My little Sunshine is what we have left of her mom, our beloved Lady who passed away a couple of years ago. She has been with us since her conception. I am in need of emergency financial support to treat pyometra which is life threatening situation. She will require surgery and antibiotics. The surgery has a 97 percent success rate She is our sweet baby. She is our daughters dog and will be sorely missed. She adds joy and laughter to our lives. She loves playing keep away and chasing lizards This was completely sudden and unexpected. This happened at a time when our family is strapped on funds with no emergency funds available. It would mean our family's and daughters world to get her healthy and happy again.

I adopted his mother, and she wasn't spayed and got pregnant; that's how he came into my life. hes the cutest guy ever full of life, i want him to live more. he got into something, and the doctors dont know what it is we did his blood work many times his Xray and all but the doctor wants to do it again to see whats going on and i dont have money left. Our pet is a very special and loving part of our family. He is gentle, affectionate, and always brings comfort and happiness to everyone around him. He loves being around our family and enjoys spending time with us, whether he is playing, resting, or simply following us around the house. We are currently facing a difficult financial situation while trying to get our beloved pet the medical care he needs. The cost of veterinary treatment is more than we can comfortably afford right now.

My Lucie Lu came into my life 9 years ago. I rescued her in 2019 when she was only 3 months. She was tiny little kitten who grew up to be a beautiful and extremely loving cat. She has a sister named Sophie who is also a rescue cat. The best word to describe Lucie is silly. She is a silly little cat who loves being loved, laying on top of you and upside down, treats, and belly rubs. My sweet girl. Two years ago Lucie had the teeth on the left side of her mouth removed due to dental issues. Now she needs the teeth on the right side of her mouth removed as well. I am doing the best I can but she is in pain and can only eat wet food. It is heartbreaking seeing my sweet Lucie Lu in pain. I was able to pay for the first surgery, but a lot has changed in the past two years and we need help. My Lucie is definitely a talker when it comes to food. If she sees you prepping her food she will meow incessantly for you to hurry up. She loves playing with the laser pointer. But honestly, what she loves the most is being loved. She LOVES, is obsessed with, and demands butt taps. If you start and then stop, trust me, she’ll complain Unfortunately, earlier this year my car drained my savings account. Since Lucie’s last surgery I’ve been doing everything I can to keep her teeth clean, including brushing. She’s in pain and I’m trying ti do everything I can to relieve her of that pain. This is unexpected

Muffin is the sweetest, loving boy I ever had. He needed a home and I took him in. He's named after my dear friends brother who passed. I live alone with another puppy named grandma, he sleeps near me and protects me. I feel safe when he's with me and he's been such a great emotional support dog. recently suffered a terrible injury. After reviewing the x-rays, Dr. Andersen at VCA Ballston Spa confirmed that Muffin has a very nasty, painful fracture.Muffin needs a critical orthopedic surgery to repair the bone properly so he can walk, run, and live a pain-free life again. Dr. Andersen wants to move forward with the operation as soon as possible A week ago, I suffered from 3 blood clots, I'm only in my 30s very abnormal, if it wasn't for muffin I wouldn't have known, I avoid the Drs myself. I was playing. With him and I thought I injured my leg. I wouldn't have went to the hospital, with out cause. I would have went about my days and struggled thinking I would have been okay. If it wasn't for him, I would have died. I have never been down like this, medically unable to work atm. I love him so much. I still carry him up the stairs with 3 blood clots in my leg. I'd die for him, he protects me with his life. I can't imagine giving him up permanently, just bc I'm down atm.

Sugar is a 2.5 year old Labrador Husky in Nuangola, PA, who needs $6,000 for Surgery for Torn CCL.

Sugar came into our lives almost 3 years ago, and is a very active and loving dog! She has lots of puppy in her and loves to play with her family and older “sister” doggies. After multiple vet visits and X-rays, it was determined Sugar has a torn CCL, similar to a human’s ACL. This unfortunately is a common issue in her breed and requires surgery to fix, and is a must for bigger dog breeds like hers to be able to live normally and happily. Right now she limps daily and misses her long walks and swimming with her sister doggies. Sugar has all the energy and spunk of her Husky side, blended with her loving and loyal Labrador half! Her favorite time of the day is getting to swim and go for long exploration walks. She’s the sweetest girl which makes it that much harder to see her suffering everyday. On a limited income we’re struggling to meet the costs. Our vet has estimated it’ll be ~$6000, not including the gas and medication she will need when healing.

Meet Hodr! This incredible little boy spent months at animal control, where he spent his days huddled under a blanket. At only about 9 years old, he seemed much older because of his severe arthritis and near blindness. Time and again, he was passed by—until Chessed Foundation Rescue found him and gave him a chance. Since arriving in rescue, Hodr has completely blossomed in his foster home. He is gaining confidence every day and has turned into an absolute Velcro dog, staying close to his foster mom like glue. In fact, it's a good thing he only weighs 4 pounds because Hodr loves spending his days zipped into her sweatshirt! While his veterinarians don't feel there is much that can be done for his vision or joints, there is still an important step that can help give Hodr the best possible future. Chessed Foundation Rescue has made the decision to have him neutered, which will reduce his cancer risk and also help make him more adoptable. After spending so long overlooked at the shelter, Hodr finally has a safe place to call home and people who believe in him. Now, we're asking for your help to cover the cost of his neuter so he can continue on his journey toward a long and healthy life. Help Jax Recover After Being Hit by a Car

Jax is one of the coolest dogs the rescue has ever had! He is laid-back, happy about everything, and friendly to everyone—adults, kids, men, women, dogs, and cats. He truly loves them all. Jax has no teeth, so his tongue is always hanging out, giving him a uniquely adorable look. But as a senior dog, finding the right home can be difficult, and Jax has now been at Chessed Foundation Rescye for almost six months. Unfortunately, over the past month, Jax has started showing his age and exhibiting the beginning signs of dementia. Then, last week, something terrifying happened. During his usual 6 a.m. walk with his foster dad, a loud noise suddenly spooked Jax. He pulled the leash from his dad's hand and ran into the street. The noise was coming from a car speeding down the road, and the car ran right over Jax. Thankfully, Jax mostly went underneath the car. His foster dad immediately rushed him to the emergency hospital, where Jax received a full examination, X-rays, and ultrasounds. Thankfully, Jax's injuries were limited to a bruised hip and road rash. He is expected to make a full recovery, but the emergency visit and care resulted in a veterinary bill of more than $1,400. After everything Jax has already been through, we are asking for help covering the cost of his emergency care. Any donation toward Jax's veterinary bill would be deeply appreciated and will help ease the financial burden of this unexpected expense. Meet Nori, a sweet 7-year-old Dachshund mix from Florida who has been a loyal companion, protector, and beloved member of her family for years. Now, this devoted little dog needs her family to be there for her. Nori's journey began when her mom rescued her stray mother, Cinnamon, who later gave birth to Nori. From the very beginning, Nori was meant to be part of this family—and she has spent the past seven years filling their lives with love. She has traveled across the country with her mom, been her constant companion, and became a beloved protector and childhood friend to her granddaughter. During thunderstorms, Nori would hide under the blankets with her family, always finding comfort in the people she loved most. But recently, everything changed. Nori's family discovered a mass near her anus. She was initially treated with medication for an infection, but the mass has remained and now needs to be surgically removed. Her surgery is estimated to cost approximately $800–$920. Thankfully, Nori's family has already received a $400 grant, but they still need to raise an additional $400 to help cover the remaining cost of her surgery. For Nori's mom, this isn't simply a veterinary bill. Nori is her ride-or-die companion, her granddaughter's childhood protector, and the best friend she never knew she needed. For four years, Jules has called Vegas Roots Rescue home. Jules first came to the rescue while she was pregnant and in need of a safe place to land. She gave birth to her puppies, watched them find their forever homes, and then began waiting for a family of her own. Four years later, she is still waiting. Over the years, Jules has watched countless dogs come and go as they found the families they had been waiting for. Yet somehow, this sweet Pit Bull Terrier continues to be overlooked. Not because she isn't deserving of a home, but because sometimes even the most loving dogs wait far too long for someone to choose them. Despite years without adoption interest, Jules has never stopped loving people. She continues to greet each day with hope and trusts the volunteers who have cared for her throughout her long stay. The team at Vegas Roots Rescue has never given up on her, and they want to make sure Jules has everything she needs while she continues waiting for her person.
