We had gotten Tito during Covid. He was only 1 1/2 pounds when we got him. We were told he was a “teacup” Chihuahua (I know those aren’t truly a “thing”) but we think that his breeder gave him to us at only about 5-6 weeks to make him seem smaller. Despite being small Tito quickly showed his huge personality! He became the love of our lives! On May 16 Tito woke up shaking which is something he truly never does. He seems ok I thought maybe he was just cold. Later that day we went on a play date at my moms and he couldn’t jump up on her porch step.. just one step. I took him home crate rested him and by the next morning his hind legs and tail had no movement. He seemed to have no feeling. We have no clue what happened to him. Tito has become the baby I was never able to have. I suffered from infertility for years before having a hysterectomy at age 40. Bringing Tito home gave me someone to take care of. When I got a dog I never realized how much they love unconditionally. Tito has always had the stereotypical Chihuahua personality of being moody but he is so sweet to me. I have no idea what I will do if I loose him! I love my job in March of 2026. I have gone through all of my savings and have just gotten back to work. Just being able to get Tito and MRI would mean the world to me just to know what’s wrong with him. I just want him to walk again so bad. He has so much life in him!

Hello. Dash is apart of my children. He was my first baby. My fur baby. My kids love him dearly and have been giving him all the rubs to comfort him while he hasn’t been mobile as much. We live in my grandmas home with steps and it’s hard for Dash to get in and out of the house. It’s like his back legs are giving out on him. It’s so sad to witness. Dash has developed some arthritis and can’t hold his body weight up without the proper medication. He needs X-rays and they are pretty costly. The X-rays are need to rule out anything besides arthritis Dash has been special since the day I got him. I was getting my grandmothers dog from the vet. It was a sign stating he was free. He was left in a box outside and I feel in love with him. He ran so fast and would always get his head stuck under the couch lol he has always been bright light. He would dart from every corner of the house and that’s how he got the name. Dash. When I first got my dog I was 19 years old. I am now 34 years old with two kids and struggling financially. I leave for work at 5 and it’s a hassle to get up and carry him outside and be worried about him making it outside again to pee and get back in the horse

My sweet baby Gray 🩶.. I love this boy with everything. He was sickly when he was a pup. He survived parvovirus, the vet said they still get it sometimes. He was healing from that at 4 months old and had got bitten by a copperhead a few times on his back leg. He slept on my lap in a recliner until he healed and never stopped being the lap dog he is. Now at 130lbs he's still my baby boy. May 19th I took him to out vet to be neutered. All the girls loved him because he's so handsome and friendly. He army crawled all the way in the very office. So I left and about 40 minutes later they called me, they couldn't put him under because he has a slight heart condition. That's all they would say. I needed to take him to a cardiologist "right away". Problem is I haven't the money. My baby Gray has never met a person or animal he didn't love. That boy is full of love and joy. He was meant to be a guard dog for my daughter like the rest but he's just my baby. He backs away from confrontation. The name of his game is play and he requires attention and if he doesn't get it he'll eat something. A recliner, shoes, a blanket or 2, The bed. You will be cleaning something up. I lost my dad 2 weeks ago tomorrow so I'm the only provider. It's my daughter I and 9 dogs. I support us but it's pressing to say the least. I need help with this please. He's my baby and it could be a simple fix I pray. But if it's more God's got us. I can't lose him please

I got Lena after my older brother said he didn't want her anymore because she was too boring. He adopted her from Sedona, Arizona but after a couple months she came to live with me in San Diego, CA when she was 4. She has lived with me ever since and it had been 10 years. My boyfriend and I moved into our first apartment together 5 years ago. We are a family of 3, and she is our baby and our world On Monday, May 25th, Lena was hospitalized due to an acute kidney injury which resulted in Azotemia, in addition to having a mass cell tumor on her neck. She also was recently diagnosed with GI tract issues and high blood pressure. She is currently checked into Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Sorrento Valley where Dr. Yellimelli and Dr. Rodriguez are treating our baby. Lena's most favorite place in the world is in someone's lap. She's incredibly smart, and emotionally intelligent. She responds best to gentle love and absolutely hates commotion or loud noises. Even a high five will have her running into a corner, but as soon as you direct it towards her, she starts to get excited. She gives the sweetest kisses, and her smell and soft fur always bring us peace. We are on a fixed income and have been forced to live extremely frugally. Any savings that we have accumulated over the years has gone into Lena's treatment. Lena has brought so much joy into everyone's life that she has met, its too soon for her to be taken away.

My dog Vader came into my life years ago. I went to play with my neighbors 3 puppies, and Vader was too busy napping under the table to be interested. When the treats were gone, I asked, "Who wants to come home with me?", and the other two ran off and Vader came out from the table, sat in my lap, and kissed my face. He's been by my side ever since. Vader needs to get his front left leg amputated to prevent the bone cancer from spreading. He has a good chance of survival with happy years ahead if we can get the procedure done before the bone cancer spreads to his vital organs. We are getting him treated at the Tropicana Animal Hospital. Vader is legally my emotional support animal. He is extremely sensitive emotionally, and always offers his companionship to the people around him. He has played with my nieces and nephews through the years, and shares a home with my mother and 101 year old grandmother. Every morning, he goes into grandma's room to say good morning and lay at the foot of her bed. It was unemployed so a few months ago we decided to take in my grandmother because I would be able to offer her the full-time care she needs. I will eventually get paid for my caregiving, but the process can take up to a year, and Vader doesn't have that much time.

Princess is a young dog who was found as a stray in Denison, TX. She was full of energy and quite vocal, but just a few days after Animal Services brought her to the shelter, she came down with Canine Parvovirus. Shelter staff quickly noticed she became lethargic and lost interest in eating. She was taken to the local Emergency Clinic, tested positive, and received the Canine Parvovirus antibody provided by DAWG, along with several other treatments. After three nights of care, she returned to DAWG as her lively, vocal self. While we’re thankful for the medical attention she received, it left us with an unexpected bill of over $1,500.

Ty came into my life as a puppy and quickly became family. She is a loving, energetic 1-year-old pitbull who has been by my side through difficult times. Earlier this year, our family experienced a house fire and major life changes, including moving and losing many of our pets. We once had about 10 cats and now only have one remaining cat in the home. Through everything, Ty has been a source of co My dog was recently diagnosed with a torn ACL and meniscus in her left leg and is now beginning to struggle with her right back leg from overcompensating. She is currently on medication, but surgery is urgently recommended to prevent worsening pain and long-term damage. She is being treated through the Woodbridge veterinary hospital. She is the sweetest, most loving dog and truly a part of our family. She loves being around people, cuddling, and making everyone laugh with her playful personality. Seeing her unable to run, play, or comfortably walk has been heartbreaking because she is normally such a happy, active puppy. Cocoa is normally affectionate, alert, and very attached to her routine and the people she trusts. Cocoa has been experiencing ongoing medical issues that required veterinary attention. She has been evaluated for gastrointestinal problems, respiratory symptoms, and severe skin allergies. These conditions have affected her appetite, comfort, breathing, and overall quality of life, and she has needed medical care to help manage her symptoms. Cocoa was examined and treated at Farmers Veterinary Her behavior is typically very affectionate and calm. She enjoys attention, cuddling, and being held, and she responds well to familiar voices and routines. Cocoa is also very sensitive to the emotions in the home and tends to stay close when she senses someone is upset or stressed, offering comfort in her own way. What makes this so hard is watching her go through it. Cocoa isn’t just sick—she’s uncomfortable, and there are days where she just doesn’t feel like herself. I feel helpless at times knowing she needs care, but I’m constantly trying to figure out how to cover it.

Nymeria isn't just our pet, she's our family, our daughter or "doghter" as we often call her. She's been by our side every single day since we found her as a puppy. She sleeps and eats by our side. We never leave her at home as she goes everywhere with us. We have our first baby on the way and she protects her mommy more than ever. She is the best thing to happen to us and our absolute world One night she was acting off. Nothing anyone besides us would notice as she was still running around. Until she began whining randomly. We rushed her to "Med Vet" an emergency vet at 1 in the morning. She had a fever. They did X-rays and blood work. They didn't know what was wrong. They wanted to hospitalize her. Shes recovering now but cannot cover the bill with a baby on the way and limited fund Nymeria has always been the sweetest and most loving pup. She's our world. We call her Nym or Nymi often as it’s easier for our nephew. She cuddles, sleeps, and eats by our side everyday. Her mommy is pregnant with her first sister due in August and she has been protecting her mommy. Laying on her belly, feeling kicks, and getting excited when she feels them. She's going to be the best big sister! Nymerias dad recently took a medical leave from his job. Her mommy is currently pregnant with her first baby sister. We have absolutely no income at the moment and are struggling overall. Before the vet we were already beyond limited in funds and we need help.
