VIPER
VIPER is a 9-month-old BOSBULL (BOSTON BULLDOG) in TYLER, TX, who needs $1,200 for Foreign Body Retrieval-General Anesthesia, Endoscope grade 1-3.

In October of last year, we decided that it was time for us to get a family pet. Kids were old enough and I was working from home and alone most of the day. We went into a pet and saw several that we liked but when Viper was brought to us it just felt that he was the missing part of our family. We is super friendly and amazing with kids, so we brought him home. Viper is kennel trained, he stays in his kennel in our living room for two hours and is out playing for 2-3 hours and back in the kennel. In November of last year a family member got really sick and has been in and out of hospital. I has been very hard but Viper made things better. He helped our family take our mind off the hard situation. Viper has show our family unconditional love. Viper is pretty mellow. He is not a barker. He will only bark if "strangers" come near us and he's standing next to us, but once he sees we talk to them and we hug or shake hands with them they become like family to him as well and shows them the same love he shows us. He loves his broccoli, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, peanut butter and bananas among other things. Viper completes our family. Viper has been healthy the entire 6 months that he has been part of our lives. he will be 10 months on the 25th and unfortunately ate a hard plastic bone on Thursday the 14th. he is currently at Vet Med Dallas waiting for an Endoscopy to remove pieces that are stuck in his esophagus and stomach. He was seen here in Tyler by his Vet as well as the Animal ER but needs surgery urgently. His treatment has not been cheap and this was very unexpected. We've paid over 7k out of pocket so far but still has more medical expenses. He may need additional time in the hospital to recover and that is very expensive. Our savings have been spend on him already.
Henry

Henry is a three year old Golden Retreiver, rescued through Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue in MA. He was a patient at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists, and we took him home to foster him after a previous surgery at OSVS and he bonded very quickly with our other golden retreiver, Charlie. Henry absolutely loves his brother, as well as his favorite kitty lurchy, and his new baby sister - Abigail❤️ Henry is a social butterfly who looks up to his big brother Charlie - they do everything together! He is very active and loves to hike through the woods. He adores his new baby, Abigail, and is such an important part of our family - the household dynamic here is not the same without him and we are missing him dearly this week…. Henry is so friendly and outgoing. He loves when his family comes home and cries and whimpers out of excitement so loud every time, whether we were gone for five minutes or five hours! He loves to carry a flip flop in his mouth - he has his own pair - he needs something in his mouth when he is excited! He is always by his big brothers side and loves to rest his head on Charlie whenever he can. Henry is a patient of the Internal Medicine Team at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists - we thought it was his auto immune disease acting up, but we found foreign material in his stomach and intestines that was making him sick, and he needed emergency surgery. Just when we thought he was coming home, he developed a septic abdomen and this morning we were told he needs to go back to surgery… Our family just welcomed a new baby (the non fuzzy kind!) and we are still adjusting to having a newborn, Abigail, at home. We were not expecting the second surgery for Henry or the financial responsibility that came along with it…we just want him to get better and come home

Sterling is my Emotional Support animal or ESA and we currently are in our sophomore year of college. Sterling lives in my dorm room with me at Mount St.Mary's University. We are getting our degrees together, whether it be online or me coming back to him after in-person classes. He lives at my home with my family during the summer and breaks. Sterling and I met about 12 years ago. Some nicknames he has are Sterls, Baby, Sterly whirls, and bubby. Over the years we created the most amazing bond ever. During my early teen years I was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. During those times my mental health was not in a good state. Everytime I struggled, Sterling was there right by my side and he even continues to support me. Sterling is my best friend, boyfriend, number one " human being" and the person that makes me get out of bed every day. I mean that literally and figuratively because he stands over me while I'm sleeping to wait until he is fed. He is very friendly and photogenic. Most people who don't prefer cats say they love Sterls. He loves to snuggle and get love from everybody he meets. Sterling was diagnosed with a heart murmur in early 2021. He was then diagnosed with Kidney disease in February of 2022. He now has an abscess above one of his canines and the other canine is fractured. He will need a full blood work panel to check on his kidney and heart to make sure it is safe to give him anesthesia. If he the blood work is good he will then get the teeth removed. My mom works full time and is a single mom with two children. I am mainly dependent on my mom, especially when it comes to my personal medical bills. I am currently in college and can only work 8 hours a week. Money is tight and we are not able to do a pet credit or plan.

Jacqueline's original owner was the only family member who was not allergic to cats. When her relatives came, poor Jacqueline would be put outside, whete she would scream. So Jacqueline was placed with me. She is loved, adored and totally chic. She thinks she is thebQueen of Egypt. She adhesive my friends. Jacqueline links the paws and ears of my 123 pound service dog. She helps me sleep by being a devoted presence in my bedroom at night, where she sings operatic arias to the moon in a dramatic soprano. She eats an excellent catfood, and her new weight loss enables beautiful movement., She is awaiting regional auditions for the San Francisco Opera or the Salt Lake City Ballet. To say Jacqueline is a talker is to minimize her vocal abilities. Jacqueline is a linguist. She comes when she is called, too. Her favorite toys are long feathery sticks, and she has become a gymnast on her kitty tree., Jacqueline is a therapeutic cat, reducing the effects of diagnosed disabilities. I am seeking help to deal with Jacqueline's dental condition: a thorough examination has revealed puffy gums and the need for a possible extraction under anesthesia in addition to a deep cleaning (scaling).. This sensitive.kind and highly professional vet has been our family vet for almost a decade I am a disabled widow, age 72, on Social Security. Debt repayments and home repairs and particularly a costly medical diet make more crises impossible. Along with chiropractic and other fees considered health necessities by my doctors.
Joya

No one knows how long Joya limped along in pain with a broken leg, but she suffered for quite some time -- until Pooch Savers Rescue sprung her from an animal shelter. "We got sent a heads up that this dog was at a shelter," Scott B., with the nonprofit organization, tells Waggle. "She was injured and needed immediate rescue. All we were told was that she had an apparent leg injury." But soon after the rescue got Joya, they were shocked. The hits just kept coming for this precious dog. She had a compound fracture in her femur. It was literally broken in two. Then Scott consulted an orthopedic surgeon who gave him bad news: the break was an old injury and could not be fixed. "Our hearts just broke. This dog has been walking on this compound fracture for who knows how long," Scott says. "There was no way to put it back together orthopedically. You don't get any blood flow in a dead bone. The time had passed to mend it with pins." Then they discovered Joya was pregnant! She had to have an emergency C-section. And then more heartbreak: She lost five out of the six puppies she delivered. After Joya heals from her pregnancy, she will need surgery to amputate her leg. It's the only way she will be able to live pain-free. She is a young and smaller-sized dog. The surgeon at Parker Animal and Bird Clinic believes she will recover just fine. She also needs to be treated for heartworm disease. Scott shudders when he wonders what happened to Joya, but donating will help Pooch Savers pay for the massive medical bills for all the care Joya needs. They can't wait to get her fully on the road to being well and finally finding her forever home in 2022! "We want to make this right," he says. "Joya is an innocent creature. She's just as sweet and loveable as can be." UPDATE: Joya and her sole surviving pup, Emersyn, were adopted on 11/9! Joya went to a previous Pooch Savers adopter and Emersyn went to a close friend and rescue supporter. Pooch Savers Rescue relies on donations to help pay the medical bills for all the animals the organization saves, including Joya and Emersyn. They're hoping you will help them pay for Joya's multitude of emergency veterinary care.
Micro
Micro is a five-year-old in Allendale, MI, who needs $1,500 for urgent surgery.

Madison S. became Micro's hero when her owner died. "Micro is a rescue from a family member that recently passed away," Madison tells Waggle. "I made the impulsive decision to drive three hours to pick her up and drive three hours back to bring her into my home. She was very scared and shut down at the time. This was three months ago. Now, she has opened up and shown her loving and goofy personality." But recently, Micro hurt her leg, and Madison got terrible news. The medical team at Cottonwood Vet Center discovered her newly adopted dog tore the cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) inside her knee. Madison wants to make sure Mirco gets the surgery to fix the tear, but she wasn't planning on a significant expense. "As a college student, I am working limited hours, paying for rent, phone bill, food, and other necessary expenses that do not leave me with any wiggle room for emergencies," she says. Watching Micro suffer in pain is heartbreaking, and she has already endured so much heartbreak. Madison launched this campaign hoping you can help them. "Before Micro tore her CCL, we would go on walks and hikes around the town," Madison says. "Micro gets very excited when everyone from my household comes home. She wiggles her whole body around and cannot contain all of her excitement. Micro is a very special animal to me. She is the sweetest and most well-behaved dog that I have ever seen. Whenever I am singing, she moves her body around like she is trying to dance, and it makes me very happy. I love living my life with Micro, and I could not see myself without her." Let's help Micro get the surgery she needs and back on all four feet again!
Domino
Domino is a one-year-old Terrier mix in St. Stephens Church, VA, who needs $600 for urgent surgery.

Domino is only one-year-old and has survived many brushes with death during his short life. With your help, Pattie Swamp Rescue wants to turn things around and give this sweet dog a great future. "He came from Texas, one of the number one places for euthanasia in the U.S. for dogs," Maggie S., from the rescue, tells Waggle. "Domino became one of our only survivors from the dogs we pulled due to a distemper outbreak. He came here to Virginia, unbeknownst to us, with a broken leg in multiple places. Our veterinarian concluded that the break was done early on." The rescue brought Domino to Veterinary Specialists of Hanover for an expert opinion on how to treat his injury. "Domino has a leg break in three places," Maggie says. "The leg was never treated properly. He now hobbles and picks it up to ensure he can move around effectively. The veterinarian says that an amputation will provide a 100% more quality of life as we seek to ensure he lives a pain-free and happy life." The rescue is now trying to raise the money so Domino can get his surgery and finally be ready for adoption. The group needs donations to pay for his operation. "We are a small rural Virginia rescue with limited funds," Maggie says. "The distemper outbreak wiped us out financially, and we have not been able to open back up for intake. We hope to do that this month, but we are struggling to pay for current medical bills." And after all Domino has been through; he's quite a gem! "Domino is such a snuggle buddy; he has such a great personality," Maggie adds. "He does not let his leg slow him down and loves to snuggle up with his canine and human friends to show his love and appreciation at the end of a long day. His tail is always wagging, and he is one happy boy!"
Cookie
Cookie is a seven-year-old Poodle mix in Dallas, TX, who needs $500 for urgent surgery.

Scott B. from Pooch Savers Rescue is thankful he got the call about Cookie. A woman who felt the sweet Poodle mix was neglected convinced the dog's owner to surrender him to the rescue. But even Scott wasn't expecting Cookie to be in such bad shape. "He was limping. The dog's leg looked like he had on an extra-long sock. It was so noticeable. He was also dirty and matted," Scott tells Waggle. Cookie went straight to the animal hospital for X-rays that revealed he had an old fracture in his leg. "The vet believes Cookie's best option at this point is amputation," Scott says. "Sadly, had the owner taken care of this fracture when it happened, he wouldn't have suffered nearly as much, and he would have been able to keep his leg." The amount of stinky, gross fur the medical team shaved off Cookie was the size of a rabbit. His teeth are in poor condition; he needs dental surgery and to be neutered. With your help, Pooch Savers is ready to get Cookie all the surgeries he needs. Without the amputation, Cookie will remain in pain. "He's in discomfort," Scott says. "Leaving it on is not an option. People failed him. It's sickening." But once Cookie gets fixed up at Noah's Ark Animal Hospital, Scott knows the dog will have a great life ahead. "We can change Cookie's life," he says. "We can take the neglect and stop it right here in its tracks. It's heartbreaking to see. We feel horrible the dog had to go through it. We look at it as an opportunity to stop him from hurting and change his life in the future. No more pain. No more suffering. When we see a wrong, we do whatever we can to right it." Milo

Milo and I came together in 2016, when I was just 19 years old. I always grew up with dogs, and knew that as soon as I could, I needed a pup. He was given to me by a family friend, whose' Aussies were having a surprise litter! He was just 3 months old when I adopted him, and he's been my best friend ever since. His favorite thing in the world is playing catch with a squeaky ball at the park! Milo made me raise my bed, because that's his favorite place to sleep (when he doesn't have me picking him up onto my bed!) Even at 6 years old, he has the energy of a puppy! He loves walks around our complex, where he can say hi and get head scratchies from all the neighbors walking by. When he's tired from walks, he leads me back upstairs to snag his most savored treat- chicken jerky! Milo's best friend is one of my old neighbors- he LOVES when she visits. But truly, he just loves all people. If you are walking past him, he will always stop to say hello:) He loves water, but only if he can stand in it. And when the 2020 freeze hit Austin, he fell in love with the snow! It was everything he likes- wet, cold, tasty, and he can stand in it! In July, Milo had TPLO surgery on his right hind leg at Veterinary Surgical Solutions, with Dr. Lewis. I was made aware that there would be a 50% chance his left leg would suffer the same fate, and sure enough, in December, I had to take him back for a limp in his left hind leg. It was confirmed then, that his left LCL was tearing, and he needs another TPLO surgery. After a crushing break up in September, I am now faced with these medical bills alone. I am crushed every day that I have to see my baby limping, knowing that he's in pain. I would do anything to be able to take him to the park and play with his favorite ball again.
