Harley

Harley is a 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Denver, NC, who needs $2,000 for Prescription Food, Meds, F/U Bloodwork/ Visits.

In August 2021, my best friend passed away suddenly and in her well she asked that I care for her five dogs. Harley is the littlest one he is special. He was born without a tear duct and had to have an eye removed due to infection. Harley started experiencing extreme bloat in late 2024 on January 3. I brought him and his sister Muffin to the vet. I was shocked to learn that both Harley and muffin were diagnosed with PLE which require requires specific medication’s, prescription food, and recurrent blood tests and visits. Harley is my little Napoleon. He only has one eye, but it has a cataract in it in spite of being blind, he is fiercely, determined to scare off anything that smells different or that the other dogs bark at. He is the only boy of my five dogs. He is very cuddly and needs to sleep right by my head every night. In 09 I became disabled and started collecting SSDI. My best friend passed away in 2021 and I inherited her five dogs. I have tried to keep a float and been doing so in spite of being on a fixed income. I need extra help to follow the vets advice.

In August 2021, I lost my best friend unexpectedly. She had five dogs at the time and in her well asked if I could care for them. I was both honored and overwhelmed with losing my best friend unexpectedly and wondering how I would care for them as I am on a fixed income since 2009. Right before Christmas Muffin started experiencing very bad diarrhea. I tried it all the home remedies bought probiotics from the vet and put her on a special diet, but she was not improving. On Jan. 3, 2025 I brought both her and her brother Harley to the Westshore Veterinary Hospital they did bloodwork on both of them and unfortunately and shockingly they were diagnosed with PLE. Muffin is my wild child. She’s under 10 lbs and has the mind of a German Shepherd. She’s always barking at dogs, squirrels, rabbits, and even people. She loves life and the park. in ‘09 I became disabled and have been on SSDI ever since. There was supposed to be a dog fund to help me pay for their care as I took over ownership. However, there were IRS issues and that fund dissipated. I’m trying to do this on my own, but with this new diagnosis I can’

She was my sister's cat went with her to pick her up years ago when she could lay down in my hand as months went on I started to liking Pepper then my sister had to move and couldn't take her so I took Pepper we became very attached to each other I'd wake up she would be right there to say hello in her own way and follow me absolutely everywhere I went till I left, had her for 4.5 years Well to be honest I don't know if my sister ever took her to the vet or anything in that time frame she had her. If it was me I would have taken her Her favorite friends is her dad(me) and little kids, she allows follow me all over in the house and outside, she loves car rides, so happy when she gets to go, she's an energetic cat has zoomies, plays with string a little mouse. But now she has none of that I don't make a hole lot to be able to get Pepper the helps she needs sooner than later it would take me about a month to come up with money to pay to have her checked out than other things she would need to be better WOULD MEAN THE WORLD TO ME HAVE HER BETTER!!

Kali came into my life when she was 5 weeks old. she was given to my ex and he almost killed her and at that moment I swore to never let anyone hurt her again. She has saved my life and saved me from myself. she stopped a man from raping me and she got me through my cancer the death of my best friend from cancer and now I got to save her. she is my emotional support and my mental health peace. she was attacked by 2 female cats that resulted in a puncture would all the way through her ear. i was homeless when this happened a few months ago but i kept it doctored up and about a week ago something happened and the wound became infected and within a couple days it appeared as though the flesh was dying she needs it clipped off and antibiotics desperately or she is going to die. kali is just so funny and her brother and sister are rescue dogs they love her but I love her and I need her to get better i suffer from mental health issues and kali has gotten me through some of the hardest times in the past 18 years that i have had her please i need to try and save her but she needs to at the very least see a vet. I am on a fixed income and I just got a place to stay she has not seen a vet please I am begging you she has so much more life to live but this is critical she is going to die unless she gets help and she is in pain.

So here I find myself introducing you to my best friend which as any of you probably already know You have to experience for yourself to truly appreciate the little things that came home from work one night he was crossing the road I opened my door and said hello he turned around looked over his shoulder at me came running over and that was all she wrote and I Don't want to breathe without him Latter part of 2023 diagnosed with congestive heart failure prescribed furosemide to help with fluid buildup in his chest cavity or lungs needed an EKG and checkup over 4 months ago in order to better tend to his situation and cater to a more focused and specific treatment and wellness plan times have been hard and could not secure the funds When we first met we both knew we were where we belonged here comes one dramatically rainy night where I had let the weight of the world bring me to my knees and while the tears fell and I yelled at the sky was I not caught off guard by my new little friend coming to take my pain away he stopped me from pulling the trigger that night and took something from me that was not his to bear I quit working when my mother's cancer returned and in more ways than one I believe it has hurt more than helped this little guy is the only reason I've made it through some of the longer nights I don't have a problem with death I have a problem with unneeded suffering

Magic was given to me by my neighbors, he's been such a gift. He was actually very sick as a kitten, he was given to me with pneumonia. I have him medication for weeks and weeks until I could tell he was feeling right as rain. Even as a sick kitty I could tell he had so much spunk for life, he's my little buddy. I've actually never had the funds to take him to the vet, I'm relying off of only my income. I think he has a cold but I don't want it to turn worse. He's incredibly playful and sweet, he can be a little jerk to the other two cats I have but we all love him so much. He's also very goofy, he brings a smile to my face on hard days. Every dollar I earn goes to rent and bills, I do my best to try and take care of everything but my cats are my world and it breaks my heart to not have the funds I need to take care of them better.

I got Dolph in Arizona when he was 3 months old. I went to a local well known breeder. Dolph was the very last one in the litter, a bit smaller than his siblings were. He was the runt of the litter but the very first time i saw him he was running around & trying to play with a great dane. Thats how i knew i wanted him. We've been through a lot together, i survived an abusive relationship with him. His stomach can not handle any kind of dog food, & ended up getting a prolapsed anus due to diarrhea. That was sewed up & ive been feeding him fresh cooked food since. Took him to the vet not long ago for skin issues. Has not been his self, hasnt played for awhile, & has lost weight even with food increase. Past two days he has puked a few times, became lethargic and doesn't want to move or eat. Dolph loves everyone, his family, especially my six month old daughter. He is extremely gentle with my daughter and baby sister even when playing. He even loves all animals, even if they dont love him. He tries to play with all dogs and even cats. He does not bark at other dogs or animals, and is very well behaved. He loves squeaky toys, bones, and cuddling. I just had my daughter 6 months ago, my significant other is out of work & im a stay at home mom. Ive been able to afford preventative things for him & vitamins, hes been to the vet twice this year already & now our car needs a lot of repairs. I hate seeing my baby in pain!

Tucker came into our lives on a fluke, my 13 year old son is autistic and really enjoyed seeing this dog everyday. Tucker really got along with my son and was almost an emotional support for him. My son asked his old owner if tucker could spend the night. Well the old owner was going through a rough time themselves and asked if my son wanted to keep him. So here he is now OHANA Well tucker cries a lot when scratching. I’m sure maybe he has fleas the owner didn’t have shots or anything for him so we are really staring out new and getting him everything a puppy needs Tucker is special because he really helps Noa who is autistic l. Tucker really calms him down when he is emotionally stressed and loves to holler so he knows we are listening to him. Well I am a single mom to 3 kids and not a very good job. I wasn’t ready to become a pet owner yet but tucker fit right in a really helps my son. We wouldn’t change it for the world
