Benny’s parents are certified therapy dogs I met while working in the ICU. He was raised in a calm, structured environment and now lives indoors with regular exercise, routine care, and a stable daily schedule. He enjoys daycare while I am working so he is never left alone or bored. I have been with Benny for 11 months now. Benny’s pneumonia has spread to both lungs, significantly impairing his breathing. He is currently in critical condition under intensive veterinary care, receiving oxygen support, medications, and close monitoring. Benny is special because of his deep emotional awareness and gentle soul. He is loving, loyal, and incredibly intuitive, always staying close to family members, offering comfort through quiet presence, soft nudges, and unwavering companionship during both joyful and difficult moments. My pet came into my life as a gift, at a time when we both needed a second chance. From the moment we met, there was an instant connection. We’ve been together for several years now, and in that time, she has become more than a pet truly family. There are no other pets in the household, which has allowed us to build a very close bond. Is not a simple or easily treated condition. What we are facing is a serious medical situation that requires immediate attention and ongoing care. While we are doing everything possible, this is not something that can be resolved with a single treatment or medication. Right now, the situation is urgent. My pet needs prompt medical intervention to stabilize her condition. She has a gentle but expressive personality, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with her. She has a few favorite people she feels especially safe with, and once she trusts you, her affection is endless. Around other animals, she’s calm and curious, often preferring companionship over rough play. Life has thrown some unexpected challenges my way. I recently lost my job, went through a divorce, and was faced with other unforeseen circumstances that have made it difficult to manage unexpected expenses. Through all of this, my pet has been my constant companion.

Flossie was chosen for my by my sister. Her mother had been hit by and car and passed away when she was two week old. We had to bottle feed her. I carried her everywhere with me. When she was scared I crawled in her cage and slept with her. She was instrumental in helping me emotionally when my mom passed away. She has the best personality and disposition. She loves belly rubs and kisses. Flossie goes to Animal Care clinic in Rural Hall NC. They had determined that her left knee cap is out of place permanently. The ACL and ligaments are damaged. Her right knee cap pops in and out and has ligament and ACL damage as well. She is on a pain management regiment. The vet stated that she would be in so much pain within a year, she would need to be put down without surgery. Flossie is such a lover. She wakes me up in the middle of the night just to love on her. SHe whines when you stop petting her. She loves to play, but is in alot of pain so she is slowed down. She loves to lick you, She loves belly rubs, treats, sitting in the sun. She loves playing in the leaves in the fall., She is only 4 and it is heartbreaking to know that she has to suffer! I have no emergency fund. I got sick over a year ago and was out of work, the day to day bills had to be put on credit cards. As you can imagine my credit is not good. I cannot afford an extra bill nor do I quality for any credit programs.

Rex joined our family after we adopted him from our local Humane Society in February 2025. He lives in a loving home with one canine sister, two human brothers, and me. Rex is a well-cared-for family dog who is deeply loved. We all live together in a small but very happy home. He loves long walks, socializing at the dog park, going on hikes, and playing with my young children. Rex is a healthy dog with no prior medical conditions. He was struck by a vehicle on the morning of 01/22/26, around 8:15 a.m., and the driver did not stop. Rex sustained 3 traumatic wounds, each extending down to the bone. He is currently under veterinary care and will require bed rest for about two months during recovery. He needed a chest x-ray and sutures for the wounds on his hind legs. Rex is a deeply loved member of our family. He has a playful, gentle temperament and is especially bonded with my seven-year-old son, who has autism. Rex provides comfort, companionship, and emotional support to our household. This incident has been extremely difficult for our entire family. I work through In-Home Supportive Services as an aide for my son, who has autism, and I am currently enrolled in school. Rex’s injuries created an unexpected medical expense that we are struggling to manage. Having Rex healthy again would mean stability, comfort, and healing

We adopted Fae in Jan 2025 when our local humane society was doing events to help find pitbull/pitbull mixes homes due to over capacity. Our home was busy, still in chaos from beginning Kindergarten, High School and a cancer journey. It was busy, but we had just a small spot for someone special. Fae and my gold retriever Finn hit it off. Fae was destined for our home from minute 1. Fae is currently at VSS in St. Louis, MO. My teenage son failed to secure his medication bottles in his cabinet. This turned into a terrifying emergency as Fae like chewing things and our cat loves to just knock down anything for her to destroy. My partner left to get some milk and propane before the incoming 1 ft+ snow storm. In just 23 minutes our home was in crisis. Fae is the baby sister to Finn and Diesel - my partner's dog who joined our family just 3 months ago. She is always instigating wrestling matches, has the biggest baby eyes that could get her out of any trouble. No longer needing anxiety medication we over came car fears, nights crying and big boomer fireworks. She can make trips to the dog park and now go on hikes! This was not planned. I've been on myself trying to budget in pet insurance for all our animals. I didn't move fast enough. With one adult struggling to find work and a mom just trying to navigate divorce and recover from a child's cancer fight, We just need our Fae Fae home

Paesh lives with me, her spare human along with her older brother and litter mate and her mother. She is a very active pup! She loves to go on hikes with us and gets the zoomies daily. She is being taken care of out of Mountain View Veterinary Clinic in Mount Vernon, WA. She is scheduled to have an orthopedic surgery (tarsal arthrodesis) on 2/4/26 if I can raise the funds to fix her dislocated heel. If I am unable to raise funds, she will have to continue to live in a brace and be dependent on pain medication. She was a COVID puppy so our bond became incredibly strong while we were home together during that time. She follows me everywhere like a little long-haired shadow. Rarely is she not by my side or watching me from across the room. I am her person, and not being able to fix this for her is breaking my heart. I am incredibly low income and the sudden expense of her injury is not something I can come up with alone. Living permanently in a brace or amputating her leg due to cost would greatly affect her quality of life and put additional strain on the rest of her body as she ages.

My daughter adopted Luna from the Humane Society because she was so cute and loving. Luna comes from a breed that requires a lot of activity to keep her busy. Unfortunately because use of work and schedules she was not getting that. They kept asking me to take her, because I had lost my two dogs. I truly could not afford to but they brought her and now she is truly an awesome companion! Luna’s love of running at hyper speed has gotten her torn up joints in both legs. She has seen a surgeon at the Veterinary Specialty Services in Manchester Missouri and she needs help. At this point she can hardly walk. Luna is always so excited to see her family and the little girl Emily that lives behind us. Luna watches to see if she outside and wants to go play. Everyone who meets Luna talks with her and comments on how sweet she is. She has balls all over my house and wants to play until now, she can’t hardly walk. Lina needs surgery as soon as possible. I have made an appointment for on February 17, 2026 now I need to raise the money to help her. It brakes my heart to see her this way, she is to young and to playful and loving to be in so much pain.

Diego typically lives with me full-time in Denver, CO and is deeply integrated into my daily life. In the last 2 years he's also spent extended time with my newly retired dad in New York - where he enjoys summer at the Jersey Shore and a few weeks in my Dad's home with a yard. Between Denver open spaces, creek walks, and quiet evenings at home, Diego lives a stable, active, and well-loved life. Diego is being treated at Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) of White Plains, after imaging revealed a large mass on his spleen that is causing internal bleeding. This is a medical emergency. The recommended treatment is an urgent splenectomy, along with diagnostics and hospitalization. This is not a chronic condition, but an acute, life-threatening emergency requiring immediate intervention. Diego—often called “Mr. Bean” for his silly, gentle personality—is deeply intuitive and bonded to his people. He has moved across the country with me and serves as my emotional support animal. He loves creek walks, open spaces, and ocean air, and he also provides companionship and comfort to my retired dad during long stretches together. I work in public health as a CDC contractor, a role I chose because I deeply care about population health. Despite careful planning, the sudden cost of Diego’s emergency surgery—over $12,000—is more than I can manage alone. Support will help me give him the care he needs!
