Pepper

Pepper is a 3 Year Old Mix-Breed in Mesa, AZ, Who Needs $556 for Phlebotomy with Fluid Replacement.

Mesa, AZ

On February 14, 2022, a family members cat gave birth to a litter of kittens, marking Peppers entry into the world on Valentines Day. Pepper was destined for love from the very beginning, fitting for her birthday. She was adopted by her human mom Jessica, and their bond is history. Pepper now lives in Jessica’s apartment with her second mom, Hannah, and an older kitty sister, Beanie. After a long struggle with shakiness, lethargy, bloodshot eyes, inability to walk, and sezuires, Pepper was diagnosed with Primary Polycythemia, which is very rare in cats. This disease causes Pepper to produce too many red blood cells, making her blood thick and viscous. To treat her condition, Pepper receives oral chemotherapy and phlebotomies at ARISE Veterinary Center with Dr. Todd Carter. The moment Pepper hears an ice cube fall from the fridge, she is in the kitchen licking the ice cube before you even notice you spilled. And don’t leave your cup unattended, Pepper will lick every last drop of condensation off the cup before you take your second sip. Pepper is a lover through and through, and her nighttime cuddles like she is a baby in your arms can cure the saddest of days. It took a long time to get Peppers diagnosis due to the rarity of her condition, which resulted in many vet and emergency vet bills. Pepper is our sweet, talkative, cuddly baby, and being able to continue her care and give her the fighting chance she deserves is our priority

Fluffington

Fluffington is a 10 Year Old Nebelung in Providence , RI, Who Needs $2,000 for Tumor Reassessment and Testing / Removal.

Providence, RI

I've had Fluffington since he was born as his mom was my mom's cat (she is now mine too as i didn't want to separate them). He is now 10 years old with his birthday being oct 5, my lil libra. He is literally my best friend. He has been my lil emotional support friend. I love this cat so much. Its just me and my son and our 2 cats. Fluffington and his mom Sassy. I took him to caws to check his growth, told it was benign and safer to leave alone as anesthesia could cause problems with the way his liver levels were. Its been some years since then with no change in the growth. Recently it has doubled in size, causing his eye to droop a bit and not be able to fully close. Im terrified to put him under anesthesia but this now needs to be reevaluated/removed. My fluff chose me as his person. He sleeps by my head and boops my nose every morning to wake me up to give him his wet food. He actually listens when you say "lay down" lol he grew up with a dog for about 4 years and definitely acts like one. He loves routine. Sweet as ever, the vet labeled him the best cat ever. He loves to be held like a baby& sleep in the window sunbathing. His meows polite. I was recently let go from my job as the business plummeted. I currently have no vehicle as it is sitting needing extensive repairs. I also took in another mouth to feed back in January as my son's friend has no family and recently aged out of the foster system.

Cash

Cash is a 4 Year Old Dachshund in savannah, GA, Who Needs $9,000 for Condylar Fracture Left Leg.

savannah, GA

I adopted Cash about 3 years ago after my dog of twelve years had passed. He looks just like my Bruce who passed away, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to him. He was mischievous at first, jumped on counters, stole food, chewed, and barked constantly. My husband and I quickly came to love him as he loves our autistic son deeply. He is now the heart beat of our family! Friday, November 28th Cash broke his front left leg when our lab ran him over rushing to go outside. We rushed him to SVEC at 6:30pm. Due to cost, I opted to bring him back home for the weekend with pain medication until I could bring him back at 5am on Monday, December 1st until they could transfer him to Blue Pear, their surgery provider. Cash is incredibly special because he loves with my autistic son. He tries to sleep in his room every night. He puts up with every loud noise, all the spins, tight hugs, and the cat who loves to torment him. He loves to snuggle and sleep under the covers against my leg. He is a fierce protector of my son and doesn't let anyone in between him and my son. He's also a great little watch dog! This is definitely an unexpected pricy expense of possibly $9000. I've spent $2,400 this weekend. Cash means everything to my 6 year old. This is his first pet and I want him to be around for years to come. I want him to grow up having Cash as a loyal companion.
