Radar
Radar is a 6-year-old Pit Bull mix in Geneva, OH, who needs $268 for urgent care.

What happened to Radar before The Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue saved him is a mystery. He was found as a stray -- emaciated and unsteady on his feet -- it was clear he was injured. Had he run from his assailant or been hit by a car? He suffered in silence and unspeakable pain until animal control officers picked him up and brought him to a shelter. Potential adopters overlooked him because of his black coat, injuries, and breed, part Pit Bull. "Despite everything he has endured, Radar is sweet, loving, and trusting," Duane J., with the rescue group, tells Waggle. The nonprofit group rushed Radar to their veterinarian, who discovered Radar weighs 15 pounds less than he should, has inflammatory bowel disease, intermittent bloody diarrhea, and heartworm. Radar has an eye deformity that may need surgery, and his hind end is weak due to severe muscle wasting in his hips and back legs. This dear dog needs X-rays to see what's causing his hip and leg issues and to check his heart before treating his heartworm. "We specialize in the long-term care of animals with medical needs; we rely on donations to pay for vet care," Duane says. "Please don't overlook Radar as others have before!" Honey
Honey is a two-year-old Beagle in Huntington, WV, who needs $2,000 for critical care.

Honey was initially bought as a gift for a child, but instead of getting a loving home, the poor pup ended up living outside and getting pneumonia. When Honey's breathing worsened, her owners surrendered her to the Western West Virginia Animal Rescue Alliance. The nonprofit group rushed Honey to the animal hospital for immediate care. Then she went to another veterinarian, and no one could pinpoint why she had lasting breathing difficulties. "They evaluated her for collapsing trachea but found none," Courtney C., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "Honey is a medical mystery. Her breathing becomes labored and noisy whenever she tries to lie down. She has learned on her own that, to sleep, she has to tilt her head back to help open her airway. She's such a sweet girl who deserves to be comfortable with even basic needs such as sleeping." Now the medical team at a specialty hospital, MedVet, will do a bronchoscope to examine her airways and figure out what's happening. The scope costs $3,000, and the rescue is now racing to raise the money. "Honey cannot go on like this in her current condition," Courtney says. "She is only two years old and deserves a carefree and healthy life. Western West Virginia Animal Rescue Alliance needs your help."
Fraya
Fraya is a 4-year-old Corgsky in Philadelphia, PA, who needs $2,000 for Apoquel, Food and Allergy Panel, Hydrolyzed Prescription Diet, Radiographs Limb Study, Sedation, Rimadyl.

Fraya was adopted in April from a rescue that works between TX and NJ to find urgent homes for high kill risk dogs. She was found on the side of the road, and estimated to be around 2 when she was dropped at an overcrowded shelter in San Antonio. This shelter has a reputation of euthanizing 50+ dogs A DAY. 3 vets and $3,000+ later I learned Fraya was not the healthy young pup I was sold on. I applied for Fraya as soon as her post alert went off at 5:30am and rented a car to drive to North Jersey to retrieve her. She immediately showed to be an extroverted, sweet dog, hogging the spotlight away from the other rescues. My friends immediately took to her crowning her the queen of belly rubs. She loves people and would charm and walk off with a stranger if she had the chance. Fraya is a hilarious blend of independent, stubborn husky traits and goofball corgi traits. She loves to “argue” in the morning when I sleep in or take too long to get ready. She also stops to sniff everything and everyone, occasionally collapsing on the side walk to beg for rubs. Her toxic trait is stealing, hoarding and occasionally eating balls at the dog park while running away. Shortly after bringing Fraya home, she displayed signs of digestive issues and nasty ear, eye and bladder infections that required prompt care. I purchased insurance through my employer the week I adopted her thinking these simple issues would be easily fixed. 3 months and almost $3,000 in reimbursement rejections later, I was informed Fraya’s issues were not ever going to be covered. Fraya’s pre-adoption records were flagged insufficient due to her conditions - luxating patella’s aggravated by an extra bone (an orthopedic issue that will cause lameness untreated,) and allergies to not 1 but 5 major ingredients in dog food as “preexisting at birth”.
Poppy June

Poppy June the farm pup is approximately 7 months old. She lives with a slew of farm critters including her favorites our emus & cows. She also has 5 human siblings & 4 pup brothers & a pup sister. She came into our lives giving us a glimmer of hope & love after we lost our old man lab to cancer last year. We have been so blessed to have her silly self in our lives. Poppy is like one of those family members that you always complain about because they are stealing your snacks or sitting in your seat, but you couldn’t imagine what life would be like if they were not there. She always greets her two big brothers when they get off the bus after school & snuggles under the covers with her paws out at in her mom & dads bed. Pop’s loves to run around all day outside, chase leaves, play with the goats & cows. She has recently learned to sit. (She’s a bit stubborn). She sits patiently waiting for her big glitter sister feeds her snacks from all her meals & is so gentle with everyone. She is the best couch potato & snuggler. Even if she does take up half the bed by herself because she needs to have her legs stretched out Poppy June was unfortunately hit by a truck a few days ago. Unbeknownst to her mom & dad she had crossed the street & came running back just as a truck came barreling down the road. We don’t fault the driver, but he was certainly driving too fast & had he been driving slower he could have missed her. She has required 2 surgeries & a very expensive multi day stay at the vet hospital. We are a one family income household & like most are feeling our purse strings pulled tighter it seems almost monthly. With the rising costs of her vet fees we are struggling with the financial burden we now have. With having a farm, 5 kids & 4 other pups it’s tough.
Aleister

Aleister is my emotional support animal and best friend of 14 years! He's my knight in shining armor and instinctively knows when I need comfort. He has gotten me through many dark times, struggles, hardships, heartbreaks, trauma, PTSD triggers, and has been my reason to keep going. Now HE needs support, and this fundraiser is so we can get proper diagnostics so we can give HIM comfort and care. Aleister has had a rough year of illness not enough space here to fit to all that's happened. Earlier this year he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism which his vet suspected was causing his labored breathing since it can cause heart disease. However an echocardiogram showed that he doesn't have heart disease. He also developed a cough that became more frequent until it became an all day nightmare! Xrays showed what his vet believes to be aspirated pneumonia in his right lung, however Xrays showed that antibiotics only made an improvement for the first week and then stopped working. We did a needle aspirate to collect fluid in his lungs, but the test came back inconclusive. So now he needs to have a bronchoscopy to find out what medications will work, and that's what this fundraiser is for. We need help because I am disabled/low income. The Xrays and follow up visits in addition to medications and prescription diet costs have very quickly accumulated and are still ongoing. I am stretched far beyond my limit financially struggling to make payments while also paying directly out of pocket. There's just no way I can afford this on top of everything else that I am failing to afford. I am reaching out again in desperation for help to get care that my best friend needs and deserves. He's been through so much already and we need help ASAP before this becomes an emergency or worse, and THANK YOU, infinitely for any help you can give! We are BEYOND grateful!

We have had Louie since he is 8 weeks old Louie Has been battling eye issues since he had a surgery when he was 5 years old due to nerve damage now resulting with retinal detachment. Pressure in his eye and his tear ducks don't work resulting w infection & to having his eye removed Louie has not had a break in life since he came into our lives hes a very sensitive dog and has many medical issues Louie is deaf due to a surgery he had to have when he Was 5 years old he is a loving outgoing boy that has had a rough life with that being said hes still as a trooper and is still loving and is a strong will boy. 3 years later is where we are at right now where he has having eye issues and has to have his eye removed due to retinal detachment and an infection. Louis super special he makes us smile every day hes got his cute little corks that he does and he also will sing I love you to Whitney Houston doesn't do it as much anymore Since he had his ear surgery done,but when he wants your attention he makes it known and will come up and put his cute little face in yours and put his paws on your legs and keep slapping your legs Till he gets your attention on what he wants Louie has Been battling eye issues since he had his ear surgery done and with the nerve damage it's now created a problem and as left eye resulting in retinal detachment and swelling and his tear ducks aren't working & is blind and in pain he has an eye infection and now he has to have his eye removed because the retinal has completely detached. We have been taking Louis back-and-forth to the veterinarians to try to combat a lot of these issues that hes been having since hes had the ear surgery we have pretty much use all of our savings that we had on him and we are now living paycheck to paycheck and Paying for Louie
Bridger

I adopted Bridger from the local humane society in May of 2018. He was 3-4 months old, and had been found in the dumpster behind a Travelodge when he was only a few weeks old. He lives with me and my partner in a house with just out of town now, but I've had him since I was a junior in college, so he's live with a few roommates along with way. He's a fairly mellow boy, but he's got a lot of sass when it comes to getting what he wants. He loves belly rubs in the bed before coffee, chasing bugs in the backyard, and has a lot to say if he thinks he isn't getting enough attention. He likes to be in our vicinity and be able to see us, but has to be in a special mood to want to cuddle with us. He thinks dog toys are boring lol The first month I had Bridger, a wildfire started upvalley from our house and quickly inundated the town with smoke. I have asthma, and quickly started having attacks in my sleep. This baby of a puppy learned how to jump on the bed so he could wake me up and alert me, and it's something he still does to this day if I'm having breathing issues in my sleep. Bridger has a mast cell tumor on his abdomen that was originally thought to be a lipoma. It tripled in overnight the day before my birthday, and the vet aspirated it and informed us he'd need a bit of an invasive surgery to remove it since it was in a complex area of his abdomen. I am photographer that works for themselves, and have already made an exceptional dent in my savings to get through the slow season. I just don't have the funds for his surgery. I had a pop up photobooth to help raise money, but I'm still almost $500 short.
William
William is a 17-year-old Short haired Calico in Lafayette, TN, who needs $321 for Visit, Lab work, and X Rays.

William, at age 12, was found on the streets screaming like baby sounds. The lady took him home. He needed all except 3 teeth extracted, and part of his jaw. William was confined to her bathroom then posted on Facebook. A lady took him and left him in a hot trailer all day. Again he was up for rehoming. I went to get him. He's been my Prince William since. William is a love and a half. He is my sleeping buddy and my loving buddy. He eats with me, and snuggles like nobody's business. When people visit he crawls on their chest and goes go sleep. He loves to lay in his tunnel, and is a little instigator. At 17 years old he kept his spry ways until recently. This little guy who is 5 pounds, always makes me laugh. He was always into anything around the house. You name it he's eaten it, been into it, or knocked it over. One year I was cutting Thanksgiving turkey. Yup, you guessed it! All of the pieces where missing! Willie ate or dug into all of them. It was hilarious. When William first arrived home, he was very sick. It took our veterinarian 3 solid, weekly visits to nurse him back to health. Until recently, he has been the picture of health, with raving reviews from his doctor. If a heart could literally break mine would now. William is experiencing symptoms of Heart Cancer. His muscle mass dropped to his stomach. He's Sick all day. I'm a single family home on Disability. With the current weather, I can't afford taking him to the Dr. Please help me get William the care he needs, and deserves. we both appreciate you.
Mikey
Mikey is a 11-year-old Beagle in Geneva, OH, who needs $275 for urgent tests.

If Mikey could talk, what a tragic tale this sweet survivor would tell. Both the victim of abuse and a target for men bent on killing him, the beagle found himself at a shelter, covered with fleas and ticks and suffering from an infected prostate/bladder tumor. Once he was stable enough to travel, he was transferred to The Sanctuary where he was assured of receiving the care and love he never had. Incontinent now because of the tumors, this perfect gentleman, so sweet, so quiet and so innocent, is trying his best to “be good.” While he may walk slowly due to his arthritis, this resilient, four-legged bundle of love has made his way swiftly into our hearts and the hearts of the other dogs, is currently pain-free, happy, eating heartily and extremely comfortable here. Like most Beagles, Mikey loves to eat and will follow his caretakers when they are carrying treats in their pockets. His sweet face, frosted with age, displays so many emotions and, thankfully, happiness, contentment and silliness are most frequently displayed. He loves to stick his tongue out, showing pure joy over living each day in peace now, safe from his tormentors. Started immediately on a treatment for his tick-borne disease, Mikey also underwent a series of x-rays to learn more about the size and location of the tumors, and genetic testing to determine if he carries the gene for bladder cancer. Sadly, he does and now we need an abdominal ultrasound to more fully diagnose his condition. Dr, Zulandt, owner of Madison Vet Hospital is treating Mikey. As a registered non-profit animal sanctuary, we rely on donations to pay for the medical bills of the animals in our care. We have already raised funds for Mikey's medications and tests, but we need funds for the ultrasound. Please show Mikey that his life matters.
