Comet
Comet is a 1-year-old Domestic Cat in Colmar, PA, who needs $1,584 for CT Scan, Surgery Consult.

Comet was found in Philadelphia in December 2022 as part of liter of 4 identical tabby boys. He was the only kitten that had a head tilt. A trip to the vet where a CGT scan was performed with no indication of polyps. All litter mates (who were named after Santa's reindeer were adopted except Comet. Comet loves to play with others cats and kittens and enjoys the company of a large dog who Comet is obsessed with. He loves to snuggle with him, likes toy tunnels and catnip toys. Comet is a striking cat of beautiful stripes, wide eyes and the cutest ears one has ever seen. Comet is now looking for his furever home! Comet is a special cat who has endured many visits to the Veterinarian to help determine the cause of his head tile. Comet doesn't seem bothered by it at all and carries on with daily activities and just loving life. Comet has a great disposition and outlook and enjoys humans and furballs just the same. Comet presented with a head tilt and has been plagued by upper respiratory infections. He has been treated with doxycycline and famciclovir and further consult for a suspected polyp. After CT/MRI's it was determined to be idiopathic/congenital. A scope/retroflex of the nasopharynx is recommended. If stenosis is identified it can sometimes be treated by ballooning. Comet's case was one that needed medical attention due to his head tilt. This case took on many tests, CT, MRT and medications to be able to determine the best course of action.
Fear
Fear is a 13-year-old Chiweenie in Aurora, CO, who needs $369 for E-coli Treatment.

Fear and I rescued each other in December of 2009. He was 11 weeks old and born in rescue. I had 3 months of recovery from drugs and alcohol. Fear got his name because I no longer wanted to live in fear of my demons. I wanted to live with them and not be afraid of them anymore. Fear was the answer to my problems with him in my life I stayed Clean. Not consecutively, but now I have over 7 years. Fear has always been a lover of people. He's not afraid of anyone and runs up to them and starts licking their hand. Even people he shouldn't. Kids love him. He has never snarled or bitten anyone. When I'm at work, Fear is alone because as he is my service dog and helps with my disassociation and seizures he's trained to respond, but he's too engaging for me to take to work. He loves hi Baba. Fear loves to talk. Fear can sing if prompted. Fear likes to play games with his Dad. Fear loves to chew on his Babies and play ball, but he still doesn't know how to play fetch. He loves to beg, but he rarely eats people food. Fear was born with a heart murmur and a lump on his head that is non-cancerous. Fear goes to the vet at least every 1-3 months whether it be for something as simple as a vaccine booster or nail trim or something for evasive like a Urine Culture or Poop Test. He gets a lot of UTI's and has to get expensive antibiotics each time. Fear regularly gets blood draws, ultrasounds, and x-rays. Fear saw his vet last week for a UTI and had to get a Urine Test, Urine Culture, Injectable Antibiotics, and Cranberry supplements. I need help paying that bill off. I'm trying to catch up on rent and IRS payments, and bills.
Robin
Robin is a 3-year-old DSH Cat in Huntington, WV, who needs $1,700 for Leg Amputation Due to Being Shot.

Robin was likely someone's beloved companion when he showed up at someone's house, seemingly in good condition but limping. Treating Robin's injury would have been a financial impossibility for his rescuer, yet they could not turn away from this limping feline friend. With their limited resources already stretched thin, the kind-hearted person had no choice but to bring him to the shelter for help. Unfortunately, he could not bear any weight on his leg and required medical evaluation - an expense the shelter couldn't afford. We were then asked to help Robin financially with his emergency care. We couldn't say no and watch this sweet little kitty suffer. Sending Robin for an X-Ray was heartbreaking - discovering that a bullet had pulverized his leg and scattered fragments of bone all over the place. We knew immediately that amputation was the only viable option, as even if it were possible to fix his leg, there was no guarantee he'd ever walk correctly again. Pearl
Pearl is a 3-year-old DSH Cat in Sarasota, FL, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Surgery and Blood Transfusion.

Pearl is fighting for her life and the lives of her babies. Despite the heartbreaking news that euthanasia or suffering was Pearl's only options, Fox Foster Kitten's stepped in to give Pearl the chance she deserved. "I hated those options, so I had to say yes…not knowing how we would pay for this. But knowing we had to save Pearl and her babies," Samantha tells Waggle and supporters. It wasn't easy - Pearl was septic and had a deceased fetus inside her. The poor thing had given birth two days ago, which is far too long for a kitten to be stuck there. This was a serious medical emergency. Pearl is undergoing emergency surgery to remove the infected uterus and be spayed. The vets are doing everything they can to keep her comfortable with broad-spectrum IV antibiotics and fluids, but there's a chance she may need a blood transfusion if things get worse. "For now, the babies are coming home with me, and we will attempt to reunite them once she’s feeling better." Our beloved Mama Cat is in a tough spot and needs our support! This poor kitty wasn't spayed and got into serious trouble. Now she's facing an enormous medical bill that the rescue doesn't know how to cover. Every dollar counts, even if it seems small. Lucky
Lucky is a 1-month-old Domestic Shorthair kitten in Sarasota, FL, who needs $1,350 for emergency surgery.

When Fox Foster Kittens saved Lucky, they discovered he was lucky to be alive. He was only one month old and suffered gruesome injuries. Two of his legs were shredded to the bone and infected. "Thankfully, Fox Foster Kittens came to his rescue just in time," Samantha F., with the group, tells Waggle. "It's unclear how he sustained such horrific injuries." Lucky needed emergency surgery to amputate his front right and back left mangled legs. It was the only option to save his life. "It was a nerve-wracking surgery, and we weren't sure he was going to make it, but this tiny and mighty one-pound boy held on," Samantha says. "The brave and resilient cat survived against all odds!" Lucky is doing well post-op and learning to balance and get around on his two opposing legs. "Adjusting to life on two legs isn't easy, but we know kittens are incredibly resilient," Samantha adds. "He's already learning to navigate and getting stronger each day." Now the rescue group is racing to raise money to pay for his surgery and future medical needs. Every dollar you give will make a huge difference in Lucky's life.
Chico
Chico is a 1-year-old Chihuahua in Norwalk, CT, who needs $2,000 for Corrective Osteotomy.

Chico came to our shelter from New Haven Animal Control. He was found as stray. Due to his anxious personality and seems to have the need to want and enjoy company, we found a foster with a chihuahua that Chico has been enjoying playing and snuggling with. The same foster will be his medical foster post-surgery. During his stay at our shelter, Chico loved snuggling in the arms on laps of staff and volunteers, especially our interns. He is a social eater, which means he eats his meals in the company of a human in his presence. When introduced to foster "mom" and her chihuahua, Chico was ready to play with his young energy. Chico loves all! Even with a injury and lameness to his front leg, Chico is agile to get upright on his back legs and get your attention. He greets everyone with such cuteness of smiling eyes. He is extra special for a young dog and being introduced to new environments of two animal shelters, and new faces, he adapted very well with his cheerful attitude of rushing to make new friends. Chico has a malunion of a right RU fracture leading to an angular limb valgus deformity. This is causing lameness and intermittent non-weight bearing. Abnormal weight bearing through these joints can lead to arthritis in these joints. Corrective osteotomy will allow for return to normal limb use. PAWS relies on donations, fundraisers, and grants to assist in the costs of operations, animal care, food to medical costs. Helping Chico with a surgery will help him not be overlooked for adoption if an adopter had to take on this expensive veterinary cost.
Gizmo

I adopted Gizmo 6 years ago from a family that couldn't keep him. He is very loving and vocal. He has fleas so bad and I lost my job. He is going crazy and needs flea treatment. Please help 🙏 I will return the favor for someone in need when I am able. He is in so much discomfort I feel like I can't do anything to help him. I need help please He is loving and has his own personality. He loves to talk and give kisses. He is a moody boy tho. If u don't pet him he will give you a hard love bite. He needs a lot of attention and if u don't give it to him he will act out. He is very jealous but in a cute way. We love him very much and hate seeing him like this. He is very special. I have never had a cat like Gizmo. He loves my kids and loves cuddling. But you know when he has had enough. His ears go back and he meows a different meow lol. He makes us laugh because he loves sitting like a human. And he is pleasantly plump so makes it all the more cute. He is one of a kind He has all his vaccinations. Rabies distemper and is due for a veterinarian visit. He went to the vet and does not like going at all. I was getting revolution flea treatment from the veterinarian clinic but because he is due for a visit I can't get it until he is seen I recently got sick I had pulmonary embolisms with infarction in both lungs. I almost died and caused me to lose my job and I have 2 teenagers and no income now so it's a struggle

Meet Queso. Queso was rescued from Texas. He has been very sick with leptospirosis. He finally was released from the animal hospital this past weekend. Where The Love Is made sure this puppy had all the medical attention it needed. This rescue relies on 100% donations and needs help to cover the large medical cost for Queso. Queso is a playful puppy that everyone loves at the rescue. Queso has a sister at the rescue they keep each other company. Queso is waiting to eventually go to a forever home with a loving family. The rescue’s volunteers give so much love to the dogs. The rescue also has a volunteer trainer come in to give the puppies some basic training. A playful puppy can make anyone smile. This puppy will eventually go to a forever home. All adoption applicants that are interested in a dog goes through a reference check and have a meet and greet to ensure that the puppies are the right fit for the family and most importantly make sure it goes home to a loving environment. Queso was treated at Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in North Haven, CT This is a facility that covers the surrounding areas in need of specialized treatment for their animals. They have staff that is there around the clock to ensure the dog is watched especially in the early stages of a diagnosis. Where The Love Is is a 501C 3 non profit organization that relies on 100% donations. Unexpected medical cost like this one is hard to cover for an organization. The vet bill is in the thousands. Queso will eventually be adopted to a loving family.
Yoshi

Yoshi is a senior pup that is in desperate need of help. He is so thin, his bones are poking out, and he hardly has any fur left to keep him warm. But even in that state, he wandered up to a home begging for help and was determined to keep fighting. The finder called New Hope Rescue, who wasted no time in getting him the care he needed. The vet heard about Yoshi and said, "Bring him now!" That's how dire his situation was. He's been diagnosed with scabies, a contagious skin condition that has forced him into isolation for now. On top of that, his fecal showed he had roundworms, and it's believed he may have broken his arm, filled with infection Despite all this, Yoshi remains positive and determined to get better. "His heartworm test came back negative, which is great news! We know he's in good hands with Dr. Rider taking care of him," Jenny, the Founder of the rescue says. It breaks everyone's hearts to see him in pain, with his skin feeling on fire and crying in pain. "He barely lifts his head when you come into his room. We can’t wait to see his transformation. We're doing everything we can to help him feel better, but it will take time." Yoshi needs our support now more than ever!
