Blitz

I drove over four and half hours to pick him up as a baby. He is without a doubt my best friend. January 12th 2018 was his Gotcha Day. I wrecked my car in the process of picking him up, but I would do it over again in a heart beat. He absolutely loves my three year old (almost four) nephew. They are two peas in a pod. He also loves his fur sister Mandi and our cat Simba. Blitz loves to go on runs with me and he's always looking forward to them. Car rides are his thing. I mean, any time a car door is open you have to be careful or he is in your car, it doesn't matter who it is. Once he is in the car it is very hard to convince him to get out haha. He just loves my entire family and it melts my heart.

Dora is a rescue from a high volume shelter in California. This senior lady was recently transferred to our shelter so that we can help find her a forever home to live out the remainder of her years in. While she is in our shelter, we are working hard to get her healthy so that she can get a fresh, new start in her new home. Dora is a friendly, sweet lady! She is friendly with shelter staff, and has been a trooper since her surgery. We have found that she might enjoy being a lap dog in her future home, and we are excited to help her find that once she has recovered enough to be ready for adoption. This girl deserves to start her life in her forever home! As a non profit, no kill shelter, our funding is limited and based on donations, grants, and other fundraising methods. When we have a pet with outstanding medical costs, we often have to get more creative with our funding to make sure we can provide the care needed. Dora came to our shelter needing a dental procedure to remove unhealthy teeth. Dental needs are something we see more with senior dogs, and at seven years old, Dora fits the bill. We took her to Sunny Brae Animal Clinic to have several teeth removed, and she has been recovering nicely. We anticipate a full recovery for Dora. We have found Dora to be special for a number of reasons. Dora has continued to be consistently friendly and snuggly with us, despite having gone through so much since she arrived in our shelter, not to mention what she may have encountered in her past! Having surgery is a lot for anyone, pet or human, to go through, so we are amazed by her resilience!
Thumper
Thumper is a 0.8-year-old French Bulldog in Hercules, CA, who needs $200 for Cherry Eye.

Thumper is a rescue dog. He was the biggest of his litter of 6 puppies. He currently lives with me and has a companion pup to learn and play with. He is losing his eyesight due to the "cherry eye" on his left eye. When he arrived at my home, it was smaller than what you see in the video and pictures. It seems to now be pushing into his eyesight which is causing blindness. He is such a joy to have as a rescue pet in my home. He snores when he sleeps and he never passes up a meal. He loves to run which is one reason why I hope his eye can get better; since he also struggles to breathe normally due to his cleft pallet. Family members always hold him as he loves to cuddle. COVID - 19 has put a block on a lot of things, however, Thumper's health, and the eye is all I can think about. His eye is also important to me because I chose to rescue him, so I also have vowed to protect him at all costs. I am looking to get his "cherry eye" surgically removed before his left eye goes blind. I have contacted my local vet "Hercules Pet Clinic" here in Hercules Ca, to see about his eye and hopeful nothing is too severe to where he may lose his eyesight. He somehow understands me when I come home and woddles to me to be picked up and hugged. His behavior is very affectionate. He is not your typical frenchie. At times, I feel like he has a human mind and spirit that feels one hundred percent real. He sleeps more than anything.
Maddy
Maddy is an 11-year-old Golden Retriever in Portland, ME, who needs 5,000 for chemotherapy to treat lymphoma.

Maddy joined our family when she was almost 1 year old adopted from another loving young family in Texas who wasn't able to keep her. Maddy was polite and well trained and proved to be a perfect match for our family. We had her sister, Shea since she was just a few weeks old and they reunited and have created their own special bond as pack of two for the past 11 years - referred to often as the "twins" or the "girls". When the girls were young, we did a lot of running around Lady Bird Lake in Austin and ball fetching at Zilker Park and Auditorium Shores where the girls could play with other pups and swim. We had annual birthday parties at the dog park where we celebrated with our friends and their four legged buddies. We made sure to keep Maddy and Shea at the forefront as our family grew, never sacrificing outdoor time or walks when three years later, we welcomed our daughter, Kaitlyn. We taught the children to treat Maddy and Shea respectfully as equals and we now have two children and a cat in addition to the girls. Maddy is very smart and seems to understands full sentences and emotions. She loves a squirrel chase and is always hungry. She is patient and will wait forever for a chipmunk to come down a tree. Maddy has lived with a genetic heart condition that was diagnosed when she was 3 which requires he to monitor her activity. She loves walks with the woods and is so gentle with her two kids. Since moving to Maine, she has worked with seniors with alzheimer's and other dementias through and organization called Visiting Angels and has brought so much joy to so many people. Maddy is a huge part of our family and we all love her so much! We are crushed and devastated to learn of Maddy's lymphoma diagnosis and will do anything to ensure she gets the treatment she needs.
Olly
Olly is a 12-year-old Rat Terrier in Dallas, OR, who needs 597 for extraction of infected molars.

This is my little girl Olly. The lady that I got her from named her Olivia but I changed it to Olly. Olly is a 12 year old Rat Terrier. I got her from my former neighbor who was buying her through a local breeder that we both knew. Olly was 9 weeks old when I bought her from the neighbor who could not handle Olly’s separation anxiety from her littermates and she was tearing up the neighbor’s property out of frustration stemming from the anxiety and the woman was constantly hitting Olly with newspapers so I had to act to get the poor little puppy out of the situation so I offered the lady to finish paying off Olly and the lady accepted. I’m a Gulf War veteran and I have depression and when I got Olly she was terrified of just about everything and I saw that she was in desperate need of an alpha to quell the separation anxiety. From day one, was training, training, training and within about a week she had stopped tearing up things and wasn’t as afraid anymore. Since I got Olly I’ve been able to manage my depression a little better because she knows when I’m feeling a little down and she would come up beside me and snuggle with me or she would do something silly and get me to laugh. I’ve had this wonderful dog for 12 years now and every day, without fail, is training. Olly is my best friend. We both used to love going to the park but due to recent health issues with me, I can’t walk her around the park because of my physical limitations. Olly gets excited by certain people that come over to my place and she tries to get them to take her out. She likes meeting other animals especially cats because my mom’s black cat adopted Olly when she was just a pup and they got along famously.

Bella is my child my whole world she always comes first. However she has had this tumor for about 5 months and its started growing as I just moved from Massachusetts a year ago just her and I and have been in and out of the er 4 times in the past 6 months due to reoccurring phenomnia so between the big move and missing work due to being sick I was unable to afford paying for the surgery. I finally got my health under control and was starting to catch up and had planned on being able to pay for her surgery in a month and a week after this plan was made my job was closed due to the corona virus. paper saying the vet isn't liable if she dies under anesthesia i know that is rare but i preferred to watch her and make sure she didn't get pregnant verses taking the risk. Butnow she has to do anesthesia and i have been informed this is safer to ensure no tumors come back I posted the estimate which I received from my vet Kreature Comforts. She needs her tumor removed but there is a blood panel which has to be done first to ensure everything will be safe with the anesthesia. The vet also said i should have her sprayed as mammory tumors are known to come back when they are not. The only reason she hasn't' been spayed is because I didn’t want to sign a piece of I do not want to postpone this any longer and am asking for any help you are able to give the smallest amount can add up. Journee came into our life after we experienced the traumatic death of my husband in 2011. My daughter named her Journee to represent the journey of healing our family would take. As an Aussie/GSD mix, she loves to have her people close to her. She loves taking walks & hiking in the woods. But her favorite thing to do is to play frisbee! Journee is an amazing dog! She picks up when I am sad and always cuddles up and rests her head in my lap. She likes to roughhouse with her cousin Luna and also tolerates her cat Lilah with much patience! Journee likes to sleep at the foot of my bed and is such a comfort. Journee helped me raise my 4 kids after their dad’s death by being a comfort for them as well. I am a widow and have no outside assistance. The monthly cost of the medicine alone has created a strain on my budget. Journee is also on a special easily digestible prescription food which is expensive as well. Having Journee healthy would mean so much to me! In November, she began throwing up. I took her to the vet and after testing & trying several medications, it was discovered by her vet, Dr Austin, at Hartwood Animal Hospital that she had pancreatitis. She is on a med that can only be given for 5 days at a time, so there is only a 10-14 day period when she isn’t vomiting. Dr. Austin wants further testing to see if there are other issues. Journee recently lost her life long friend, Mitzy who was a part of our family when Journee joined ours at 6 months old. To help get over losing Mitzy, we invited Luna, my daughter’s dog, to stay with us for a while. Journee likes belly rubs and her favorite veggies are green beans and sweet potatoes. Oh and she loves to fetch her tennis balls and will play for hours!

Pepper came into my family's life about 7 years ago covered in oil and dirty mud, scared and hungry from the streets of Compton, CA. My sister, granddaughter, and I pulled up into my sister's driveway one late evening when the door open a dog jumped into my truck he was so dirty, stinky needed some water and food, my granddaughter said let's keep "Pepper" that's how he got his name. Pepper is the little kid of our family. He loves for everyone to play ball with him and don't wanna be bothered anymore when we stop playing. He likes when I surprise him with his special treats! after he let me wash his face and clean his teeth. He has a big bed next to my bedroom door where he sleeps, he barks for us to let him out and to come back inside. Do to my fixed Income with no emergency funds for this kind of emergency happening, along with the COVID-19, and have to stay at home trying to make ends meet. It will mean so much to my granddaughter and myself. Pepper is scheduled for surgery on Monday, May 4th at 8 am. I can't even stay due to this COVID-19. He has a bad infection that can cause death on the bottom and top right paw from a Foxtail Plants that's in grass which causes infections and death in pet's he was put on 6 medications and was given an antibiotic injection. Surgery Location: Harbor Pine Veterinary Center, Harbor City, CA Dr. White Our Pepper is special and smart he lost his hearing about 2 years ago so I started doing hand-signals to communicate to him and he understands. He is funny, when visitors come over, he barks, to make sure they speak and rub him before they sit down. Pepper gives us happiness & joy to us when we are sad and down about the death of my 2 kids he loves everyone and makes us laugh and smile.
Shia Naru

Shia is my best friend. I knew the 1st time I saw her that she was my baby I drove from Ohio to Virginia to pick her up and bring her home. She was born with a spinal deformation that prevents her from walking and also restricts her lungs from expanding completely. I fell ill shortly after and the doctors couldnt figure out what was happening. I spent alot of time at home trying recover. Shia was by my side everyday comforting me and giving me a reason to just move. When I wanted to give up She would be looking at me with her big gorgeous eyes. And I never felt alone. I have taken care of her and her of me.
