We rescued Aurora in the summer of 2023, thinking she was a beagle mix. She was tiny, sweet, and fit right into our family. But she kept growing—and growing! After a DNA test, we learned she’s actually a pit bull and Australian cattle dog mix. She’s much bigger than we expected, but we wouldn’t trade her for anything. She lives with my parents and me, along with several cats and another young puppy. Earlier this year, Aurora began limping and seemed to be in pain. We took her to VCA Pet Hospital, where she was diagnosed with torn ligaments in both of her knees—an issue common in her breed. We had no idea she was at risk when we adopted her. So far, we’ve spent nearly $2,000 just to get her X-rayed and diagnosed, and she still needs major surgery to repair her knees and live without pain. Her Aurora is pure joy wrapped in a big, wiggly body. She’s a bed hog who insists on being spooned. She’s afraid of the dark and absolutely hates baths—she hides as soon as she hears the water running. She’s also the queen of squeaky toys and throws impressively gross farts that clear the room. Her favorite treat is yogurt, and she’ll do anything for a bone. She gets along with our other pets, follows Our family has been hit hard this past year. In early 2023, my dad suffered a serious accident and broke his neck. He can no longer work, and after his insurance ran out, everything changed financially. I’m starting college in August, and I know we can’t afford the surgery.

We lost two dogs with a year and we have been looking for a addition to our family and we found Smidge. We wanted a smaller dog this time and found him online. He was waiting to be adopted for probably five months and we finally were able to adopt him. He’s just a puppy and he has been so much fun running around the house and giving me a lot of joy. Well today after we were playing in the house and he was chasing me back-and-forth my wife took him outside on our back porch and somehow he got tangled up with his leash and fell off the bench we have on our porch and he broke his leg and two places we are at Cove in Delaware, Ohio off Sunbury Road. Since he has too broken bones in his leg, they are recommending surgery. It is much more than we p he is new to our family and is such a joy he loves to play. He is super smart and he does tell us when he needs to go outside.. every morning I play music and dance around as he barks at me and chases me around the house and we do this in the evening and also now his leg is broken, and I am very saddened by this accident me and my wife both work that I am a single business owner to landscaping company. I just started my wife is a dental assistant. It would mean everything to see her. I’ll be heal correctly and be able to run around again without chronic pain the rest of his life.

Lily was abandoned with her siblings in a storm drain in Texas and rescued just in time, coming to Colorado. She was the last one left when I visited an adoption event and instantly connected with her. Now, Lily is my constant companion, always by my side, providing love and joy, especially through her signature “Lily hugs.” She’s been my light through the darkest times, and we share an unbreakab Lily has been diagnosed with Metastatic Extra-Medullary Plasmacytoma, a rare, aggressive cancer. A 5cm tumor in her colon is causing her to strain constantly, and surgery is necessary to prevent her from losing the ability to go to the bathroom. The procedure will be performed at Animal Emergency & Specialty Center. Lily is my best friend, my heart, and the light that guides me through dark times. After struggling with severe weight issues 102 lbs, she lost half her body weight over the past year through vet supervision. We were starting to enjoy hikes and runs that she couldn’t do before when tragedy struck. Her playful, loving nature and signature “Lily hugs” Lily is the missing piece of my soul. Lily means everything to me. Without surgery, she could lose the ability to go to the bathroom, and I can’t bear the thought of losing her. I live in a halfway house and simply can’t afford the cost. Please, help me save her. She’s my heart, and I refuse to give up on her.

Tallulah is an 11-year-old Shih Tzu and the oldest of our three furry family members. We’ve had her since she was a tiny puppy, and she has been part of our lives ever since. My sister and I named her after a Barbie movie we loved as kids, making her even more special to us. Recently, Tallulah has been struggling with serious eye issues. She has an ulcer in her left eye and dry eye in her right, requiring six different eye drops and pain medications to manage her condition. We are hoping her eye will heal naturally, avoiding the need for removal surgery. Tallulah is truly special because of her gentle and affectionate nature. She has always been the calmest and most loving member of our furry family. Unlike her younger siblings, who are full of energy, Tallulah prefers to relax by our side, enjoying cuddles and quiet moments. She has a way of sensing emotions and will always be the first to comfort us when we’re feeling down. With rising veterinary expenses, we are facing a serious financial strain. We want to do everything possible to help Tallulah recover without the need for surgery, but the cost of treatment is making it harder to keep up.

Hope

Hope is a 2 month old Great Pyrenees in Weatherford , TX, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Repair of a Cleft Palate.

Hope was part of a liter of 12 puppies our Great Pyrenees. She was the runt of the litter and we started seeing that we had difficulty in bottle feeding her. At first, the vet told us that he thought she was just the runt but at 7 weeks, the vet finally saw that she was born with a cleft palate way in the back of the roof of her mouth. He has told us surgery is the only option we have. Once the vet discovered the cleft, he told us that the only option is a repair or we would have to put her down or that she would eventually deteriorate over time and would not be able to sustain food to keep her alive and thriving. Hope is very special to us, but especially our special needs daughter. Our daughter was also born with a cleft palate and several other medical issues. She has told us that she wants to keep Hope because it reminds her of the difficulties she went through as a child and that they can share that common bond. Our daughter has already developed a special bond with Hope. We did not expect this complication to come up when the puppies were born. It took us off guard and not in a position to deal with the extra finance. We run a therapeutic riding stable for disabled kids and adults and our Pyrenees are loved by all our riders.

Buster

Buster is a 6 year old Australian Shepherd in New Waverly, TX, who needs $2,000 for Botox for Facial Tic & Upper Palate Reconstruction.

I rescued Buster and his brother, Chuka, from a severely neglectful situation in September 2024. Buster was covered in mats and sticker burrs. They lived on a porch full of trash and debris (even though Buster is blind and has difficulty navigating) and "whenever they come up to me and look hungry, I just put some food on the ground." The owner said "I am just not a dog person". Buster had to have his snout bone and all but 2 of his teeth removed do to trauma related to FIREWORKS. He also SURVIVED DISTEMPER as a pup. After surgery, his lingerin facial tic caused four holes in the roof of his mouth that lead into his nasal cavity. Each time he eats/drinks, the food/water goes into his sinuses. This has caused 2 infections and will eventually result in aspiration pneumonia. Buster is such a fighter. After everything he has been through, he has done nothing but smile and ask for loves from the moment we rescued him. Though he hurts his nose every time he runs into something, he is the most adventurous pup, and he always has this silly grin. He takes such good care of his Chuka brother and is a fierce protector of his mommy. Between Chuka's surgery to have his leg fixed (who had been run over, his leg broken, and NOTHING done to fix it) and Buster's surgery for his nose and teeth, while caring for my 13 year old cat that is in kidney failure, I have exhausted my savings and run up my only credit

This is Benji. We adopted him about 2 years ago from a shelter in Austin, TX. He immediately bonded with my son, Patrick. They became the best of friends. Benji has helped him deal with the death of his dad. When no one is home he is crated as he has horrible separation anxiety if my son’s not there. Benji got out of his crate on Monday and ate the straps from my son’s backpack. He purged half of what he ate and hasn’t thrown up anymore. He’s throwing up bile. He’s lethargic, doesn’t want to eat or drink anything. VEG South Lamar saw him but won’t do anything unless we have the $1300 to pay for tests. It may be an intestinal blockage they mentioned. Benji’s favorite thing is doing anything with my son. Going to the dog parks, playing ball or just hanging out watching TV. My son’s dad passed away and Benji has been there. He’s his outlet to let things out or just be there to listen with no judgment and unconditional love. I am on a limited income. Social Security Disability Insurance. I have a very tight budget to make sure we all have a roof and food. There’s very little extra. It would mean everything to get Benji healthy. It’s killing me that I cannot help and he’s in pain.

We first got kiki the maltese as a gift for christmas in 2021. She was just a small little puppy and about 7 weeks old. She is currently living with my sister and i, she gets lots of activities throughout the day. She’s playful and loves to bark. A big dog attacked my little dog and bit her right in the neck, hitting the trachea. This caused her to not breathe well, and she was breathing in her own blood and coughing. She in critical condition. she needs surgery and tons of follow ups. The name of the vet hospital is called Blue pearl pet hospital. This is where she’s currently been seen. my pet is special because she's always there for you, wagging her tail and bringing so much joy. She makes you happy with her unconditional love and playful antics. Pets have a unique way of brightening our days and filling our hearts with happiness. My pet is in critical condition and needs expensive medical treatment. I lost my job recently and I don't have the money to pay for the treatment. I am asking for help to save my pet's life. It would mean the world to me to have my pet healthy again.
