After becoming seriously ill, Peanut was hospitalized at UC Davis Veterinary Hospital while doctors tried to determine what was wrong with her liver. She underwent extensive testing, but unfortunately, those diagnostics were inconclusive. We still don't have the answers we desperately need. And Peanut isn't giving up. She is a little fighter. She eats voraciously, she still has that spark in her, and she is telling us every day that she wants to keep going. But her liver remains seriously compromised, and we cannot properly treat her until we understand why. Peanut now needs additional specialized diagnostics. There is also a possibility that doctors will need to perform a liver biopsy, which would mean another hospital stay and an estimated $8,600 in additional veterinary costs. We have come too far with this little girl to stop searching for answers now. Peanut doesn't know what an $8,600 hospital bill is. Three years after being adopted, Clover suddenly came back into the care of Rags to Riches Animal Rescue in heartbreaking condition. A member of the community found Clover outside, overheated, exhausted, severely overweight at approximately 130 pounds, and struggling to walk or urinate. They rushed her to an emergency hospital nearly three hours from the rescue. Despite repeated attempts to contact her adopter, the rescue received no response. The moment they learned Clover needed help, they stepped back in and took responsibility for her care. Clover's emergency veterinary bill quickly reached almost $5,000, and she was still facing several serious concerns. She was leaking urine almost constantly, passing blood, extremely wobbly on her feet, and suffering from a severe ear infection. At one point, her condition was so concerning that her rescue feared they could be faced with a heartbreaking quality of life decision. Thankfully, Clover's recent veterinary visit brought some much needed hope. She is being treated with antibiotics for infections affecting her urinary tract and ear, and her ear has been cleaned and flushed. She is eating, drinking, able to stand, and her walking has begun to improve, although she remains very wobbly. Veterinarians also noted that her knees are buckling, and her significant excess weight may be contributing to some of her mobility problems. Clover is still leaking urine and passing some blood, and her veterinary team will need to see how she responds once her infections are under control before they can determine what additional care she may need. Funds raised through this campaign will help Rags to Riches Animal Rescue cover Clover's emergency veterinary expenses and continued care as she fights her infections, works on her mobility, and begins the journey toward feeling like herself again. My sweet Willow Bean is a rescue baby that we have tried to take good care of for the last ten years. Bean because she gets jealous of anyone getting attention besides her. She loves her three sisters and her mommy and daddy, her grandma's and running around at the dog park. She has slowed down a little but not her enthusiasm for kiss battles or playing with toys around the house. We love her! Willow was diagnosed with diabetes this summer and has been getting Insulin shots twice a day since. We took her to lur regular vet this morning and it was recommended that she enter the Standiford emergency vet hospital for diabetic keto acidosis. They are going to try and get her keytones down. 80% chance of pulling through with treatment. We put down a $5k deposit to get her one night treatment Willow is a sweet girl who deserves a chance to finish out the rest of her time naturally with her sister's and mommy and daddy. She was in a kill shelter when we adopted her as our third rescue. Please help if you can. We have a care credit deposit to get her one night of care. Kitty has been a part of my family since he was a kitten. He is my best friend and I don’t know what I would do without him. He is the best cat who is very sweet and has been so much help in what life has dealt me. Through my depression and hardships and struggles with my health he was there understanding my pain and bringing me comfort and loyalty. On my worse days he understood that something was wrong and would come up to me with concern and just lay with me bringing me peace in my darkest days. I owe it to him to try to help him. I honestly don’t know what I would do without him. Few weeks ago kitty ate some plastic and after googling it I was informed not to try to pull on it the next day it was gone so I assumed he had pulled it out hisself. Well now we are at a point where he has been throwing up everyday and can’t pass stool I believe he may have a blockage. Kitty is special because he has a keen sense of knowing someone is not feeling well and he tries to bring comfort in those times. I have owned cats all my life but there is something special about this one. He choose me from the start and I never knew what that would mean until few years later once I started having health issues. I realized why this cat was put in my life. On my days where I had no one I had him by my side and I don’t know what I would do without him. I became disabled and now have a limited income and can barely afford my bills with what I’m bringing in now. So no savings and nothing left each month. Mandee was 7.5 when we were united in 2019, following the passing of my 13.5 yr old min pin named Little. At 13, she is very playful and loves (destroying) squeaker-toys. When she isn't planning her next attempt at manipulating me for treats she's busy stealing and taunting me with my own socks. She may be on a wanted fugitive list somewhere as a notorious thief! Dr. Kaitlyn Evans, DVM at VCA Edgewood Animal discovered a 1cm mammary mass during Mandee's annual exam, and cytology indicates the high likelihood of a malignant mammary tumor. Dr. Evans explained the importance of making treatment decisions quickly, as mammary tumors can rapidly spread. She recommended starting with chest radiographs to evaluate for metastasis prior to surgical intervention. I was wrecked when I lost Little in 2019. Little was also a min pin, she was also named Mandy before her rebranding and both had belonged to the same person before me. Their similarities end there, though! Mandee could sense my loss and grief when we met and is very emotionally intuitive. Now she needs me more than ever to be proactive and determined to give her the best care possible. I earn just enough income to pay my bills and provide for Mandee's day-to-day needs. So when I'm hit with an emergency expense I have to scrape and scramble for help and loans from friends. I'm currently repaying on three loans from friends for a recent trip to the ER with Mandee.

Hello this Gotti he is a 5 month old Cane Corso puppy who is a sweet, loving, and giant good ball. my spouse and I decided that we wanted to get a puppy and when we came across him we knew he weather perfect fit. As soon as he got home he was attached to my hip he loves to follow me everywhere, chase bugs, nap and do tricks. Unfortunately on September 4, 2026 we notice he had a fluid filled lump on his neck so we took him to the vet to see what it was they drained it and thought it was a hematoma caused by rough playing. From that point on it keep refilling after getting drained two more times. he just had surgery on 9/11/2026 which they removed a mass that we have no idea what it is or how it came about. Gotti is such a fun loving puppy who makes anyone melt when he walks into a room. Between him coming up to you for kisses and pets. He loves to make sure everyone that is around him is feeling okay. He is more than a companion to me, he is more of my child in my eyes. He has helped me in my recovery journey while dealing surgery on my hand. He has brought joy to my life that I never knew was there We would really appreciate the help with being able to afford to send the tissue sample out from his surgery to the lab to discover what this lump possibly was since most of the vets we have seen have never seen something like this in a puppy.

Hello, my kitty’s name is Polly! I found her on the side of the road when she was about 3 weeks old, from there my family and I took her in. She’s an incredibly furry and playful kitty, she’s full of life and loves everyone around her unconditionally. She has a huge playful personality and “sneakily” attacks you, she loves spending time with everyone and is a love ball. Today she fell from a very high place and got an injury to what we believe to be her leg/hip. It could be a fracture, displacement or a broken bone. We aren’t able to know was the x-ray and treatment is very expensive and we can’t afford it at the moment as we recently took her to the vet from a blood infection she had. It’s heartbreaking to we can’t help aside the pain relief meds. My family is going through struggles and this kitty has brought a light to our lives, she’s now my other cats companion and best friend. When anyone is down she’s always there and never fails to show up, she’s not even a human and does more for us than people in our family do! Please help us raise some money to afford her treatment. Her life matters to us and we don’t want to give her up. We are currently struggling financially, work is low and due to current personal problems we have we are unable to spend more money on her vet costs. We are in severe debt and no loan programs accept us and we are desperate for help. His name is French Fry, he is a male dog, one and a half years old, whom we adopted when he was six months old. He has a truly gentle temperament and is enthusiastic toward everyone—a very lively and affectionate dog. Thanks to his companionship, my young brother feels less lonely, and our lives have become much more colorful since his arrival. He suffered a ruptured urethra following a car accident, after emergency treatment, severe scar tissue formed at the site of the rupture, resulting in a complete urethral blockage. Urethral surgery is required to permanently resolve his urinary issues. The Animal Surgical Center proposed a scrotal urethrostomy procedure for us. As new immigrants, my 14-year-old brother felt lonely and emotionally weighed down in this environment. The arrival of the puppy greatly improved his well-being and made us all cherish life even more. I suffered a comminuted knee fracture in a car accident, prevents strenuous physical labor. I only received my work permit last month. Surgery would restore his health, and given his youth and long life ahead, we really do not want to give up on him.
