My beloved dog, Abbey, has been my unwavering support and safety. At just 5 years old, she's full of energy and life. Recently, Abbey started limping, and after a visit to the vet and some X-rays, we discovered she has hip dysplasia in her left hip. The news was devastating. The required surgery is estimated to cost between $8,000 and $12,000—an amount far beyond my reach. My Abbey has hip dysplasia in her left hip after being seen at the Stuart Sound Vet Clinic here in Stuart. She will be required to have surgery. She will be going to Med Vet in Jupiter, Fl on March 6th to see what exactly needs to be done in regards to surgery. I love Abbey with all my heart, and it breaks me to see her in pain. She is a great companion that helps to keep me calm. This surgery is critical for her to live a full and happy life, without the constant pain that hip dysplasia brings. Abbey is my last dog, and I cannot bear to watch her suffer when I know there's a solution. I am a retired 69-year-old living on Social Security with a lot of health problems. Like many in the working class, I'm struggling with the basics of life, from insurance to mortgage payments.

Caz

Caz is a 12 year old Shih Tzu in Lake Grove, NY, who needs $2,000 for Total Ear Ablation.

Caz is the most precious little dog in the world. He had an extremely hard start in life. He was abandoned as a young age and didn’t know what it felt like to be Loved. When I adopted him, the closest thing he knew to playing was picking up rocks and carrying them around in his mouth. He had never been given any attention or had anyone care for his enrichment. Caz has developed a mast cell tumor that is located in his ear canal that is rapidly growing to the outer part of his ear. He needs a total ear ablation from Smithtown Village Animal Hospital. The surgery, including the medical procedure and medications will cost approximately $7,000. Unfortunately, this is far beyond what I can manage, and we are desperately seeking your help. Caz is the sweetest little teddy bear. He loves every human and animal he meets. He is so loving and caring and just a moosh. Caz is an Angel on earth. He adores his cat " sister" Sparkles. They love to snuggle up together and nap. Caz enjoys taking car rides to the beach and simply loves life. I forgot to mention, Caz loves "treats" even more. Unfortunately, In June 2021, I was diagnosed with a serious health condition and was unable to continue working at my job. I have exhausted all my savings and retirement. With your help, Caz will be able to live a happy & healthy life.

I was gifted my grand-puppy a little more than a year and a half ago. I call him this, because Shadow was my oldest son's dog. When Shadows boy had to move states, we became Best friends as I became his guardian. shadow has become very ill, and is in desperate need of a Surgery I, as guardian am unfortunately unable to finance. These stones unfortunately clogg the urethra and does not allow Shadow to Urinate. This surgery is urgently needed, as Shadow will suffer life ending consequences, if he does not Thank you! He is definitely my emotional support, and has helped me continue to grow personally, as I continue my healing journey and find myself evolving. He is there to ensure i get plenty of movement, and stay connected to the world around me. In my daily life I spend my time working for a no profit recovery center. Bruno

Bruno is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Highland Springs, VA, who needs $2,000 for Splenectomy.

Bruno was a rescue whose came into our lives approx 4-5 years ago. Bruno was a baitdog for evil humans but luckily we rescued him. Immediately after rescue the vet found cancer and we were able to remove it. He's lived his life with 2 german shepherd brothers and enjoys chasing them. Bruno is a professional sleeper but will light up ypur whole day when he see any human. His little happy feet go wi Bruno is not just a dog; He is a survivor and a beloved member of our family. Two weeks ago we noticed his spleen was enlarged but the vet thought it was because of a small blockage. He passed the blockage but conditions got worse. Today the vet had to perform emergency surgery to remove his spleen. It was suspected and confirmed his spleen was full of cancer. Bruno has 2 brothers. They are a pack. They depend on him and he depends on them. Bruno lights up the whole room with his nub tail never stopping and his terrible gas that also seems to never stop. Bruno is a part of his grandparents lives our lives and many other families. Currently i am out of work due to a crushing injury to my foot. Return is not known yet as I have many orthopedic appointment and rehab. Bruno is also my certified emotional support animal and he truly helps with my social anxiety and severe depression. I need him well.

I got Pepper from a family who couldn’t take care of her due to health reasons. She was just 4 months old and needed a new family. I was looking for a pet and so it was perfect timing for her and I. We live together in my 2 bedroom apartment and she’s been well adjusted. I came home from work one day and noticed she was favoring her right front leg by not putting any weight on it. Concerned, I picked her up and it was just dangling. We immediately went to the Hershey Animal Emergency Center and she was x-rayed and diagnosed with a Long oblique mid diaphyseal humeral fracture that will need surgery to repair. I just don’t have the money for it. Pepper came into my life at a time I needed a companion. I moved to a new city and started a new job and she became my best friend and helped me get situated. Her energy is unmatched. Pepper is an appropriate name! She’s lovey, hyper at times, a big licker, and loves to run, jump, and play. She loves visits from my parents, friends and neighbors! She’s not herself right now. She’s sad and in pain. This came at an unexpected time (as these things do) and I just wasn’t prepared to spend so much at once. Her surgery is the price of a decent used car. It would mean the world to Pepper and I if someone could help us with this. I can’t stand seeing her in so much pain.

One day my dad came home from work & told us some puppies had been born. We then decided to get my baby Steven. We chose him since he looked the most cutest & more German shepherd looking one out the pack haha. We named him Steven because he loved to dress up & look handsome so we figured Steven was more fancy of a name for his confidence. I raised him to be an inside cuddly buddy his whole life. I noticed Steven one day after a walk he had a lump on his right side. & seem very bloated. We took him to the vet & got X-rays done after hours of waiting. we unfortunately got the worst news anyone could get. He has a massive mass in his abdominal area. Either a cyst or tumor possibly cancer. This mass has grown dramatically in 2 weeks. It’s cutting blood flow. Needs surgery immediately. Steven is the family’s youngest baby apart from having 4 legs & being fully furry. He loves our family. He walks to our bed in the morning & gently stares wagging his tail. He loves playing with toys & tug-of-war with us, & admiring me while cooking. He loves blankets. My baby snuggles you when sad or crying. Loves car rides too. We can’t imagine life without him. He’s the happiness we look for I suffered a bad accident & caused me to lose my job due to dislocating my left elbow. I’ve been using my savings to help my baby to survive he’s only 5. Being able to save my Steven would make us eternally grateful for life. we appreciate deeply to those who can help us.

Kenai came into our life at 7 weeks old. We had lost one of our dogs a few months prior to cancer, and as devastating as it was, Kenai brightened up our world. My husband and I live full time in an RV and were unsure about puppy training, but he's a natural "road dog" he fit right in & loves having a new yard, new smells, and new friends ever few weeks. Kenai gave us reason to smile again. Kenai started limping this past weekend, and after watching it for a few days we realized it was getting worse so we took him to his vet (who we love). We got devastating news that at just 8 months he has severe hip dysplasia and will require Total Hip Replacement to give him a good quality of life. We are going to Kinetic Veterinary Specialists for surgery as our vet only does the FHO surgery. To tell you how Kenai is special would take forever. First, he is the goofiest, fun-loving pup ever! When you see him at 103 pounds it's hard to imagine he's still a baby! He loves squeak toys, especially when I'm on a work call! He wants to sit wherever his older sister (4yr old mix) is.. Much to her dismay! He pulls his "blankie" out of his crate when he needs a nap. He is our world for sure. My husband took a 30 ft fall at work 4 years ago and can not work. We lost our 4 year old male in May. Trying to save my pup means everything to me as I can't see losing him so young. We barely get by financially as it is so we really need some help

Norman, Norm, Normie. He is a young almost 10 year old. He currently lives with his pesky brother, Simon who is a teenage Corgi. Norm has been my constant companion and solace for all his life. We live in a rural area in the most beautiful place in America and I know he feels as fortunate as I do. We live in a lower level apartment inside the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Norm sees Dr Peck at Northern Michigan Animal Hospital. Six weeks ago I noticed he was drinking a lot of water. We saw Dr Peck, had bloodwork done and sent off. While we were waiting for those results, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. After my surgery, I was referred down to Blue Pearl in Grand Rapids - parathyroid tumor needing surgery for him. Norm has been the “perfect” companion. He has traveled across the country numerous times, on the plane and in the car. He loves the beach and woods and as long as he’s with me, he’s a happy guy. He has unknowingly helped me through some very challenging situations and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without him. My grandchildren LOVE him - “Normie” is favored over “Oma” any day! I just turned 70 last November and although I still work, it has slowed down so I am on a fixed income. My cancer diagnosis means many unknown medical bills; add 6K for my best friend’s needs is a devastating and heart wrenching blow. I just don’t know how to do it.

Ayla

Ayla is a 1.1 year old Great Pyrenees in Longmont, CO, who needs $2,000 for Total Hip Replacement.

I rescued Ayla from the Pyr Paws & Fluffy Tails Rescue in Oklahoma in May 2023. She is now a Colorado girl, just like her mama! She loves the snow and being outside, but she gets tired out easily. She lives her pet cat Apollo’s and her boy Kamren. She makes friends easily and is our biggest protector. Ayla was diagnosed with juvenile hip dysplasia during a routine vet visit. She was in more pain then we realized and after having sedated X-rays, we discovered that her hip bones hadn’t formed fully so her leg bones were hanging in place by muscle and tendons only. We were able to raise $7200 for her first surgery at Colorado Canine Orthopedics in Colorado Springs, CO. Ayla loves most other dogs and when she finds one that plays like her, it is so fun to watch. She has lots of friends and people are drawn to her. We going walks at McIntosh Lake which is near our apartment and she gets lots of attention from other dogs and all the people walking by. She lives to chase the rabbits and is very curious about the prairie dogs! Her love for the snow is the best! I left a very abusive boss/job unexpectedly and embarked on a new career in real estate before Ayla was diagnosed. The change in income and medical bills depleted my savings quickly and all my credit cards are now maxed out and in payment plans.
