Emma belonged to my best friend and love of my life who passed last year from sarcoma cancer. He begged me me not to split up his dogs so I brought them home, with my disabled mom and my now 5 year old daughter. I'm a single working mom, the three of us are living off my income and my mother's disability. Emma and her sister integrated into my existing pack of 3. Emma has been diagnosed with sarcomas for sure possible osteosarcomas, the same thing that took her human dad away from us. I spent all of August trying to find a vet that would remove the tumors and all of September getting her through the surgery and Recovery. Now we've met with Southern Colorado veterinary internal medicine and oncology and they believe she has one more and needs chemo too. Emma's favorite people right now are myself and my daughter with my mom taking the third spot. However she loves her first sister that came home with her and loves the rest of the pack. She's even gotten to the point where she decides she loves the cats. I'm still recovering from my divorce that finalized in 2024. It cost me over $25,000 that I'm still attempting to pay off. I promised my best friend that I would take care of his dogs and have incurred costs up to the same amount. We're struggling to keep the lights on.

Bodie was a gift from my mom after I lost my senior dog. I met the breeder in another state and when he brought him to me he said I hope you have a crate for him he doesn't do well in cars. I took him and he looked at me and wagged his tail and kissed me on the nose. We rode 8 hours home with him snuggled in my lap and he did really well. He became my love and my constant companion. Bodie sleeps with me every night. He loves his big black and white pitbull girlfriend! He's always giving her kisses. Bodie is an unusual Chihuahua. He doesn't bark much and loves everyone. He loves his treats! He still has his puppy demeanor and is such a happy little guy. He will greet everyone at the door with a waggy tail. I'm on a fixed income and I paid everything I had but there is still a balance owing that I need to pay. There was no way I wasn't going to let him have the surgery. He's my baby and my companion and has been registered as my service dog. Bodie was attacked by a dog and I had to ride to the emergency vets with his little eye hanging by a thread. He had to have emergency surgery to remove it. We were lucky Dr. Mancuso the eye specialist was still in the office. He was treated at Animal Eye Care of the Peninsula. She was such a warm caring vet. Bodies favorite thing is to snuggle with me or his pitbull girlfriend. Lol. He has become my service dog as well. We have been through a lot in our time together. As well as traveling from coast to coast. Bodie has been on a train plane bus boat ferry as well as many miles in a car. He talks to me with eyes and eyebrows. He wakes me up whit nose boops and kisses.

Kobe lives with me at my apartment, I adopted him when covid first started from a family that didn’t want him anymore. He’s been part of my family since April 1st 2020. He’s lives a very happy life and is always happy. He’s great with everyone that I introduce him too! He’s a healthy dog who overcomes anything. It’s just Kobe and I in the household, we live in Los Angeles with each other. He’s my only family. His interactions with me are always the best, from jumping in excitement when I walk in the door as if he hasn’t seen me in years to being my snuggle body while we watch movies on the weekends. He’s my best friend. With everything happening in the world and being part time at my job, it’s very hard to be able to pay off all these hospitals bill. I love my dog so much I can’t imagine life without him. I refuse to have him suffer any longer. My dog is an adventurous dog who loves sometimes chews off a bit more than he can bit, he loves going to the park and running around and sometimes tends to get in between bigger dogs legs. Sadly this time he wasn’t as lucky and we didn’t realize til nighttime when he started limping out of nowhere took him to the emergency room to found out he has a fractured femor and tibia. My dog is special because he came into my life at a very dark time, when I was dealing with depression and being alone he’s stood by me always. He’s loving and funny and cute and always knows how to make me happy. He’s the most amazing dog in the world, I really wish It was me instead of him who was in this pain.

When Flying Pigs Sanctuary set the trap, they thought Sampson was just another feral cat who needed to be neutered and returned. But the moment they got him into their hands, they knew something wasn't right. He had a large, painful wound on his leg. His body was worn down from years of surviving outside. His eyes told the story of an old soul who had simply run out of strength. Then came the test results. FIV Positive. In that moment, everything changed. Returning Samson to the streets was no longer an option. The funny thing was... he didn't act like a feral cat at all. Whether he had once belonged to someone or whether life on the streets had simply defeated him, Sampson quietly accepted gentle touches. It was as if, after all those years, he had finally decided to trust someone enough to ask for help. Thankfully, one of their incredible volunteers and foster moms fell in love with him and opened her home, her heart, and her wallet. For weeks, she cared for him through painful wound treatments, multiple veterinary visits, surgeries on his leg, endless bandage changes, medications, and countless hours of love and patience. Slowly, the frightened old tomcat transformed into a cherished member of her family. But saving him wasn't cheap. Flying Pigs Animal Sanctuary covered his dental care—about $500. His incredible foster spent over $1,000 of her own money treating his leg and giving him the medical care he desperately needed. This is the side of TNR that most people never see. Sometimes you trap a "feral" cat... and instead you discover a senior who just needed someone to notice he was suffering. Those are the moments that stretch every dollar we have, and we are desperately asking for your help to cover the cost of his medical bills.

Scooter is in the animal hospital fighting for his life after likely being attacked by a wild hog. He was discovered barely walking, covered in puncture wounds, with one hideous injury to his neck. When Paw Paws Pet Rescue first saved him, they had no idea what he had been through, but Scooter would not have made it much longer if they didn't race him to the animal hospital. "Scooter was suffering from all sorts of infections and needed emergency attention fast," Michele H., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "The vet team opened up his chest and inserted a tube to alleviate the burden of the air that was not reaching his lungs. His lungs were suffocating, and he could not breathe normally. He was struggling." He needed two different surgeries, and during one, the medical team discovered the "item" that created his worst wound just missed his heart and went past his rib cage. The injury is roughly 5-6 inches deep and suspected to have been caused by a wild boar. Ouch! Scooter's prognosis is good. He is on numerous medications, but he is now walking on his own, and it seems like he wants to win this battle! "He's a sweetheart and very lucky to be alive. Our sweet houndie boy has been through many tests and endless poking but continues to nuzzle in for love and wag his tail," Michele says. Now the rescue has to raise money to pay for all of Scooter's emergency and life-saving care. Please give to help Scooter! "We are so very grateful. I am a teacher and proud caregiver of two shelter dogs.I was not looking for a second home but took in "Chicken Nugget" to see if she would get along with my other dog. It worked out and "Chicken Nugget" was renamed Cece and became part of the family. Cece has been plagued with allergies and is now in need of Ligament surgery so she can get up and moving again. Cece is the "baby" of the family. She is scared of everything and very timid. She is my therapy, my companion, and the light of my day when I get home teaching. Lately, she has been confined to little or no movement. It breaks my heart that she misses all walks with our other dog. She is the most loving and innocent animal I have ever owned Cece comes to life on walks and romps in our backyard. She is gentle and wouldn't hurt a butterfly. She is curious but reserved and is easily scared of trashbags. She loves baths and snuggles Cece has had ongoing allergies, however, now she is in need of surgery. She is having surger on 10/19/23 at Pet Emergency and Referral Center under the care of Dr. Hanson. She needs her left leg stabilized so that she can be active again. There is a high recovery rate. I want her to have her quality of life back. We have seen three vets and all have said this is what Cece needs to regain activity I am a single mom and first grade teacher with two dogs. The washing machin was just replaced after house flooded. Cece's allergies are an ongoing expense leaving me without funds for this expense

Milo Needs Help After a Urinary Blockage Nearly Took His Life

NY, NY • NY Cat Warriors

Just days ago, Milo was teetering on the brink of septic shock, and his veterinarian gave him only a 50/50 chance. This sweet, playful four year old cat was taken in by NY Cat Warriors as a stray in March 2026. Already neutered and ear tipped, Milo settled into foster care and even formed a special bond with another cat in his foster home. He seemed healthy and had a bright future ahead of him. Then, without warning, everything changed. Milo stopped eating normally and became increasingly lethargic. By August 22, his foster knew something was seriously wrong, and he was rushed to the emergency room. Vets discovered that Milo was suffering from a life threatening urinary blockage. Although they were able to clear the obstruction, his bloodwork revealed that his condition was even more dangerous than initially feared. Milo’s potassium had risen to a dangerously high level, putting him at risk of a potentially fatal heart arrhythmia. At the same time, his blood sugar had fallen dangerously low. In a cat with a urinary blockage, this unusual combination raised serious concerns about a severe infection and the possibility of septic shock. Milo was admitted to the ICU, where he required intensive treatment and monitoring. He received insulin to lower his potassium, dextrose to stabilize his blood sugar, antibiotics to fight infection, pain medication, and careful monitoring to make sure he did not become blocked again. For a frightening period of time, no one knew if Milo was going to make it. Thankfully, Milo has begun responding to treatment. His kidney values and potassium have improved, his blood sugar has become more stable, and he has started eating small amounts on his own. He has improved enough to leave the highest level of ICU care, but Milo is not out of this yet. He remains under veterinary care as his team watches closely to make sure his improvement continues and that he does not experience another blockage or complication. After coming so close to losing him, his rescue wants to make sure Milo receives everything he needs to safely continue his recovery. Saving his life has also come at an enormous cost. More than $7,000 has already been paid toward Milo’s emergency hospitalization, and his total veterinary expenses are expected to approach $10,000. For a small foster based rescue, one unexpected emergency of this magnitude has a tremendous financial impact. Milo fought through a urinary blockage, dangerous bloodwork abnormalities, a severe infection, and the threat of septic shock. Now he needs our help as he continues fighting his way back. Help Scrappy get Possible Tail Amputation — Fort Worth, TX

Scrappy is a sweet young shop cat who appeared at the industrial facility where I work. We don't know where Scrappy came from—or even yet if Scrappy is a boy or girl—but this little cat has won us over. People at work leave out food and water, and despite a rough life, Scrappy is remarkably friendly and trusting. I have nicknamed him/her Scrappy, and I'm hoping to bring Scrappy home. Scrappy's tail is badly injured and appears to be getting infected. We need to get Scrappy examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible. I called Banfield and was told a tail amputation could cost up to $2,000, although this is not yet an official estimate. Scrappy will also need vaccinations, spay/neuter if needed, and other basic veterinary care. For a little cat living around an industrial shop, Scrappy is incredibly sweet and trusting. The first time I was able to pick Scrappy up and hold them, it became difficult to think of Scrappy as just the "shop cat." I would love to adopt Scrappy and provide a safe home where this little cat can finally experience life as a loved family pet. I wasn't planning for the expense of emergency veterinary care, but I don't want cost to prevent Scrappy from getting help. I'm asking the community to help cover the tail treatment and other necessary veterinary care so I can get Scrappy healthy and bring him home.

Help Nova get IMHA Treatment — AZ

My Nova love will be 10 this October, and she has been by my side since I rescued her at just 8 weeks old. For nearly a decade, she has been so much more than a pet—she is my constant companion, my comfort, and truly the light of my life. She is gentle, loving, loyal, and happiest simply being wherever I am. She was recently diagnosed with Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA), a serious autoimmune disease that destroys her red blood cells. She now needs frequent bloodwork, medications, rechecks, and may require transfusions or additional treatment. We have already spent over $1,700, and her care could reach approximately $12,000. Nova has the gentlest, most empathetic soul. She seems to know when someone needs comfort and has always been incredibly loving and patient, especially with the kiddos in her life. She is also a survivor of domestic violence and has stood beside me through some of my hardest moments in life. Despite everything, she remains full of love and heart. IMHA can change quickly, staying consistent with treatment is critical to giving Nova the best chance at recovery. These costs have become overwhelming very quickly. I am asking for help so I can continue providing the care she needs without having to choose based on cost.
