Morgan

Morgan is a 7 year old Siberian Husky in Asheville, NC, who needs $2,000 for TPLO surgery.

In 2021 we were living in an apartment complex in Asheville, Morgan belonged to our next door neighbor. She was treated extremely poorly and when they had a baby, they decided to rehome her. Enter us! We asked if they would rehome her to us and they said yes! She was 12 lbs under weight, abused, kept in a crate too small for her so we took a few months to rehab her and now she’s a service dog! About a year ago she was diagnosed with a partial CCL tear and was put on strict exercise rest and no jumping. Over the last year it unfortunately worsened and tore fully last month. She is now being seen by Dr.McNicholas at SAVES here in Asheville. Where she will receive a TPLO surgery for her left hind leg. The surgery is approximately $6100 at the most expensive point. Morgan is my seizure alert and cluster headache alert dog. She provides alerts 20 minutes ahead of a seizure by smelling the chemical change in my body and then she was trained to tell me by using a colorful tab that she picks up (it hangs on her collar). She is also trained to make me sit and to apply deep pressure therapy to reset my nervous system. Morgan saves my life every single day My wife and I are on Disability and make a combined income of 16,000 a year. Monthly I make 628 and I’m trying desperately to work and make money to pay for the surgery. Having Morgan be able to run and play and eventually come back to work would be life changing

Ozzy

Ozzy is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Vancleave , MS, who needs $2,000 for Leg Amputation.

I found ozzy when he was about 3 months old, he was living with an elderly gentleman who was unable to provide for him and gave him to me. We had had ozzy for a little over a year now. But while we were out of town ozzy escaped from the pet sitter and was missing for 7 weeks before we him. Unfortunately he was hit by a car while he was gone. We taken him to two vets which depleted our funds. After taking ozzy to the they recommended amputation but said it will cost between $2500 and $4000 which I do not have. It’s very sad to watch what was a very happy and lovable dog stay in misery, any help will be greatly appreciated. Ozzy is a very kind and lovable soul, he loves kids and loves playing with other animals, he is also a bit of a hoarder, constantly gathering his toys and storing the under the dining room table I have a job, I have always worked but in today’s world money doesn’t seem to go very far. His last two vet visits already cost over $1000 which has left us in quite the financial strain.

Covid

My dog’s name is Covid. We got him as a puppy right when the pandemic happened and our state was on lockdown which is why we named him Covid. I got him from a breeder I searched online. I mostly got him for my son who has level three autism as a companion for us since it gets lonely for us at times also I really missed having a dog, my childhood dog passed at age 16 when my son was a newborn. We live in Wittmann Arizona and my dog got bit by a wild animal, I’m assuming a coyote and tore up his tail. I took him to Animal Medical Center of Surprise and they quoted me $2,087 to get his tail amputated to avoid infection, it’s really tore up so they did not suggest just stitching it up. Unfortunately I cannot afford that. My dog loves people, he does so well with my son who’s on the spectrum. He loves to be by our side all the time. One of his favorite things to do is play fetch and go on car rides, park, and road trips. I had to leave my job because my son was needing a lot of help. He was diagnosed with epilepsy in October 2023 and was kicked out of ABA therapy due to his seizures. Right now we’re relying on SSI for income.

It was a total miracle someone stopped behind lucky liquor and ask me if I wanted a pit bull puppy i told the guy that I wanted to see what she looked like and as soon as I seen her I know. She was perfect he proceeded to tell me he was a gang member and someone tried to spot him in a drive by and she got hit with the ricochi she has a scar on her nose. She truly saved my life No vet will see her cause I don't have any money me and her have been living in our car for about a month now and I know she has got a UTI from her symptoms and I'm stressed I don't know what to do If some one was to come to our apartment she acts like they are here to see her she truly believes that she's human and she knows no stranger so friendly I am a survivor of domestic violence she was so confused didn't know what to do cause she knew and loved my ex she's just as stressed as I am about losing our apartment and I have no family that can help I've tried to get jobs but she has separation anxiety

Brody

I’ve had my Brody boy for the past seven years (his seventh birthday is officially in February). I was able to take him out of a very toxic environment and he has been such a different dog since then. I have one other dog of my own and she’s been the best sister to my boy. I’m grateful to have had this many years with him and will pray that I get to have many more! He truly is the sweetest. Brody has had some medical problems stemming back to when he was a puppy. Thankfully everything has been within my range to provide the care and financial means to continue to keep him fed well and the healthiest he can be. While playing, he had stepped down wrong when he landed from a jump and I knew something was off. An orthopedic specialist visit later to find out he’s got an ACL tear. Truly this dog has been the light of my life. He came into my life when I needed a companion the most and he’s never stopped. He makes everyday better and just wants to show his constant love and affection toward everyone he meets. I had just wiped out my emergency fund/savings to fix a medical situation with myself about two months ago. I’ve been working two jobs for the past six years and am doing everything I can to make ends meet and pay off debt. I’m doing everything I can to provide.

Luca

Luca has been in my life since he was 9 weeks old. I adopted him because I recently lost my 14 year old dog and wanted another companion. He is the best boy! I couldn’t imagine life without him Luca has severe allergies and while the vet gave allergy shot and supplied spray for his skin as needed, he requires a specialist and upon looking it’s anywhere from $400-$500 for skin graphs which is out of reach for me. The allergy shot is needed every 8 weeks and costs $165.00. He also has a lot of joint issues and the cost for food, supplements is adding up as well. He is only 3! He is the best! Despite his allergies and joints, he loves to play, snuggle and follow me around everywhere. He is a true companion. He is also very smart! Nothing gets past him:) Major expenses with limited income. I work two jobs however my hours are limited because of business levels and I barely get 40 hours a week. I also don’t have a car and taking Luca to appointments would require ride share there and back.

Manon is our family cat we rescued her in November of 2024. She’s around a year- a year and a half old. She hasn’t had any issues until now but she’s very loving with everyone in our family she’s extremely playful and energetic. We all love her very much, even the people in our family who “don’t like cats” live her dearly. She’s honestly amazing and brings a smile to everyone’s face. So a few days ago she threw up and it was very strange for us because she hasn’t had any issues before. The next day she did not eat and the day following. We are on day 4 of her barely eating and when she does eat she vomits immediately. We took her to the vet this morning and were told that we had a foreign object in there and that she needs surgery tomorrow remove it. Manon holds such a special place in mine as well as my families hearts. We have a large family with kids and all and she is so sweet with them she plays with the kids and snuggles (when she wants to). We had a close family member pass away and my grandmother hasn’t been alright since but when she’s around Manon I can see some joy back in her eyes. Anyway we love our cat so so much. This surgery was a shock for all of us. It’s an emergency surgery that nobody could have planned for. The vet priced it at $4000 which we do not have right now. It’s very devastating to hear that something is wrong with your pet it would mean everything to help her.

This is purple, 16 years ago. She became an unexpected addition to our family. She was just a palm sized kitten with lilac eyes (hence the name) the day we first met. Since that day she has been with me for every adventure and all of life’s challenges and successes. In fact she knows more about me than I do about her. Over the years, she shared our home with Pitbulls and shepherds and cats and reptiles and many other non-human members of our family, and although at times she was the smallest, she was always a big cat on the inside.Now, it pains my heart to see her struggle, when deep down she has the heart of a lion. The doctors at care animal hospital in Arlington heights are going to do the procedure. But after a long list of diagnostic test and specialist we don’t have the $4000 that is needed to save purple. Please help my baby purple.

Murphy

Murphy rescued me. He will be 10 on May 17th. My mom found him for me. I couldn’t say no to this tiny little dog that cuddled to my neck as soon as I held him. He was making these little sounds of comfort and fear while clinging to me. Ever since he is like velcro by my side. It is just me and my two little dogs. Murphy has a non biological sister Mindy who is 13 years old. She looks after him. Murphy's breath started to get really bad the last couple of days. He was scratching at his cheek. The vet told me his tooth is abscessed and needs a dental. She warned me that his little jaw may break during this procedure since it is down to the bone and he is so tiny only 6 lbs. She stated more teeth need out. Murphy is so special. He stays by my side as soon as I get home from work every day. When we go to bed he scratches at the blanket for me to lift up and he cuddles to my neck underneath. Sometimes I take him to work with me so he can visit the residents. He stays so calm with them like he understands they need him. He just sits on their lap or lays on their bed. He is a very special little dog. It is just me and my two little dogs. I always take care of them as they need. I work full time but I just can't afford a bill this size with my house payment other bills. They are my world. They have gotten me through so much. I help my elderly parents financially too.
