Bonjour
Bonjour Is Hurting — and He Needs Us 💔

When Bonjour was rescued by Baw Baw Animal Welfare, he wasn’t able to stand, walk, or even shift his body without crying out in pain. His small body had been through more than anyone realized — and every movement reminded him of it. Bonjour arrived at the clinic terrified and suffering, with weakness in his back legs and injuries so severe they left him unable to move normally. X-rays later revealed the heartbreaking truth: both a front leg and a back leg are completely broken. Despite the pain, Bonjour has been incredibly gentle. He still looks up at his caregivers with trusting eyes — as if asking whether this is finally the place where the hurting stops. Right now, Bonjour is receiving strong pain medication and supportive care to keep him comfortable while his body stabilizes. He is being watched closely, hour by hour, as the team prepares him for what comes next. Once he is strong enough, Bonjour will need surgery under general anesthesia to repair his broken limbs and give him a real chance at walking — and living — without pain. His procedures were successful, including later pin removal, and he was discharged into our sanctuary to continue his recovery. It was a hopeful step forward, and we were so proud of how far he had come. Unfortunately, Bonjour later became unwell and required re-hospitalization. After further testing and evaluation, he has now been diagnosed with tick fever and canine distemper. He is currently hospitalized and is receiving intensive treatment, supportive care, and close monitoring from the veterinary team. This is a serious setback in an already long and difficult journey. However, Bonjour has proven time and again that he is a fighter. From surviving devastating fractures to enduring major surgery, he has shown incredible resilience. Right now, our focus is on stabilizing him, managing his symptoms, and giving him every possible chance to recover once again. His medical team is watching him closely and adjusting treatment as needed. His road has not been easy — but he is not walking it alone. Eggnog
Help Eggnog Get the Medical Care He Need

Eggnog is a young kitten who narrowly escaped a dangerous situation. He was discovered being sold on Facebook Marketplace and misrepresented as a healthy, unfixed female. Concerned for his safety and unwilling to risk him ending up in the wrong hands, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club stepped in and paid $80 to remove him from the situation immediately. Once Eggnog was safely rescued, the truth became clear. He is a male kitten and was suffering from multiple untreated medical issues, including a severe ear infection, an eye infection, and heavy parasite infestations with worms and fleas. Despite being advertised as “healthy,” Eggnog was in urgent need of veterinary care. Eggnog has already been seen by Chewy and has begun treatment, but his care may become more complex. The rescue is also concerned that he may have cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), and a neurology appointment is scheduled for this Monday to better understand his condition and long-term needs. Eggnog’s care is ongoing, and the rescue cannot do this work alone. Despite the challenges of the holiday season, Pumpkin’s Rescue Club remains committed to stepping in for vulnerable animals like Eggnog—especially when no one else will. Please consider donating today. 1/28/26 Update Eggnog recently had blood work completed, and thankfully, all results came back negative. While this helps rule out several serious conditions, it also means his symptoms are not being caused by an infection or illness that can be treated quickly with medication. At this time, Eggnog’s veterinary team believes his neurological symptoms may be the result of brain damage or possibly a past mini-stroke. To better understand what’s going on and determine the best path forward, Eggnog is scheduled to see a neurologist on February 2 for a specialist’s evaluation and recommendations. This upcoming appointment will be an important step in understanding Eggnog’s long-term needs and what kind of care will give him the best possible quality of life. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club remains fully committed to Eggnog and ensuring he gets the answers and care he deserves. Doi
A Curable Cancer Is Stealing Doi’s Face — Help Us Stop It

Doi’s life took a devastating turn when a horrific tumor began to grow across his face, leaving him disfigured, in pain, and unable to live comfortably. His condition looked hopeless to the untrained eye — but when Hand to Paw was alerted to his suffering, we rushed to help him. Doi belongs to a hill tribe family in Thailand who love him deeply but cannot afford the lifesaving veterinary care he desperately needs. Without intervention, Doi would have continued to deteriorate with no chance of recovery. But there is hope — and it’s stronger than you might think Doi has TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumor), one of the only contagious cancers on Earth. While it looks severe and painful, the good news is that TVT responds incredibly well to chemotherapy. Many dogs make a full recovery once treatment begins. Doi started his first round of treatment yesterday. Now, he faces approximately 8 weeks of hospitalization and chemotherapy to give him the chance at a normal, pain-free life. Chemotherapy, hospitalization, daily monitoring, and follow-up care are extensive — and expensive. Doi’s family simply cannot shoulder this burden, and Hand to Paw relies entirely on donations to save dogs like him. Despite everything he’s endured, Doi remains gentle, trusting, and brave. He is already safe in the clinic receiving the care he desperately needed — but we cannot continue his life-saving treatment without your help. The swelling on his face continues to decrease, he’s eating better, resting more peacefully, and showing brighter energy every day. Most importantly, he is no longer living in constant pain. His gentle, trusting spirit shines through more and more as he begins to feel relief. But Doi’s fight isn’t over yet. He still has several weeks of treatment monitoring ahead, and h is treatment cannot continue without ongoing support. On October 20th, 2023, I was at work and my boss called asking if I wanted a kitten! I was over the moon and told her "absolutely" she pulled into the parking lot soon after with the cutest black and white kitten in the back of her vehicle. I was immediately in love. Mochi has been in our family for a little over 2 years. She is so very loved from the moment we got her. Shes a blessing to us! Yesterday, my sweet Mochi was playing and hit her mouth on the floor when she jumped, and cracked her tooth. Ever since then, shes been barely eating, and not very active. Shes also been pawing at her mouth, which makes my heart ache. She desperately needs help before this injury gets worse.. she means the world to me and I would hate for it to get infected. My babygirl, Mochi is very sweet, funny, and loving. She loves to give kisses and shes super hyper at times. Her favorite thing to do is play fetch with her favorite toy which is a stuffed pickle we got her on christmas. She also loves to make biscuits on my chest and cuddle up with her favorite blanket she drags around the house. A few months ago, I got laid off which has made things financially stressful. To have my baby to not be in pain, would lift so much anxiety off of my shoulders. I just want to see her be her old self again. No animal should deserve to be in pain. Especially my girl..

I truly believe my first corgi Halle sent me to find Wrenley a few months after having to say goodbye. Wrenley choose me to adopt, I couldn’t believe it! We have been together 7.5 years. She was an only child until 1.5 yrs ago when her human brothers moved back home due to medical issues. She is my soul dog, my lil love bug. Her spirit is healing, she has always known if anyone needed extra luvs Wrenley has a torn ACL in her left back leg, We saw Dr Evans at Rocky Mountain animal Hospital, Casper Wy. She will need surgery to repair it. Dr. Sent us home with pain meds and anti-inflammatory meds to help until surgery. We need her better so she can resume the zoomies and shenanigans and all things corgi. It breaks my heart to see her hurting. The Duchess Wrenley Reign of Spoiledville is the center of attention as it should be. She loves to play hard, she has tugged the parts off plenty of frens and cuddles up at night to recoup. She hasn’t met a person she doesn’t love and loves to play with fur friends and annoy her older cat sister Callie Sue. She loves car rides and walks My Mum just finished radiation for cancer. currently dealing with a water leak in our crawl space and need mold remediation and now I need surgery. At Panther Ridge Conservation Center, trust is at the heart of everything we do. Through cooperative care training, our cats voluntarily participate in their own medical exams—allowing us to perform routine health checks and diagnostics without the stress or risks of sedation. This compassionate approach keeps our felines calm, comfortable, and safe while giving our veterinary team the critical information they need. This level of monitoring is ongoing. We recently collected blood from Lura, our 7-year-old clouded leopard, to stay ahead of any potential health changes. Because Lura is trained to calmly offer her tail for blood draws, we can quickly run diagnostic panels and adjust her care as needed. We are also managing the long-term wellness of our senior residents, including Delilah, a 23-year-old ocelot, and Nuri, a 13-year-old clouded leopard. Daily supplements and medications such as Epakitin and Cosequin help support their kidney health and mobility as they age. Our ambassador cheetahs, Kendi and Nyambe, participate in the same voluntary care program. This training was especially critical when Nyambe recently recovered from pythiosis, a rare environmental infection. Because he could calmly sit for daily treatments, he avoided repeated anesthesia. Both cheetahs continue to receive follow-up blood work, and Kendi is being closely monitored after a recent skin lesion biopsy. Providing this level of individualized care comes at a significant cost. Diagnostic blood panels, specialty medications, and supplements quickly add up—and as a nonprofit, we rely on your support. Because she calmly offers her tail for blood collection, we can quickly assess any changes and adjust her care without the stress of sedation. Thrown Away on I-95: Help Alastair Heal 💔

This week Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation was faced with a nightmare we wish we never had to see again. Alastair—a tiny kitten weighing just 1.5 pounds—was thrown from a moving vehicle on I-95. Discarded like trash. Left helpless on the roadway with painful road rash and no way to protect himself. Thankfully, a compassionate good Samaritan witnessed the unthinkable, contacted the police, and brought Alastair to us for help. Because of that one act of kindness, this little life was saved. While Alastair appears to be otherwise physically stable, the trauma he endured goes far beyond his injuries. Being violently abandoned at such a young age leaves emotional scars that take time, patience, and gentle care to heal. Sadly, this is not an isolated incident. In South Florida, cruelty and abandonment like this have become far too common. Every day, we are called to help animals who have been neglected, abused, or discarded when they are no longer wanted. It is heartbreaking—and it stretches our rescue to its limits. Alastair survived something no animal ever should. Tiny Duke Is Fighting for His Life — He Needs Us Now

At just 2 months old, Duke should be learning to play, explore, and feel safe in the world. Instead, this fragile puppy was found with a crushed back leg, alone and in unbearable pain. By the time the Stray Animal Foundation of India rescue team reached him, Duke had already lost a dangerous amount of blood. His gums were pale, his tiny body weak, and his breathing shallow. Tests confirmed the worst: Duke is severely anemic and cannot survive surgery without an immediate blood transfusion. Only after stabilizing him can our veterinarians perform the amputation that will save his life. This little pup is fighting with everything he has — but he cannot win this battle alone. Right now Duke urgently needs a life-saving blood transfusion, intensive stabilization and, monitoring, amputation surgery to remove the destroyed limb, pain management, antibiotics, and ongoing hospitalization. Despite everything he has endured, Duke still tries to lift his head when spoken to. There is a softness in him, a trust that somehow survived the trauma. Help Lexi Heal After Being Abandoned at Her Most Vulnerable 💔

Lexi was found alone on the road after being abandoned by her former family at the moment she needed them most. A kind passerby couldn’t leave her there and brought her to safety. When Lexi arrived, she was paralyzed, severely malnourished, dehydrated, and in shock—both physically and emotionally. We don’t yet know what caused her paralysis, but it’s clear that this is why she was discarded. Now Lexi is safe with ACF Animal Rescue. She’s currently in our cattery, slowly adjusting to a life that looks nothing like the one she knew before. She’s confused, frightened, and trying to understand how everything changed so suddenly. Beneath her thick fur is a body that is all skin and bone. Her weakness is profound, and right now her care is focused on stabilizing her—rehydration, nutritional support, and carefully chosen supplements to help rebuild her strength. Once Lexi is stronger and ready, we plan to begin gentle physiotherapy. Our goal is to help her body regain as much sensation and mobility as possible, while supporting her comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Lexi may have been left behind, but she is not alone anymore. With your help, we can give her the care, love, and second chance she deserves.
