Oreo

Oreo is a 18-month-old Mastiff Mix Dog in Ashby, MA, who needs $1,669 for Laceration repair.

Ashby, MA

In February of 2021 my husband and I made the choice to rescue a dog, we wanted a puppy for some time but never came across the right one for our family! Not until we met Oreo she was 4 mo old the last of her siblings to be rescued she came from Indian to Springfield MA where she spent most of her days in a window crate. We went to meet Oreo late after work one night and took her home with us Oreo is one of the family members, she has a great deep love for our three children. She eats breakfast and dinner with us every night. She sleeps in our bed every night and if the kids are sick or sad she will sleep with one of them she loves exploring our 8acres and is always going to the water to explore. Oreo loves going to the local dog park and playing with the other dogs. She loves fetch. Oreo loves her people, we have a bond like no other I’ve ever experienced before, Oreo loves bones and treats but she would rather hide them after a few chews then enjoy them until there gone she hides them all over the house under pillows in the coach of course she’s a trouble maker in the yard digging random holes and then hiding her treats or bones in them. Oreo is in need of medical attention due to being hit by a car, her back right leg is broken and she has an open very large Laceration the length of her leg. We are being treated by Townsend veterinarian hospital in Townsend Massachusetts by Dr. PJ she needs it closed up as to not contract infection and lose the leg. The longer we wait the more risk and pain Oreo suffers Our family is currently in a Financial hardship. We just welcomed a baby girl into the world but she came much earlier then planned and stayed three weeks in the hospital I was traveling over 1 hour each way daily to care for my infant during the days and home at night

Rollo

Rollo is a 1-year-old Pitbull in Tenino, WA, who needs $2,000 for surgery.

TENINO, WA

We got Rollo when he was 6 weeks old. My daughter had been begging for a puppy. And we are moving into a new home with a fenced in yard and finally decided it was time to add a fur baby into our lives. Our daughter helped pick the name Rollo. Hes named after a Viking ruler. We drove to the other side of Washington to get him because as soon as I saw him, I knew he was perfect. Rollo is very loved and spoiled. He sleeps in bed with us most nights, some times in his own bed. Hes been My daughter's best friend since we got him. She gets more excited to see him after school than any one else and she cuddles him every morning when she wakes up. He's been the light of our lives. My son and daughter gives him hugs and kisses every night before bed. He's such a lovey boy. The first unique thing we noticed with Rollo was even has a tiny puppy, he would try to attack and bite at wind. Like when he stuck his head out the window of a car. And he loves hearing people laugh. When my daughter laughs in her room he'll run in there and start licking her and want to play. And hes very gentle,With other dogs and kids. He'll nudge with his head instead of using teeth or anything Rollo fell down apartment stairs. I think he ran down too fast because he's not use to them and misses one and rolled all the way down. He has a fractured joint and I was told with out surgery he'll have life long problems that will only get worse with age. Scatter Creek Animal Clinic referred me to Summit Veterinarian Referral Center for his surgery that will cost up to $6,000. My fiance lost his job about 2 months ago and we've been in-between moving because we could no longer afford rent and hes been struggling to find a new job. My daughter is devastated about our pup, she calls him her brother. I just want nothing more than to make him better

Bentley

Bentley is a 8 year old Maltese in Upper Marlboro , MD, who needs $2,000 for Repair His Broken Jaw.

Upper Marlboro, MD

Eight years ago, when my child wished for a dog, my late boss—who sadly passed away from cancer—gifted us Bentley, a Maltese. He has been a beloved part of our family ever since. We live in a house with a yard where Bentley enjoys playing and chasing birds. He is very loved, well cared for, and truly spoiled with affection and attention in his happy, secure home. My beloved dog Bentley was recently attacked by a raccoon while going outside like he normally does. The attack left him with a broken jaw and deep wounds on his side. He is normally a very healthy, happy boy, but he now needs emergency surgery to survive. We have already paid as much as we possibly can, but the cost of the surgery is more than we can manage. He was seen at rocky gorge er Bentley is such a special part of our family. He runs to greet us the moment we come home and makes sure to check every room at night, as if he’s making sure everyone is safe. He takes turns sleeping with each family member so that no one ever feels left out. Bentley is incredibly loving and loyal—he hates being alone and always wants to be near us. He is also very well trained, which makes him a I am facing one of the hardest times of my life. I recently lost my job after my boss passed away, and I’m a single parent raising a 17-year-old. We are doing everything we can just to cover basic needs like rent, food, and bills, and there is simply no extra money left for

Murphy

Murphy is a 7-month-old Malinois/German Shepherd in Port Richey, FL, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Tuberosity Avulsion.

Port Richey, FL

Hi, my name is Billy, and meet Murphy! We’re both happy to meet you! I am a 49yo single man who has never been married, but have found my happiness and fulfillment in the companionship of my dogs, and I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. I rescued Murph from a sanctuary in South Carolina a little over a month ago and my little guy has had an arduous beginning to his short life. I am fully aware of the responsibilities of parenting a breed like this, and I’ve done copious research into training and the psychology of a Shepherd, but he’s still a PUPPY! Through the first month together, we have been ‘click-training’ developing incredible obedience drills and behaviors, and both of us love it! Since we live on the Gulf coast of Florida, he loves the beach! This poor guy fought Parvo (a typically fatal virus in puppies) with blood transfusions and his will to live, and that is WHY I knew my survivor was the one for me! During our first trip to the beach, we sat in the shade under a palm and created a bond that cannot and will not be broken… no matter what. Ever. Ever heard of “Tibial Tuberosity Avulsion?” Me neither, until a week ago. While in his crate (I was at work) my ninja escaped, and somehow, that will forever only be known to him an Jesus, he dislocated/broke both knees simultaneously. By the way he was walking when I got home, I thought he broke his back! After a couple local x-rays, it was obvious my Murph needed immediate surgery. Murphy had the necessary surgery on June 20th. I am full-time employed and work hard for every dime I have, but a surprise $6000 surgery is way beyond my financial means. This guy has a long healthy life ahead of him, I just need some help to make sure he has exactly that.

Fitz

Fitz is a 7 year old American Shorthair in Bakersfield, CA, who needs $4,040 for Diabetes Diagnostics.

Bakersfield, CA

Fitz came into our lives 9 years ago through adoption. We were looking to adopt one cat but left with two, Luna and fitz. They are brother and sister and couldn’t be separated. Out of both cats, Fitz is the most affectionate. He enjoys cuddles, pets, and snacks. Through the years we now have 5 cats and a dog. With him now being diabetic, this has made an impact financially for us. Fitz was ill on March 20th and throwing up blood. We immediately took him to VCA Animal Hospital late that night in fear he wouldn’t survive. He was taken back at about midnight and had a urine test. The tests showed he reached ketoacidosis, which is fatal. We were given the option to euthanize him or pay thousands towards his care. We chose to do what we can, and he is now diagnosed with diabetes When having many animals in our home, Fitz is the star of the show. His love towards every person that visits is unconditional. He seriously doesn’t know when to stop. He will sit on your lap and use his paws to touch your face, just to get the attention he desires. This is the cat that would make the biggest emotional impact if I couldn’t see him anymore. This was an unexpected, sudden financial expense. That required us to use multiple credit cards and whatever we had saved. We know it might have not been the smartest decision but our love for Fitz was unconditional and hopeful towards what’s to come.

Gregory

Gregory is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Spencer, IN, who needs $2,000 for Cancer Screenings, Diagnostics, and Surgery.

Spencer, IN

We found each other at my second job back in late 2018. He was dumped there as a kitten with a few others, but he was the only one the manager hadn't been able to get rid of yet after four or so years. I took him in so the manager couldn't poison his food. I named him Gregory after Ol' Greg from the show The Mighty Boosh. I took him to the MCHA for treatment for congestion a couple years ago, the vet prescribed him a lung dewormer and said if it didn't work it was because of his heart murmur. It's gotten worse and he has started losing weight. I took him back and they've lied to me outright about breathing treatments, overprescibed antibiotics that caused bleeding. We are scheduled with a new vet to help him. He is special because he loves to hold and be held. He sleeps on me, whichever side he can lay on. He loves his bubby very much, and gives the sweetest kisses. He is gentle and kind, he has loved me more sweetly than my blood relatives. He is intelligent and kind, and comforts me when I cry by touching my face with his paw. He deserves a long and happy life with his bubby. I am single, I pay all bills on my own. I can only afford so much on my own. I have applied for assistance and that only covers so much, and I had to use most of it on an emergency hospital visit due to bleeding he experienced as a result of his previous vet overmedicating

Mister

Mister is a 10 month old American Shorthair in Isanti, MN, who needs $1,833 for Exploratory Abdomen Surgery.

Isanti, MN

We got Mister from a pet rescue event from Blaine Minnesota back in August 2024. We adopted him and his sister. His original name was Franklin but after a few days we named him Mister because he was just the silliest kitty getting into places he shouldn’t be in and doing goofy things. We renamed his sister Sweets because she always just wants to be around you and have cuddles and pets. Mister became ill in the beginning of February. We brought him to an urgent vet who gave him anti-nausea medication. Mister continued to get worse. We brought him to another urgent vet who gave him dewormer. He seemed to be getting better. But one morning he became very lethargic not eating or drinking. we brought him to access veterinary care who were able to work with us on getting him help. Mister is a very playful curious kitty. He loves to play with his sister, and human family. He always wants to be with us. Mister likes to play fetch like a dog, chase his toys and look out our big sliding glass door. He has to be the first one to investigate if he hears an unfamiliar sound. Mister also loves to cuddle if your sitting/laying down. His favorite toy is the cat spring toys. My hours have been cut at work, I’ve been doing little odd jobs here and there to get extra income to help with our finances but it doesn’t seems to be enough. I am also currently pregnant. To have mister back to himself would be amazing.

Penny

Penny is a 8-year-old Labrador in Bowling Green, MO, who needs $2,000 for TTA-LHL.

Bowling Green, MO

Penny came into our lives 8 years ago as a tiny puppy, a gift for my son's 8th birthday. From then on, she's been his constant companion, even as he attends school online. Despite growing to 80 lbs, she still thinks she's a lap dog, curling up with him every chance she gets. Penny is a beloved member of our household. Usually, she sleeps upstairs with us, but her leg injury prevents her. She loves walks and greets everyone warmly, even strangers and other animals. Her sociable nature brings joy to our family every day. Penny is truly special because of her intuitive nature, always sensing and responding to our emotions. Her playful spirit brings joy to our lives every day, making her an irreplaceable part of our family. Penny's demeanor is usually serene, she’ll gently vocalize or boop us if feeling overlooked, ensuring her presence is noticed. Per the veterinary recommendation Penny needs surgery (TTA) Tibial Tuberosity Advancement: Cranial Cruciate Ligament Repair. Essentially, she has a ligament rupture in the knee joint. This injury is somewhat similar to an ACL tear in humans. Repairing this injury before her other hind leg experiences a similar injury is creating additional strain and concern. With finances ties up in divorce, affording this unexpected pet care is daunting. Restoring her health means everything, bringing us all joy and relief.
