MJ
MJ is a 13 year old American Shorthair in Monessen, PA, who needs $2,000 for Supportive Care.
Monessen, PA
MJ is my 13-year-old indoor cat and a beloved member of our family. He lives with me, my boyfriend, and our other cat, JJ. He is affectionate, loves to cuddle, and follows me from room to room. He has been my constant companion through life’s hardest moments and is deeply loved. MJ was hospitalized at Akeso Veterinary Clinic after suddenly stopping eating. A veterinary radiologist diagnosed him with a functional ileus, likely related to pancreatitis or a gastrointestinal illness. He is receiving IV fluids, medications, and nutrition through a nasogastric (NG) feeding tube while his intestines recover. MJ isn’t just a pet he’s family. For 13 years, he’s been my shadow, my comfort, and my best friend. He greets me at the door, follows me everywhere, and curls up beside me every night. His gentle, loving personality has carried me through some of life’s hardest moments, and our home wouldn’t be the same without him. MJ’s hospitalization has created an unexpected financial hardship. Any support will help cover his lifesaving care and give him the best chance to recover. Bringing my best friend home healthy would mean more to me than words can express.

Starlord
Starlord is a 7 year old Russian White, Black and Tabby in Canonsburg, PA, who needs $1,850 for Dental Surgery for Stomatitis.
Canonsburg, PA
We adopted StarLord when he was a kitten. He is now 7 years old. He has 4 human siblings, 4 dogs siblings and quite a few cat siblings. (We love animals!) He enjoys looking out the window. StarLord has been diagnosed with Stomatitis, which can be very painful. He has trouble eating and drools a lot because of it. He needs dental surgery. He will have surgery at Akeso Veterinary Clinic in Canonsburg, PA. We love our StarLord and want him to not be in anymore pain. He enjoys looking out the window and taking long naps. He loves being petted and purrs so much. He was even purring while the Vet was trying to listen to his heart. This was an unexpected expense. We have 4 kids and with the cost of everything, we do not have a savings. We do not want StarLord to be in anymore pain. We love him so Much.

Eva
Eva is a 9 year old Cane Corso in Canonsburg, PA, who needs $1,500 for Surgery.
Canonsburg, PA
We have had Eva since she was a puppy. Her mom accidentally got pregnant while being boarded. I told my co-worker that I will take a puppy so she wouldn't go to the pound. She has been such a blessing in our lives. Eva has what is called Pyometra. It is an infection in the uterus that is life threatening. When we took her to the Vet they did an ultrasound to determine if that is what in fact what she has. When I was told that she has this and it is life threatening and that she needs emergency surgery, the tears started to pour down my face. They said they needed to keep her over night and do the surgery asap Eva absolutely loves her family which also includes her 11 month old brother simba, who is a kitten. She is very protective of me and is also very close to me. I have multiple sclerosis and she follows me everywhere I go to make sure that I am ok. I have multiple sclerosis and I have declined in the past year but I am still working full-time but I have missed a lot of work due to my disability. This is an unfortunate circumstance that was not expected.

Bubbies
Bubbies is a 1 year old American Shorthair in Muse, PA, who needs $1,801 for Urinary Blockage Treatment.
Muse, PA
I found bubbies crying in the middle of the street in pouring rain being attacked by another adult. He was about 2 wks old with his neck tore open. I brought him in, cared for him, took him to vet & bottle fed him! He came everywhere with me- he even got a little famous. So many people stopped to pet him since he was sooo young 💕💕💕 I noticed Bubs seemed to have trouble urinating.Yesterday, he was straining ALOT and only a drop of blood tinged urine would come out. I was finally able to get him into PetWellClinic who recommended getting him to an ER Vet IMMEDIATELY as she suspected a blockage. Akeso Vet (Houston, PA) took him immediately. Theyre putting in a catheter and keeping him for 2-3 days, est $1600-2100. Bubs is so special because he has overcame EVERY obstacle hes been faced in his short life so far. He is so loving, so adventurous, and is just the sweetest kitty you would ever meet. He loves everyone, all animals. His demeanor is calm and just radiates love and gratefulness. This is the third situation in his short life he has had to overcome something huge. He's a FIGHTER for sure! My sweet Boy So I am self employed. Sometimes I'm able to make decent money, other weeks not so much. When unexpected situations like this come up, I live check to check. I dont have the funds to pay $2-3k for emergencies unfortunately. It kills me. I will do anything for my babies.

Maya Angelou
Maya Angelou is a 13 year old American Shorthair in Washington, PA, who needs $1,200 for Kidney Infection.
Washington, PA
In summer of 2011 I found Maya in my parents backyard, in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. I took care of her for a few years, until I moved away in spring 2013, for work in Pittsburgh and my parents took care of her for a few years. I moved her in with me in fall 2018. We've been inseparable since. Maya somehow developed a massive kidney infection due to E coli. I'm not sure how she would've contracted it, since none of my other pets and young children are sick. She is much better now after being cared for by Akeso Vet in Washington PA. She will be coming home soon. Maya is a supreme cuddler. She was a solo cat for many years, but with the addition of a kitten I found this past Halloween, Jean-Luc, she loves and cherishes her kitten. I am currently a stay at home mother caring for my 5 month old son and my 3 year old daughter who attends preschool part time. I am applying for pet grants, but I cannot pay such a large veterinary bill.
