I got leo in 2021 as a baby and he has been my baby ever since. Leo is a 5 year old miniature dachshund. He is so full of life and has such an amazing personality! Leo was diagnosed with IVDD which is very common in his breed. In his case he started to limp. I took him to the vet and they didn’t see an urgent need to any type of MRI. Following a few weeks he began to lip stain and within hours he became paralyzed in his hind legs unable to move them. He was rush to the ER for emergency surgery. He had a herniated disc that was pushing on his spinal cord. I was prior military and got stationed away from my family, so it is just me and my 2 dog. My dogs are my family, my children, and I would do anything to save them. Leo surgery was very expensive. I could not pay eveything upfront so I had to do a care credit and put some on the cere credit and then the rest on a cried card. I just need some financial assistance in order to pay of his surgery.

Missy

Missy was puppy when I had gotten her from a cousin of mine. We’ve been together for two years come July 19th (her birthday). Missy lives with one other dog, Devin. They’ve been best of friends since. I gave Missy her name by calling out names to see which she responded to the best. She is a black lab, pitbull, and possibly mixed with more breeds. Missy has had a partial ACL tear in her back left leg, which healed fairly well. Last Sunday (06-08-2025), she had torn her ACL and her Meniscus on her right back leg. The veterinary said that Labs and Pitbulls are prone to ACL tears and since Missy is both, she is predisposed. The veterinary office is Modern Vet in Springfield Tennessee where they diagnosed Missy. Missy is simply my best friend. She’s always there to comfort me when I cry, she’s always there to make me laugh with how silly she is. She’s the sweetest dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She loves everyone she meets and she particularly loves to play with babies and children. Missy is very full of life and is the most precious thing to me. She’s my girl, and she’s everyone’s friend. I am only 20, I just started cosmetology schools and am full time student, currently am unemployed. It would mean the world to me for my best friend to not be in any pain. I don’t want to have to put her down while she’s so young and full of life.

Stubby

Stubby is a 8 year old Chihuahua in Bangor, ME, who needs $1,300 for Dental Surgery.

Stubby came into my life at the end of my grandfather's life. He was being trained as a service dog, and he continued his training and became my new service dog and servied as a full-time service dog for 5 years. He is now 98% retired, but still loves the days that he gets to go out and work, but doesn't mind being a couch potato either. He's the calmest sweetest Chihuahua you will ever meet. Stubby has 4+ teeth that need to be extracted, including some canine teeth. He saw the vet today 3/5/2025 at Penobscot Veterinary Services, LLC in Bangor, Maine, USA and they said that he will more than likely need 4 teeth removed and upwards of 8 teeth removed, but x-rays will determine just how many he needs removed. He has a really painful mouth right now and has a hard time chewing. Stubby is one of those dogs with a big personality, but is quiet and calm. you wouldn't know he's a Chihuahua he's so chill. He's willing to be picked up and held by anyone who is having a bad day, but he especially loves his momma. He's saved my life more times than I can count at this point as a service dog, and he deserves to be healthy. He's a bed hog through and through though. This is an unexpected major expense, he had a vet wellness check in November and his teeth were nothing like this. I just graduated in May 2024 and got a job as a Mental health therapist, and I just don't have the funds to pay for his vet bills right now.

I have had Bandit ever since she was born 2 years ago. She follows me around the house and she sleeps between my legs every single night. She is very sweet and loving. My fiance named her when she was born because of the dark circles around her eyes. She is spoiled rotten. When we got home from work we saw she had a very big and deep cut all the way down her back. When our neighbor started her car, she heard a cat scream and saw Bandit come from under the hood. She has gotten cut by the flywheel of her car. She's in a lot of pain and I do not want to lose her. We both have cried and want to get the help she needs but we are low on money and don't know what to do. She loves to be rubbed on her head and chin. She gives me kisses and gets up close to me when I cry. She is so loving and spoiled. She meow's when she wants outside and meow's when she wants back in. I have been unemployed for a few months due to taking care of my elder parents. My mom passed away September 28 and I found my dad dead November 22 of this year. Only 55 days apart and it has taken a huge toll on me and I don't want to lose my cat now

Stella is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Tampa , FL, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.

We rescued Stella in 2020. She was only 4lbs and had a lot of medical issues. One by one, we took care of them. She had a horrible sinus infection, random infections and illness due to malnutrition. In 2023 we noticed a mass on her abdomen. We rushed her to All Pet Care in Clearwater. We did a few tests, she was diagnosed with a UTI and sent home. In February of 2024, Stella’s mass became larger. We rushed to the vet where they had it biopsies. Nothing malignant or cancerous came up. We waited until after our wedding to have it removed. We sent it to pathology and told us it was cancer. Stella has greeted so many dogs and cats that we brought in to foster: She is always the first to greet, the first to purr, and the first to love on you. She completes this family, our family. Stella is only 5 years old. What kills us is due to the kind of cancer she has she has a high prevent chance of a 5 year survival rate if treatment is done completely. However, the treatment includes: surgery, radiation and maybe chemo.

Shady-Greyson came into the lives of my family and I during the difficult and sad time of the pandemic. I got him from a friend as a newborn just 3 weeks old. He was like a son in animal form to me. I bottle fed him, potty trained him, etc. Shady is the life of the family. My children love playing with him. He brings alkt of happiness to our home. His cute meows would have us in awe every time. My sweet, handome Shady- Greyson took my son as his favorite person. He would jump.on the couch and sit next to him and knead and pur. My son would be consumed by Shady's love evrytime. Shady-Greyson needs emergency care. He is in bad shape. I ran with him to VCA Knowles Central Animal Hospital and was told his kidney levels are elevated and he possibly has bladder issues. We are very shocked by this because Shady was not sick. He was not himself for the past few days and then out of nowhere he has all these issues. I am sad and emotional. Unfortunately, I am not able to pay Shady's bill at this time since I am currently unemployed. I need help to save Shady's life. It would mean the world to me and my children if someone could help us save him. 🙏

Barry came into my life two months ago, I got him from a breeder in Springfield, IL. I kept the name, Barry because I thought it fit him very well and I love when dogs have human names. He has 3 cat sisters who he loves to antagonize and play with. I take him with me to anywhere that lets him in. He loves anyone and everyone who stops to give him attention, and he smothers them with kisses. At home Barry was very active and lively. Until his recent accident when he jumped out of my arms, breaking his arm. My neighbor has an American Bulldog who loves to play with Barry between the gate and they run back and forth together. He loves to go on walks, bringing me huge leaves and sticks that are usually bigger than he is. He is smart and learns quick with the tricks I have taught him. He is spunky and loving, the first time I picked him up I knew he was mine. He is so funny and energetic, he chases his tail, when he goes outside, he plays fetch, and he runs so fast that he does a somersault when he tries to get his toy. He loves to go on car rides, when I start singing a song, he sings along with me, and it makes my heart melt. Yesterday, he jumped out of my arms, landing on his left arm, breaking it in two places. Upon examination, it was determined that he fractured his radius & ulna bones. He needs emergency surgery. I am distraught over seeing him in so much pain and not his usual happy self. Any help is greatly appreciated. Im a full-time nursing student at SIUE, working a part time job on a fixed income. The surgery is estimated @ $4200 with about $800 follow-up fees. I applied for care credit and got approved for half of that amount. I have $500 saved to use, but am in desperate need of help.

Valen is a 7.5 week old crossbreed that has been a part of our family since she was born. We know both parents, and the breeder is a good friend we have known for years. When she announced her Shepard was pregnant, we knew we wanted a puppy! Once the litter was born, we started visiting several times a week and we really got to know the bold and lovable puppy that would be coming home with us. When Valen was 7 weeks old, she started struggling. After discussing it with the breeder, we decided the best plan would be to take her out of the large litter and take her home for more specialized care. We slept on the living room floor for almost a week, snuggling, feeding and caring for Valen around the clock. Connor first took some time to even want a puppy, but she quickly became 'his' dog. Valen was the pick of the litter and everyone who visited the puppies were drawn to her bold, curious attitude and beautiful color. She is always the first to greet new friends and was first to explore outside the puppy pen, even climbing the stairs to howl at the breeders bedroom at night when she was only a few weeks old! She loves to play with our older dog Dale and is gentle with the 18y/o cat On 3/20 Valen started to not feel well. A quick trip to the ER showed nothing glaringly wrong. All week she continued to lose weight and sleep more. We celebrated every bite of kibble she ate but then she started to refuse all food. Another 2 trips to the vet and an exploratory surgery found her intestines dying. Being so thin and weak made surgery risky but she is a fighter! Connor and I are getting married in under 2 months. Valen came at the perfect time to symbolize our union in marriage, she even already has a role in the upcoming ceremony! But other pet medical bills and paying for a wedding means our budget is already tight.
