Lucy is my little sweet airhead. She was the last of the litter born and the only white puppy. From the start she was a cuddler and lover. She was born April 2010 and is a bright soul in this world. She needs surgery desperately. I used all my savings at the vet yesterday for antibiotics. My Vet is amazing but does not do payment plans. I have tried financing and thanks to a divorce my credit sucks. She has gotten me through many dark days in the last couple years and it kills me to see her so emaciated.

Spencer and I have been together since he was 8 weeks old. He is my best friend, my shadow, and my protector - we do everything together and go everywhere together. Aside from playing ball, wrestling and cuddling, Spencer and I also love to explore and often take vacations together - to the beach, the mountains, across country on a RV road trip, and anywhere we can go. Spencer does have several "sisters" that live very close by, and enjoys spending as much time as possible with Bella - a yellow lab owned by my sister. In fact, Bella often joins us on our vacations and adventures, and can usually be found hanging out with Spencer in our house.

Big Boy is a 6-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat in Lafayette, TN, who needs $550 for amputation surgery.

Big Boy wondered up on our property about 4 years ago. He disappeared for 2 days. Upon his return his leg was broken, requiring amputation. He also has a non healing sore. Big Boy monitors the yard and acts as a guard cat. His Vet said his leg is too shattered to save. There is no way to save it.

Pablo was rescued from the ACC in NYC by am amazing foster family. Before that, he had been on the streets alone. We were looking for a perfect match for our Smiley, and we couldn't have asked for a better boy. He loves cuddling and often forgets he's 75 lbs and jumps on your lap to be close to you. He's playful and energetic, always up for an adventure. Sadly, he recently tore his Cruciate ligament in his knee while playing. This has slowed him down a lot and he can't get up and down stairs without help. We can't wait to see him run and play again!

I was given her in Sept. after I had just rescued another dog. They are the same age and are so in love it is sweet. I love this little girl so much and she is too young to lose. She is my snuggle baby with fur like velvet. She came with a name, but I renamed her Nala it seemed to suit her better.

Pepper came in to our local animal shelter at 4 weeks old as a stray found dumped in a parking lot. I took her as a foster parent and within a couple days I knew she was meant to stay with me. It was obvious that she had some major physical abnormalities such as shortened legs, a shortened lower jaw, missing teeth, a curved spine and funny little walk. She was obviously very unique. and I officially adopted her this summer. She has brought so much joy to our home and I can't imagine life without her.

My name is Nadia Nada and Samba is important to me because he is a part of my family, Samba is a sibling to me. Samba has always been there for me from a young age, and now it is time for me to be there for Samba. Everyday Samba greets me with a kiss, and I cannot imagine what my life would be like without him. When I first found out about Samba's diagnosis I was devastated, but I knew I had to do everything in my power to help him. Samba was diagnosed with an anal gland adenocarcinoma. This grant will help me out so much, and I would be forever grateful if I received this. Samba is not just a part of my family he is my best friend, and he has been for the past 11 years. Samba is currently being treated at MSPCA Angell in Boston Massachusetts by doctor Lyndsay Kubicek. Dr. Kubicek has recommended radiation therapy, and chemotherapy for Samba, and she believes this will improve his quality of life, and prolong his life. I am a college student working two-part time jobs, and I have exhausted all of my funds such as care credit and credit cards. Please consider this application and consider saving Samba's life, and my best friend. Thank you very much!

Jenny came into our family six years ago when we needed her most! She has been such a bright spot in our lives. When we picked her up she was so scared. I stayed up with her all night and rocked her and cuddled her. That night she became so attached that she is with me most of the time. I am a teacher so recently she passed her therapy dog test so that she could come to my school a couple of days a week to help students in need. Just a week after completing the class and passing her test, we found out she had a mast cell tumor in her mouth. As a teacher and single mom, I am unable to afford the chemo treatments that have been recommended. I would appreciate any assistance that can be offered in order to help Jenny's cancer from progressing.
