Angelo
Angelo is a ten-year-old Pomeranian in Venice, FL, who needs $2,000 for cancer treatment and surgery.

By looking at his sweet face and kind eyes, you'd never know Angelo is battling several serious health issues. Soon after True and Faithful Pet Rescue Mission saved him, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. "A devastating diagnosis to receive for a rescue dog," Lisa L. from the group tells Waggle. "We ultimately made the difficult decision to treat Angelo with palliative care and commence a beautiful bucket list for him to complete during his finals days at our ranch." Then there was a twist of fate: A follow-up vet appointment and X-rays at Huntley Animal Care revealed the tumor in his chest was shrinking! But then Angelo was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his thigh. "We are gearing up to have this mass removed, and with your donations, we will be able to cover the costs of the surgery and follow-up care," Lisa says. "This little man is a fighter!" True and Faithful Pet Rescue Mission specializes in speaking loud for the voiceless, saving seniors and animals from high kill shelters. Littles
Littles is a 14-year-old Pomeranian in Venice, FL, who needs $2,000 for hernia and dental surgeries.

No one knows how this senior dog, with one of the cutest faces in the world, ended up as a stray on the streets of Miami. But when True and Faithful Pet Rescue heard about Littles, they swooped in to save him. And poor Littles was indeed an underdog. He was unable to walk, had a perineal hernia the size of a grapefruit, and was covered in urine and feces. The rescue raced him to the Davie Veterinary Clinic, where Littles was also diagnosed with an enlarged heart, a back injury, and a rotten set of teeth. Littles needed immediate surgery to help relieve his suffering. And to everyone's relief, he made it through the operation even with his enlarged heart. Now the group is helping this cutie with his other issues. "He is fighting so hard, and we are fighting with him," Lisa L. with the rescue tells Waggle. Littles got a set of wheels to work on his mobility, but soon after his surgery, he started to walk again. Everyone is thrilled! He is set for a follow-up appointment with the veterinarian shortly and will hopefully be ready to find his furever home. True and Faithful Pet Rescue spent a significant amount of money to pay for Littles urgent care, and they're hoping with your help, they will raise enough donations to pay off their vet bill so they can save other underdogs in need.
Athena
Athena is a seven-week-old Domestic Shorthair kitten in St. Cloud, FL, who needs $2,000 for treatment of a spinal injury.

A good Samaritan came along at the right time to save Athena, who children were torturing! "He was at work and noticed a few kids together, poking at something. He kept an eye on the kids, and when he heard little screams, he quickly chased the children away. What he found was horrifying," Helping Paws Humane Society tells Waggle. The man quickly scooped up the kitten and brought her inside. He fed her, kept her warm, and brought her home with him for the evening. But soon, he realized something was wrong. She was unable to walk and dragged her little legs behind her. He called around to local shelters and rescues, but none would take Athena until he got in touch with Helping Paws. When the group heard about the kitten, they brought her right over to Tender Hearts Animal Hospital, where the medical team discovered the Athena suffered a spinal injury. She now needs an evaluation with a neurologist, potential surgery, and ongoing care. "The veterinarian says Athena is active, eats well, and is capable of urinating on her own, which means she has a chance! She also has feeling in her hind limbs and tail, which is very promising," the rescue says. The group hopes the Waggle community will assist Athena in getting the treatment she needs. "Athena deserves a chance at life! With your help, she can have the opportunity for a long, purrfect life."
Gucci Mane
Gucci Mane is a six-month-old Lab mix in Moab, UT, who needs $2,000 for leg fracture repair.

Poor Gucci Mane was run over by a car and faced severe injuries. "His accident broke two bones in his leg and three in his pelvis," Chiara S., with Underdog Animal Rescue and Rehab, tells Waggle. The group immediately brought him to Mill Creek Animal Hospital, where the medical team placed him in a cast and put him on strict rest. Then the most amazing thing happened! A veterinary student fell in love with Gucci and offered to foster him. Chiara says Gucci is so loveable she can see how he won hearts at the veterinarian's office. "When someone looks at Gucci, they are immediately attracted to his piercing eyes," she says. "Gucci loves people and knows what happened to him was an accident and is ready to give his two-legged friends another chance." Underdog Rescue is a nonprofit organization that depends on donations to help the more than 1400 dogs the group has saved from the Four Corners reservations of the American Southwest. They provide medical care, spay and neuter resources, and adoption services while supporting Native Americans in the care of their animals. Underdog brings much-needed help to a highly underserved population. Please help Gucci get back on his feet again!
Emma
Emma is a ten-year-old Pit Bull in Simi Valley, CA, who needs $2,000 for tumor removal and dental surgery.

When Mark R., the founder of Southern California Pit Bull Rescue, went to a shelter to pick up a puppy, he ended up leaving not only with the pup but with a senior dog named Emma, who he could not leave behind. "Emma is an old gal with a huge mammary mass hanging from her abdomen," Mark tells Waggle. "Her teeth are rotten and broken, and she can't bear the pain to eat kibble or treats. Her nipples are huge, suggesting that she was used for breeding. She looks like she was a used-for-profit dog." Mark rushed Emma to the VCA Westlake Village Animal Hospital, where the medical team ran bloodwork, tests and took X-Rays. Emma needs immediate surgery to remove the tumor in her mammary chain and have some teeth extracted. On a positive note, Emma is healthy enough for the operation--- but the nonprofit group needs your help paying for her medical bills. The rescue is cheering for her to have a happy life ahead of her once she feels better.
Dink
Dink is a nine-year-old Fox Terrier in Melbourne, Florida who needs $2,000 for hernia surgery.
Fort Collins, CO • The Street Dog Coalition
Dink has been with his human mom, Tara, through thick and thin--- even during times in Tara's life when she was homeless, he never left her side. Now Tara is facing financial challenges again, like so many families are as the world emerges from the pandemic. The problem is Dink needs surgery immediately to fix a dangerous hernia that is also causing him pain, but Tara can't afford the operation. The Street Dog Coalition wants to help. The nonprofit group provides care to pets of people experiencing homelessness. "Dink is her world," The Street Dog Coalition tells Waggle. "Dink's mother is sweet and gentle and relies on him for companionship. Their human-animal bond is incredibly important to both of their well-being." The group relies on donations to help as many animals in need as they can. Tara and Dink hope Waggle's thoughtful community will give to their fundraiser so both Dink can be the faithful, supportive dog he's always been, and his caring spirit will help his mom get back on her feet again.
Mango
Mango is a five-year-old Great Dane in San Diego, CA, who needs $2,000 for surgery and radiation treatment.

Christina D. and her family were devastated when they learned their beloved dog, Mango, had stage three melanoma. "The mass started in her cheek and spread to her lymph node," Christina tells Waggle. With her giant size and gentle spirit, Mango is the center of her family. "She has four human siblings and a kitten sister who loves her. If you look up "gentle giant" in the dictionary, you’ll find a picture of Mango. Friendly to all animals and humans is an understatement," Christina says. Mango needs surgery to remove the cancer and radiation therapy at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego. Though the treatment will cost Christina's family thousands of dollars, Mango's prognosis is good. They are hoping generous pet lovers donate to help. "She’s still so young," Christina adds. "We need to do everything we can to save our girl."
Zannie

One by One Animal Advocates has saved hundreds of dogs and cats in horrible condition, but when Heather A. from the group saw Zannie, she was floored. "I was just shocked," she tells Waggle. Zannie is covered in tumors--- some are several inches large and droop from her body on stretched-out strips of skin. Her nails are overgrown and curve under her feet, she has several infections, and her former owner gave her Acetaminophen (Tylenol), which is toxic to dogs. "As she walked, she would kick the mass that was hanging from her back leg. I couldn't begin to imagine the pain she was in," Heather says. Heather tells us Zannie's former elderly owner actually loved her very much, but her own health issues got in the way of providing the proper care for Zannie. Heather adds. With your help, One by One Animal Advocates can give Zannie a shot at a bright future, free of tumors and the suffering she'd endured. "She deserves the very best life has to offer. We hope we can give her that," Heather says. "She is worth every penny. 'We love you, Zannie! Please stay strong and fight!'" Zannie needs blood tests to assess her liver damage from the Acetaminophen, antibiotics, X-rays, and multiple surgeries at the Proctorville Animal Clinic to remove all the masses. Despite Zannie's health issues, she is incredibly sweet. "To meet her is to love her. You immediately want to hug her and figure out a way to reassure her. She elicits love from everyone she comes in contact with,"
Puppy Luna
Puppy Luna is five-week-old Labrador puppy in Lewisville, IN, who needs $2,000 for blood transfusion and treatment of suspected Distemper.

Puppy Luna is fighting for her life! She is anemic, needs a blood transfusion, and has suspected Distemper. A horrible hand for such a young puppy to be dealt. Katherine M., the president of Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption, was crushed when she heard the news. "My heart sank," she tells Waggle. "We were told by the vet that she was most likely not going to make it. But her little face and eyes screamed that she was not ready to go, so we moved forward with her supportive and life-saving care." The rescue originally saved Luna, along with her mother and littermates, from a shelter in Mississippi. The puppies were too young to be vaccinated against Distemper and were likely exposed to the virus at the shelter. Luna's brothers and sisters are also ill, and some had to be hospitalized. The medical bill for all their care is a massive undertaking. "To have so many sick puppies is incredibly expensive, and it's hitting right at the time our rescue has a lot of medical dogs in need," Katherine says."Our donations are down, likely because of COVID and so many people being out of work." Lucky Lab doesn't turn down dogs that need veterinary care. But when it rains, it pours, and right now, it's pouring. The medical team at VCA Northwood Animal Hospital in Indiana has been pulling for the puppies and working hard to help. The good news is Luna is already starting to perk up. Katherine says the rescue has high hopes she's going to make it. "She is a survivor and a teacher, we can learn from, 'Don’t give up!'" Please donate to help save Luna!
