I adopted Maya in January of 2008. She's been my best friend ever since, I've kept her through 4 states, more apartments and houses than I can count. She is my first dog as an adult and she's been there through the loss of my grandparents, my childhood pony and a couple of back heartbreaks. We've been on lots of adventures, exploring every state we lived in. She spent a lot of her early years in various horse barns with me, and now that I have a "real" job we spend more time hiking around our home in Upstate NY.
Mango
Mango is a 3-year-old Boxer/Pitbull mix in Oakland, CA, who needs 2,000 for TPLO (the dog equivalent of human ACL knee surgery).

We adopted Mango when he was 2 months old, after being abandoned and then returned he found a home with us and has been loved and loving ever since. Mango goes to the office with me everyday where he brings a lot of joy to everyone, he also loves hiking, camping and everything that involves nature.

Colby is a 6 year old male boxer my husband Jerry and I adopted In early 2017 from the Humane Society in Tucson. We had recently lost our cat CC to the great outdoors and had to put down our previous boxer, Madjae, in 2015 due to age related medical issues. We’d had both pets for about 6 years and losing them was heartbreaking. When we saw Colby’s photo on the Pima County Humane Society’s website, he looked so much like or Madjae’s color and eyes, we had to find out if he was still available. He was, and the lovely lady telling us about him just oozed with excitement about his adorable personality and waggling tail nub. This was one of Madjae’s most endearing traits, which just made us want him more, the only problem was another family was still deciding if they wanted him, so we were put on a waitlist. At the shelter we got to play with Colby while we waited to hear if he was available. He would only play with me though, so we jokingly said out loud I gotta he wouldn't get to go home with us because he was ignoring my husband. As if on cue, Colby turned to Jerry and began paying sole attention to him. He stole our hearts then and has continued to do so ever since.
Ronin

Ronin was rescued from Fort Worth Animal Control and Care Center in November 2018. When Ronin came home with his foster mom, he was so sick from heartworms as well as heartsick from losing his first home. Ronin underwent heartworm treatment and recovery without complication. During it all, Ronin has remained so sweet, lovable and a friend to all who will let him.

Bo is a 2-year-old Terrier mix in Little Rock, AR, who needs 996 for heartworm treatment.

Bo came to me when one of my best friends found him wandering around on a back road outside of Conway, Ar. Adrienne is probably one of the biggest animal lovers I know, so she immediately went into action trying to find who he might belong to, what shelters had openings, etc. Unfortunately, no one claimed him and no shelters had any room, except for the kill shelter. I offered to foster the cute little dude until we could figure something out. As might be expected, it wasn't long until Bo had claimed space in my home and in my heart. This spring loaded little boy has an infectious and hilarious personality. A laugh is never far away when you're around Bo. He lets HoneyB, my 14 year old dog, rub her itchy nose on him, and despite his overwhelming interest in Houdini the cat, his puppy harassment of her is always gentle and as respectful as a hyper, bouncy pup can muster. He eats like a tornado and chases squirrels like it is his job, which I guess it is since he is a squirrel hunting breed as far as we can tell (Mountain Feist). Every night when we go to bed he falls asleep with his head resting in my hand.

Bugsy was born Oct, 5th 2005. I picked him up from the airport and the moment I held him into my arms he knew he was home. Bugsy has been living with myself and my 17 year old cat Haku, for 14 strong years and we are all inseparable. Working from home has allowed me to spend the best time together.

Our kitty is named Milagro or miracle. She was recently caught on a backyard video camera by homeowners where she came to eat. Her leg was bandaged. She was caught by a feral cat trap and immediately taken to Valley Verde Vet who determined the bandage had been on the leg for at least 6 months. In this time, the leg had become badly infected and the vet determined it had to be amputated.

When I got out of the Marines in 2011 I was diagnosed with PTSD and TBI. Emotionally the transition was hard and it wasn’t until I was given Bailey, that relieving and comfort feeling surrounded me. Bailey was 3 years old when I got her. She has be the greatest dog anyone could ask for. In a sense I feel we rescued each other. Many lonely nights have gone by and Bailey has been there to comfort me. It wasn’t until recent that she developed a cyst on her side. She has recently ruptured it and it will need to be medically removed. I am a disabled vet on a fixed income so paying the $1500 bill would put me into a bad position financially. Bailey has given me everything she could offer, love, commitment, loyalty and a passion for animals that sense when you are in need of a friend. I want to give Bailey the help she deserves.
Scally
Scally is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair in Hanover, MA, who needs $1,000 for perineal urethrostomy.

I got Scally from a friend who was taking care of a stray cat that was pregnant. Scally Wag was given his name from our friend and we loved it so much we kept it. Scally was born in March 2018, and we got him in June 2018 along with his brother Gizmo from the same litter. Scally Is a big part of our family and along with his cat brother he has a human brother and sister as well who both love him and are worried about him. Scally started having trouble walking and we thought he was hurt but it ended up he had an obstructed urethra which is common in male cats, we had him unblocked and after a few days in the hospital he came home, but after 12 hours of monitoring him he was eating and drinking but not urinating. The obstruction can become life threatening if it goes untreated. We have watched our crazy lovable playful cat become a cat that could barely move and it has been heartbreaking and stressful.
