Nala

Nala is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in Jamul, CA, who needs $11,000 for Surgery - Liver Tumor Removal.

Jamul, CA

Nala was given to me by someone who said she couldn't keep her. We accepted her as the heavenly gift she is. Nala kept a tennis ball in her mouth constantly except for eating and drinking, for about 8 years. We have 3 other dogs in the household, and she loves them all and they love her. She has the name "Nala" because she looks like a lion cub. Nala has a tumor on her liver and needs a liver lobectomy. The prognosis is very good, and it is expected that she will go on with the rest of her life. This tumor has a very low chance of ever re-occurring. Nala felt abandoned by her previous owner and had severe emotional problems for some time after coming to us. My husband, now deceased, took her into his heart as his own child. The two of them were glued together. When he died, I have tried to be both Mommy and Daddy to her. When my husband died, we lost his income. I'm working, but this vet expense was not expected or planned for and is much more than expected. This is a very well-respected hospital and surgeon, and it is not expected to re-occur. Her life is very much worth saving.

Toshi

Toshi is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in San Francisco, CA, who needs $3,691 for Surgical Removal of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in Hind Leg.

San Francisco, CA

Our life with Toshi began in the Summer of 2014. Toshi and her litter mates were rescued from a kill shelter in Central California and brought to San Francisco’s SPCA. She and her litter mates were estimated to be 5 months of age. Soon thereafter she was cleared for potential adoption. She quickly chose my husband as her person and came home with us the same evening he introduced me to her. Toshi needs to have a large tumor removed from one of her hind legs. Fortunately it has been a localized and slow growing tumor. She has been and remains to be otherwise healthy. She has continued her usual physical activities and remains super social. During the last couple of months the tumor has grown substantially and is now limiting her due to its size and weight. Surgery at SFAMC needed asap Toshi has a big personality and voice! As a social butterfly she finds it necessary to say hello to all who near her path. This is followed by requesting to play with new or known person(s). She is successful with many people willing to oblige with her requests to play. It’s rare to go for a walk without people being complimentary or bringing out their smiles. She’s always ready for any adventure The same week that we completed Toshi’s staging at SFAMC we were informed by our landlords that we were going to be served with a no fault eviction in order for them to move one of their relatives into our unit. It had been our home for 18 years and Toshi’s only home.

Help Oreo Get the Pain Relief He Desperately Needs

Wakefield, MA • Paws 4 A Cure

Meet Oreo, a handsome ten-year-old tuxedo cat from California who has been a source of love, comfort, and emotional support for his devoted mom for nearly a decade. Now, this sweet senior boy urgently needs help. Oreo has been diagnosed with painful dental disease causing infections and inflammation, along with stomach inflammation that also requires treatment. His veterinarian has recommended urgent dental care, including possible extractions, to relieve his pain and restore his quality of life. The estimated cost for his treatment begins at $404.31 and may increase depending on how many teeth need to be removed. Thankfully, Oreo’s veterinarian is optimistic and believes he is expected to make an excellent recovery after surgery. But before that can happen, his mom needs help covering the cost of his care. With the support of a $150 grant from Paws 4 A Cure, she is still trying to raise an additional $400 so Oreo can finally receive the treatment he desperately needs. Oreo’s mom shared: \_"Oreo is my emotional support animal, my comfort, and truly my whole world. For the past eight years, Oreo has inspired me to stay sober and become a better version of myself. He makes me feel safe and reminds me every day that I am not alone."\_ Oreo came into her life after being rescued from a sober living home, and ever since then, the two have been inseparable. Through every challenge, Oreo has been there — offering unconditional love, comfort, and companionship during her recovery journey. Now Oreo is the one who needs support. Dental disease is incredibly painful for cats and can affect their ability to eat, groom, and enjoy daily life. Without treatment, infections can worsen and lead to even more serious health complications. Oreo deserves the chance to live comfortably and pain-free surrounded by the person who loves him so deeply. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help Oreo receive the veterinary care he urgently needs. Every dollar brings him one step closer to healing and relief. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Oreo’s story can make a huge difference and help him reach more compassionate supporters. Thank you for being part of Oreo’s journey and for helping this special boy get the care he deserves. 💜 5/18/26 Update Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of our donors, Oreo was able to receive the dental surgery he so urgently needed — and he is now recovering comfortably at home with his loving mom by his side. For far too long, Oreo had been living with painful dental disease, inflammation, and infection that affected his comfort and quality of life. Thanks to your support, he was finally able to get the veterinary care necessary to relieve that pain and begin healing. Oreo’s mom is beyond grateful for everyone who donated, shared his story, and helped make this possible. Oreo has been her loyal companion, emotional support animal, and source of comfort throughout her sobriety and healing journey for nearly a decade. Being able to help him when he needed it most meant everything to her. Now, instead of living with constant discomfort, Oreo can focus on what he does best: spending time with the person who loves him deeply and continuing to provide the companionship and comfort that has made him so special all these years. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving Oreo a second chance at comfort and healing. Your compassion truly changed his life.

Sandy

Sandy is a 7 year old St. Bernard in Riverside, CA, who needs $2,000 for Ovariohysterectomy.

Riverside, CA

Sandy came into our life when I bought her for my children about 8 years ago and she instantly lit up our household with more love. Before her, it was just Kobe, our golden retriever, and he was getting lonely. Then after Sandy, we had Ghost and Bonnie join the party. We named Sandy after the great Sandy Koufax who was an All-Star pitcher for the Dodgers. Sandy wasn't doing so well so we took her to the vet (SoCalVetGroup) and found out she has Pyometra. Pyometra is a very serious uterine infection in which is more common in older dogs like Sandy. She has a serious fever, leakage, fatigue, and more serious symptoms. Sandy's favorite dog friends are her siblings, Kobe, Ghost, and Bonnie. But she especially loves her human companions, Lily and Asher. Whenever she sees one of her humans, she immediately falls to the ground for belly rubs. She really loves carbs so much that one time we came home to find all of our bread eaten out of the pantry. She is the most loving animal and will always protect our family. We set up this fund because we need help affording this sudden major expense. We have been living paycheck to paycheck lately and vet bills are not easy. It will mean the world to our family if you were to help us out and help sandy feel better. Thank you.

Lili

Lili is a 5 year old Rat Terrier in Modesto, CA, who needs $2,000 for Neurological Care.

Modesto, CA

Lili is the strongest pup I have ever met. I found her skin and bones on the side of the road in Mexico at just about 2 months old. She was severely ill and extremely malnourished. I could not leave her there. I immediately took her to the vet in Mexico and worked together to help her recover and survive from the already traumatic start of her life. She grew up to become an energetic young lady. Lili was energetic and playful until the beginning of Summer 2025. She began to loose her balance and within a couple of days she stopped walking completely. She developed Nystagmus (involuntary eye movement) and cried of confusion and possible pain. She is somewhat stable at the moment with help of some medication but needs help from UC Davis Neurological team. We are waiting for referral. Lili was a playful, sassy girl. She loved playing with her four legged brother Casper. As Lili became ill, Casper lays beside her and stares at me in confusion. We all miss playing with her. She is very vocal and you will hear her if you’re eating her favorite snacks. She loves everyone but can sometimes act like an antisocial teenage girl hidden in mama’s room. Lili needs special care from a Neurologist to find answers as to what happened to her and why. We need an MRI scan, CT scan, and possibly spinal fluid tests. This will help us get the answers we need and work towards full recovery ❤️‍🩹
