🐾 MY SECOND CHANCE ISN'T OVER YET... ❤️

Lafayette, CA • Hugs For Harry

Hi everyone... it's me, Mickey D. About a month ago, I underwent one of the biggest surgeries of my life. The wonderful doctors at UC Davis removed 19 diseased teeth that had been causing me unimaginable pain. For years, every bite, every chew, every meal must have hurt. I just lived with it because I didn't know any other way. The good news is... my gums have healed beautifully. My veterinary team says I'm finally ready for the next step. This Thursday, I'll return to UC Davis for what they hope will be the final surgery to stabilize and rebuild my jaw. After new imaging—including an ultrasound and Cone Beam CT scan—they plan to implant a special bridge designed to help regrow the bone and stabilize my fractured jaw. If all goes as planned, my jaw can heal properly, and I'll finally have the chance to eat, play, and live without the pain I've carried for so long. But there's one problem. The surgery will cost approximately $5,800, and we're running out of time. Hugs For Harry has never turned away from dogs like me, even when the medical bills seemed impossible. They said "yes" when I needed them most. My surgeries are not cosmetic - they are life saving. Now they're asking for your help so they can say "yes" one last time and see it through. Every donation—whether it's $10, $25, $100, or more —brings me one step closer to the surgery that could change the rest of my life. I didn't choose to live with a fractured jaw and years of untreated dental disease. But because of you... I may finally get the chance to heal. Thank you for believing that dogs like me are worth saving. With love, ❤️ Mickey D \# Help Mickey D Heal 🐾 Goal: $5,800 📅 Surgery: This Thursday, July 23, 2026 at UC Davis Veterinary Learning Hospital 💙 Every donation, every share, and every prayer helps.

Apollo

Apollo is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Morristown , IN, who needs $1,000 for Possible Antifreeze Toxicity or Snake Bite.

Morristown, IN

We adopted our cat as a kitten, and he is now 4½ years old. He moved with us from Alabama to Indiana in 2024. He is a beloved family member our children grew up with. He enjoys being outdoors, gets along with our dog, Jack, and always comes when called. He is now very ill, not acting like himself, and our family is devastated. We are seeking assistance to get him the care he needs. Until now, our cat has always been healthy. We have always kept up with his shots and flea medication at home. About two weeks ago, his face became swollen, and I became very worried. He spends time outdoors and in the barn, and I worry he may have gotten into antifreeze or been bitten by a snake or another animal, but I cannot be sure. He is now very sick and needs care. Apollo is much more than a pet; he is family. He has been my daughter’s constant source of comfort through some of the hardest times in her life, including losing her grandfather and uncle, her parents’ divorce after 20 years together, and nearly losing her mother due to my lupus diagnosis. She struggles with severe depression, and Apollo has always been by her side. He brings comfort and love. We need assistance because I am a single mother caring for my daughter and my mother, who recently lost her husband, my loving father. We also lost my brother. I work small jobs to survive with limited support. Apollo is my daughter’s emotional support and the love that keep

Pika

Pika is a 4 month old Chihuahua in Nooksack, WA, who needs $6,500 for Hypoplastic Vulvar Aperture.

Nooksack, WA

I found Pika on FB from the same lady I got my Brimley from. These two are full blood sissys and come from the same parents. Pika was born with a vulva deformity meaning she never developed a normal external vulva. She was the runt or the litter and I already had her picked out and named when she was only a couple weeks old. Pika was a gift to my dad for Father’s Day. She lives with my dad. Pika’s vulva deformity requires a Vulvoplasty surgery done by a specialist. Pika’s primary vet attempted a correction once already but the opening essentially closed back up during the healing process. The Specialist at Boundary Bay Veterinary in Bellingham has a solution but for a fee that we cannot afford. Pika is very special for a puppy dealing with such an abnormal deformity. She is full of life! She absolutely loves everybody and adores her many siblings. She has Brimley of course and 4 other large breed siblings between my dad and I. This girl never gets tired of playing rough with her twin sissy. She will get up on the deck or the couch just to leap, fly & body slam her sissy. Small & mighty! Being on a fixed income/low income myself and my dad essentially with no income we are pressed to get her the help she needs. My dad and I started a family business about 2 years ago and we just don’t have the financial ability to cover this cost. With your help maybe we can

Bella

Bella is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Denham Springs, LA, who needs $2,500 for Seizure Disorder Evaluation & Care.

Denham Springs, LA

Bella is a 4-year-old Dachshund/Corgi mix who came into my life unexpectedly. My son and daughter-in-law adopted her as a puppy, but when they moved into an apartment that only allowed one pet, they asked if I could keep her. She and Chloe had become inseparable, and after my divorce Bella came home with me. She has been my constant companion through some of the most difficult years of my life. In 2025, Bella suddenly stopped eating, stopped climbing stairs, and seemed to be in pain. After several veterinary visits, she began having repeated seizures and had to be rushed to the emergency veterinary hospital. Because I couldn't afford an MRI, her doctors treated her for a possible infection, which thankfully saved her life. Although she recovered, she was later diagnosed with epilepsy. Bella has the sweetest personality. She loves belly rubs, children, follows me everywhere, and always knows when I need comfort. Watching her bounce back after every seizure amazes me. Even after a frightening episode, she'll eventually wag her tail, curl up beside me, and remind me to keep fighting too. She isn't just my pet—she's family. Between losing my job and facing my own serious medical challenges, I simply can't keep up with Bella's medical expenses alone. She urgently needs bloodwork to monitor the medication that helps control her seizures, along with continued veterinary care and medication.

Pringle

Pringle is a 8 year old American Shorthair in Taylorsville , UT, who needs $1,300 for Teeth Extraction Surgery.

Taylorsville, UT

Pringle initially came into our lives as a foster. We had lost a cat unexpectedly earlier in the year, and our hearts were ready to bring another cat into the home, but not quite ready to make the commitment of adoption. When we went to meet the cats at the shelter to choose one to foster, Pringle climbed into my lap immediately and snuggled right up. We adopted him only a couple of months later. Pringle is FIV+, which has caused stomatitis. Stomatitis is an extremely painful, debilitating inflammation of the mouth and gums. He has received treatment at Murray Animal Hospital. In November 2025, he had surgery to remove some teeth. His condition has been well managed by medications until recently, when he started showing signs of pain again. He needs surgery to remove the rest of his teeth. Pringle is the sweetest cat in the world. Every single person who has met him has been instantly in love. He loves to snuggle and prefers to be as close to me as he can be. He makes the best biscuits and loves to lie in the sun. He has a little big sister named Hera, who he loves, even though she doesn't always love him back. He's a big fan of churu and always comes running when he hears his food. We're a young couple — one in graduate school, one working full time — doing our best for a cat who deserves to be out of pain. This surgery came as a major unexpected expense with no emergency fund behind us. We've secured a grant and are contributing everything we can.
