Apollo is just a 4-month-old puppy—a baby who’s already endured more than most dogs ever will. Born visually impaired with only one eye, Apollo didn’t see a steep ledge and tragically fell, breaking both of his legs. He was recently surrendered for emergency medical care and had to go to the hospital for x-rays, diagnostics, and treatment. Apollo is frightened, in pain, and desperately needs your help to heal. This sweet boy deserves a chance to run, play, and grow up surrounded by love—not pain. His medical bills will be costly, but with your support, we can give Apollo the care and comfort he so desperately needs. Update 10/17/25 💙 Apollo Needs a Foster Home 💙 He bravely underwent surgery to repair both legs. RBARI's little 10-pound fighter is already eating well and even beginning to walk on his newly repaired legs. 🐾 Now Apollo needs the next step in his healing journey: a foster home. He will need crate rest for 2 to 3 months while he heals, and eventually will need neuter and enucleation surgery. But, right now their focus is on finding this special boy a loving foster home where he can safely recover. Update 12/10/25 Apollo is in a great foster home and is receiving the rest and care he needs to fully heal his legs.

Kali was a gift from my best friend he knew that in 2017 I lost my childhood dog from pyometra due to the medicine the vet prescribed after the surgery, it took me two years to feel comfortable with getting a new dog. She was only 4/5 months when I got her, she is an American Bully, and she has become a huge help with my autistic 4-year-old son that she has been his registered ESA 2 years now. We recently discovered that she has pyometra and needs pyometra surgery as soon as possible or she will possibly pass away from a ruptured uterus or the pus leaking into her bloodstream. She was priced for the surgery with Dr. Mills at Durant Animal Hospital in Durant, OK. Kali has a temperament that can't be replaced when it comes to small children, she's gentle and protective. She has been around since before my son was born and she's helped with a ton of his milestones. At the age of 2 his was diagnosed autistic and I believe she knew before I did but she plays a huge role in his emotional state, so she became his registered ESA that is his best friend. I have been a single mother all of my son's life, I removed us from an abusive household and have been managing but since my son's diagnoses I had to make a sacrifice with my job which is lower pay, but it works with his care schedule that is needed for him. She's his peace.

Pumpkin Survived the Impossible — Now She Needs Us Again

Pumpkin’s story began in heartbreak, but thanks to the compassion of strangers and the dedication of Tiki Kiti and Poni, she survived the unimaginable. Now, nine years later, she needs help once more. In 2016, Pumpkin was found in the middle of the street at just 4 months old — hit by a car and fighting for her life. A plea on social media brought her to Tiki Kiti, where her rescue journey began. Pumpkin underwent a major orthopedic surgery, followed by nearly a year of physical therapy, rehabilitation, and round-the-clock care. She fought through every challenge, showing an incredible will to live. But her injuries left lasting effects — a severe limp, chronic pain, and occasional fear-based aggression that sadly kept her from ever being adopted. Still, she remained deeply loved and cared for by her rescue. Recently, Pumpkin faced a new crisis. She began refusing food, and it soon became clear she was in significant pain. A veterinary exam revealed serious dental disease, including resorption, a condition that can make even eating agonizing. Pumpkin needed a full dental procedure: X-rays, cleaning, polishing, and the extraction of a painful tooth. She made it through the procedure, but the costs are difficult for a small volunteer-run rescue, and continued care, medications, and pain management are essential to keep her comfortable. Pumpkin has fought for her life more than once. She deserves comfort. She deserves relief. She deserves a community behind her. Update 12/18/25 We’re so happy to share that Pumpkin is doing fantastic after her dental cleaning and extractions! She recovered beautifully from her procedure, and best of all, her mouth is finally pain-free. The difference has been incredible — Pumpkin is eating well again, clearly more comfortable, and back to enjoying her food the way she should. Dental pain can be so hard to spot in cats, and seeing how much better Pumpkin feels now reminds us why this care is so important. She’s brighter, happier, and no longer struggling through something that was hurting her every single day. Now we need your help. Pumpkin’s dental procedure was essential — but it came at a significant cost for the rescue. Mayla was a pup born on a farm. I found her in an ad. We were hoping to find a pup that would keep our boy Monty, who was also a puppy company. She instantly took to us and Monty and we were never so happy to take her home. She instantly became part of the family and when my mother passed we brought her dog into our family and Mayla instantly became her idol. A couple months ago she began drinking a lot of water. Losing her hair and she wasn’t there same happy dog she has been. We took her to Creekside in Norton,Ohio. She was on antibiotics for a urinary infection but they felt she probably was suffering from Cushing disease. Since then we have all been sleeping in the living room so she can drink water and we can take her out every 2 hours Mayla always had to fight for what she got on the farm so it took us a little time to teach her she didn’t have to anymore. She is a gentle soul that gets so happy when I get home from work. She love to rub her head against you when she’s being affectionate. She loved to get in her toy box. Usually looking for moms help to dump it out Last year I came close to dying when I contracted RSV. I was hospitalized and out of work for a month. While insurance paid a lot it didnt cover being without pay. My heat aches because I want her final years to be happy. She has been like a child to us

Maximus has been with me since he was eight weeks old and is my cherished companion. He’s an 11-year-old Corgi, the only pet in the home. Known by most as Max (and also “Cute!”), he’s sweet, playful, and vibrant—always ready to brighten any day with a wiggle and a smile. Maximus was diagnosed with a thyroid tumor at OREV Veterinary Hospital. Surgery is urgent to stop it from spreading. Although he’s still happy and healthy, early treatment is critical to give him the best chance at a long, joyful life. Max is a sweet, gentle soul who loves snacks, walks, and playtime. He follows me everywhere and brightens every day with his charm, humor, and love—he believes everyone is his friend. He’s resilient and has already beaten cancer once. He is truly a ray of furry sunshine and a blessing with four (very short) legs. Maximus needs urgent surgery, costing at least $5–6K, far beyond my means as someone living on a fixed income due to disability. 4 and 1/2 years ago Loyalty came into my life. She is a rescue. He was in a home where she was not being cared for properly and being abused. She means the world to me,we rescued each other. I promised her when I got her she would never be hurt again. Yesterday she was hit by a car and she is hurt and I am so hurt. I have done everything in my power to protect and take good care of her. Loyalty was hit by a car yesterday. I went to my front door and she saw my friend parked across the street. When I opened the door she ran she slid past me and she went running across the street towards my friend. A car what's going at a fast pace and hit her. She needs x-rays and meds. You're right leg is beat up pretty bad. Also has more bruising. Need to make sure there isn't internal damage. Loyalty is the sweetest dog you can ever meet. She loves everyone. She is very special. She loves children. She caters to elderly and handicapped people as well. She is just a ball of love. I have just lost my job and have been having difficulty finding something else. Applied for unemployment but is still in a process of waiting for acceptance. I'm really struggling right now and find it hard to make and meet. Now I'm faced with this battle.

Phoebe was adopted through last chance adoptions and has been such an affectionate kitty. She is an only pet and gets all the attention and that she loves. Along with her chicken treats and toys. Im looking for help with an emergancy vet visit because she has been vomiting and this morning there was bloody vomit, she has become lethargic as well as not drinking or eating normal. She just lays and sleeps on the heating pad. ( its been her best friend for two days) She loves her chicken treats and playing wiith her mouse toy, along with those catnip treats. Phobe also loves belly rubs and just soaking up all the attention. My need for help is due to no emergancy fund left since I had three major surgeries in the last two months, I was not able to work. I have just begun getting back on the work schedule and then she is now showing serious illness symptoms.
Benji

Early one morning a kind woman found Benji broken and bleeding, in horrible pain on the side of a busy road. His body was twisted, his legs were mangled, and blood had pooled beneath him. The woman struggled to load Benji into her car, and raced the trembling pup to a vet, but it was still so early in the morning that the clinic wasn’t open. The woman was panicked because the pup was in pain. The woman called our shelter and I immediately sent Benji to the Proctorville Animal Clinic. His injuries were severe. The orthopedic specialist determined that his back was intact, but both of his hind legs were broken. One leg had an open wound compound fracture as well as two additional broken bones, and the femur was completely out of the hip socket on the other leg. Benji’s condition is agonizing, yet even through the trauma, he looks up at his caregivers with trust and love as if he knows they’re trying to help him. Watching this sweet, brave dog suffer is heart wrenching. He’s barely a year old, just starting life, and now faces surgery, and months of rehabilitation and recovery before he’ll ever run or play again. Benji’s care comes at a steep cost. Between extensive surgery, hospitalization, and post-op care, his total veterinary fees will far exceed what our small 501(c)(3) rescue can afford. We need your support to get Benji through this ordeal. Help us give Benji a chance at the life he deserves.
Gizmo

I rescued gizmo from a bad situation when he was 4 weeks old. I bottle fed him and raised him. He is my little baby. He has such a unique personality. He is so affectionate, cuddly. I don’t know what I would do without him. My heart would be shattered and life wouldn’t be the same without him in it. Gizmo has suspected pneumonia. I have been trying to nurse him back to health for over a week and his symptoms are very severe right now and I’m so scared. I will be taking him to Clearfield veterinary clinic to see doctor Laura as soon as possible. She is very concerned for his breathing. Gizmo welcomes me with meows, face licks and jumping onto my chest when I get home. He loves to cuddle in bed with me under the blankets at night to sleep. He loves this little spring cat toy. He carries it around the house constantly. His favorite hobby is sitting and chewing up card board boxes. He’s has such a bright affectionate personality. I’m on a fixed income and gizmos illness was unexpected. It would mean the entire world to get him healthy again. I honestly don’t know what I would do without him.
