Rosco is a 10 year old Boxer in Mishawaka, IN, who needs $800 for Epulis Surgery.

I got Rosco when he was 8 weeks old. We got him from a breeder in Lagrange Indiana. He has been a joy to have in our family. He loves my kids and gets excited whenever they are around. Rosco had a mass removed from his leg a couple years ago that was cancerous. He has been doing good since. I recently took him for his yearly check up and to get his vaccinations. I noticed some months back he had a tooth that appeared to be rotting. I asked the vet and he advised Rosco would need surgery. Apparently with boxers their gums tend to grow over their teeth and cause problems for them. Rosco is very special to our family. He is the sweetest boy. He loves everyone and loves attention. He enjoys playing with his tennis balls in the house as much as I am against it my kids allow it to happen 😂. Rosco loves to lay and sleep with my kids, they of course enjoy it also. My middle daughter was recently in a traumatic car accident and I have been out of work. I wont be returning to work til at least the middle of August possibly. I got behind on some bills and need to play catch up. I just need some help so Rosco can get this surgery

Choco

Choco is a 9 month old Labrador Retriever in Homeland, CA, who needs $2,000 for FHO Surgery.

Choco has been with me since he was 6 weeks old. The minute I saw him I just fell in love! I heard that brown Labs had such a loving laid back personality and Choco proved that rumor right. In the last month I noticed he started favoring his left leg. He does have 2 sisters around the same age and they play all the time. I thought he just injured his leg from the rough play. I noticed Choco started wanting to rest more so I made a vet appointment for him. After an exam and x-rays with Haven Animal Hospital, it was determined he has hip Dysplasia with mild osteoarthritis. Choco is such a loving doggy! The love he has for everyone is just comforting. He is so good with my grand babies too. It’s hard to think he was in pain all this time. Our vet referred him to Inland Empire Veterinary Surgical Specialist. After speaking with them the estimate for the surgery is $4800-$5800. Unfortunately this is not something I can afford. Even getting care credit, it would be a $500 payment a month which I do not have. I can’t imaging Choco being in pain for the rest of his life. Please help if you can. 🙏🏼

Frida

Frida is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Landover, MD, who needs $2,000 for Right TPLO +/- Internal Brace.

We adopted Frida, a smart and active puppy. She helped us foster over 30 pups in the course of a year, including Sadie, our second dog. Frida is our marathoner with an endless amount of energy, while Sadie is our sprinter preferring to sit and keep an eye on everyone. Both are doggy daycare bosses! Frida has a closer bond with our 18 month son. They play ball together and cuddle before nap time. Frida completely tore her ACL and needs surgery. Apparently, in dogs the ACL tears from a disease that breaks down the ligament so dogs that tear one knee will usually tear the other knee within the next 1-3 years. Frida will be having TPLO surgery to reconstruct the bones in her right knee to more closely resemble the human knee so that she will not need the ACL Frida makes me believe the saying that your previous dog sends you your next one. Frida is everything I ever wanted in a dog. She goes everywhere with us: river tubing, running and swimming in the creek, or playing in the waves on the beach. She is always right by my side whether we are out or at home, and she literally tries to smother me with her love. And she is so patient with my son. When it rains, it pours. We usually have savings to account for any pet emergencies, but I am between jobs. Frida's surgery will cost between $6100 - $7357. She can't go to daycare or run and do zoomies at home. She is putting more strain on her one good knee.

Taz

Taz is a 10 month old Labrador Retriever in Cordova, MD, who needs $2,000 for Foreign Object Surgery.

Taz came into our life as a puppy, about eight weeks old. He has been with us ever since. He had a sister, Ginger, who passed. He also has a brother Toby, who has diabetes, which is one of the reasons we are seeking assistance. We are already paying for diabetes treatment for the other pup, so it would help greatly to have any assistance with Taz. He is a loyal companion. We all love him. Taz is at the vet now in EastonMD, trying to get lifesaving treatment. We know he has eaten a foreign object and the cost right now is about $2000. Will update this as we go. OMG so many reasons. I have never seen a more tolerable dog with small children. He is sweet and has the greatest personality. I don’t think we can live without him. 😢 Not enough emergency fund, another dog with diabetes treatment that came up unexpected. Trying to cover the other dog, as well as a kitten we recently found in a dumpster and now Taz.

Bento

Bento is a 2 year old Siberian Husky in Fairview, NC, who needs $2,000 for Cataract Surgery for Both Eyes.

We rescued Bento from a hoarding situation when he was about 6 months old. He has been the joy of the family ever sense. He is so sweet with our cat and our two daughters. We even call him the baby sitter as he never leaves our new baby alone. He is the best dog I have ever met. At around 1.5 years old, we noticed grayish-white circles appearing in his black pupils in his eyes. We took him to the vet who referred us to a veterinary hospital called SAVES (South Asheville Veterinary Emergency Specialty. They informed us he had something called juvenile cataracts. He is 80% blind. Without surgery, he will loose his eyesight and likely develop glaucoma. Bento loves being called "good boy." He is the best boy and so sweet with everyone he meets. His favorite activity is lounging on the couch with the cat. His favorite spot in the car is right next to our baby's carseat. He loves going to the French Broad River dog park too. I recently spent a lot in medical bills following my at risk pregnancy and risky induction and baby's follow up care. I do not have any extra money for Bento's surgery at this time. The surgery is going to cost close to $5,500.

Max

Max is a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Leland, NC, who needs $2,000 for CCL Surgery.

We got Max from the animal shelter. We had recently had to put my other dog down and I was completely devastated and so was everyone else. We went to go look at puppies and came across Max. He immediately fit right in with us and became part of the family right away. Since then he has stolen all of our hearts. He is now 5 years old and I can’t imagine not being able to help him. He is my baby. Max recently started limping. At first we thought he just needed rest so we crated him and kept him from playing. We were finally able to get him to the vet and found out he has a ruptured acl. He is currently on pain medication and anti-inflammatory medication. The surgery is $4,000 Max is a big good ball. He is the most loving dog and is amazing with the kids. He loves to snuggle and sleeps under the blanket. He is my heart. I look forward to coming home and seeing him waiting and wagging his tail and his big head in the window. We are his whole world and he is absolutely ours. My husband is the only one currently working and we are on a tight income with the kids. My one son is autistic so I have stayed home with him until he gets ready to start kindergarten and has a some what normal schedule come august.

My dog was a gift from my fiance. Turns out, he was the best gift a woman could ever receive. He was always there for me in life. During my ups and downs. Champ was the missing puzzle piece I always wanted. So grateful to have received him. He's a family dog. Very sociable. Champ was always the only dog until 2023. That's when our new addition Chelsea joined us. She's Champ's best friend. Champ has a mass cell sarcoma tumor. He's been having this for a couple of years. It started out small, and has now became much larger. I didn't receive the proper knowledge of this tumor and what it consist of until I researched it myself this year. He has to have a blood test, xrays, and surgery. $6'000.00 Champ is special because we share a special bond. He's been more loyal to me than anyone I've ever met. He's always been my protector. My happy thing when I'm down. My friend when I had no company. My lunch buddy when I had no one to eat with. What I'm trying to say is, without him I won't be at my best. He's my happy place. My kids and I love him. Please help us. I'm in a tight spot financially. I'm in between jobs until August 2024. Although it may not seem too far away, it's actually very far away when your love one is counting on you. I hope and pray someone reads my story and hear the love in my heart for my pet. Dexter is such an amazing dog! My son and I rescued him 7 years ago and it was the best decision. I don’t think he had the best life before coming to live with us. He is so loved and taken care of now. He loves car rides and being outside. He loves to take naps as well. He sleeps in bed with me every night and goes on trips when we go. Dexter had a small spot on him at the start of the year and I knew it needed looked at. We went to the vet and they said it was most likely skin cancer but because it was so small not to do anything with it then. If it grew bring him back. In. Matter of 3 months it was huge and much worse. He now needs it removed. He goes to Renfro vet services. Dexter loves everyone he meets! He especially likes to go to grandma and grandpas house. He doesn’t play with toys but he loves his treats. He had two siblings (cats) that he puts up with lol. I am a a single mom to a teenager and things are hard as they are for most people now days. I have always done whatever my animals needed but I just don’t have the money at the moment to pay for this. I work all week and barely keep up with the bills.

Brady

Hi all! As some of most of you may know, I inherited Brady when my dad passed away in February of 2023. He is the last piece of my dad that I have, and I want to make my dad proud by taking the best care of him possible. This year, Brady has had a sudden onset of allergies. I took him to the vet 7 weeks ago and he received a Cytopoint injection and wow, what an immediate relief it gave him. Unfortunately, this is only a temporary solution and he’s started itching quite a bit again meaning he’ll have to receive another injection. This medication lasts 4-6 weeks and we were so lucky to make it to week 7! Brady is my emotional support animal, a huge part of my family and mental well being. He is the absolute best, loves to give hugs and kisses. When he senses I’m feeling anxious, he’ll sit on my chest to give me that weighted feeling I need for relief. I’m unable to work due to agoraphobia (a severe anxiety disorder), so getting by is tough. Having Brady healthy and comfortable is of the utmost importance!
