focus on petting him to distract you from your current emotional distress. I suffer from a bone disease and am currently on a fix income and can't afford his surgery. Saturn needs this help to improve his quality of life. To have him back to his old happy self would me the world to me.
