I found Bill on Craigslist when he was 3 years old. He has been in my life for the last 14 years. 5 years ago I was injured at work with a Traumatic Brain Injury. Bill has taught himself to sense when I am having a seizure, and he will lay at my side, licking my face until I come out of it. Bill lays on my feet so he knows if/when I am moving around the house. He is gentle, intelligent, humorous, loveable, and has an amazing personality that everyone loves.

Jeffers chose ME to be his guardian when he was about 2 years old; I was taking photos of adoptable kitties at the rescue and he convinced me to take him home. He’s now been with me for 7 years and we’ve been through a lot together. Most recently we lost two of our friends: Jeffers’ snuggle buddy, 18-year old Hailey passed away in December, and then my goofy 16-year old terrier Apollo died in Feb. Jeffers is a real mama’s boy and knows how to get what he wants (he talks a lot to me).He wakes me up way too early for his food (that he’s very picky about) and he begs for treats (that he’s quite addicted to and he’s got regular deliveries of). He likes chasing his wand toy, ‘making biscuits’, lying in the sunny window, and hanging out while I read. And he also seems to be my side when I’m down. I have limited resources, being a single parent with MS on disability on my own for the first time in 12 years, and after having lost my two other animal friends just recently, I can’t bear the thought of me losing Jeffers. Please help me get this sweet boy healthy again! Jeffers has never had a single thing for me to worry about so he decided that a) during COVID-19 quarantine, and b) after months of Hailey and Apollo needing vet visits, it is HIS TURN. He has a nasty painful abscessed tooth that needs to be removed under anesthesia, requiring x-rays and dental cleaning (by Dr Sarvi at Northgate Vet); the danger of it not being treated is it can lead to sepsis. Now that Hailey and Apollo are gone, Jeffers is my only animal friend right now; I know that he’s been through a grieving process too and misses them. He’s been a lot more needy recently and I get it. We’ve been through a lot in the last year; last June my son and I left my partner of 12 years and stayed at a shelter for 6 months. A women’s org helped us start over but it was vital I have my pets.

Kate is a retired breeder from a reputable Ragdoll breeding business. I got her last September as an emotional support animal after my psychiatrist strongly suggested that a cuddly cat might alleviate my anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts. I'm a first-time cat owner and I love her dearly. I've made sure to take the best care of her at all times. During the most difficult times, she's the sole reason that I refrain from taking my own life.

Maci is a female, terrier mix that is around five years old. Although she was originally introduced to shelter life through an owner surrender, we received her from a shelter transfer. It didn't take long before we noticed Maci was experiencing some troubling symptoms. Maci's urine had blood in it. In an attempt to remedy the issue, we worked with our regular veterinarian to start her on a treatment for a urinary tract infection. Upon completing the treatment series, we found that her symptoms had, sadly, not improved. We then brought her back to our vet, where the completed some x-rays that told us more of the story. It turned out, Maci had a bladder stone the size of a chicken egg that was preventing her from successful urination. The vet figured she must have had this issue for quite some time before we had gotten her. In an effort to relieve her long-term discomfort, we decided quick action was the best route. She had the bladder stone removed immediately, and returned back to us blood (and probably pain) free! We are so happy that we were able to provide care for Maci so that she can live out the rest of her life comfortably. Since her surgery, we have also had the stone tested to get down to the cause of its formation in the first place. She is now on a special diet to ensure that this problem does not happen in her lifetime again!

Piper was adopted through a rescue that brought her to Connecticut from Georgia. She had been badly beaten and malnourished. Ever since we got her, she's been the sweetest to everyone she meets. She could eat all day and loves snuggling in bed. She is a gentle, sweet soul that loves to cuddle.

I got Swagg from town and country animal shelter about two months ago. she was a stray in Texas and was hours away from being euthanized. everybody lovers her and she hugs everybody to death. shes a 40 pound lap dog. we love going to the movies together. she is the apartment office dog and loved by my nieces and nephews.

We adopted Toby after our pet Baron came down with cancer and he was 14 years old we tried to keep him alive we loved him dearly. His best friend we still have Noah is a adopted Dashound and was heartbreaking to him and us and was depressed so we adopted Toby which he lost his owner and was in a kill facility so we rescue him the foundation gave us a clean bill of health from a veteran but when we adopted him and took him to our vet we have over 20 years we have 3 Dashounds and 1 left they said he had an infection in teeth, and look like he has Cushions disease. Toby started getting sick so we brought him in for tests mind you it just cost us over 5,000 from our lost of Baron. Sonogram on his stomach showed pancreatitis and cushions disease from test and blood work and surgery on infected teeth we put Toby on diet and now he’s on medication for rest of his life $145.00 months. We have charged up the bills and try to pay them but it’s hard my wife got over cancy2 Times and both of us are disabled. Bills for vet and hospital bills for accumulated to over $4,500.00 we contacted Pet finders they said go to the foundation we got him from, we contacted them they said we have no money to help you? They gave us a clean report that was not true 1 week after we got him had all these symptoms that’s why we are reaching out
Rupert Bear

Rupert Bear showed up in my front yard one day all sad and lost. Someone must have dumped him off! He is a beautiful polar bear boy, very sweet and loving. One of Rupert's eyelids is turned in and I asked the vet what could be done. I want to get it fixed so Rupert is as handsome as he can be. I'm also worried that he might lost his vision in that eye! I want to get him healthy and pretty so he can find a loving forever home. The vet said a minor surgery would correct it. The surgery costs $300, so Rupert and I are asking for help with the cost of the surgery. Please do this wonderful beautiful boy a solid and help him get his eye fixed. Sobe has been my baby boy since he was first born. He spent his first days of life in a home that was not suitable for him and his mom and sisters. A friend asked me if they could be moved to my house and I agreed with joy. I fell in love with this little orange ball of fluff right away. I was able to find great homes for his whole family but, my connection with him was so strong I had to keep him as part of my family. He has been by my side every day since then. I cant imagine life without him.
