Tater

Tater was rescued from a family that no longer wanted him. He was 10 months old when we got him and the cutest dog ever. He is now 4 and will be 5 in August. He is a Rat terrier/beagle/dachshund mix. He’s has 3 other fur siblings and loves to play outside with them and his favorite thing is to watch the squirrels. Tater was diagnosed with lymphoma and needs chemo treatments. He’s so young and I feel he deserves a longer life to watch his squirrels and play with his fur siblings. Tater is the sweetest and most affectionate of all his fur siblings. He loves to give kisses and the best cuddles. He never meets a stranger and always greets me and his Daddy with a big tail wag and more kisses. Tater is so young and it breaks my heart to have this diagnosis at his age. We never imagined to be in this situation and have learned so much throughout this. It would mean everything to me for any help at all. I just hope we can get him through the rest of chemo he needs

Every moment counts as they strive to alleviate her pain and restore her ability to live a normal doggy life. Talon

Talon is a 12-year-old male cat who, when his owner passed away, was left at the local Metro Animal Control in Nashville, TN. Talon was very sad bag of bones, extremely matted, and needed much TLC. It is guessed that due to the poor health of owner, Talon was suffering from neglect and lack of proper vet care. Talon is a very sweet gentle kitty who is starving for attention. Although he is getting along with our other senior cats, Talon is a more only cat kind of guy since he can be a bit standoffish with the other senior kitties around, but given the opportunity, he becomes quite the cuddle-bug! With his shaved coat, he also does enjoy wearing his tee-shirts and even costumes to keep his thin frame Talon faced several medical crises and ended up at the Blue Pearl Emergency Vet Hospital for a brief stay. He since had a new glucose monitor placed at our own vet and is closely tracked to ensure proper blood sugar levels. He takes 2 units of insulin, 2 times per day. Talon is quite the champ about his injection regimen and is responding well. At the shelter, feeling stressed and alone, poor matted Talon had to be completely shaved which showed his poor thin body and frail condition. The shelter staff did tests, which showed that Talon has diabetes. His medical condition was beyond what animal control could provide so they reached out to local rescues to find help for this lovely and loving senior kitty. Talon must remain on a special diet of only high protein wet food and with his mounting vet bills to monitor and treat his diabetes, We hope you help Talon recover and eventually find his furever home. Stormy
Stormy is a 11 year old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $90 for Follow Up Testing for Cushing's and Heart Disease.

Abandoned by her owner, Stormy was left to wander aimlessly. Finally, someone called the shelter, and Stormy was brought in as a stray. Her condition was dire and her huge, distended abdomen puzzled the shelter vet. At that point, she was transferred to our sanctuary. After many tests, Stormy was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease, a heart condition and severe dental disease. Stormy has been in our care for 6 months and has started to lose weight. It's time to test the medication levels in her system and well as do a thorough exam and a panel of lab tests during a hospital stay. Cushing's dogs need regular monitoring as the condition can lead to other problems. Madison Vet Hospital has been treating Stormy since her arrival at the sanctuary. Despite all that Stormy has endured, she is the sweetest beagle who is determined not to let her serious health issues get her down. With a hearty appetite, Stormy lets us know when she's hungry and when she has to go outside. She's mellow and friendly with all the other dogs here and loves to snuggle with her caretakers, too. Stormy has the most endearing facial expressions and makes us smile. We are a non-profit animal sanctuary that provides high quality, lifetime care for severely ill animals, like Stormy, that have no other options. Join Tip My Ear TNR & Rescue's mission to decrease the feral cat population and improve the lives of community cats by donating towards their TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program. Their mission is to compassionately address cat overpopulation through humane TNR methods, providing essential care, and finding forever homes for friendly cats and kittens. Tip My Ear is a 501(c)(3) corporation established in April 2021, dedicated to facilitating Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts in Pasco County Florida. They also rescue and provide treatment for injured and sick cats that need urgent medical care. In 2021, Tip My Ear successfully facilitated the TNR of approximately 350 cats. As of June 2nd, 2022, their efforts had already resulted in the TNR of 389 cats. As their numbers continue to grow, the associated cost for spay and neuter increase as well. A good Samaritan discovered her on the side of the road and was shocked at the extent of her injuries. Genevieve's tail was "degloved." Her skin and fur were ripped from the muscle around her tail, leaving it bare, open, and exposed. She suffered a blow to her head so severe it caused severe damage to her left eye. Genevieve was in shock from all the pain. The person who saved her connected with Saving Hope Animal Rescue, which raced Genevieve to the animal hospital. Her medical team was unsure if she'd make it. They immediately started Genevieve on an IV of fluids, antibiotics, and pain medication and put her on heat support. Once the doctors monitored her, they said she had a chance. Now, Genevieve needs urgent surgery to amputate her tail and additional treatment for her eye. "Degloving is one of the most painful things a cat can experience," Devan Kate S., with Saving Hope, tells Waggle. "We are prepared to fight for this sweet girl." Raven, Panther, Suede & Dakota
Raven, Panther, Suede & Dakota are 4-year-old DSH in Kilgore, TX, who need $400 for Neuters and Basic Vetting

Raven and siblings Panther, Suede and Dakota were living outside near Laredo, TX. One of our Wildcatters volunteers was in the area for church work and realized the kittens were living in danger. The people feeding them could not afford to get them fixed, so our volunteers offered to take them home, get them vetted and try to find loving forever homes for them. The four boys are friendly to humans and very bonded to each other! The journey to a new home scared them at first, but they have quickly come around to humans and are happily interacting with the people they meet. The family caring for these kittens in Laredo loved them very much, but they knew they were in danger from coyotes and other predators. They couldn't afford to get all the cats vetted, and as a result, females kept having kittens and although the cats died off quickly, new litters kept coming. The four brothers are overall very healthy, but they need basic vetting before they can be adopted. Each one will be neutered, receive a rabies vaccine and a combo test from our vet partner Animal Health and Hospital. This costs approximately $100 per kitten, so $400 total. Wildcatters is primarily funded through the City of Kilgore, but that funding is only available to city cats. The volunteer who took on these fosters is one of our most faithful volunteers, and we want to help get them vetted so they can be adopted!
VIOLET
Violet is a 3-year-old Pit Bull / Bulldog Mix in Branford, CT, who needs $2,000 for Bloodwork, Spay, Vaccines, Mammary Tumor Removals.

Just 24 hours after pulling VIOLET from Bridgeport Connecticut Animal Control, and we have discovered mammary tumors. It’s obvious that VIOLET was used again and again for her babies…until her heartless owners finally abandoned her at a gas station. VIOLET could not be more grateful to be safe and pampered in her foster home. She adores children and everyone she meets. She is a sweet, low-key little micro pitty mix and is soaking in every bit of love she receives. VIOLET has an adorable smushy face, with her tongue always sticking out along with an adorable underbite. She is a snorer and is the BEST little cuddle buddy! VIOLET is scheduled with Clinton Vet Hospital for bloodwork, exam, spay, vaccines...and for her mammary tumors to be removed and sent out for testing. The cost of these procedures will exceed $2,000. Murphy's Paw Rescue is a small foster-based rescue, and large unexpected medical expenses really take a toll. We are hoping that our incredible supporters will rally up and donate towards VIOLET'S needs so that we can continue to help countless other dogs who need our help.
DJ
DJ is a 7-year-old Mix in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,464 for Treatment for Heartworm, Intestinal Parasites, Skin and Ear Infections.

If ever a dog deserved joy, it’s DJ. This sweet and sociable 7-year-old found himself at a shelter and in need of extensive medical care. When we learned of his needs, we stepped up and took him into our sanctuary program. While his list of ailments is both heartbreaking and long, DJ has a good chance of recovering and will live out his senior years surrounded by loving caretakers. Clearly a beauty at one time, large and black, like a black bear, with the most mesmerizing eyes, DJ has already warmed up to his caretakers, knowing that he’s safe in their capable hands. Moving slowly and sedately at times, sniffing about curiously and breathing in the fresh air of a new life, he’s begun making friends with the other dogs and looks forward to keeping them fur-ever. DJ came to us suffering from horrible, painful infections in both ears that made touching his head impossible and required sedation to be medicated. Now cured, he's turned into a wiggly friendly soul. He has an eye condition that requires daily care but he's good about standing for his treatments. He also likes having his pills wrapped in pill pockets and then rolled in powdered kibble topper. Having tested positive for heartworms, DJ is also afflicted by a heavy intestinal parasite load that has led, inevitably, to malnutrition. He had such a heavy flea infestation that it caused severe skin infections and fleabite dermatitis and hair loss across most of his back that will take months to re-grow. DJ is currently receiving extendeed treatments for heartworm and the other parasites. As a nonprofit rescue, we take in animals with medical needs and provide them with the highest quality, lifetime care possible. We rely on donations to pay for vet care. While we have raised some funds for DJ's lab tests, we need funds for the rest of his treatments.
