Miamour ( Mia) was a purchase when she was 7 weeks old. The only girl from the litter of 4. She is now 8 years old, but acts like a puppy. She is a mixed-breed but we know is Maltese, Poodle, Pomeranian and Chihuahua. Today, Nov 18th, 2025, sitting here at the veterinary hospital, we found out that Mia requires long term medication for pain in her legs, Or surgery. Her CrCL in both needs are damaged. Cranial Cruciate Ligament Disease. These are ligaments in her legs that are damaged. Additionally, Mia has Patellar Luxations, 😢 Mia loves her candy cane toy that we gave her for Christmas 7 years ago. She also loves carrots, melons of all kind, and chicken and cheese. You can’t say any words that start with CH. She goes nuts. I’m a 70 year old on a fixed income and cannot afford surgery or even the medications Mia will need to be comfortable. Although I’m on a fixed income, Mia goes to the Vet and her vaccinations are up to date.

Bagel is a rescue who came into my life in February 2024 unexpectedly. He's been by my side through a toxic and emotionally abusive relationship that we made it out of together and it has taken a lot of training to get Bagel back to a point where he can trust people and not be scared of the world around him. He's a sweet boy who's just now finding out the world is a not-so-scary place for a pup. Bagel requires surgery for a pelvic fracture at Coral Springs Animal Hospital. After getting too excited when seeing potential canine friends, Bagel jumped out of the car window while the vehicle was moving and ended up spraining his foot and fracturing his pelvis. The fracture currently causes a lot of pain when he walks and can cause future leg complications if no procedure is done. Bagel is a resilient, sweet, anxious boy who has been learning to trust the world again after being a stray for the first 7 months of his life, to being adopted by an emotionally and physically abusive owner, to becoming my best friend. He loves his pet parent, grandparents, and his four-legged aunts and uncles who have taught him what it means to be loved and spoiled. Bagel and I left Missouri and came back down to Florida in October, and plan to move to Arizona in early January for a new job. Due to the financial restraints of back-to-back moves, this surgery would make us choose between his health and a healthy environment.

I had adopted Duke when he was 7 months old and he has been raised by me ever since he grew up in a home with his “little older brother” Rookie (a lemon beagle) currently we have all been workin on a family myself my girlfriend and her 5 year old son, Duke, Rookie, and now Kenzie my girlfriends German Shepherd. Duke was hit by a car and rushed to Kingston Animal Emergency Clinic of The Hudson Valley where they discovered he has a broken femur in 3 places, and multiple cuts and abrasions. He was then taken to saugerties animal hospital the next day they had reviewed X-rays and sent us to guardian veterinary specialists where he is currently waiting for surgery rather than amputation. Duke is the protector of the house, he is the boss of his little brother Rookie and the boss of his sister Kenzie. Duke is the first one to greet anyone at the door to be sure he knows you and the last one to go to bed after walking around the house to be sure everyone is in bed. Duke loves visiting the firehouse with me as I am an assistant fire chief and he loves going for walks and car rides I work full time plus I volunteer for my local fire department, this surgery is very costly and unexpected I am the last one to ask anyone for help but I am asking for assistance for Duke to continue giving him that chance to walk and that life he has.

So Wish came into our lives as gift from a friend and has been an energetic and loveable part of our family for the last 5years and my mom is elderly and having some health issues but they're like peanut butter and jelly, you couldn't imagine one without the other so he's more like her emotional support and doubles as her bodyguard and sweet as can be with my little girl and other kids He was out taking a bathroom break when another dog attacked him from the rear, but luckily i was outside raking some leafs and was able to get the other dog off of him and thinkful there wasn't any serious injuries, so im trying to find a place to take him and get the wounds cleaned and treated and whatever shots and medicine he needs He's just full of life and doesn't have a mean bone in his body unless there's a knock at the door then sounds he sounds 10ft tall but whenever someone comes thru the door his tail is already wagging before he gets quiet, he loves kids, and my mom and has never met a stranger he's friendly with everyone and yes he even likes cats my mom who is elderly and has Dementia and Alzheimers and other medical issues,has no income beside her ssi and food stamps (which $25 a month doesn't go far)and the other bearly pays her bills, so me and my sister help out as we can, but im recently became unemployed

Patches is a welsh corgi. He came into our lives as a puppy 3 years ago. He was shy at first then became this loving puppy. We have 2 other dogs that he loves to play with. He loves belly rubs too. I pick him up turn him over and rub is belly all the time Patches has been a healthy dog. Last week, we noticed him breathing pretty hard. We had taken him to Flagler animal hospital. They did scan on him and found he has fluid in his lungs and around his heart. They tried to drain some of it but it was too thick and they got very little off him. Then 2 days later we had him at an emergency vet to which they couldn’t get much off him either. Patches is a loving dog. He likes to sleep in or under the bed with us and loves his belly rubs. He will roll over before you even get close to him. He loves to play and chase the 2 other dogs we have. He loves to play with squeaky toys and balls This all was a sudden medical expense. We have spent all our savings over $3000 in 2 vet visits. He needs a CT scan and possible surgery to see what may be causing this. I love this baby very very much

Doug came into my life two years ago after his former owners felt they couldn’t handle a dog with a new baby. They had named him “Ugly Dog,” but I gently changed it to Doug so it still felt familiar. He settled into my home, loving our big backyard and his two little Chinese Crested sisters. He became family the moment he arrived. Doug became suddenly and critically ill after a routine dental. His white blood cells and platelets dropped to life-threatening levels, causing anemia, bruising, and fever. He’s undergoing intensive treatment, including transfusions, steroids, antibiotics, and injections to try to save his life. Doug is a funny little guy with a huge personality. He loves making eye contact, like he’s having a real conversation with you. He’s always looking for something to eat or some new adventure to get into. My daughter and I adopted Penny from an unwanted Home 11 years ago. My daughter has horrible anxiety and she needed a pet for emotional support. Penny has been a blessing to our home and has been there for us in our time of need. I don't know what we would do without her. Penny had a seizure on Friday 11/14/25, we thought it was a one time thing but she ended up getting 3 more on Sunday 11/17/25. We called CastleRock Vet and they told us that she needs blood work and seizure meds. At this time we cannot afford this, We feel helpless and desperate for help. Penny is the light to our dark, she has helped us with our anxiety and we have been there for her when she needs play time and cuddles. She is special because she brings us joy and comfort. If Penny got healthy again it would mean the world to us We would be heartbroken without her, we love her so much. Honestly, my daughter would be a mess if we lost her since she is her emotional support animal.

We adopted Chewie when he was 6 weeks old and he's given us so much love for 5 years. He's an incredibly loyal, friendly and goofy dog. He loves treats and playing with his sister Coco. He enjoys walks, belly rubs, and visiting family. He's had previous health battles that include correction for cherry eye and management of allergies, but has always persevered with a happy and loving attitude. In August, Chewie began exhibiting unusual behaviors including restlessness and difficulty eating. After multiple visits and tests done at our local vet, nothing could be found. We decided to take him to a neurologist in El Paso where he was diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis. He has 2 lesions on his brainstem that require lifelong chemotherapy, steroids and anticonvulsants to prevent relapse. Chewie is our first baby together and is truly a member of our family. He is incredibly smart, loyal, and loving. He always sticks by our side, loves to cuddle and is super affectionate. He loves to give Coco kisses by cleaning her face. He is unlike any dog I've had, and seeing him not his usual self since this started has been extremely heartbreaking. He's "our boy" that we just love so much. It's been an incredibly difficult journey to determine Chewie's diagnosis, and even harder once he got diagnosed. The multiple visits/tests done prior have piled up, and now more so with his ongoing treatment. Anything that could help us, we are so grateful. He is so loved.
