My baby boy, Amari, was rescued thrice within 2020-2021. Once from a backyard rescue operated independently by a local older woman, second by my aunt through FaceBook, and thirdly by me due to her neglect. I’ve had this incredibly sensitive and non confrontational boy since he was 3wks old. His mother was with him upon initial adoption and I couldn’t leave her. Both 6yrs old just about and bonded. I’m pleading for your financial and emotional support due to an emergency vet visit I coordinated Sunday, March 1st,2026. The previous day, Saturday, I took notice of a rapid change in Amari’s eye color. It turned out to be Anterior Uveitis. Took $320 to get that answer, but he is not in the clear. I anticipate this taking repeating visits, but one thing at a time. A check-up is due March 8th. Amari has always been a sensitive, kind, and extremely patient soul. He’s been more than I deserve, and I’ve told my own family this truth. He, his mother, and I have been through so much turmoil including 4 moves, and also blessings. How can I express how unique he is? From a preference of being spooned at night, to popping catnip bubbles by day, and trilling at how much he loves me in between. I’m a person who tries to be the best I can, but life has beaten on me. I’ve gone from making great money-to making none. And that’s where I’m at now. I’ve been w/out a job for a year living with my grandparents along a Hwy in which I can’t walk to a job. A tricky situation.

Colby Jack came into my life as a tiny kitten and became my soulmate. He is a loving ginger boy who is the heart of our Houston home. We’ve been inseparable through every high and low; I truly cannot imagine life without him. He is more than just a pet; he is my best friend. He lights up every room and always knows how to comfort me. Now that he is in a crisis, it is my turn to be his hero. This is a life-or-death emergency. Colby Jack has a severe urinary blockage and is re-blocking tonight. He is in extreme pain, straining and passing bloody urine. Without immediate hospitalization and surgery at an ER like VEG or VERGI, he will not survive the night. I have exhausted my savings on his first treatment and am at a total financial breaking point. Please help me save his life. Colby Jack is one of a kind. He is a "talker" who chirps for treats and follows me from room to room like an orange shadow. He has a magical way of knowing when I need a hug. Even tonight, while in pain, he is still showing his sweet spirit by grooming and looking to me for reassurance. He is a brave, gentle soul who deserves the chance to grow old. We just need this one chance to get him healthy. I am facing an unexpected, sudden major expense with no emergency fund left. Milkshake is a sweet 3 year old norwegian forest cat who is the heart of our little family. We adopted him when he was 16 weeks old, and he's been our little everything ever since. My 8 and 11 year old boys adore him. He's their best friend and their comfort. Milkshake is the sweetest, loving most patient boy. He is honorable, and full of personality. We can't imagine life without him. Yesterday, Milkshake nearly died from another urinary blockage, his third in less than a year. He suffers from feline lower urinary tract disease and feline idiopathic cystitis. These conditions cause painful inflammation and cause crystals to form in his bladder. These crystals form urethra blocks in male cats. He's been on prescription urinary food since his first block in May. We give him bottled water and make sure he is stress free. Despite this, the crystals returned and he blocked again. This past weekend we had a snowstorm in Pennsylvania. I noticed he wasn't feeling well. He was straining in the litter box, and crying. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get him into the vet with the storm. Luckily, I was able to get him BluePearl ER with the help of a few very generous souls, but arrived to find a "closed until 8 PM sign" on the door. During the drive there, he felt cold, his breathing was shallow, I thought I was losing him. I sat outside despite the closed sign. Thankfully, a kind employee saw us and let us in. They took him back right away. Forty five minutes later, the vet told me he'd been unblocked, but he was in critical condition. His potassium level was an 8, elevated kidney values, and his heart rate was drastically slowing. The doctor acted fast and saved his life. I am beyond grateful. But now he needs continued hospitalization, about 4 days on IV fluids and a catheter to flush his system, monitor his vitals, and prevent another block. His bladder was full of crystals, and without this extended care, he'll block again soon. Milkshake needs perineal urethrostomy surgery to widen his urethra and prevent future blockages. This is a common procedure for male cats with FLUTD. Right now, this hospital stay is very much needed, but the costs are too high for me to manage alone. We've already faced multiple ER visits hospitalizations, and treatments since his first block in May 2025 in Florida. He was diagnosed at VEG in Boynton Beach, and thru the kindness of a compassionate doctor there, he was able to get milkshake transferred to Peggy Adams in West Palm Beach for 5 days of care. We've done everything right with diet and love, but this condition is ongoing until he gets the surgery he needs. My boys would be heartbroken losing milkshake. Milkshake is a fighter, only 3 years old, and he deserves more time here. All donations go directly to BluePearl for his care. My little Cindy was adopted 10 years ago from Best Friends Animal Society. She is a feisty little chihuahua terrier mix. She loves taking walks, pup cups, snuggles, and her little squeaky toys. She turned 12 in July but I still remember her as the little 2 year old I adopted. Her little face has turned white with age and most of her days are spent sleeping but to me she is my baby. Today Cindy was diagnosed with a heart murmur. Out of 6 she is a 5, which is very serious. Chihuahuas are prone to dental issues and Cindy has dental problems which may have been the cause of her heart murmur. Dr. Anderson of the Fillmore Animal Hospital in Fillmore Ca. suggest that she gets her teeth removed to prevent the murmur from getting worse. Cindy’s best friend is my husband Peter. Every time he comes home she gets so excited, she runs to him and does her little dance waiting for her little pats. She can be grumpy with other dogs but is kind to her cat siblings. Even though she is tiny she is a mighty protector as long as fireworks aren’t going off, she hates those. She is a huge part of our family and we love her so much. While my husband and I both have full time jobs money is tight with bills, college expenses, and a mortgage. We are not at a place right now to be able to afford a large expense suddenly. The procedure needs to be done as soon as possible so saving for it is not possible.
Shock

At only 3 weeks old Shock came to us with his siblings and mom after being left in a crate in front of the HQ building for the rescue I worked for. We took the whole family in as a foster family and ended up falling in love with him, so naturally he joined our family of 6 at the time. He’s been the sweetest, most loving cat, and we really don’t know what we’d do without him. Shock has gone through it, recently he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, pemphigus Complex, which is an umbrella term for a group of diseases that cause his body to attack the top layer of his skin. Shortly after we got that under control Shock started showing signs of a urinary blockage. We rushed him to the vet where he spent the next 5 days being in the hospital. Shock is the most loving well rounded kitty I’ve ever met. He hasn’t met a soul, human or animal, that he hasn’t become friends with. The vet staff hes met love him, and so does anyone else who has the pleasure of meeting this little guy. He loves to play, he loves to soak in the sun, and especially he loves his cat trees. 5 days in the hospital, one being an overnight at an emergency clinic, adds up. The total bill equals almost $1000, which is a huge unexpected expense, especially after having to spend so much to get the autoimmune disease diagnosed and treated. Any help would be appreciated

Goose was found in the basement of an Airbnb in 2024 with his siblings and momma. He was the feisty one climbing out of the box that my son Finn fell in love with. He’s been mischievous ever since! We had trouble not bringing the whole litter home with us. Finn loves to carry Goosey around and show him things like the tall windows and cabinets. When he was quite tiny, we carried him in a pocket! Gooser has a chronic ear infection caused by a nasopharyngeal polyp that requires anesthesia and an endoscope. He’s scheduled to be seen again on March 31st at VCA Animal Hospital on Sheridan Blvd. Goose is vital for my son's and my mental wellbeing. He meets us at the door when we enter or exit. He sleeps at the foot of my bed curled in a little ball. He will lay on my chest and purr contentedly. We found him as a tiny little spunk and have grown up with him for nearly 2 years now. He has this fun trick of fetching hair ties and if you stop playing, he will paw at you till you notice. Goose means the world to Finn and me. During my time of underemployment and unemployment I got behind a bit. This gift will alleviate so much worry and stress and I will be forever grateful.
Bebe

I adopted Bebe from a New Hanover County shelter near Wilmington in 2017 after losing my longtime cat, Ace. She was about 6 weeks old, huddled in the back with huge eyes, and I fell in love instantly. She has short little legs (likely a munchkin mix) and is endlessly determined anyway. She’s an indoor family cat and my daughter’s constant companion. She is an FIP survivor for the last 3 years. Bebe is being treated at Animal Medical Services (Mount Airy, NC) for a reopened oronasal fistula (a small opening between her mouth and sinus from a past dental extraction). You can see the opening in the video I uploaded. Without repair she gets recurrent sinus infections and needs antibiotics to stay well. A single sedated dental/oral procedure should allow evaluation and definitive closure to Bebe is a people-cat. She doesn’t quite understand other cats (she was taken from her litter too early), but she adores her humans. She sleeps under the covers with me every night and starts purring the second she gets a hug. Even at 8, she’ll chase her tail and chew my office chair—short legs and all, she’s endlessly determined. My husband suffered a serious workplace injury 10 months ago and is still awaiting workers’ comp/lost wages, leaving our family with no emergency fund. We’ve managed with help from loved ones, but we can’t cover this surgery. Bebe is our best friend.
Two Puppies
Two tiny lives survived a massacre. Now they need our help to survive

You may have seen the devastating news—mass killings of stray dogs in Telangana, India, a tragedy so severe it has drawn international attention from outlets including the BBC, MSN, and Australian media. The Stray Animal Foundation of India (SAFI) has been on the ground, confronting this crisis head-on. Our team traveled across Telangana, documenting the violence and filing eight FIRs (First Information Reports) to hold those responsible accountable. At the fifth killing site, we uncovered a scene we will never forget. More than 200–250 dogs had been poisoned, their bodies dumped into a massive pit and left exposed. Mothers, fathers, family groups—gone. And then, against all odds, we heard movement. From the pit, we rescued two tiny puppies, just 2 to 2.5 months old. Their mothers were among the dogs who were killed. These babies were left alone in the aftermath of unimaginable cruelty—cold, starving, and clinging to life. The puppies are now safe at SAFI’s shelter, but they are in critical condition. They require intensive, life-saving medical care, including diagnostics, medications, supportive treatment, and round-the-clock monitoring. We urgently need help covering their medical treatment to give them a real chance to heal. These puppies didn’t choose to be born into violence. They didn’t choose to lose their mothers. Both puppies were found severely dehydrated and critically weak after losing their mother and being left in a pit with over 200 poisoned dogs. Their tiny bodies were so compromised that even placing IV lines was extremely difficult. Despite emergency efforts, one was simply too fragile to survive. The second puppy is still alive — but remains in critical condition. SAFI is providing round-the-clock intensive care, fluids, medications, and constant monitoring. Every hour is critical right now. We urgently need continued support to cover emergency treatment and lifesaving care. We couldn’t save them both. But together, we can still save one. Please donate if you can. 3/12/26 Update When we first shared the story of the two tiny puppies rescued from the mass poisoning site in Telangana, the situation was almost impossible to comprehend. Over 200 dogs had been poisoned and discarded in a pit, and somehow—against all odds—two small lives were still clinging to survival. Shortly after their rescue, we shared the heartbreaking news that one of the puppies did not survive. Their tiny bodies had endured so much trauma, dehydration, and loss that despite emergency care, one was simply too fragile to pull through. But today, we are incredibly grateful to share a hopeful ending for the remaining puppy. Thanks to the compassionate support of donors and the tireless work of the Stray Animal Foundation of India (SAFI), this little survivor has made an amazing turnaround. After receiving intensive medical care, fluids, medications, and constant monitoring, he has regained his strength—and his puppy spirit. In fact, he has become \_so\_ energetic and playful that the rescue team has joked it's nearly impossible to get an updated photo of him. Every time they try, he’s already a blur racing across the room and exploring everything around him. From a silent pit filled with tragedy to a shelter filled with life, this puppy’s journey is a powerful reminder that compassion can change the outcome—even in the darkest circumstances. Because of you, one life was saved. One puppy who should have been another victim now has a future filled with safety, care, and the chance to grow. Help Dinki Run Again — Even on Three Legs

When 5-year-old Dinki was rushed into emergency care at Amici Cannis, the scene was heartbreaking. His right forelimb had been completely destroyed — reportedly crushed by a motorcycle. The damage was catastrophic, and the pain he must have endured is unimaginable. Yet despite everything, Dinki looked up at his family with trust in his eyes. Two options were carefully explained to his guardians: amputation of the severely damaged limb or euthanasia. Pain medications were immediately administered to ease his suffering while they tried to process this impossible decision. Because of financial limitations and his recent medical history, bloodwork was not performed. What was clear, however, was that without surgery, Dinki would not survive. His family simply cannot afford the cost of emergency amputation and hospitalization. When the reality of euthanasia was discussed, Dinki’s guardian burst into tears. The thought of losing him was unbearable. This is not a case of neglect or indifference — this is a family who loves their dog but does not have the financial means to save him. So instead of letting cost determine whether Dinki lives or dies, we chose to fight for him. Dogs are incredibly resilient. With proper amputation surgery, careful pain management, strict postoperative weight control, and dedicated aftercare, Dinki can adapt beautifully and go on to live a full, joyful life on three legs. But he urgently needs surgery, hospitalization, medications, and intensive follow-up care to get there. Without community support, euthanasia may become the only option for this family — not because Dinki cannot be saved, but because they cannot afford to save him. That should never be the reason a young, loving dog loses his life. Dinki is not ready to go. He still has so much life ahead of him. Please help us give him the chance to heal, to adapt, and one day to run again — even if it’s on three legs. Every donation and every share brings him closer to survival. 3/11/26 Update Thanks to the incredible compassion and support from this community, Dinki was able to receive the life-saving surgery he so desperately needed. Dinki recently returned to Amici Cannis for a follow-up visit, and we are happy to share that he is doing well. His surgical site is still in the healing process, but his progress has been very encouraging. According to his guardian, Dinki is eating and drinking normally and has already adapted remarkably well to life on three legs. He is even walking comfortably and continuing to regain his strength each day. During this visit, a topical cream was provided to help support the final stages of wound healing. At this time, Dinki is stable and recovering just as his veterinary team hoped he would. What once began as a heartbreaking emergency — a devastating injury that could have meant the end of his life — has become a story of resilience, love, and community support. Because of you, Dinki was given the chance to heal instead of facing euthanasia simply due to financial hardship. Dogs have an incredible ability to adapt, and Dinki is already proving that life on three legs can still be full of comfort, love, and joy.
