Tomlin

Tomlin is a 6 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Deltona, FL, who needs $3,758 for Aural Hematoma Repair or Complete Removal.

Deltona, FL

Tomlin was brought to the shelter by a family that found him on the street. He was at the shelter for a few days and was set to be euthanasia him and 14 other pitbulls. We came looking for a pitbull to give a forever home to. He first lived in Astor Fl, Eustis fl, debary fl and now deltona fl busy guy! He is a loving boy and the complete opposite from what people paint then to me On Christmas eve in 2024 Tomlin had a bad ear infection. This lead to Tomlin having a Hematoma on his ear. We rushed him to the Emergency vet in deland. He was treated but needed surgery 2 weeks later again. He has allergies that are hard to keep him away from. He now has another Hematoma on his other ear he has been scratching at it and he will need the same surgery on this ear. Tomlin is everything people wrongly assume a pit bull isn't. He's a happy, gentle old soul who is content just hanging out, going with the flow, and enjoying life, especially if treats are involved! We have saved his life twice, and without hesitation we'd do it again. He's more than just a great dog; he's family, and every day with him is a reminder that love is stronger than stereotypes. Tomlin needs surgery to repair an aural hematoma by stitching both sides of his ear together. He also needs treatment for a severe ear infection, protective stitches, and a no-flap ear wrap. If this fails, damaged ear tissue may have to be removed to help him heal.

Help Pete Get Mass and Dental Surgery

Perryville, MO • Bichon Rescue Brigade

Pete was surrendered by his owner to an overcrowded, high-kill California shelter in rough shape. Confused, sick, and alone, this sweet senior found himself fighting for his life when he was put on final notice for euthanasia. When Bichon Rescue Brigade stepped in to save him, he had a mass hanging from his belly, an upper respiratory infection, and the worn, painful teeth so many senior dogs quietly endure. Years of dental disease have left him in need of a thorough dental cleaning, and he will likely require multiple extractions to relieve his pain. Thankfully, Pete has already been examined by a veterinarian and is now being scheduled for surgery. Pete’s condition is fortunately not reflected in his personality - his joyful and goofy spirit makes it impossible not to fall in love with him. Despite everything he’s been through, Pete still believes people are worth trusting. Now he just needs your help. Your donation will go directly toward Pete’s surgery, dental care, diagnostics, medications, and recovery so he can finally live free from pain. After being abandoned in his senior years, Pete deserves more than a second chance—he deserves to know what it feels like to be truly loved and cared for. Please help Bichon Rescue Brigade give this wonderful boy the happy, healthy future he’s waited so patiently for. Every gift, no matter the size, brings Pete one step closer to healing and the fresh start he so deserves.

Help Sadie Get Her Second Surgery

Perryville, MO • Bichon Rescue Brigade

Sadie was found wandering alone through a cemetery before ending up at an overcrowded California shelter, where her future was heartbreakingly uncertain. With shelters overflowing, Sadie was at risk of euthanasia—not because she had given up, but because there simply wasn’t enough space and resources to give her the care she needed. When Bichon Rescue Brigade learned about her, they couldn’t let her story end there. After rescuing Sadie, the extent of her suffering became clear. She was carrying multiple ulcerated mammary masses—painful tumors that had been left untreated for far too long. Every day she waited, her condition became more uncomfortable and her risk of serious complications grew. Her veterinary team has already performed the first major surgery to remove the affected mammary chain, giving Sadie the relief she desperately needed. But her journey isn’t over yet. Because of the extent of the disease, Sadie must recover from this surgery before she can undergo a second operation to remove the remaining mammary masses. Staging the procedures gives her body the best chance to heal safely, but it also means additional veterinary care, medications, follow-up visits, and another major surgery still lie ahead. She’s recovering in a loving foster home through Bichon Rescue Brigade, where she’s surrounded by kindness and comfort instead of fear. After surviving life on the streets, facing euthanasia, and enduring painful untreated tumors, she’s finally able to rest while her body begins to heal. Now we need your help to finish what her rescuers started. Your donation will help cover Sadie’s remaining surgery and everything she needs to continue her recovery. Every dollar brings her one step closer to a life free from pain—and one step closer to finding the loving forever home she’s always deserved.

Help Sad Senior Shih Tzu Betsy Find Her Smile Again

Boca Raton, FL • Chesed Foundation Rescue

Betsy was a stray who found herself alone in a city animal shelter, frightened and vulnerable. Severely matted and struggling with limited vision and hearing, the shelter environment was especially overwhelming for this sweet senior girl. But when Chesed Foundation Rescue stepped in to give her a second chance, Betsy’s gentle spirit began to shine through. After she was safely out of the shelter and received the grooming care she desperately needed, her true condition became clearer. Beneath the mats was a sweet dog in need of medical attention, including treatment for an umbilical hernia and severe dental disease. Betsy is now safe in a foster home where she is receiving patience, comfort, and care as she adjusts to everything she has been through. While the transition has been difficult, everyone is hopeful that with time, healing, and support, Betsy’s loving personality will continue to emerge. Despite her challenging past, Betsy still has so much love to give. She deserves the chance to feel comfortable, healthy, and surrounded by the kindness and compassion she should have always known. Your support will help Chesed Foundation Rescue provide Betsy with the veterinary care she needs and give her the second chance she deserves. 8/8/26 Update: Betsy Had Her Surgery! Betsy had her dental surgery this week and it was a little more intensive than we anticipated. The doctors were able to repair her hernia at the same time. She is now back in her foster home, slowly recovering, and indulging in her new pastime, stealing shoes! Honestly, it is impossible to be mad at her- we're just so happy to see that she is getting some of her spunkiness back! We think that the surgery made a huge difference in how she was feeling and are thrilled that we were able to do this for her. She has many good years ahead of her and now she can really enjoy them! But now comes the part where we need to pay the bill. Betsy and all of us at Chesed Rescue would appreciate any donations; no amount is too small to help! Please help us pay for Betsy's surgery so we can go on to help more dogs in need!

Rascal

Rascal is a 9 year old Himalayan/Colorpoint Persian in New York, NY, who needs $14,201 for Surgical Liver Biopsy & Overnight Hospitalization.

New York, NY

My cat is an indoor-only pet and has been a cherished member of my family for several years. He lives with me in a safe, loving home where he receives regular food, veterinary care, and daily attention. He has always been affectionate, social, and an important source of comfort and companionship in my life. Recently, he began showing signs of illness, including loss of appetite, lethargy, and severe jaundice. After evaluation by our local veterinarian, additional testing revealed concerns about an underlying liver condition. Due to the severity of his symptoms, I was referred to BluePearl Animal Hospital for advanced diagnostics and a surgical liver biopsy to determine the cause and guide treatment. My cat is much more than a pet to me. He is my companion, my source of comfort, and a member of my family. He has always had a gentle, loving personality and enjoys being close to me throughout the day. Whether he's curling up next to me on the couch, following me from room to room, or greeting me when I come home, he always finds a way to make me feel loved. I am fully committed to his care and have been following all veterinary recommendations, including diagnostic testing, medications, and supportive care. The challenge is the significant cost of the specialized treatment and hospitalization he urgently needs.
