Help Lily Walk Forward — A Veteran’s Lifeline Needs Help Eight years ago, I rescued a puppy named Lily, never imagining how deeply she would change my life. As a disabled veteran, Lily became far more than a companion. She became my anchor — the steady presence that helped me through pain, isolation, and days when simply getting through felt impossible Recently, our world shifted when Lily was diagnosed with cancer in two of her toes. The only option to stop the disease and relieve her pain is amputation, which will be performed by Dr. Kelly’s surgical unit. The hopeful news is that Lily’s blood work is excellent, and her veterinary team believes she has a strong chance for a good, comfortable life after surgery. he total cost of Lily’s surgery and care is $1,000. I have been able to cover part of this expense, but as a disabled veteran, a full-time working clinical social worker, and a single individual with no family support, I cannot do this alone. Asking for help is incredibly hard, but the thought of losing Lily — after all we have been through together — is harder. Lily is deeply loved by everyone who meets her. I’ve served my country with honor, and now I’m asking for help to save my loyal, life-changing companion so she can stay by my side. Every donation and share matters. 💙🐾

Casper is a rescued stray who came into my life on a cold, bitter Halloween night in Geneseo, NY where I was attending college. Hence his name, Casper (the Friendly Ghost). He’s got me through some of life’s greatest hurdles including undergrad, Masters program, family deaths, roommate’s cancer diagnosis to name a few. I mean it when I say he’s my buddy. He even knows my car coming up the driveway What I thought was a “Sick Visit” turned into emergency procedures, specialty care, & hospitalization. A chest XR confirmed pleural effusion so significant it required emergent life-saving thoracocentesis & urgent transfer to Upstate Veterinary Specialties (feline cardiologist) where he was admitted for treatment & additional diagnostic procedures. He was diagnosed with a rare form of CHF. We share the most irreplaceable bond — “my buddy for life.” He’s a leader of the pack and the glue to our cat family. My family says he hears my car pulling up the driveway and waits for me at the bottom of the staircase looking down. He also gives the best “headbutts” when I hold him up to “see outside.” He’s strictly indoor but loves to roll in the sun. He’s my guardian angel watching over me. Unexpected emergency costs that insurance will not cover due to a “waiting period.” This diagnosis requires close follow up with a specialty (cardiac) veterinarian located an hour away. My goal is to provide the care he deserves, within reason, without financial restriction

My dog was a gift from my mother to my son. I’ve had her for 3 years, my boyfriend actually helped me pick her name. No, there aren’t any other pets in the house. I’m not actually sure what’s wrong but I think her leg is broken, One day she just started limping and at first I was confused on what was wrong, the day after she was walking normal again, than out of nowhere she was limping all the time & her leg started to get swollen. That’s what really started to concern me, I took her to VCA Animal Hospital, but I don’t have the money to cover what’s needed She is super active and friendly, a ball of fun, She loves attention can’t go 5 seconds without it. She moves around like she is the boss lol. But I Love it, her personality is amazing. She gets along with my son very well. Yes, she most definitely can be a talker at times. The financial support would mean a lot because I can’t afford to get any X-rays or anything like that and I just want her to get back to her regular happy self most importantly I want her to gain her weight back and run and walk around regular again.

She has a swollen leg and a tumor on her belly that needs urgent care. She also has an infection that needs to be looked at and taken care of. She is a good dog She loves everyone, when im sick she is there to make me feel better and now I would like to return the favor and be there for her she is my baby and I would do anything for her. It would mean alot to me if people helped me and I will be so happy if she is healthy again and not have anymore health issues. I love her so much she is my family

My cat Sebastian has been having medical issues ever since I adopted him when he was 3 months old. At that time he had a severe upper respiratory infection requiring me to make four different vet visits and finally getting the right antibiotic to work for him which was doxycycline. We of course think of Sebastian as part of the family. Recently I took Sebastian to the emergency vet due to a blockage in his urinary tract causing his bladder to almost rupture. Luckily he was able to urinate without surgery but has a 104° temperature meaning he has an infection. Since he was able to urinate himself he doesn't have to have the emergency surgery but will continue to be monitored for 48 hours. The final payment is $2,672.69 Sebastian is definitely one of a kind. Who has the best personality of a cat that I've ever seen. He is super friendly and really chill. He loves him to play and it's very friendly and gets along with everybody. Times are tough right now, and unfortunately I don't have a credit card to use to charge the bill My family is struggling as is especially with Christmas right around the corner He is staying at the VCA Bakersfield Pet Center here in Bakersfield, CA.

Makai was given to me as a gift to offer companionship and fill a void in my life. She has remained by my side through many ups and downs. When my mother lived with me, she and Makai became best friends. Since my mother’s passing, Makai and I miss her every day, and she continues to help make life a little easier to bear. Due to a fatty mass on abdomen that was getting infected, surgical intervention was recommended by All Pets Hospital. Although raising the necessary funds was challenging, I was able to cash in some retirement savings to cover the cost. During surgery, a small mass was incidentally discovered in her anal area, from which a sample was taken and sent for cytology. Unfortunately it was + for AGASACA. Makai loves everyone she meets. She rarely barks. She loves her toys and sometimes will have all scattered throughout the house. She is one of the best dogs. Has never chewed on anything that is not hers. She is an amazing dog that is loved by all. I cared for my mother until she sadly passed away a year and a half ago. After that, I became the caregiver for another family member who is on hospice, with no income. My dog is currently healthy, but they’ve said it’s an aggressive cancer, needing removed. I can' loose her

So I suffer from mental health issues and for years I been discussing an ESA with my pmhnp Psych APN- who agreed it would be good for me, I had seen a post on FB for these two bonded American Bullies to a good home!! What I didn’t know until I inquired a few days later after seeing the post over and over again for days was that these two were being crated in a rusty crate in a backyard in the cold Recently Sky injured her right back leg, probably hopping on and off the couch and bed- even with the big wedge and stairs I got her she refuses to use them- Madison Animal Hospital in Madison NJ a VCA animal hospital quoted me about $3,000.00 for X-rays and sedation and the whole nine yards to make see how badly her ACL is and therapy and I got her the meds already but I’m on SSI and live tight Sky is such a mush- I’ve had her and Ruger for a month now and she’s my fav! Don’t tell Ruger! But she has such a soft affectionate demeanor! Her love language is physical touch just like mine! When she’s unsure of new ppl she hides behind my leg and melts into me! U can tell they must have had some trauma cause if u raise ur voice they get scared- my couch hippo is such a cuddle bug and so sweet Due to mental health and physical health I’m on SSI, I even have a voucher for my apartment- I put myself in bank debt just getting them start up stuff and no family support or credit union will give me credit since I don’t exist credit wise! She deserves a second chance

Iris came into our lives as a ball of energy eager to take on the world! She immediately became the center of our world and was loved as one of us. Her name was given to her by her original owners and we decided she was none other than Iris. Iris has a lump that appeared suddenly on her shoulder. She needs to have this treated surgically as soon as possible die to the size of the lump. She will be Treated at North Shore Veterinary hospital in Dulith Minnesota. Iris loves plastic containers, rubber chickens, treats, humans, and other dogs. She loves to go on outdoor adventures on land and in water. She is always up for whatever we ask her to do and is amazingly snuggly as well. This is a major expense at an unfortunate time of the year in the holiday season. Our family of 5 would appreciate any bits of help that are extended. Financial support will help us provide more treatment options for Iris and give her the best chance to stay with us!
