Luna

Luna is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Newport, OR, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery, Physical Therapy, and Imaging.

Newport, OR

Luna is a "last chance" rescue, who came from Oklahoma. She was sent to Newberg Oregon in hopes of being rescued at last. Indeed she was. I consider her a gift from the universe. She is very sweet. She is an angel. She loves pets from everyone and gives tons of love back. Currently she lives in Newport Oregon. We go for adventures daily on the beach and in the forest. She is my baby. She is currently seeing a specialist at West Hills Animal Hospital in Corvallis Oregon. This is where she is receiving PT and where she will receive her TPLO surgeries for both hind knees. She has a fully/almost fully torn CCL in one leg, and the other knee is on its way. Luckily we caught it early. She is in pain and is too young and full of energy to be a couch potato dog. She needs your help! Everyone who meets Luna falls in love. The first time I saw her I felt that she was special. I make sure to give her all the love in the world, and she gives it back to everyone she meets. If you are new to her, she will come to you to meet you, and use your legs as a leaning post while you pet her. Or she will bury her head in your lap, waiting for ear scratches. She is a gift from the universe. We need to raise close to 10k to cover the costs of rehabilitation. I don't have the means to finance her care. The total cost of both TPLO's is $7200, x-rays and initial visit were nearly $900 and PT will cost another 2-2500k. She deserves this! This is for her not me.

Shelby

Shelby is a 6 year old German Shepherd Dog in Kinta, OK, who needs $1,500 for Melarsomine Dihydrochloride Injections.

Kinta, OK

Shelby came into my life on January 30th. I was driving my normal route home from college. I saw Shelby on the side of the highway obviously needing help. Long story short she did not want anything to do with me. I fed her and went on my with day. February 3rd she was in the same spot only this time she remembered me and my kindness and allowed me to eventually take her home. I took Shelby to the vet the same day that I brought her home. Shelby was diagnosed with heart worms. Despite this diagnosis Shelby is said to be healthy. I have another dog that she has already shown love to but I can't keep her and house her without proper treatment to avoid spreading the worms to my other dog. I have passed many dogs in my life that were homeless but for some reason something told me to turn around for Shelby. The first time I met Shelby she was slightly aggressive due to fear and standoffish. The second time I saw her she wagged her tail due to her remembrance of me. Shelby is a dog that have lots of love to give but it is evident she has been let down by those who previously had her. I am currently a college student in my last semester of nursing school. Her treatment was estimated to be $1,500 dollars. While I would love to help her it is just not financially possible. I would love the opportunity to finish what I started and give Shelby a forever home.

Jackpot

Jackpot is a 13 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Swainsboro, GA, who needs $2,000 for CT scan of head.

Swainsboro, GA

My daughter got Jackpot from the pound in Florida. He had been adopted and brought back 3 times, due to separation anxiety. Since he already knew his name we kept it the same. He has been the best dog we ever got. He has helped my daughter through her anxiety, surgeries and having POTs. He had to have his right rear leg removed due to cancer. We have had him for 10 years now and was doing great All of a sudden Jackpot couldn't walk. He looked drunk and was throwing up. The urgent care vet and his vet believe it is old dog vestibule disease. Although, since he is not getting better after a little over a week he has gotten worse. The vet now says he needs a CT scan or MRI to make sure there is not a polyp or worse cancer. We have to carry him now. He also may need physical therapay. Although, he is big and part pit bull. He is so loving. He loves kids and anyone who will pet him. He has been there for my daughter through her surgeries, anxiety and is her best friend. Even though he is missing a leg he has been extremely active. We carry him everywhere now. But love him so much and don't want to lose him. He is part of the family. He already lost his sister from cancer. I am disabled myself but work part time. We do not want to lose him and would appreciate any and all help. He is such a big part of the family. We already lost his sister to cancer. I would not ask for help but he needs help so he can llive longer. Please help him!!!
