Mac

Mac is a 6 month old Yorkshire Terrier in Keysville, GA, who needs $2,000 for Plate and/or Pins.

Keysville, GA

This is my baby boy Mac. He is a pure bred Yorkshire Terrier but he is known as a party Yorkie because of his coloring. I have an older retired breeder that we took in 2 years ago named Roni that has bad separation anxiety. I was hoping by getting another dog he would have someone to spend his day with and be his best friend other than just me. Turns out now I have two of the absolute best friends and cuddle buddies! Mac and Roni have become the best friends and it hurts me to see the way this has affected them playing. Mac was playing with my daughter on her bed when he jumped out of her arms onto her coloring book where her highlighter was. This caused his arm to roll and it snapped his elbow. Mac is a 6 month old yorkie with a humeral condylar fracture that needs be repaired by a specialist,Dr. Suber, at Capital Animal Hospital in Columbia South Carolina. His appointment is Monday April 8th and I believe he will have surgery the next morning. The surgery is expected to cost anywhere from $3,000 to $3,600. Mac is the absolute best friend of my older Yorkie named Roni. We keep joking saying we need a third name cheese! I have never met small dogs that are this amazing and calm when they are in a carrier. I can bring them anywhere I want and no one even knows they are there. They never bark or won no matter how long they had been in their carrier they just want to be with me. They refuse to ride separately they have to be in the same one. Mac is amazing for only being 6 months old he is really gentle with my 1-year-old nephew even when he pulls his hair. He is just the sweetest most amazing puppy even though I swear his puppy kibble must react to him like expresso beans sometimes which is how he has earned the nickname Mac the crack attack! This just hit us out of nowhere when we had nothing saved up. What I did have saved I had used to gift someone else. We have a daughter in college and we have just fixed my car when this happened. This just falls at a time when my clientele is at a low point due to the economy and sickness. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oakley

Oakley is a 3-year-old Pitbull Mix in Omaha, NE, who needs $2,000 for Right and left TPLO and DFO.

Omaha, NE

We rescued Oakley about 3 years go when he was just a little pup. We had never own a pit (mix) before but we just knew he was right for our family. Our, now, 7 year old daughter who is the BIGGEST pet lover came up with his name. Oakley is true the best and sweetest boy you will ever meet. His bond he has with our daughter is unreal. Can’t find Oakley? Go look on her bed and find him all cozied up When we got Oakley, we also had our German shepherd Nikita. She was an older lady and wasn’t too sure about oaks at first, but with his spunky and loving personality it wasn’t long before they were best buds. We then added a Great Dane to the family as Nikita passed shortly after, and her and our Great Dane,Piper, are now two peas in a pod. Oaks just wants to give all the kisses he can to everyone Oakley is just the best. There is no other like him. Most people have a stigma around pits and think they are these mean dogs waiting to attack. We had a 5 and 2 year old at the time we rescued him, he has never once showed any sign of anything other then pure love to our children, us, others, and all the animals in our home and that he has ever come in contact with. He’s the sweetest of boys! When we rescued Oaks, you always rescue with the reminder that there is unknown. He was the sweetest and fit so perfect in our family, so we knew and took on the chances of the unknown. Oakley has always been bowlegged and we have never had a dog who was. Turns out he’s pretty badly bowlegged which has cause both knee caps to be dislocated and the right legs ACL has torn. This requires surgery When we got the knees of oakleys torn ACL we knew it was going to be a couple thousand of dollars. To our surprise there was more going on with not just the one leg but BOTH legs that require surgery. This is going to cost upwards of 7k per leg.

Ducky

Ducky is a 4-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Lab mix in Jackson , MI, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.

Jackson, MI

My precious Ducky was adopted from the Huron Valley Humane Society 4 years ago. She was the missing piece to our family! She earned her name within minutes of being home, diving head first into her water dish and splashing around, soaking the entire kitchen. I immediately knew: She's a Duck! Since then, she has proven her name over and over. Ducky loves her swimming pool, her cow toy, her sister and her mom. She is definitely a mama's girl! She follows me wherever I go and expresses her love by placing her paw on my hand. She loves to snuggle and thinks she is a 73 pound lap dog. She is a couch hog, loves playing tug of war, and her favorite time of day is morning, when I finally wake up to pay attention to her. Ducky is such a special girl. Watching her run in circles, chasing her sister, Reese, has always brought me such joy. Seeing her wildly bounce around the yard makes me laugh and she is so vocal! She's always telling you exactly how she feels! Since her injury she has not been able to play and run like she did before. I miss seeing her enthusiasm for life. I can't wait until that spirit returns. Ducky has been diagnosed with a torn CCL. The only way to fix it is through surgery. Being prone to CCL injuries is a genetic condition. Because of this, she has torn the ligaments in both of her knees. The left knee will be fixed first, then the right will need to be done about 6 months later. The cost of this surgery is already hard to swallow. The fact that we will need to come up with the money twice makes it seem so out of reach. This surgery will allow Ducky to live a long and pain free life. My sweet, precious girl deserves that chance!

Theodore

Theodore is a 15-year-old Flame Point Siamese Cat in Seattle, WA, who needs $1,750 for I-131 Treatment/Radioiodine Therapy.

Seattle, WA

I was gifted Theodore as a Christmas gift from my mother in 2007. Alvin and the Chipmunks had just come out and my favorite out of the three was Theodore so it was only right that was his name. He's been one of the only constant things in my life. He previously had a few malignant tumors removed this year and curing his hyperthyroidism is the last step for him to have a good bill of health. Theodore is a well-loved sassy little boy. He loves to sleep in his brother's( Jasper, a black lab) bed which is a similar color to Theodore's fur. He absolutely has to sleep on something that he can camouflage into. He's never been much into toys aside from when he was a kitten but he loves to watch Jasper play with his toys. Theodore definitely supervises our home. Theodore is the absolute best. Theodore is an avid communicator. He loves on everyone he meets, we haven't met a vet that hasn't fallen in love with him. He always knows when I'm recording him and will give the camera a sassy look. He is the king of the castle for sure. I have no need for an alarm he gets me up at a prompt 6:13 am for his daily feeding. He joins his doggy brother on an occasional car ride for a puppaccino. As I mentioned prior, he had surgery to remove 3 malignant tumors this past year. He had lost a lot of weight, which was the first step to returning to his usual self. since then I've changed his diet to a raw one, that my mother or I make every few weeks. He's currently on medication to help with the hyperthyroidism but his T4 levels are really high, and he's not retaining enough muscle mass. I am 22 years old, providing for myself. I have been able to take care of his vet bills so far, including medication and surgery. I'm asking for help because I'm going back to school and I want to expedite his treatment. I don't want him to suffer while I save up the $2000.

Moose

Moose is a 13-year-old Dachshund in Enumclaw, WY, who needs $1,900 for Canine Extractions.

Enumclaw, WA

Moose was rescued from an abusive situation on 12/24/2014, brought him to his forever home. He lives in a fenced in, 3 bedroom non smoking home. Gets half hour walks when he tolerates them due to his pancreatitis. Has a toy box of chew toys and sleeps with myself or my daughter. Gets fed twice a day. Due to his teeth we had to switch his food from hard to wet food. Mooses favorite person is my daughter Hailey, follows her every where she goes. He hates to be alone so if we go anywhere Moose goes with us. Moose has his own bed but will sleep with either myself or Hailey, prefers to be under the covers behind your knees. He's potty trained and is great at letting you know when he has to go outside, when he comes in he wants his treat for going potty. I love to see him smile when he's sleeping. He's very good when it comes to meals and will stay in his kennel until you tell him to come. He loves to play with toys that have a squeaky noise in them, and will do what he must to destroy it. He is always happy to see you when you come home. Moose always knows when I'm hurting and lays right on my pain. He helps me more than he knows. Moose was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis, and the vet said that he needed to have four to eight teeth removed. His veterinarian would like to give his teeth a deep cleaning put him under anesthesia and pull those four to eight teeth. They have already done all the blood work that is necessary for the procedure. I am a single mom of 2 girls, one of them is on the autism spectrum with special needs, I have been unemployed since September of 2022 and I feel so horrible that my boy moose is in pain and can't provide the proper vet care for him, He's cries in pain. It breaks my heart.

Photo of Benji

Benji

Benji is a 2-year-old Beagle/Pincher Mix in Carson, CA, who needs $1,850 for Hemilaminectomy - Thoracolumbar.

Carson, CA

We rescued Benji from a family friend who was moving away from the area. He is only 2 yrs old, but has been characterized by his long legs, his sweet face, and his playful personality. He LOVES to run, jump, and play fetch, so this shifted disk induced hind leg paralysis was earth shaking for our little Benji. We humbly ask that you contribute to his care by donating money towards his 10k surgery. Benji is so sweet. He plays so well with his big brother Chestnut (our other rescue) and loves to play fetch with the whole family. He keeps us active by pleading for play with big eyes and a persistent tail wag. He is a good boy! Everyone who knows Benji loves him like their own. He sleeps right next to Chestnut and always wants to be around us. Benji is special because he has added to our family at JUST the right time. We have been looking for a new family member and when we had the opportunity to add him to the mix, we were elated. It’s devastating that he woke up today (3/3/22) with no control of his lower half:( He is still being so strong even though he’s very confused about what is happening in his little body. This surgery is not “affordable” but it is necessary. We love Benji and we intend to take care of him the best way we can, but it takes a village! This is Benji’s first (& prayerfully last) medical surgery. He is only 2 years old, so you can imagine how scary this might be for him. The veterinarian center has ran tests for that revealed a slipped disk pinching his spinal chord. This was an unprecedented and devastating discovery. We were not prepared for this financially or emotionally, which is why we hope to find support here on this platform. It would mean SO much to us if you could support us in trying to give Benji the best quality of life!

Leo

Leo is a 7-year-old Maine Coon / Tabby Mix in Portland, OR, who needs $1,431 for Dental.

Portland, OR

Leo is a rescue (who saved who?) I found as a kitten at Cat Depot in Sarasota, Fl. He is now 7+ years old and we live in Portland, Oregon with his little buddy Luna, my other cat. Leo just had his senior panel done and we found he needs to have a couple (if not more) teeth extracted. After having to put down Leilu (our third cat) just last week due to kidney failure, money is low. Leo is amazing and is a soul mate for his little buddy Luna. We used to have three cats up until last week. Now there are two. Leilu was our third cat and was dying of kidney disease. We had to put her down last week. Finances are super tight and I am at a loss on how to cover Leo’s upcoming surgery and Luna who needs to be checked out after him. I’m looking at over $1500 for Leo alone. I haven’t worked in almost 2 months, I have been in the process of moving away from a toxic situation in New Orleans. After having just moved, having had to deal with Leilu’s recent passing and expenses, it’s pertinent we find help. Leo is a relatively healthy cat (knocks on wood) however he has teeth that are going on him:( he needs help and we need financial aid desperately. Leilu cost over $3000 just last year and I can’t afford that this year with Leo costing over $1500 + and Luna costing however much her future appointment(s) will be. I am usually on the other side of these fundraisers and truly anything helps 💗 Leo is a talker, he is a listener, a pouncer, a flouncer, a lover, a kitten, a puppy-cat, a magician, a companion, a champion, a friend, a family man, a dear soul, a fluffy muffin, a cutesy-pie, a lil turnip, a cupcake, my loviest of cats. My best friend. Leo is everything to me and more. He makes me smile every day of my life.

Roxy

Roxy is a 3-year-old Rottweiler in Monroe who needs $1,500 for ACL Surgery.

Monroe

My son and I got our girl Roxy 3 years ago. I decided to get a dog to help my son with some of his emotional and behavioral needs. It was instantaneous bond between Roxy and my son. We also have our fluffy cat king. Roxy and King are best buddies. I’m a single Mother working hard to give my son and fur babies the best life possible. Roxy is a big 110lb baby!! She sleeps with me in the bed every night. She is such an affectionate dog. She and I would always go on an evening jog after I get home from work each evening. Roxy love to play soccer every evening in our yard and is excellent at blocking the ball lol. The hardest thing now that she tore her ACL is that her activity has to be limited. My Roxy is special and puts a smile on my face when she’s snuggling with me on the bed. Roxy loves to have someone pet her or just have the touch of you on her. I could be petting Roxy for 20 minutes and she has fell asleep snoring, but as soon as I take my hand off of her she pops up and will take her head and almost make me start petting her again. I can’t resist those big brown eyes! Roxy has to have ACL surgery on her right hind leg. She has been on pain medication and mild sedatives to help with her pain and try to limit her natural high energy level. I’m a single Mom just making end meet every month. I try to work extra hours whenever the opportunity comes up at my job. Unfortunately I didn’t have a large amount of savings. I had to use most of my savings to get the procedure done to find out why she was limping.

Shadow

Shadow is a 6 year old American Shorthair in Egg Harbor City, NJ, who needs $1,784 for Urinary Unblock, Kidney Flush, Hospital Stay.

Egg Harbor City, NJ

Hello everyone, in Oct 2020 while unloading groceries from our car we heard what sounded like kittens crying and we found a litter of 4 very young babies under the porch of a vacant house next to ours. We waited for hours to see if the mother would come back and she never did so we brought them home and took them to the vet to get checked out and cared for, we kept Shadow and the rest were adopted It happened so fast as he was fine at bedtime and then we noticed him vomiting and over a few hours he vomited multiple times and was very sluggish and getting lethargic. We took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with a urinary blockage, they stabilized him but his kidney lab work was at dangerous levels requiring hospital stay and kidney flushing and a catheter. He has been so healthy until now Shadow is the absolute sweetest friendliest boy we've ever seen in a cat, he loves to hug us at night in bed or cuddle up next to us on the couch, he was meant for us to find him 5 years ago and has been such a joy ever since. From his mischievous ways while running through the house to how vocal he is to the way he shows how much he loves us, and we adore him and love him like a child not a pet. My husband career ended early from severe medical problems which devastated our finances and we used everything we had to get treatment started but it's not enough and we are devastated we need help to get him healthy and our sweet boy back home to us. Thank you all so much
