Chance

Chance is a 10 month old Shih Tzu in Fresno, CA, who needs $800 for Hip Alignment/Wound Treatment.

Fresno, CA

As my husband was landscaping a clients house I was sitting in his truck and instantly noticed the front yard across the street from our account had a bunch of puppies, I then noticed how 6 puppies started brutally attacking this one puppy(chance) I ran over and we retrieved him form the yard the owner didn’t care and he was covered in ticks we couldn’t find it in our hearts to leave him He is now suffering from severe side effects from the excessive amount of ticks that were all over him. We are still treating them frequently, but he obtained substantial injuries from getting attacked. He must have been getting attacked for more than just that day that we found him because his hips are completely displaced. He whines every time he moves, and he has wounds and scabs all over him. Chance of special to us because he has not had an easy clearly and other dogs have been very cruel to him his own siblings that came from the same letter, but he came into our house and he gave all of our dogs, love and kisses and he is gentle and kind and is fighting for his life I’m afraid that his health issues are going to shorten his lifespan and this poor guy deserves a fighting chance <3 We never intended on getting another animal, considering we already have four dogs. We take great care of our dogs, but we work very hard and come up very short quite often we cannot afford another dog, but we got attached to him as fast as he got attached to us.

Kiki

Kiki is a 9 year old American Longhair in Ballston Lake , NY, who needs $841 for Lumpectomy.

Ballston Lake, NY

Five years ago, Kiki came into my life as a gift from my late aunt Penny, who passed away. Losing my aunt was tough, but Kiki has been a source of comfort. We’re currently looking for a new home, and she’s staying with a friend, separated from their dogs. Being away from us has been hard on Kiki. This fundraiser is to ensure she gets the medical care needed to come home to her family. Last year, Kiki developed a growth behind her ear. The vet said it isn’t cancerous, but it has continued to grow and become uncomfortable for her. It keeps cracking open, raising the risk of infection. She needs surgery at Burnt Hills Vet to have it removed. I’m struggling to cover the vet bills. This weighs heavily on my heart, as I want to see Kiki healthy and happy again. Kiki is truly one of a kind—sweet, playful, and affectionate. She loves sleeping on my son’s pillow with her paw on his forehead. Kiki is quite the talker, often meowing back at me, especially in the morning when she demands food. She knows when I need her, curling up beside me. Now she needs me and it breaks my heart I haven’t been able to help her yet. Kiki is one of a kind—sweet, playful, and affectionate. She loves sleeping on my son’s pillow. She is a real chatterbox, she meows back at me, especially in the morning for food. She knows when I need her, curling up beside me during tough times. Now she needs me.

Samantha

Samantha is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Sturbridge, MA, who needs $4,000 for Surgery- Removal of Nail Growth and Digit.

Sturbridge, MA

We adopted Samantha, known as “Sam,” in 2014 when she was 13 weeks old. She was a rescue. Sam was a challenging puppy. We don’t know what she went through, but she did not trust us and ran off all the time. Sam has grown into the best dog. She has grown to trust and respect us as we do her. Sam has been through so much with me and my kids, and I can't imagine life without her. Sam is family. A few months ago I noticed that Sam's toenail looked extremely wrong. It is 10 times the normal size and her toe is red and swollen from the nail growth. She cant do the things she love like walks and is in constant pain. I called our vet, and they referred me to VSC of Sturbridge. I have brought Sam here 3 times now for visits, tests and medication. The confirmed that surgery is the only option Sam is so special to us. She has been in our family for over a decade! It's so crazy that she has grown up with my kids. My son is now 15, and my daughter is 18, who were 3 and 6 when we got Sam. Sam is like one of my children. She loves everyone in our family, always excited to see us and we love her so much! Sam loves going for walks, rides, and just spending time with the family. The estimate for Sam’s surgery is $4,000. I would have to take out a loan to cover this expense. If Sam could walk without pain, it would mean so much to me and my family. I know that one day I will be able to pay this forward. Thank you for reading my post. God Bless.

Geo

Geo is a 6 year old American Shorthair in Toronto, ON, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Medical Care and Support.

Toronto

Geo his brother and three siblings came into my life because I rescued their feral mother feral father and loved them from second they were born. He and his brother are very bonded very close although they're extreme opposites and character and physical characteristics to polar opposites. Jill is the clown to you is the demanding demonstrative and loving This situation that I'm looking for support and help with is emergency of the worst kind. It came on suddenly and unexpectedly and without any warning or signs. He was an excruciating pain and I rushed him to the emergency vet in the middle of the night to seek help and it seems like it's bladder or urinary tract blockage infection or problem that needs extensive tests and life saving procedures Geo is one of a kind He is strongly bonded to me and his brothers He fetches marbles and is very vocal and demonstrative with his affection He sleeps right beside me every night he has such a loud perk and he's such a character and he's so beautiful and soft and loving and irreplaceable. Absolutely adores his brother and they are so bonded and so interactive with each other even at 6 years old I recovering from a split from my long-term spouse and a devastating accident that limited my mobility affected my mental health and I am on limited budget of long-term disability now and struggling to make ends meet. Geo and his brother Hope save me and my reason to keep

Ringo

Ringo is a 16 year old Mix-Breed in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $1,000 for Ongoing Heart Disease Care.

Minneapolis, MN

Ringo happened into my life when someone I knew found him left behind in a foreclosed house he was working on. Ringo fell asleep in his lap to the song Octopus’s Garden by The Beatles, leading to his name. He was gifted to me complete with his current abandonment issues from his experience. He now lives with me only, and I work from home to accommodate his need for someone’s constant presence! Currently in Ringo’s old age, he has gathered quite a few diagnosis: FIV, heart arrhythmia, heart disease, and early signs of dementia. He began treatments for his heart disease in February, needing multiple scans, ultrasounds, and heart monitors to study his vitals and give him treatment. He’s currently on 3 life long medications and is a regular patient at Mission Animal Hospital. Ringo’s personality and gentle soul touches every life he meets - people, dogs and even hamsters. He is my best friend in the world and many people’s favorite cat. He will come when you call him, follows me from room to room and nightly he sleeps with his head in my hand and his paw on my forehead. He comes out with me to markets to meet people and make friends! He’s lovable to everyone he meets! Ringo’s several diagnosis’s he has completely financially drained me, and I don’t regret a dollar I’ve spent, but I’m struggling to afford ongoing care. His medications alone cost me over 100 monthly and I have another senior cat who has ongoing health needs and monthly meds
