Nina

Nina came into our lives when she was 4 months old. I saw her on a Craigslist ad and I have always loved the Bully breed. Her mother and father were both purple ribbon winners in Florida and she was purchased there and brought back to Maryland. The gentleman who purchased her could no longer keep her and sold her to me for $500. She was an amazingly smart dog from the beginning. Growing up Nina had many different siblings, numerous cats and dogs were in and out due to me fostering. She was definitely a nanny dog, she loved all animals, from mice to Great Danes, she never discriminated. I have 3 children she was also raised with, ages ranged from 13 years down to newborn. When I had my baby, she stayed by his side from day one up until this day. Nina is the best dog ever! She doesn’t beg, she’s never been aggressive, she loves to play soccer, she will run for the ball and grab it and have you chase her all around the yard. Sun bathing is her favorite past time, she will lay out for hours just enjoying the warmth. She also loves the snow, she is so funny as soon as she sees snow, she is flying thru the snow trying to eat it. Nina has always been healthy growing up, around the end of 8 years she began getting ear infections and UTIs. I was able to manage those but about 6 months ago a growth showed up and kept getting bigger. I took her to go when animal hospital and had X-rays and blood work done. She has a mass in her mammary gland that needs to be removed. I’m currently unemployed & a single mother of 3, I go to school full time & only receive $233/month. I am truly struggling to keep afloat. Nina has been with our family for 10 years, she is family, she is my children’s best friend. I couldn’t imagine life without her.
Pollyanna
Pollyanna is a 3-year-old Calico Cat in Longview , TX, who needs $1,800 for Amputation and Sterilization Surgery.

Pollyanna urgently needs your help! She is one of the 50 cats and kittens left behind when their owner passed away. The Cat's Meow Rescue (TCMR) immediately took action and brought over 90 pounds of dry and wet food. While there, they noticed some kitties were not doing very well, especially a tiny calico, Pollyanna. She was discovered injured and dragging her front leg. "One look at this kitty, and we knew she needed our help. She was sweet but so tiny, and her leg was just dangling," Heather tells TCMR supporters. "There was no question, she was one we would be taking home that day." During her vet checkup, they confirmed she is about three years old but only weighs 4 lbs. They then discovered a compound fracture in her right front leg that was about two weeks old. Unfortunately, the news got worse when X-rays showed that the fracture was much more severe than expected The swelling was calcification around the fracture offered some stability but would prevent any further healing, leaving her unable to use her arm again. With the new information, amputation of her leg was the best option for her to have the best chance at a happy and healthy life. In the meantime, she is confined to limit her mobility and has been doing very well. She loves her food and treats and is also learning to use a litter box! "We are anxious for her to be able to put this all behind her and experience a full and pain-free life again, but her journey of healing has only just begun." Pollyanna will be going in for her amputation and spay surgeries. TCMR is hoping that you might be able to lend a paw and donate towards her surgery costs. Every little bit helps, and they're so grateful for your support. Soon Pollyanna will be able to run and play just like any other cat, with three legs instead of four!
Sandy
Sandy is a 9-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $266 for Hospitalization for Infection in Rear Leg.

Sweet and softhearted Sandy soaks up love and attention like a “greyt” thirsty sponge. Warmly welcomed here when her owners could no longer care for her and left her alone for too many hours a day, she gives new meaning to the term “velcro dog”, following us wherever we go and watching intently while the food bowls and medications are prepared for her newfound, four-legged friends. When she first arrived at the Sanctuary, the excess weight on her fine-boned frame left her winded and out of shape. A proper diet and exercise has her back at her normal weight, although the arthritis in her elbow is becoming more pronounced with her advancing age. Laser therapy and supplements are helping, thankfully. Quiet and charming, Sandy enjoys playing with the other dogs, likes chewing on bones, and has finally found her place on our bed! Sandy’s not fond of thunderstorms and needs to snuggle with her human caretakers until the noise abates. It's hard not be captivated by Sandy's deep, soulful eyes and wide, smiling face. Sandy's rear paw suddenly became infected and within an hour, the infection moved up her leg, causing fever and swelling. We have rushed her to Madison Vet where she's now hospitalized and getting IV fluids and high-powered antibiotics along with pain medications to conquer the infection. Her paw is also being soaked and flushed to help drain the infection. As a registered nonprofit rescue, specializing in senior and medical needs animals, we rely on donations to pay for vet bills. Sandy was abandoned once, please don't abandon her in her time of need. Even a small donation will help save her life.
Frosty
Frosty is a 4-year-old French Bulldog in Redlands, CA, who needs $2,000 for Stenotic Nares, Soft Palate Resection, Everted Laryngeal Saccule Removal, and Dental COHAT.

Frosty was rehomed to our family November 2022. We’re we’re so excited to add this guy to our family. Right away we new he had some struggles. Regurgitation after meals, heat and exercise intolerance. Sleep apnea. But the most scary part was he would go into these strange episodes where he would struggle to breath, panic and stop breathing all together, as if choking on something. Frosty is all about the snuggles. Would sun bathe all day if we let him. Loves to say hi to people on our walks. Loves to snack on blueberries and bananas. First thing in the morning he greets everyone in our household, especially grandma. He has to spend time with her, before work. we love him so much. He brings such joy in our hearts. At first look, we fell in love with Frosty, we wanted to take care of him. He loves to visit our local pet store for his goodies. Sometimes Frosty gets the zoomies first thing in the morning. Lives car rides, going to work with mom, where he makes new friends. His favorite treats are blueberries, and he will do anything to get those yummy treats. First breathing issue he had, we took him to the ER. Vet thought he had a mild allergy issue. But the. It kept happening. It was so scary. Frosty would panic so much he would soil himself.After frosty has his last breathing episode. I found a vet who works with bullybreeds. She educated me on Brachycephalic airway obstructive syndrome (BOAS). Between Christmas of2022 and new years 2023, A member of our household lost his job. Placed major financial burden on us..Vet diagnosed Exercise Intolerance,Regurgitation, Stenotic Nares, NASAL STERTOR/STRIDOR, Sleep Apnea, Dental Disease. Estimated 5k for treatment
Masha
Masha is a 11-year-old Siberian Husky in St. Louis, MO, who needs $1,999 for TPLO Surgery.

Masha joined us in 2012, a little unexpectedly. We were grieving the recent passing of our rescue pup of 11 years, when a neighbor told us there was a dog they thought we should meet. Their grandchild had moved back in with family after a couple years living on their own and brought with them a puppy they didn't have room for. Masha came to visit us, and she never left. When financial and emotional abuse rocked our family, followed by a traumatic divorce, Mom found herself alone and relying on state disability. Her children, who Masha loves and who love her, were grown and living out of state, with established lives and significant expenses of their own. But, Masha has always been there. She is Mom's shadow, doing everything and going everywhere together. She became an anchor for Mom. A silent expectation that ensured she got out of bed every morning, left the house every day, made at least one decent meal as Masha’s food sensitivities meant kibble couldn’t be on the menu. She's deeply loving, and to more than just Mom. She knows when others are upset and she will try her best to comfort them, by leaning against them or offering a rare kiss or paw. Masha recently began to limp on her rear right leg, and Mom took her in to seek care. X-rays revealed that she’d torn her cruciate ligament, leaving her bone on bone and in pain. We have seen two doctors, who have confirmed she is a good candidate for the required surgery, which would return her to a good quality of life, continuous love, and companionship. Relying on state disability means covering a bill nearing 5k alone isn't feasible without jeopardizing Mom and Masha's housing, but Mom would put every last dime towards Masha's care if she could. Masha saved Mom’s life and now we want to return the favor.
Charlie
Charlie is a 12-year-old American Shorthair Cat in Anaheim, CA, who needs $300 for Chemotherapy for Lymphoma.

Charlie is my little tuxedo man. Always dressed to impress.. Charlie was the last one left in the litter after all his brothers and sisters got adopted. I decided that day that I was going to take him home and never let him go. He is playful (when he was younger he even played fetch). He’s my best friend and has lived with with me for all 12 years of his life so far and I hope to have many more. Charlie is my best friend and my emotional support animal. He’s been with me for 12 years now, and has been my best friend through some really tough times. Charlie is a very special boy: he’s always happy to see me and guests, greets one of two ways (a headbutt or a loving head-lick) and has the most beautiful green eyes. He has a sister named Minnie and brother names Mochi and we are family Charlie loves his brother Mochi and sister Minnie. He loves to groom and play with them, share treats and catnip, and take naps together. Charlie gives me blinky -eyes to let me know he loves me and I blink right back always. He is there for me making biscuits and purring to make me feel better. Charlie loves me unconditionally and I love him. Charlie was diagnosed with lymphoma and a tumor in his tummy on May 3, 2023. I must’ve called at least eight different places, and the specialist had an opening the very next day for him. That very same day Charlie was able to receive his first round of chemotherapy. We are looking to fund 5 more treatments. In November 2020 my mother was diagnosed with lymphoma. She went through chemo and is now cancer free. Sue to these circumstances we are in debt. I personally am disabled by the Social Security administration. I am limited to being allowed to work about 10 hours per week.
Buddy
Buddy is a 5-year-old Domestic Short Hair Cat in Washington, DC, who needs $1,000 for Full Mouth Extraction.

Buddy "the breadmaker's" sweet soul came into our life 4 years ago. After rescuing another cat the year before, it was obvious he was in need of a friend. Buddy had been a stray in the country, and at first seemed so guarded and scared when entering our space. It wasn't long however until we saw the REAL Bud Bud, the biggest love and cuddle nerd who has captured our hearts ever since. His signature name "The Breadmaker" comes from his ADORABLE habit of kneading whenever he is happy. Recipients of his love come in the forms of the floor, mommy &daddy's lap, and even his brother Wasabi as they snuggle in their favorite chair when the weather is chilly outside. Buddy can often be found watching for birds in the window, or curled up on the couch with his family. Buddy is the ultimate thief of hair ties. When we adopted him, his foster mom let us know it was the only toy he truly loved. This still rings true! When he's not grooming his brother, or rubbing up on our 10lb dachshund Swayzee when it's time for dinner, he can be found furiously pursuing a hair tie in the "wild" of our living room floor. The rescue informed us that Buddy was FIV Positive, meaning his immune system attacks itself. 2 years ago Buddy was diagnosed with Stomatitis an infection attacks his teeth, causing extreme pain, lack of appetite and resorptive lesions. After 2 dental surgeries, his condition has worsened, causing bone and teeth loss, an now a full mouth extraction of all his teeth. Both my partner and I work in education supporting students with disabilities, as we do with 2/3 of our animals at home. Though we hope one day to give back to organizations like this, we are currently unable to afford the $4,000 surgery without the support of others.
Clementine
Clementine is a 4-month-old German Shepherd Puppy in Wichita, KS, who needs $1,120 for Wound Management.

Clementine presented to Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita by a good samaritan. She had wounds to her left rear leg when they found her. Due to her coming in as a stray, a call out to rescues to see if anyone had any available space to take this sweet girl under their care. German Shepherd Rescue of Iowa was able to take her in but is needing help with the bill. Clementine is a very happy puppy despite everything that she is currently going through. She is interested in playing with others. Clementine is initially being fostered by one of the technicians that help take care of her during her hospital stay. She will have exposure to other animals and people during this time. How can anyone not fall in love with that sweet little face?!?! German Shepherd Rescue of Iowa immediately welcomed her to their rescue and can not want to have her transported to them to start her journey to her forever home! Clementine has not let this slow her down and is recovering well from this. Clementine presented with wounds to her hind limb, more than 10 open wounds on her leg! They were 2-3 mm, which was highly infected. Initially there were concerns about the leg possibly being broken due to the crepitus that was found and the amount of swelling that was there upon presentation. She required sedation, radiographs & wound management. Radiographs revealed that the limb was not broken The German Shepherd of Iowa Rescue was able to commit to Clementine to make sure that she gets the care that she is needing. And then to find her a fur-ever home! It will take some time for Clementine to recover from this.
ESTELLE
ESTELLE is a 10-year-old Chihuahua in Branford, CT, who needs $1,600 for Mammary Mass Removal, Bloodwork, Teeth.

If you can imagine, ESTELLE was found stray after being abandoned on the side of the road. She is now safe in foster care in Connecticut with Murphy's Paw Rescue. She is enjoying the comforts of her lovely foster home as we prepare her for the remainder of her vet care needs before finding her a wonderful forever family! ESTELLE is all about warm, cozy blankets...and a lap to snuggle up in! Her favorite thing is to be held and coddled, but if you wrap her up in fuzzy blankets like a burrito, she is just as happy! ESTELLE is such a love bug with her foster sibling and her foster family. You can see it in her eyes just how grateful she is to be safe, warm and on the way to a healthier life! It is always heartbreaking when a dog is left abandoned, and it is particular gut wrenching when a senior is abandoned. At some point in her life, ESTELLE was loved and cared for...and we will never know how or why she ended up alone and scared as a stray. ESTELLE deserves to be cherished and loved...she has already endured far too much. ESTELLE has been vaccinated and has had a full senior blood workup done. However, during her vet exam a mammary mass was discovered. Luckily, mammary masses can typically be fully surgically removed, and even if it test Cancerous, they are usually non-spreading. It needs to be removed immediately so that she can be on her way to a long healthy life! Murphy's Paw Rescue relies on donations to help support the high costs of vet care. We often take the dogs who are left behind, and without financial support...we cannot continue to help dogs like ESTELLE who require more than basic vet care.
