Pepper June may be 12 years old, but her story is just beginning. This tiny six-pound sweetheart recently found herself alone and without a home after being picked up as a stray and brought to the county shelter. We may never know how she ended up there, but one thing is certain: despite everything she has been through, Pepper June has never stopped loving.From the moment she arrived at Animalluvers Dream Rescue, this gentle senior girl won everyone over with her sweet personality and trusting heart. As Pepper June settled into rescue, it became clear that she had been living with severe dental disease for far too long. Dental pain can make it difficult to eat, play, and enjoy life, yet she never complained. Determined to give her the comfort she deserves, Pepper June underwent a much-needed dental procedure with the incredible team at Harmony Vet Care. She received a dental cleaning and multiple extractions to relieve her pain and improve her quality of life. Now, she is recovering beautifully and getting ready for the next chapter of her journey: finding the loving forever home she deserves. Senior dogs like Pepper June are often overlooked, but they have so much love left to give. In just one week, we have watched her begin to relax, trust, and show us the joyful little dog she was always meant to be. Sweet Gabby was found abandoned on the streets after clearly being used for breeding her entire life. Her body was in terrible shape and she suffered from extreme skin, ear, dental, and eye infections. Animalluvr's Dream Rescue stepped in determined to provide Gabby with the love and care she deserves. They have worked hard to treat the immense infection and inflamed skin covering Gabby's entire body. Despite the clear pain and discomfort Gabby faced, she had nothing but love to give. She enjoys meeting new people and making friends, especially those who give her belly rubs! With the persistence of Animalluvr's Dream Rescue, Gabby is making slow improvement and her infections are gradually going away. She is starting to realize how amazing life can be when surrounded by love! Despite this positive progress, Gabby still needs immense help. An eye specialist recommends surgery to help heal her painful ulcerated eyes. Without treatment, Gabby will continue to be in pain and could lose her eyesight entirely. Buddy the Elf was found by animal control suffering from extreme mange and covered in fleas. He was severely underweight, struggling to breathe, and he barely had any fur on his infected skin. Animalluvr's Dream Rescue took Buddy in knowing he would require a lot of physical and emotional care. They gave him numerous medicated baths to get rid of the fleas, dirt, and blood that caked Buddy's body. Despite his horrible past and terrible condition, Buddy started to trust Animalluvr's Dream Rescue enough to start eating and even took kibble from one of their hands. Buddy has a difficult road ahead. His skin will require lots of care and time to reduce the inflammation and infection and heal. Buddy also has a long journey in learning how wonderful life can be when loved. Buddy the Elf is making slow improvements every day due to the dedication and support of Animalluvr's Dream Rescue.
