Evie

Evie is a 2 month old Mix-Breed in Wilmington, NC, who needs $2,000 for Inguinal Hernia Repair.

Wilmington, NC

On April 27th, I saw a tiny little dark thing in the middle of a busy road. As I got closer, I realized it was a kitten! I pulled over & the kitten ran to the ditch bank & hid. I picked her up & she clung to me. I looked around &didn't see mama cat or sibs. I fell in love with her immediately! Named her Evie, means Life, Living, Lively. She was meant to be my fur baby &now also has 2 cat sibs! She acclimated after a couple of days &ventured out of the hall bath I had put her in so she could get used to it here&smell the other two cats under the door. That's when I noticed a squishy movable small lump by her back left leg. I thought it was an abscess. It got larger by the next day, so I took her to the vet. Turns out it is an inguinal hernia & she needs surgery asap because of it's size She is a cuddler! She loves to be held& be wherever I am at. I work from home &she has a bed up on my desk because she doesn't like to be far away. She is a talker too! She will wake up from a na then meow with all her might to get my attention letting me know it is time for more kitten wet food! She loves to eat, play, &also loves to be close to the other female cat,Luna, she is loving Evie too! The est. is $2,445 - $2,565 & is an unexpected, sudden expense. I had to take her to the vet May 3rd because I was concerned if it was an abscess, it may burst, it couldn't wait to get pet insurance going 1st before taking her& the surgery is needed asap bc hernia is large

Bernie

Bernie is a 9 year old Munchkin in Winter Garden, FL, who needs $1,500 for Abdominal Ultrasound, Echocardiogram & Xrays.

Winter Garden, FL

Bernie was left home w/out his owner for 18 mos (Covid), flown to the UK for another 18 mos then flown to Florida in April 2023 with his owner, who has dementia. He arrived in Florida injured. His owner went into a memory care facility & took Bernie with her. He was stolen for a month, dumped, returned filthy & sick, then left in his empty house w/out owner for 6 mos before I adopted him. Bernie’s front paws are partially or fully paralyzed; one is curled upward & can’t keep balance. Diarrhea for 10 mos. Two vets in April & May 2023; treated for diarrhea, eye infection, & referred to neurologist & cardiologist. 1/24 to Blue Pearl for an exam; referred spinal scan & ultrasound. Chain of Lakes Animal Clinic in 3/24, bloodwork good, treated for Giardia. Rear leg is now giving issues. This little guy has been through so much from being left alone, flying back and forth, having an a violent dementia patient as owner, being in a memory care facility then stolen, then left alone again while suffering from a spinal/nerve injury and having continuous diarrhea for so long. He deserves some normalcy, dignity and peace. I adopted Bernie not knowing the extent of his needs & their cost. My employer owes me 6 mos of pay from 2023 after promising pay by Feb 2024.. No pay to date. Emptied savings to pay living expenses; credit card is close to full. Looking for income still. He needs help.

Rio

Rio is a 5-year-old Chihuahua in Crandall, TX, who needs $2,000 for Repair of Fractured Paw.

Crandall

Hi this is Rio! She was gifted to me from by boyfriend who rescued her from a homeless couple. They lived in front of our building in a tent. My boyfriend fed the dog on a regularly and became attached to her. The couple had to relocated and asked if he could take the dog. She was a whopping 4 pounds when I received her. We have been thick as thieves in the last 5 years. She is my heart and love. Rio is a momma’s girl. She greets me daily from work. I wait for her to run to the door. We nap and sleep in my bed. We watch comedies and dramas because she doesn’t like violence. She will hiss at guns or arguing on tv. She barks and growls at dogs on tv. I think it’s hilarious. Shes overprotective and will crawl under your arm so you can show her some love. Rio makes me happy. I have something to look forward to when I come home since I am an empty nester. I love our walks in the neighborhood as we meet new friends. If you smile at her, the tail wags and she is for sure to come your way. She receives lots of belly rubs and kisses from strangers. Rio has a fractured right front paw. She jumped off the bed and suffered this injury. I was able to take her to an emergency vet for X-ray and medication but was told it should be surgically repaired so she won’t suffer arthritis and have the ability to walk normal. Splinting the paw may cause continuance of pain and it may not heal. We have been referred to Dallas Veterinary Surgical Hospital I was not prepared for this tragedy. I am on a fixed income. I used my last to get her xray and pain medication. I am using all sources to get her better and see her run and play with her toys.

Melony is a 5-year-old Pitbull Mix in Columbia, MO, who needs $2,000 for Alternative Cancer Treatment and Therapy.

Columbia, MO

Melony has been with me ever since she was born. I also have her moma Ginger. These two dogs have an unbelievable bond! They been there for the good times and the tragic. Melony is so gentle with my nieces baby 10 months. Every time she goes near him, you hear her fantly whimpering because she cares so much for him. All she does is try to kiss him constantly. SO PRECIOUS! The baby plays taking toys back and forth. Makes your heart fill with joy! I know she would jump in front of a bullet to save any of us! Just like I will do for her! Melony, Ginger, and myself had a pretty rough time together! Which has bonded our love! They saved me as much as I save them. I lost my only child in 2018. I really felt the world had no place for me. We live for our children. But the love they had for me gave me purpose! Melony BLESS HER HEART She got shot in the eye lost her eye. She almost lost her life to pyometra. The university and GOD saved her. Now has cancer. Just starting to show signs! Lots of life to live! She has a grade 2 low grade tumor removed. She has a high chance of it returning if she doesn't get treatment! Aternative. Believe me I won't let her suffer. She deserves so much! Melony has insurance. My responsibility will be 20% of cover procedures. Also the nutrition the vet recommends is costly. Not every item will be covered. This is our Angel! She's has has good prognosis and another chance to shine!

Photo of Charlie

Charlie

Charlie is a 7-month-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Hawthorne , CA, who needs $2,000 for Intensive Fluid Therapy.

Hawthorne, CA

This is Charlie. Charlie was born from my late cat named Rosie. He was the only tuxedo in the litter with hazel eyes. Charlie is being raised by me and my boyfriend along with his siblings. He also lives with 3 other dogs. We live in a home with a small backyard and a side yard. He hardly goes out considering he is only 7 months. He is one of the most loving babies out of the litter. Charlie is more like the timid cat in the litter, but he is the most loving baby I could ever have. Charlie does not like the dogs because they bully him to much but he loves his siblings so much. My boyfriend is his biggest caretaker in the home. He is fed wet food everyday and given new toys every Petco visit! Lol. My Charlie is special because he came into our lives with no warning but either way we grown to love him so much. He is one of those cats that you wish every cat parent could have, those loving ones who love to sit in your lap all day and will never let you sleep alone. He has such vocals he could be a singer. He has the most beautiful eyes and the most whitest paws. He is my Baby and he is unique Amongst the love and care, the ignorance won me over and I didn’t make the correct decision and vaccinate my cats once they turned a month old. I have been ignorant and blind-sided and it is now costing me my entire paycheck. I came in today at AM PM Ideal Pet Care in Norwalk, California and came to find out Charlie has FVP ( Feline ParvoVirus). He is only 7 months old. K E Lee was my veterinarian I am an 18 year old girl who has just finished highschool. I am working a job as a server at a diner. I went once to the clinic and was charged 480$ for the test, blood panel, and the antibiotics. I need help with my baby surviving who has no fault at my financial situation.
