Ellie
Ellie is a 10-year-old English Pointer in Pittsburgh, PA, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy.

Ellie came into my life almost 10 years ago when she was only 4 months old. To this day she is the first and only dog I've ever had! She was born on a farm in a large litter of puppies. Her original owners were unable to give her proper loving care, so I swooped in and took her as soon as I saw a picture of her adorable little puppy face. She has been the absolute light of my life since day one! Ellie is the glue that holds our household together. She has a bed in every room so she stays very comfortable at all times. Her favorite toys are stuffed animals - she takes them everywhere with her, including road trips! She loves hanging her head out the window, letting her nose take her on adventures, and cuddling with Mom and Dad at every chance she gets. We call her our "Hunny Bunny". Ellie knows how to say "I Love You" on command with 3 little "awoos". She is willing to do all of the tricks to get a treat, including roll over, sit pretty, and kisses. The shakies come out when there is loud thunder, so she was very happy when we moved out of Florida! Our favorite thing she has learned is to tell us when she needs to go outside. Rain or shine, she is always excited for a walk! Ellie was recently diagnosed with Large Cell Lymphoma. This came as a surprise to us all, when one day we noticed that her lymph nodes had suddenly become very swollen. Ellie is undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatment, which will take a total of 6 months to complete. This is a sudden and major expense, without an emergency fund to supplement from. We recently relocated across country, to which our account took a major hit. These funds would allow us to give our beloved dog a better quality of living for the rest of her life.
Tootie
Tootie is a 7-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $44 for Refill Needed of Anti-Nausea Medication.

Tootie is one of the "Triplets" here at The Sanctuary. Born with Blind Truman and Taffy, Tootie is the lightest brindle, the smallest and the most sensitive of the three. Once we learned that she was available and needed a soft spot to land, we immediately made the 11 hour round trip drive to pick her up. Like her brother, Blind Truman, she suffers from hypertension which, thankfully, is now being controlled with medications. Tootie has recently developed kidney disease and is on medications to slow it’s progression. Tootie is the most emotional one of the three siblings and she's very bonded to them. They are her security blankets and it's hard to get photos of Tootie alone. Toot-toot-Tootie, with her golden gaze, luminous eyes and beautiful brindle coat, may be a small hound, but her effect on us is large. Sweeter than sweet, extremely friendly, affectionate and funny, with a “ROOOOOO” that’s the envy of hounds everywhere, this girl is one happy honey who never stops wiggling and whose long tail never stops wagging when she’s feeling well and with her littermates. Tootie has a very sensitive digestive system and is prone to intermittent upsets, diarrhea and vomiting, despite being on a limited ingredient diet. Tests don't reveal anything serious, thankfully but we need to keep anti-nausea medications on hand for when her digestion goes haywire and it's time to order a refill. She's being treated by Dr. Zulandt, owner of Madison Veterinary Hospital. As a nonprofit animal rescue, we provide sanctuary and medical care for special needs animals that are deemed unadoptable and we rely on donations to pay for their vet bills. Tootie's other medical bills have been paid, but we need help raising funds for this prescription.
Bailey
Bailey is a 1-year-old Cat in Las Vegas , NV, who needs $144 for Neuter, vaccines and microchip.

In October of last year my neighbors found Bailey and another cat shoved in a little carrier hidden behind a tree covered in urine and severely hungry. When she opened the carrier Bailey ran out but would not leave the other cat and sat there because the other cat wouldnt leave the carrier. He is the sweetest not only cat but the sweetest and sassiest animal I have ever met. Our family has never been a cat family and it has never crossed our minds to ever own a cat. My other neighbor took the other cat and left Bailey outside in a crate and I offered to watch him till they figured out what to do. I brought him in and the smell was so bad but I was so scared to wash him so I put the crate in the bathtub and tried to bath him in the crate. Eventually I let him out. When I held him in the bath tub I thought he was going to attack me but he looked at me and started licking me and the first night he slept next to my daughter. Now we are completely obsessed with him and love him and spoil him so much. I don’t know who hurt these cats or why but I’m so glad I was there to help him. I’m a single mother raising 2 children on my own and barley survive month to month and I’ve just learned that it’s the law to have your animal fixed here as well as vaccinations. I’ve found the most affordable and safe place here to get those services done. He needs to get neutered and all his vaccines and microchipped so we can keep him:( We would be so heartbroken if we are not able to keep him. I’m a single mom of 2 kids my son was asking for a dog for awhile I saved up for almost 2 years and finally was able to buy a puppy for my son happiest day of his life max was returned to the pet store not sure why so I chose to take him and give him a home it was the best decision I’ve ever made his amazing loving and so sweet Max is so playful and so friendly his amazing with my 1 year old daughter and his even better with my 8 year old son they play every day my son will lay on the rug and they just roll around it’s amazing to watch he loves to go out for walks he will bark at anyone that comes in for a second then he wants to be petted and his fine Max loves to run back and forth chasing the kids he love to chew toys anything that squeaks is his favorite he has yet to do any tricks but he will sit for a treat for about 3 seconds he seems to be scared of stairs he won’t go with us to the basement not sure why he will go down the few steps to go outside max ran out and I called for him and couldn’t find him he came back about 25 to 30 minutes later and he was limping and his left back leg was up I had no idea what had happened he was just laying around for a few days then he was himself again playing but he would not put that leg down the vet said she thinks he got hit by a car and needs to amputate his leg I’m on a fixed income a single mom and I just don’t have the money for his surgery it would break my and my kids hearts to lose him we love him a lot his hyper but so much fun for my kids they match his energy
Reese Petunia

My name is Lisa Murphy and I am fundraising for my beloved Reese who was recently diagnosed with stage 1 oral melanoma. My daughter and I rescued Reese from a bad situation when she was about 6 mos old. For the last 4 years Reese & I and 2 cats are the only ones in the house. She is a wonderful companion. If not for Reese I don’t think I’d get out some days. Reese and I are best friends. Her other best friend is my cat Gracie. They snuggle together for naps. Reese loves everyone and her goal is to kiss her family members on the lips. Her favorites are my children and grandchildren. She has a gentle mode she uses for younger children. She celebrates homecomings with zoomies, Then she stares at the person until she can get a kiss, lips preferred! Reese talks! She seems to be mimicking me and pleading with me. This is usually when she wants to go out for a walk or outside for some reason. She also is a lip kisser. It startles some people given that she’s 60lbs. She sometimes decides she likes a stranger and wants to kiss their lips, they could be sitting on our sofa or standing in our driveway. I have developed a few friends this way! Reese was diagnosed with a stage 2 low grade MCT and oral melanoma on 11/19. Both were removed 11/22. 12/14 veterinary oncology ran imaging and pathology and determined no metastatic disease. Her oral melanoma is stage 1. She can have surgery on 12/20, surgeon feels he can remove the remaining melanoma with good margins. For the best outcome Reese will need immunotherapy/ melanoma vaccine. I had a medical crisis a few years ago. I was sent to MD Anderson Cancer Center as my blood work indicated Multiple Myeloma. I lost my insurance and this caused financial hardship I’m still recovering. My dx was Lupus and Immunogobuglamamenia. Reese is my heart and soul.
Honey Toes

When the homeowner discovered Honey Toes shivering under their house, they called animal control to get this sweet senior girl help. "We can only imagine how she got into this situation and how long she has been out on her own," Wendy J., with Touch of Grey Rescue, tells Waggle. "She is now in our care. Welcome, Honey Toes. You are safe and loved." Unfortunately, her injuries are severe. "She was cowering in the shade in debris with painful, oozing wounds covered in ants," Wendy says. "Wherever she came from, we are happy she escaped. It appears she has had multiple litters of puppies and was used for breeding." The rescue raced Honey Toes to the animal hospital, where a medical team removed the tape and plastic and gave her immediate care. She may need surgery for her leg. Now the group is trying to raise all the money for her care. "She has quickly become a staff favorite," Wendy says. "We will do all it takes to get Honey Toes on the road to recovery! Can you help with her outstanding medical bills?"
Marley
Marley is a 1-year-old DSH Cat in Huntington, WV, who needs $2,000 for Life-Threatening Gaping Abdominal Wound.

Marley, 1-2 year old female cat who was attacked and ripped open. She had a large, deep abdominal wound and we feared for her life, when we got her to the ER. The vet reported a dangerously high temperature of more than 105F. She urgently needed IV fluids, antibiotics, pain medication, and blood work. She is suffering from a severe infection so the vet team cannot close the wound because it would only trap the infection, making it worse. Marley is currently receiving around the clock care at the hospital- wet to dry bandage changes daily. Once the infection is under control, She will need surgery to debride the wound, freshen the edges, and attempt closure. We don’t know what attacked her, but the vet said she is a very lucky girl! The predator went for her groin, which can cause death from rapid blood loss. We are so grateful she escaped and was found by a sympathetic and compassionate person who then reached out to us, One by One Animal Advocates for help. Marley has used several of her 9 lives already, and we need your help to save her! She is just a baby, has a full life ahead of her, and a family that would be very lucky to have her. We have been crushed with recent medical bills and it seems there is no stopping the calls and requests for homeless animals. We never want to have to say no to animal who needs our help. Diesel

He could not eat, had terrible diarrhea, became dehydrated and deathly ill. His human family rushed him to the animal hospital. They desperately wanted to get him medical care but could not afford it. They surrendered him to the hospital due to financial reasons. The staff contacted Friends of Stanly County Animals, who said they'd take over his care. "Diesel needed a blood transfusion to survive," Lori T., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "He was dangerously anemic, and his body had no way to fight." The hospital needed a blood donor, and one of the employees generously offered her large dog to donate. So far, Diesel is responding well but needs to remain hospitalized. The rescue is racing to raise the money to pay for his care and needs your help! "We couldn't do what we do and save without supporters like YOU," Lori says. "Thanks so much!"
Olli
Olli is a 2-month-old Longhair Cat in Auburn, IL, who needs $1,500 for Pelvic and Bladder Repair.

Olli has been with us for 24 hours but with out immediate action she won’t be much long. We found her in an intersection after being hit by a car trying to crawl out of traffic. We have taken her to two vets but the surgery needed is 3 hours away. She is so sweet but in a lot of pain. We are trying to manage it for her but she does need action quickly! Olli is brand new but our other two cats have taken to her as if they know she is injured. She is very sweet and received her first bath with was more then needed! I already love her and want her to be comfortable. She is very scared but very snuggly. This is her first interaction with people but she’s doing great! Olli is resilient. She has been hit by a car but refuses to give up she try’s to walk even tho she is in able and she is very sweet. She was a 12 week of stray and this is the first time she has seen love. She is cuddly and vocal with her purr. We would so appreciate any help you could give toward her surgery! I am taking Olli to U of I emergency animal clinic. She was hit by a car and they are the only ones equipped to surgically correct her pelvis and bladder! Because her bladder is ruptured we do not have a lot of time to get her there and have it repaired before it’s too late! She strong and trying to walk but is in a lot of pain! Our daughter was severely injured this year which has financially set us back and unable to help this poor kitten any further but her want to live is to hard to say no to! We own a small business and in our current economy we are unable to help her further!
