Help 17-Year-Old Sammy Finally Have the Peace He Deserves

Sammy is 17 years old. At this stage of life, he should be spending his days curled up in a warm bed, enjoying gentle pets, and living out his golden years surrounded by love. Instead, Sammy’s life took a heartbreaking turn. Over the years, he was shuffled from home to home until he eventually ended up with a friend of the daughter of the woman who originally adopted him. Somewhere along the way, contact was lost—and so was Sammy’s safety. No one knows exactly what happened, but this sweet senior cat suddenly found himself homeless, trying to survive in a colony with eight other cats. For a cat like Sammy—friendly, gentle, and used to the comforts of a home—life outdoors was never where he belonged. After spending most of his life with people, this should not have been how his story ended. Thankfully, someone noticed him and reached out for help. Cathy’s Cats stepped in and went to bring Sammy to safety. The moment we met him, it was clear: Sammy is incredibly sweet and still loves attention. Despite everything he’s been through, he hasn’t lost his trust in people. Sammy was taken to the veterinarian for a full checkup. He was tested for diseases and received a complete senior blood panel. The good news is that overall, he is doing well. The only concern is some changes in his kidney function, which is very common in senior cats and something we can manage with proper care, monitoring, and diet. There’s also something very special about Sammy. He looks like he has \_two little noses\_. Sammy was born with a cleft palate, and someone loved him enough as a kitten to get him surgery to correct it. That surgery helped give him a chance at a normal life. Which makes it even harder to understand how, after all those years, he ended up abandoned in his old age. But that part of Sammy’s story is over now. Today, Sammy is safe in foster care, and he is so happy to be back inside where he belongs. He’s enjoying soft beds, gentle attention, and the comfort he clearly remembers and loves. Our biggest hope is that someone will step forward to give him a forever home where he can spend the rest of his days feeling cherished. Right now, we’re raising funds to cover Sammy’s veterinary care, diagnostics, senior bloodwork, and ongoing support for his kidney health as he settles into his foster home. Senior cats like Sammy are often overlooked, but they deserve love just as much—if not more—after everything they’ve been through. My boy Frankie is blind in both eyes and is diabetic. He is needing go to visit again get more blood work done and to run glucose curve to determine best treatment. But I'm in tight budget barley affording his medicine and insulin shots etc. This boy means so much to me. Don't want loose him yet still young is about 6 years old. We live in motel room getting by. His mom Grace is with us. I had explained in previous section. I am currently taking him to neel vetinary hospital here in Oklahoma City. He is still struggle. Vet requires him be on royal canin which out of my budget. He is the love of my life. He makes me smile every day. He is my emotional support dog ne not with me I'm depressed. I just breaks my heart he can't see no more CC any enjoy chasing the ball or seeing birds or squirrels trying chase them. Him not able see me. I know some days he struggles but he still tries to move on. I am on tight budget struggle working 2 jobs and pay bills and his medical needs. Living in motel room can't afford get house or another apartment due to no savings used on my boy. If rather be broke just long he is in my life.

We adopted Bean in November 2020 when she was almost a year old. She was terrified at first and had to be carried inside, just frozen. We had a two-year-old, and I was hesitant, but they grew up together and truly shaped each other. We also had another rescue, Millie, who was blind and a little bossy, but they became best friends. Bean took her loss hard. I took Bean to Willamette Valley Animal Hospital. She was seen for sudden left-sided facial paralysis, decreased appetite, and lethargy. She cannot blink or move her ear. The vet suspects severe bilateral ear infections. Cleaning will likely require sedation. Ear drops caused redness and discomfort. She needs an alternate treatment plan. Bean may seem intimidating at first, but once she warms up, she acts like you’re her favorite person. She nudges your hand for pets, sleeps on her back with all paws in the air, and always “tells” on herself if she’s naughty. She’s patient and kind with my daughter, who has loved her since age 2. And when she gets the zoomies, you better watch out—she definitely zooms! I’m a single mom to my daughter and Bean.Bean’s treatment is straightforward, but I can’t afford it. She’s been a huge support, especially to my daughter since losing her dad. I went part-time to help my daughter heal.Getting the care she needs would be endlessly appreciated

Found Near A Tire Shop, 10-Lb Bella Struggling With MASSIVE Tumor—Now Fighting For Surgery #2

Bella White recently came into CAMO Rescue after being found scared and alone near a local tire shop. It was immediately clear that she was in immense pain and desperately needed help. This poor 10-lb girl was found with a massive mammary tumor that required emergency surgery. We got her in as quickly as possible and took X-rays prior to surgery to check for metastasis. The tumor was already so large that it was, sadly, safe to assume it was cancerous. Bella hasn’t had an easy life, but things are finally starting to get better. The tumor has been removed, which has eased so much of the pain she’s endured for far too long. She’s currently getting lots of rest and adjusting to her new life at the rescue. She’s even had a much-needed grooming and is looking cute as ever. Her story, however, is far from over. Little Bella still has another mass that needs to be removed, but her body needs time to heal from this most recent surgery first. With that said, we need help. This sweet girl will need another life-saving surgery, and our small rescue relies entirely on donations to make this possible. Please consider helping Bella White and giving whatever you can. TexMex is a rescue from PetSmart. After moving to ATL in pursuit of a job, I was very lonely. I've always had a penchant for black cats, and when I saw him on top of a cat tree with a thousand-yard stare, I knew he needed to get out of there. Sure enough, he had already been there for almost a year. We quickly bonded, and a year later, I acquired another black boy cat to keep him company. When I got Tex, he was flea-infested, had worms, and had gingivitis. I had warnings that his teeth would need attention, but I never had $$ after an annual $500 wellness visit for two cats. Cat Community Clinic estimates $696 for a Dental Cleaning Grade 2, which includes up to two tooth extractions. Recently, he started scratching his mouth, drooling, and stopped eating. TexMex is a lover. He adores those who will pet him and loves to be the center of attention. He likes to think he's the baddest kitty on the block, but really, he can only get the jump on his cat brother, Dante, every once in a while. As a stunt performer, money always ebbs and flows. The guild strikes, and then AI ground my income to a halt for an extended period of time. Now, with a new, wonderful addition of a baby, and the rising cost of living, we have no vet $$, but would love Tex to stay with us.

Mama has been by her human mama since birth she has had many adventures and lots of love, last year she had an emergency surgery from having pyometra and now she needs another surgery do to a tumor on her breast. Oreo Crumble’s story has taken a heartbreaking turn, and he needs us now more than ever. After his owner surrendered him three weeks ago, she changed her mind and came back to get him from CAMO. Even though it didn’t feel right, CAMO could not legally refuse to return him. They hoped he would be safe; however, shortly after, everything changed when Oreo was brutally run over. After the accident, Oreo was rushed to the emergency vet, and once again, his future was placed in the hands of CAMO Rescue. Imaging confirmed utterly devastating news—Oreo had a broken back. The emergency costs immediately started climbing into the thousands for hospitalization, X-rays, medications, and advanced diagnostics. A CT scan was performed to fully assess the severity of his spinal injury, and the decision was made that surgery was his only chance of survival. Since then, Oreo has undergone spinal surgery to stabilize his back. He is still in pain, but it is being carefully monitored and managed with pain medication, and he is resting more comfortably as he begins his long road to recovery. While the surgery was necessary, it came at a very high cost, and Oreo will require ongoing care, monitoring, and rehabilitation. Tragically, he will never walk again, but with proper support, a cart, and a committed home with endless love, he can still have a life filled with dignity. Oreo did nothing to deserve this. He is gentle, confused, and trusting despite everything he has been through. This tragic accident changed his life forever, and we are so deeply saddened for him. Now, CAMO's focus is on giving him comfort, stability, and the best quality of life possible. Please help us to cover Oreo’s extensive medical bills and the care he will need moving forward. Time has not been kind to Grandpa, affectionately known as Grandpawpaw. Not only was Grandpa woefully thin when he arrived, he lived for so long in chronic pain that it’s a testament to his resilience that he’s even still alive. His body is cruelly full of buckshot, he was anemic, and his liver was stressed—typical in cases of heavy parasite infestation, heartworm, and malnutrition and a severe case of hip dysplasia. Recently, Grandpa has developed some strange urinary tract infections that have cleared up with various antibiotics, only to reoccur again in a few months. We are continuing to test and culture his urine and it's time for another cystocentesis to collect a sterile urine sample for another culture. Surprisingly quiet for such a big hound, he does emit a deep, low “roooo” whenever he needs something—potty, water, food, etc. Being from the Deep South, he dislikes the cold; snow is alien to him, and he revels in the warmth his blankets and jammies provide for his frail, aged body. But the sweetest, most satisfying sight of all is how much he loves leaning on us and being petted. He also loves the other big hounds. He knows that he’s been rescued and that he’s both safe and well-loved now. As a registered nonprofit animal rescue, we rely on donations to help pay for the medical bills of the animals in our care.
