Carrera

Carrera is a 10 year old Labrador Retriever in Pasadena, CA, who needs $10,000 for AVM Embolization (arteriovenous malformation).

Pasadena, CA

Carrera found us in 2018 when a friend and client of mine, who helps rehome pets, posted a pic of her saying that she needed a home and she tagged me in the post. We instantly fell in love and she was ours. I have two daughters and we had lost our other labrador in 2016 to cancer. She lives with me and my younger daughter, our cat and two bunnies. Last fall, Carrera was diagnosed with AV Malformation in her right front leg. These are either congenital or caused from some type of trauma. We visited so many vets and had multiple tests to finally get a diagnosis. Her cardiologist team recommends surgery to correct this. They have to do a CT scan and angiogram prior to pinpoint exactly where to fix it. She is with Access Pasadena and Dr. Cole. Carrera is the sweetest, most gentle dog. She loves the cat and she also will just hang out with the bunnies and even lets them walk on her. She follows me everywhere I go and loves to cuddle on the couch. I take her everywhere I can and on road trips. She's been to San Diego, Ojai and Big Bear. She just loves being around us all the time and is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever had. Although I have pet insurance, this complication and surgery is an enormous unexpected expense for our family. Insurance will cover up to $4000 and the expected cost may be between $12,000-$15,0000. It is something that needs to be fixed and will only worsen over time.

Cheif

Cheif is a 5 year old American Akita in Quakertown , PA, who needs $7,500 for Bloat.

Quakertown, PA

Chief is our big-headed baby 💙 We got him when he was just a pup, and we knew right away he was special — when we went to pick him up, he came running straight to us. He is such a big baby with the sweetest heart. He absolutely loves his toys, loves to play, and is amazing with kids. Chief isn’t just our dog — he’s a huge part of our family, our daily joy, and our constant companion. Chief needed emergency surgery today for bloat, and it all happened so fast. He was completely normal this morning — we followed our usual routine, went outside, came back in — and then suddenly he started acting very strange. We knew immediately that something wasn’t right. We rushed him straight to Quakertown emergency vet hospital, where they told us he was suffering from bloat and needed im Chief is such a joyful dog who loves playing with his toys and bringing happiness to everyone around him. He also has a sister, Kira, and their bond is truly unimaginable — they are inseparable. On the day this happened, Kira knew something was wrong before we did. She was barking nonstop to get our attention, and looking back, it truly shows how dogs know when something isn’t right. Her instincts We were told he was suffering from bloat and needed emergency surgery to survive. The cost? Around $8,000 — completely unexpected and far beyond what we were prepared for. We’ve never been the type to ask for help, but now we are scrambling to make this possible 🙏

Coco

Coco is a 23 year old Umbrella cockatoo in Attleboro , MA, who needs $600 for Chelation Therapy.

Attleboro, MA

Coco came into my life nearly 13 years ago while I was living in North Carolina. He was a gift during a very difficult and abusive relationship, but he quickly became my loyal companion and source of strength. He shares our home with two French Bulldog siblings. I kept his original name, Coco, but added Michael as his middle name. He has been my constant through high and low for a decade. Coco was seen on 12/05/25 at Home Veterinary in Walpole, MA. Bloodwork/x-rays revealed his liver is half the normal size and he has a slightly calcified aorta. Most concerning are three bright white circles in his gizzard, which the vet believes is metal. I spent $919 on these diagnostics, which I had to put on a credit card that is now maxed out. I am desperate to get him the next level of care Coco is my constant; our bond is unbreakable. He has been the one consistent presence in my life through foster care, abusive relationships, and many moves. Despite anything our struggles, he is incredibly social and loves everyone. I take him everywhere, from walks in the park to trips through the drive-thru. He is a happy, gentle soul who brings joy to every family member and stranger he meets. Bills are piling up and my cards are maxed. I was denied CareCredit and feel at a loss. I fought for years to keep Coco with me after leaving an abusive home; he is my reason to get up. Getting him healthy means the world to me. I simply cannot afford to lose him now.
