Luna came into our lives a year ago when we adopted her from the local shelter. At the shelter her name was already “Luna,” and although we tried calling her “Princess,” we kept going back to Luna because it truly fit her. She is the only pet in our home, which has made her bond with us even stronger. From the start she brought so much love and light into our lives, always wagging her tail and fin Recently, Luna suffered a broken femur, and she now needs emergency surgery to repair it. Without this procedure, her only other option would be euthanasia, which I can’t bear to think about. She is still young and full of life, and with surgery, her doctors say she has an excellent chance of healing and regaining her mobility. Unfortunately, the cost of this surgery is more than I can afford on m Luna is energetic, loving, and truly the heart of our home. She has a playful bond with my son, and watching them together always brings joy to our family. She loves running outside, exploring the yard, and feeling free in the open air. Luna is happiest when she’s playing or cuddling close, and her loyalty and affection have made her such a special part of our lives. She is more than just a pet—sh I am currently living paycheck to paycheck, which makes it impossible to afford an unexpected veterinary surgery. Hello, and meet Eden! I rescued her from a breeding facility. She would not take to a litter anymore so they counted her as “trash”. I gladly took her in and she has been a savior in my life! I was going through a hard time with losing my father and she has been a light to my dark! She loves to feel the cooler weather blowing through her hair and she loves belly scratches! Eden is 6 years old and was never spayed. She developed something called pyrometra which is an infection in her uterus. She has a fever of 106 and can barely stand! This surgery is life saving and she cannot go without it. When the vet told me this today my heart sunk. She surgery is 3000 and she was seen today at quail corners vet hospital in Raleigh nc. She loves her treats and going to explore new places. She has went with me everywhere since I have gotten her and is a very smart girl! She loved to flop on the floors of the stores and give you a smile that is worth millions! She sticks her feet out and acts like an animal rug is what my family says! She loves to run around and play fetch with mr chicken her toy. She loves playing dress up! I am a full time collage student with loans over my head. I have applied for credit cards for her and I want a full life with my girl! She has not lived enough and this would mean the world to me. She was life changing and I need to be there for her!

MissyMiss was at a foster home where she gave birth to 6 kittens. I picked her up and she just melted in my arms. She came home to live with two chihuahuas. They were well behaved as soon as I put her down. Now she chases them, laying in wait under the picnic table and chases them in the yard. Missy's brought joy back into my life. She gets me up at 4:40am each morning to be fed. I love my furbaby Missy has a mass in the left ear canal that stops the ear from draining properly, causing ear infections. The mass must be removed to allow draining/healing. The ear can't drain so now her sinus is affected. Miss has trouble breathing. It has effected her activity. She sleeps more than normal. She is being treated at Dermatology for Animals. MissyMiss is an enigma. She has to be nearby, but doesn't want to sit in your lap when the arm of the chair will do. Needing prednisone and ear drops every day, she doesn't want to be touched or caught for treatment. Missy lives with Rocky and Buck and is always waiting to attack. She loves my husband follows him everywhere. She wants to be loved, but still working on trust. She's my treasure. We are on a fixed income of social security and a small retirement. So far, So far, it's been $2000 for her treatment and now looking at $4000 more. Some have suggested giving her away. We can't do that, she crawled under our skin and into our hearts. Bless her little soul.

Bae Nikki and her sister Bindlebee were dropped on the farm we live on 13 years ago. It was pouring rain so my husband went out and found Bindlebee. We had to wait for Bae Nikki to come closer, looking for her sister. She’s always been the quiet one, so sweet and gentle. They were both inside as out as they wanted to be. Nikki was under our porch as my husband was feeding animals supper. She was finished and wandered next door while he was busy. A truck backed out and caught her tail, de-gloving it and cutting one of her legs and 2 small fractures on her pelvic bone. Crocker animal hispital in Franklin ky cleaned up and meds. Needs tail amputated and removed inside her body is separated. Nikki is a simple, quiet, sweet and gentle soul who loves affection and is very laid back. Even now, injured, she’s mostly quiet and accepting. Breaks my heart to see her hurt and not be able to help. My husband is disabled and I only make &19 per hour. I lost a job 2 years ago that oaid better, and my babies don’t deserve to suffer, I have $140 to her emergency care. A sponsee lovingly oaid the rest of ER care but she needs surgery funds.

Dobby

Dobby is a 4 month old American Shorthair in Mountain City, TN, who needs $2,000 for Veterinary Hospitalization for Wound Care.

Dobby is a four-month-old stray baby boy kitten from Mountain City, Tennessee. He weighs 2.9 pounds. Dobby had an unfortunate incident with an unhappy dog on Monday, September 8th. As a result, his bottom was damaged and there is a large quarter size open wound on his little rear end. The good news is that Dobby can still pee & poop (yay!) and he has excellent litter box manners. Dobby is eating and everything is good on the “front end” as the vet says. He has been at VCA Animal hospital since Tuesday, September 9th. He has received flea and ear mite treatment, antibiotics and hydrotherapy. Currently his wound does not require surgery (which is miraculous). However, his wound simply needs some time to heal. This requires daily cleaning, medicine and monitoring. Personal funds have been used for his treatment thus far, but the rate going forward for his care at VCA Highlands Animal Hospital of Abingdon, Virginia will be about $130 per day until the wound heals a little more and he can be brought to a loving home. Dobby is very much a people-friendly kitten. He is not aggressive and not scared. He is a purring machine and wants nothing but to give and receive affection. While most kittens would be terrified, he is happily in the safest and most loving environment he has ever known.

In 2019, we welcomed Rainbow into our family. She was rescued from a former coworker who was on her way to the dog pound. The name Rainbow was suggested by our youngest daughter, and we decided to make it official. We wrote down our name suggestions, put them in a hat, and let Mawmaw draw the winning name. As luck would have it, Rainbow was the chosen name, and our daughter was over the moon! This morning around 6 am, I noticed Rainbow wasn't her usual happy self. Normally, she'd run to me while I'm making lunch for my daughter. But today, she was having trouble walking. Things took a turn for the worse when she fell down the stairs and struggled to use the bathroom. After dropping off my daughter at school, I took Rainbow to the emergency vet, and the diagnosis was devastating Rainbow, our lovable dog, is going through a tough time. She's usually a bundle of energy, spreading joy and love to everyone around her. But currently, it's sad to see her struggling to scooting across the floor - it's just not like our lively Rainbow. As a stay-at-home mom, I'm responsible for taking one of my daughters to and from a private school that specializes in supporting children with learning issues. Given our fixed income, we're having to adjust to this unforeseen expense, which has arisen suddenly.

We have had Emmet since he was 6 months old. He is a maltese/yorkie mix that looks mostly maltese. He was named after the character Emmet in the Lego Movie by our son. Emmet suddenly started having complex partial seizures on July 19th. He has had an average of 3 per week since then. Because of his age, epilepsy is less common than other causes of seizures like a brain tumor or infections. He is being seen at Veterinary Neurological Center in Phoenix, AZ. They have recommended an MRI but it is too expensive for us to pursue without assistance. Emmet loves people and other dogs! He is such a sweetheart. He loves being with his family, going for walks, eating treats, playing with puzzle toys, taking naps, and belly rubs. This is a sudden, major medical expense that is happening at a time when we are experiencing health issues as well. He is like a brother to our son and it would mean so much to him to know what is going on and potentially be able to help him get better.

Curly is a younger brother to our other Australian shepherd Johnny Ringo. We got him from a friend that breeds pure aussies. We got him when he was 8 weeks old and he right away became family. Curly Bill is the most playful and also very spoiled dog that would think he lives in luxury. He will also give in return an endless amount of kisses. He is great with my grandbabies and is a great dog. Curly was taken to Caring Hearts in Arizona and had a diagnosis of Parathyroid adenoma. After almost $3000 already put in for treatment at home his diagnosis requires surgery that is $6000. If we are able to get him the surgery he needs he is expected to make a full recovery and live a healthy full life. I don’t want his life to end just because I can’t afford his life saving surgery. The best way to describe Curly is like a toddler. He gets into everything, but then looks at you like your the best thing in the world to him. He has grown attached to my grandbabies and always playing with them and making sure they are safe. Truly a protector and a herd dog. My wife was laid off from her job so we lost half our income and I’m a general contractor that went through a loss on a couple jobs that pressed us for money. Curly is not just a dog to us. He is one of us and the thought of him being gone is devastating to everyone.

I first got Sofia about two months ago from an animal shelter in our area. I had been pregnant for about two months and ended up losing our baby. It was a difficult time and I had been spiraling into a depression when my boyfriend surprised me with Sofia. When Sofia was initially attacked it was September 1st and it wasn’t so bad, we were feeling hopeful. We had taken her to VEG ER for Pets in Chandler, AZ where she later removed her stitches the next morning. Over the course of the week her conditioned worsened and necrosis began over her abdominal area. Sofia is the sweetest girl ever. Despite her age she has always been so full of energy and she’s such a silly baby. She constantly plays with her tail like a kitten and she loves to sit *right* in the middle of every door way like a little guard. She’s been such a strong girl during all of this, she’s the baby I never had and I never want to lose her. Not so soon, not like this. Im 19 on 09/17 & working minimum wage. Paying the last months rent broke our pockets, covering her first hospital bill will all our credit. I cant express how much having Sofia’s treatment covered would help. We’d finally be able to be at easy after such a trying year.
