Sampson

Sampson is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Coventry, CT, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Repair or Amputate His Leg.

COVENTRY, CT

We adopted Samsung when he was found at about 5 weeks old clinging to a gutter during a rainstorm. He was small and fighting for life covered in fleas and mites with an injury to his lower jaw and a severe upper respiratory infection. We we nursed him back to health and he grew to become a loving, compassionate pet for my two small girls. He is loved as much as anyone could love. Sampson recently was injured we Believe possibly struck by a car. We took him to the vet and found he has a severely fractured upper arm that requires surgical intervention or will need to be amputated. We are desperately trying to give him his leg back because he is such a young, healthy, vibrant cat. Sadly I am out of work currently and finances are very tight so we are hoping of theirs can help Samsung likes to do dress up in tea parties with my girls but can also be seen outside grooming the chickens and playing tag. He is also a friend to the neighborhood, often seen walking alongside pedestrians or riding with children in strollers along our street. Is friendly to everyone and truly brings joy to our hearts. Even delivery people stop to stay a few minutes and get a cuddle. I was a nurse in an emergency room until I went out on maternity last August and became disabled after some complications. Since then, my position was terminated due to a merger while I was out on disability and I'm currently living on an extremely limited income.

Tippecanoe

Tippecanoe is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Indianapolis, IN, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.

Indianapolis, IN

I found Tippy running around the parking lot of the vet clinic I used to work at in a snow storm - I had no intentions of bringing another dog into my household having just lost my previous dog suddenly and unexpectedly. While on her mandated 30 day stray hold I’d visit her every morning before work and before I knew it fell in love. She lives with me and her 3 feline and 1 canine siblings. Tippy has a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament. Identical to our ACL, this ligament doesn’t have a blood supply to it so the body is incapable of repairing it. Without surgical intervention the joint stabilizes itself via scar tissue, however she will never be fully sound again and her risk of rupturing the other CCL increases 10x. Cottage Animal Clinic + VSx Indy Tippy loves nothing more than running and chasing things. I owe her the chance to live her life to the fullest because she saved my life last year. I had to suddenly leave my abusive husband when he turned violent one night - when he started hitting me she jumped on him, bit him, giving me time to run out of the house. I owe her more than I’ll ever be able to repay, she gave me a second chance. I am in the middle of a divorce from aforementioned man, but truth be told this surgery is just a lot of money for anyone. Times are hard for the majority of Americans, I don’t think I’m any worse off than most these days. Any help is so appreciated and will be paid forward

Maggie Mae

Maggie Mae is a 6 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback in Waukesha, WI, who needs $10,000 for Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy.

Waukesha, WI

Maggie is our sweet 6-year-old rescue who’s been part of the family since she was just 10 weeks old. From the start, she’s had a gentle soul and a protective streak. Though her walks have become less frequent while she awaits surgery for CCL repair on both legs. Maggie’s mobility has taken a hit, she can no longer go on walks or run like she used to, due to a torn CCL. She’s scheduled for a TPLO procedure with Dr. Kevin Kroner at Care Surgery Center, a trusted specialist in orthopedic veterinary care. The surgery is essential to restore her quality of life, but it comes with a steep price tag—around $10,000. I simply can't afford it on a fixed income. Despite her current limitations, Maggie’s spirit remains strong. She still watches over the cats like a furry guardian and finds joy in quiet moments. Thunderstorms, though, reveal her softer side—she’ll curl up close, trembling until the skies calm. Snow has always been her playground, and we hope she’ll be bounding through it again someday. Maggie isn’t just a dog; she’s our companion. Just last week, I lost my father, who owned the duplex where I live. His passing has been inI live on a fixed income, my father just passed away and my rent will be going up because of the new owners. Thankfully I won't have to move, so I will be able to keep my beloved pets
