Phenix is our 7-year-old Rottweiler, lovingly called “Puddie.” She lives with us and her two dog siblings in a quiet home in NC. She’s playful, loyal, and deeply bonded with our family. She helps me manage my MS and brings comfort and joy every day. She is brave. She is strong. She is our miracle in motion—and we’re fighting for every moment she has left! Phenix was diagnosed with orbital osteosarcoma after eye removal surgery revealed a hidden mass. She is under the care of NC State Veterinary Hospital Oncology Department and is scheduled for a CT scan and radiation therapy to stop the cancer from spreading. She remains active, joyful, and full of life despite her diagnosis. Phenix is pure love and loyalty. She’s gentle, goofy, and always knows when we need comfort. She greets us with joy, plays with her stuffed bunny, and watches over us like a guardian. She helps me manage my MS with her steady, calming presence. She’s not just our dog—she’s our heart, our strength, and our daily reminder of unconditional love. A recent MS relapse left me out of work for months, draining our savings. My wife is on medical disability, and Phenix’s treatment costs are beyond our means. Helping her heal means everything—she’s our anchor, our joy, and we’ll do anything to keep her by our side.

When I first got Marshal and his brother Popo I was in a relationship and had help with all the things that required money in my household for the last 4 years it’s been just me and the dogs. They are my family and I will do all I can to ensure they have a happy home. Marshall has had diarrhea for about a month. I need him to see a vet as soon as possible. Tuca or Tucee has been with me for 4 wonderful years. My boyfriend and I at the time, went to pick up a different puppy than Tuca. But the moment I stepped into the door, Tuca chose me. I begged my bf to let me have him instead because I felt a bond so fast with him. He is a Pomeranian mixed with Yorkie. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my bf, his cat, and my son. Tuca has been in and out of emergency vet hospitals on and off since the first year I got him. From food intolerances to luxating patellas. Recently, his normal behavior changed. He didn’t want to go out for walks and he barks a lot more. I saw him limping more than usual and took him in recently. The vet said he may have debilitating disc disease. We need an expensive MRI done to properly diagnos Tuca is very special to me because he’s my best friend! He is always there for me emotionally and physically when I need someone. I’ve suffered with depression often in my life but ever since I’ve gotten Tuca, my life has been filled with adventure and love! He is a super sweet but sassy dog! He has personality for sure! He loves playing with squeeky toys and mommies socks. I am on a fixed income. I do have care credit but very limited max. I try to save money for him; but then my car broke down, or I had two surgeries two months apart and was out of work for awhile. I would do anything to help Tuca get out of pain! Please help me do so too!!

My sweet Nala is my baby. I adopted her from a rescue when she was 4 months old. She was born September 17th 2023. I adopted her December 5th 2023. She has been such a blessing. She lives with me but I do have a 17 year old daughter who spends a bit of time with her and I have a 16 year old daughter who would rather not be bothered with her. My parents also live here but Nala is with me mostly. When I adopted her she was covered in parasites so she had to be treated for that. From the beginning she has always been very high strung anxious but so am I. Recently at a well visit the vet noticed a mark on her foot but it didn’t look like much. I took her back for a spay appointment 3 days later and the mass on her foot was much more raised and hair loss which is a sign she may have cancer Nala is an anxious girl but she loves everyone. She will go up there anyone she can in hopes to get pet and then she’ll lay down right away for a belly rub. Nala truly has been a life changer for me because I am no longer so Alone. It’s clear she loves me just as much as I love her and I will do whatever it takes to try and make sure she is okay I have been a single mom for 17 years. My girls are older now and I have a lot more time alone lately which is why I adopted Nala because I needed a friend. I work a full time job as a patient care technician at a nearby hospital. I just don’t make enough to cover the cost.

After a thorough examination, the veterinary hospital discovered a foreign object inside him, which is causing serious complications. Exploratory surgery is urgently needed. Duece isn't just special because of his breed—it's his personality that truly sets him apart. He's gentle yet spirited, with a heart as big as his smile. He's the first one to greet us at the door, wagging his tail so enthusiastically that you'd think he hasn't seen us in years even if we've only been gone for five minutes. His playful antics bring endless joy to our lives Duece is more than a pet—he's family. Hi everyone, my name is Elizabeth Tavera. This is Skye - my three year old cockapoodle and best friend to my 9 year old daughter. My daughter suffers from anxiety and is unable to socialize with kids her age so Skye has served as her anchor and emotional support. My dog has a neurological disease where her back legs don't function, and to fix this she would have to go through surgery which is very pricey, the hospital that we took her to was in Brewster NY. My dogs best friend is my daughter, Skye is very loving, loyal, and very supportive. She's always full of joy and has a lot of energy, she loves playing and it is truly sad to see her not able to do the things she loves. I am mother of four and I take care of two other kids, and this happening to Skye was not on my list, I wasn't prepared for this to happen. It is hard seeing Skye not moving around like she usually does and I would really appreciate any sort of help, she is an amazing dog.

This is my "son", Ares. Ares came into our lives seven years ago and ever since then, he's been a big part of our family. As a son and a sibling, he's changed all of our lives with his funny character and his commitment to our family. He was the "runt" of his litter on a ad on Craigslist due to a crooked tail, but I didn't see a runt. All I saw a was a fur baby who just needed unconditional love. Ares is currently suffering from a bilateral perineal hernia, mega colon & diverticula which makes it painful to use the bathroom WHEN he is able to. During the prolonged waits, we've also been taking him to get an enema done with a local vet to make using the bathroom less painful & strenuous on his body. He will also be getting neutered in the process. I can attach his treatment plan if needed. Ares is not just a "dog", but a family member. He is the most loving and caring fur baby that we've been blessed to come across. He may be tiny, but his desire and love to protect each and every one of us out weighs his body. This boy just means the absolute world to us all and we want to have him in our lives for as long as he is given with the proper treatment. As a last resort and due to having a child on a way, also being back and forward with different vets, and long waits just to get seen, this unfortunate event came unexpectedly. Having our baby boy healthy again will mean SO much to our entire family.

Patches is my grandfather’s dog. He lives with me right now since my grandfather is in a personal care home. We take Patches for visits at the PCH so that he can spend time with my grandfather, the staff, and other residents. He is a joy to everyone he visits. Patches was diagnosed with seizures. He will get aggressive before a seizure and will try to bite due to being scared. He is doing better now that he is on medications to address the seizures. To help with his aggression, we want to get him neutered. Due to seizures, we are not able to use a low-cost neutering clinic. The estimation from his doctor at VCA Northside Animal Hospital is $953. My Grandfather has dementia, and Patches seems to comfort him. He loves going on visits and being around my dogs. He loves to cuddle. He also loves being in the backyard sunbathing. He loves his weekly visits to the dog park, where he runs around with his friend. I recently lost my 19-year-old terrier due to old age. He has been such a comfort to me. The reason we are seeking help is due to able to afford the high cost of the surgery. We had no concerns with his medications and routine dog visits. My grandfather is on a fixed income. He had saving, but a family member stole his funds. We are doing the best we can.
